Not sure about this place... Friendly staff. Feels like you are visiting family as it is in a house converted to restaurant Took forever to get our salad and bread. Bread was good salad dressing was good, but salad looked like something I would make at home. Then endless wait for our entrées.... Let's just say good was not worth the wait or the price. My husbands steak was overlooked. My fish was just ok. They gave us 3 pounds of potatoes. Something you'd get in a cheap diner. Would only come back for wine and bread

What a surprise in a little town in Utah. They specializes in Wagyu beef (known as the Butter Knife Beef because it's so tender you can cut it with a butter knife) and the quality of the steak was excellent. We started with the roasted beet salad which was very scrumptious. I had the petite filet and my husband had the prime ribeye. The meat was juicy and tender and the caramelized onion added a nice touch. They also had a great wine list. Highly recommended!

What a pleasant surprise after a day Jeeping the red rocks of Moab! Excellent service and attention from initial reservations through an evening's aperitif in the Ghost Bar. Stellar service (thank you, Pam!); great menu all around, and yes, the calamari was wonderful. Jeffrey's handled our group of six with ease. All in our party ordered beef which arrived just as ordered. Side dishes, bread, salads, desserts...all wonderful! I would most definitely return to this jewel in Moab.

Great service. Beautiful and calm atmosphere. Lackluster food. I am a lover of steakhouses. Going out for a steak dinner is a bit of a family tradition in my clan so I've been to a lot of them and look forward to a good meal. Unfortunately, the food at Jeffrey's left a lot to be desired. The food just didn't match up with the price point. For the prices they charge here I expect great food. And really our appetizer, steaks and sides were nothing special. On the bright side, the atmosphere and service is really wonderful. I probably won't be back unless they reduce their prices to match the food quality or improve the steaks.

Wonderful service, pleasant music and excellent food. If you're wanting to treat yourself to a nice glass of wine and a wonderful ribeye come and relax. Elizabeth was my server and she was both sociable and informative. I would recommend this place to anyone either driving through hungry or spending the night in town. Close your night out with a glass of port for a sweet touch to a filling dinner.

This review is based on customer servicing and food quality. Had reservations here on our 1 year wedding anniversary, 7.11.15. I told the host when I called in that it was our anniversary. You would think she'd respond with "Happy Anniversary!" She just said "OK how many in your party". So that was my first impression. Moving forward we got there, the place is a small old house with a really beautiful patio area. It was confusing trying to walk in the front door as it looks like it is just there for show and there's nothing that says entrance. We sat down and were greeted by our waitor, Conan. He gave us the run down of the special and a drink/dinner menu. We ordered drinks and it took about 10 mins to get them. Conan was very busy as he was servicing ALL tables (maybe 12 tables total). I asked Conan several questions off the menu like how are the rosemary potatoes and what the difference was between the center cut filet and the regular filet??.. He didn't know the answers (maybe he is new) he said the items were newly added and they (the restaurant) hadn't talked about that yet! We ordered the 6oz center cut filet anyways.. The food was tasty, both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. We got the mashed potatoes because they were out of loaded baked potato (we found this out 10 mins after we ordered them), they were decent. FYI all sides come a la carte. During the dinner service we ran out of our drinks and our waitor didn't come by for about 15 mins... The lack of customer service in this place is truly disappointing for being a steak restaurant. My husband said, our waitor is making this place seem like a dive bar and I totally agree with that. The prices are not worth it due to the poor customer service. In the end no one said Happy Anniversary and the staff needs to learn customer service.

Ordered: 8 Oz. sirloin w/ mushrooms and bearnaise, escargot, shrimp w/ crab cocktail sauce, Pros: Complimentary roll of bread with butter for every customer, gourmet-level deliciousness. Cons: Expensive for the what was served, a while between orders (dinner took two hours). Verdict: Beyond expectations. Certainly recommended if you have the cash and the patience. Other Notes: Space is limited, and restaurant is very popular, so make reservations very early. Wine is a common ingredient for many dishes, so those who don't like wine may find their selection limited. Server was Conan. Seemed to be more knowledgeable than what other users suggested in the past, and the one that suggested the bearnaise.

Best Martini I have had in awhile!!!! We will be back again tomorrow. The food was absolutly wonderful and hit the spot. Out server was so polite and attentive to all our needs.

We were so delighted the way things worked out for us at the last minute with no reservations, because we ended up upstairs in the attic, the Ghost Bar, and had it all to ourselves. But with such attentive service, I feel that we got the best of Jeffries. Great beer and cocktail selection and excellent, generously portioned steak salads served with hot, delicious rolls.

After a long day hiking at Arches we rolled into Jeffery's 30 minutes before closing. What a way to end the day. The food was delicious , but the highlight was the service and the desert. Conan, our waiter, was as Allstar. On top of everything, funny, entertaining, the guy was incredible. I would give this place 5 stars based on him alone. But it didn't end there. Desert. Oh my, the desert. The Creme Bulee was the best thing I've put in my mouth. Not overly rich, over the top. Just perfect. I could eat that every day. I'd eat it for breakfast. Also noted, the tiramisu was equally incredible, as I snuck a few bites from my friends plate whilst they were in the bathroom. In closing: Come here, eat here, drink here, cross your fingers you are blessed with Conan the Waitbarian 's service.

The service was excellent. The steak was fine but nothing extraordinary. It comes with a very simple salad and no veggies. Everything is extra. The steak was perfectly done but slightly chewy. I expected better. The window air conditioner sits in the wall above three tables. It is very noisy and blasts cold air. Outside would have been better.

Went here for dinner last night solo. I recommend making reservations, even being a party of one took about 15/20 mins for seating, and that was at 8:30pm! Decor is nice, really liked the outdoor patio seating! Foodwise, I wasn't that impressed though.. for the prices anyway! Drinks: Solid, had the pinkie up, was tasty! App: Idk how a restaurant that features $30+ entrees can serve cold rolls that literally taste like hamburger buns... no flavor at all. Makes for a weird first impression when you see aged beef and beef wellington, quality of bread didnt jive with what they had on their menu... you expect more. I also ordered escargot as an app, they make it differently though with a tomato based sauce. sounded interesting compared to the regular butter sauce but.. I wasnt a fan. I wanted to be, but it tastes really salty to me and I didn't like that I couldn't really tell what was what in all the sauce. the mushrooms in it were good tho! When the waiter came over, he saw I didn't like it, seemed to apologize kinda, and took it away.. so I threw away $9 on that. Entree: Got the 6 oz. filet and I will say, the steak was FABULOUS! Nice and juicy, thick yet cooked just the way I wanted, perfectly medium-rare. Flavor was awesome, ate every bit of that! The salad that came with it was also great. Service: Decent, not noteworthy.. they were pretty slow though, considering there were only a couple other parties beside me on the patio. I get impatient when im sitting with an empty plate in front of me for 15 mins when the place is very small. Waiter was friendly though!! So overall... not too bad! Hard to judge based on one visit! I should have picked a different app too. That said, for $60 for one person, I would have expected a bit more, but I wasnt disatisfied just a bit disappointed after rave reviews.

During the winter, there doesn't seem to be a ton of dining options that are open in Moab as several places seem to close down for the season. Jeffrey's was one of the few finer dining establishments that seemed to be open on Dec 31. Luckily, I read the reviews and was able to make reservations the night before - reservations are a must with Jeffrey's even if this is Moab. It's a cute establishment off the main strip and resembles a charming home. The dining room is right through the door and on the main floor. They do have a small bar (Ghost Bar) upstairs that you can go to for pre or post dinner cocktails. The interior is simple and charming. For the holidays, holiday lights added a little more flair. Jazz and old pop favorites ooze from the speakers. I took notes from the other Yelp reviews and stayed away from the steaks. Seeing the prices, I agree that the steaks seem overpriced, even if they are serving American Wagyu beef. Instead, I would suggest the Beef Wellington, which was delicious, cooked to order (medium), and filling. For about $26 for the plate, I was quite pleased. The fried calamari is also one of the better ones I've tried - and I've sampled quite a few. Large strips are expertly fried in batter and oil. The dipping sauce was also quite good. The Nonna's bread pudding is a nice way to end the meal - good, but not great. Our server, Pam, was as delightful as can be. Everyone was very nice and pleasant. We went upstairs after dinner for a hot cocoa (not on the menu, but they rustled one up) and a glass of a local white wine from Spanish Valley (would not recommend). Jeffrey's is definitely an option for a finer dining occasion in Moab.

When in Moab...quaint small and the Beef Wellington was amazingly delicious. Dry Aged steaks and we noted for its small size the number of waiters. Service was excellent. Wine and Beer Selection were terrific. Highly recommend.

Nearing the end of a two week family road trip, we were looking for a good meal with great service. We got a great meal with exceptional service. A nice, family owned steak house with great attention to detail. We had steak, shrimp scampi, and my daughter took a chance on, and now loves, the chicken-fried steak. Good drinks and wine selection. Thank you, Chester, for taking such good care of us. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Moab.

We came here without a reservation (at 530) and they were able to seat us on the patio immediately. Which was awesome because the first place we were going to was 100% booked until 9pm. I ordered the beef Wellington and it was amazing. I've never had it before but I will look for it on the menu from now on. We have a youngster so we're early birds and honestly not that hard to please but we do like a delicious meal once in a while. Wish they had ice cream on the menu for dessert - especially when it's warm out. Makes us wish we lived closer to come back more often!

We ate here 1.5 years ago around Xmas, so why am I writing this now you ask? Because I'm in a review writing mood and was thinking about calamari - and pretty much every time my wife and I have eaten calamari these past 1.5 years, we've said something like "this isn't as good as that place we ate at in Utah". And that place was Jeffrey's. The rest of the food was good too - I had a steak and I remember being very satisfied. I also remember the place being in a quaint house, and the the owners being a bit snobby about our reservations, refusing to seat us until exactly our reserved time despite the place being nearly empty (-1 star for snobbery). But anyways, back to where I started - try the calamari :-)

Ahh... an excellent dining experience in Moab (after an OK dinner the night before). Reservations are recommended, as this fine-dining restaurant has very limited seating. Service was very pleasant and unrushed; however, our server didn't seem as knowledgeable on the menu items as the information provided by the other servers. The Wagyu beef was truly tender and delicious; however, the steak sizes were inconsistent. Considering 3 of us ordered the same cut and doneness, 1 of the 3 steaks appeared thinner and more cooked than the others. The steaks are served with a nice house salad. The Sauteed Mushrooms and Tiramisu were both delightfully flavorful! Corkage fee was a reasonable $12.00. Favorite dining experience and meal while in Moab!!

Everything about this place is great. From the wine, to the appetizers, and entrees. I had their grilled pork chops, with garlic mashed potatoes, and steamed carrots. My hubby had their small filet with mushrooms. We also ordered bread pudding to go. Our waitress was awesome, and very knowledgable. If you are staying in Moab, go to Jeffrey's!

I'm just going to agree with all the great reviews that came before mine, then add...it's a very small dining area. But, that is what adds to the charm. We were there on a Tuesday night in November (this is off season in Moab) and it was still packed! The staff was very friendly, prompt, and professional. We had the calamari appetizer, an 8 oz filet special, and the salmon piccata. I ordered the filet medium. Pam, our waitress said 'medium' would be pink all the way through. It came well done. Boo. But, you know, these things happen now and then. However, Pam was practically mortified. She immediately had the kitchen begin a new steak, apologized profusely and offered us free dessert. When my steak came, it was perfect! So tender, absolutely amazing. We enjoyed an after dinner coffee in the Ghost Bar lounge upstairs. Just cozy and a great, relaxing end to our meal. Be sure to find out about the name, and say hello to Maureen for us!

What a great find at the end of a long day at the Arches! Our server (Pam) was lovely and very accommodating since my husband and I came in shortly before the restaurant was closing! We ordered the 12oz New York Steak that came with a house salad, a side of mashed potatoes, and Malbec wine. The steak was cooked to perfection and had such a wonderful flavor to it. The salad was very good with house-made ranch dressing. We sat outside on a wonderful garden patio. All in all a wonderful late night experience!

Went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. Greeted promptly by the hostess and taken upstairs to the ghost bar. Had drinks and calamari. As far as calamari goes it was fine...not great, not bad. Not sure why we were taken upstairs. Then taken to the patio to dine. Our server was great! Our food was not. My husband had the ribeye and felt it was lacking in flavor. I ordered a 6 oz filet medium rare. It was served on the medium side (over cooked for my liking). The table next to us also complained that their steak was tough. The salad was very good and fresh. The bread pudding was delicious! Cute place, nice staff.

We made reservations through open table and arrived a few minutes early. Pam greeted us and escorted us up to the Ghost bar. After a couple of wonderful ghost stories (the building is from the late 1800's) and the delivery of our before dinner drinks, we were escorted to our table. Stormy was our server and she was fantastic. We ordered appetizers and our delicious meal began. The escargot, although different than we've experienced before, was very good. Next came the cold and crisp salads. Our entrees were tenderloins that were so tender we could have cut them with butter knives. Throughout the dinner, Kim was right there refilling our water glasses. We were too full for dessert, but the after dinner coffee was really good. It is hard to say whether the food or service was better...both were right on and worth the five star review.

Really 3 1/2. Chester our server w as great. The steak cut was great but it had no seasoning so it was really plain, I mean weird plain. The place was cozy, shoestring fries very good. It just wasn't 4stars for me but honestly nothing in moab is to be honest.

Pricey yes, but the best steak I've ever eaten. Great building, personalized service. Enthusiastic staff, very helpful, patient, knowledgeable. Delicious. When we have another spare 140$ to throw down on dinner, I'm sure we will. Amazing.

Had dinner here recently while visiting Arches National Park: The restaurant is very cute (quaint)., with a small town feel too it, making it a fun change if used to eating at a big-city steakhouse! Service was very friendly, attentive but not overwhelming. The menu may be smaller then you are used to in a larger city or larger restaurant, but there is something for everyone to love. I would happily return on my next visit to Moab!

Jeffrey's is a very small steakhouse. It was kind of a yin/yang type of experience for me and I will explain why. I had the 8 oz. NY strip which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the 6oz filet which was also cooked perfectly. The accompanying creamed spinach was very good and not gloppy like this dish can be. The side salad was ok but nothing special. The overall dining experience was very good. The waitstaff was efficient and friendly. This was the yang of Jeffrey's. Now the Yin, the atmosphere of Jeffrey's is very pretentious. When you are sitting to eat, it is like you are attending vespers at the local monastery. People speak in whispers. It is not decorated particularly well and the details that warrant this level of pretension are absent. One thing that irked me was the salt and pepper bowls with the wrong sized spoons. As a preliminary thought, I find this to be just silly. Particularly, when it comes to pepper. It is impossible to modestly season with salt or pepper when the spoon provided is too large! At a formal dinner salts can be an elegant touch (assuming the appropriate sized spoons are provided). But at a place without table cloths such an affectation is unnecessary. A steak house should have a fun vibe and not feel like a library. Particularly, in a town like Moab which seems to let its hair down. A word of advice to the owners: your food speaks for itself. Needless affectations and pretensions detract from the dining experience not add to it. A steakhouse should have a fun relaxed vibe not a stiff one.

My fiancée had the house rib eye and loved it, "it is the best steak I've ever had." Quite a compliment coming from an Iowa farm boy. The wine list is nice. Good range of styles and prices. The ridge 3 valleys 2011 zin was awesome with this and my lamb chops. The fresh mint was fantastic and grown on site Romantic and shady patio. The whole experience will have us back!

Our waitress Pam was attentive and helpful especially when it came to my children who are picky eaters and don't eat red meat. My mom and I were still able to enjoy the filet mignon cooked precisely to order while the kids had plain linguine with butter. Even my pickiest child loved the pasta and bread. A very nice meal for us all around. Another review commented on the spoon size for the salt and pepper. As my grandfather's restaurant refused to provide any ketchup at any time since he thought it was an adulteration of his cooking, perhaps the chef has the same sentiment. While obliged to provide those particular condiments, maybe it is the chef's comment that you shouldn't need salt. JMHO.

Just had dinner at Jeffrey's. The service was excellent. Our server Conan was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Alaskan cod special was very good. Loved how our server could tell us the name of the guy who fished and supplied the cod to the restaurant! The steaks were good, although my husband had to send his back because it was too rare. The creamed spinach is not to be missed. The mashed potatoes were excellent too. Nice cocktail list. I would definitely eat here again!

Great little cosy restaurant. The food was great. We had a New York steak, and it was delicious. Definitely a nice place to go if you are on a road trip and tired of having fat pizzas and burgers, or simply because you live around here, and you want to go to a good restaurant.

Overpriced for what it delivers. Unfortunately dining in Moab is sketchy at best, and perhaps within the context of this market, 2 stars is a little harsh, but in truth the Moab Brewery provided food that was at least 80% as good for less than 50% of the price. Jeffrey's is off the beaten path, has a nice outdoor eating area, and the room is nice.. But as noted in another review, our steaks weren't cooked as requested: My $42 New York ordered Very Rare came Medium Rare, and my wife's Wagyu 'Style' Ribeye ordered Medium Rare came Very Rare. Worse, it was far less tender than my (non Wagyu style) New York. The side dishes were extra, as is normal in a steak restaurant, but so were "preparations", such a "Blackened", "Béarnaise" or "Oscar Style". That struck me as a little rich when you're already paying $42 alone for just a steak. As for the sides, the steak fries were very good, the creamed spinach was oddly sweet. We didn't have appetizers, but we did have dessert, a "deconstructed" Apple crisp dish. My wife is a dessert lover, and thought it was poor enough to warrant sending back (and thankfully removed from the bill). Service was good, and our waitress was attentive and concerned that we enjoyed our meal. I had no issue with adding a 20% tip to our bill, despite a feeling that the meal wasn't a great value. Conclusion: Around $120 (pre tip) for dinner for two consisting of a $25 bottle of house red, no appetizers or desserts is indeed at or close to New York pricing (I lived there for 21 years). Another reviewer who implied that Jeffrey's offers comparable quality food to NY steakhouses clearly let's say, had a very different experience to us at Jeffrey's, or hasn't really experienced the better NY steakhouses. Within the Moab dining constellation Jeffrey's is a decent option but at a significantly premium price. In a more competitive restaurant scene they wouldn't survive without cutting their prices significantly.

If you're looking for a fantastic steak dinner in Moab look no further than Jeffrey's steakhouse. We had an excellent dinner up in the Ghost Bar which is their cozy upstairs loft. Had the petite filet which was cooked to perfection and sauteed local squash...delicious!

This was an amazing dinner. The place is small and just lovely. Call and make a reservation. The food was FANTASTIC! I had a chef's cut filet mignon. I added the mushrooms, side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. My kids had the bone in PorkChop. My husband had the 8oz filet. Our steaks were cooked perfect and the quality was superb. The pork could have had a tad more flavor but for my kids it was just fine. I absolutely recommend this fine restaurant. The staff is lovely. I want to go back tomorrow. Five stars+

Great service, loved the ambiance and the food was great. We sat on the patio, used Open Table for a last-minute reservation (this is the ONLY restaurant that uses Open Table in Moab) and they were very accommodating about getting us outdoors seating. The salmon was good, my husband ordered the filet mignon - it was delicious. Great Bloody Mary, very good wine list.

We just finished an excellent meal here in this charming place. Our appetites were not huge due to hiking in very hot weather all day. So we ordered small steaks. We asked in advance what their chef would call "medium." That way we knew what to expect and they delivered as described. My roasted beet salad was great...blue cheese, pine nuts, greens, beets, and a little onion topped with their own thicker than typical balsamic dressing. Sides, such as garlic mashed potatoes, etc., are extra $ but the servings are much bigger than usual and will easily feed two people. We chose to eat outside in the garden which added to our wonderful evening. Our water glasses were filled consistently and our server came by a couple more times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The price may have been a little higher than usual, but we felt it was worth it considering the quality of the food and service. And Jeffrey's atmosphere in the garden added to a fine dining experience. We would definitely return here if we visit Moab again. It was nice to dine in a very quiet setting off the main drag.

Reservations are not required but help. We were looking for a place to dine and was referred by another restaurant that was booked. The atmosphere was nice and the server was great. She really new her menu well. I had the steak and my friend had fish. Both meals were good. I think "gourmet" is a bit much for this spot but it is better than a chili's. AND I do like me some chilis :-). Ordered the bread pudding. It was a'ight!!!! I think it was pricey for the value but it wasn't bad.

I just had dinner here this past Saturday. It is a small place, very quaint and cozy. The owner seated us up in the ghost bar as our table was not quite ready. She made one of the best dirty martinis I have had. Not too dirty, not too neat! She checked on us a couple of times but was not overbearing. When our table was ready we were taken back downstairs and seated at a table near the front of the restaurant. We were hoping to sit outside but it was pretty busy on Saturday. Our server, Rae Lynn, was quite simply...Amazing. She knew everything about the menu, about how things were prepared and made several suggestions based on a quick chat she had with us while we ordered a second martini. She explained the differences in dry rub, what Wagyu Kobe beef was all about and offered some tips on the sides. The steaks were sooooo good!!! We had calamari as an appetizer (mouth watering and tasty) so we did not get any sides which was good because we were really full. I did get the "blackened" topping on my steak and it was very good. Not too spicy and very flavorful. I ordered my steak rare and indeed it was....my partner ordered medium rare and his was also perfect. I made my reservation through Opentable and indicated it was our 12 year anniversary. At desert time Rae Lynn congratulated us and asked us if we wanted desert. We were too full at that point! I would definitely come back to Jeffery's. On a side note, we were seated next to a large party of 8 or 9....turned out to be Michael J Fox and his family!!

I was absolutely blown away by our dinner at Jeffrey's on Sunday evening. We chose to sit outside on the beautiful patio even though it was a warm evening and it proved to be good choice. We enjoyed the gardens and an electric fan early in the evening, then live music and lights as the sun went down. The service was exceptional, both from our server (Pam) and the rest of the staff - very professional, very well trained and still very welcoming and comfortable. And the food, Oh My Goodness, the food. My wife and I ordered quite a bit so as to taste our way through the menu - salads, appetizers, soup and steaks were all supurb. This steak was the best I have had in recent memories, and I make it a point to visit the best steakhouses when I travel. I cannot recommend the restaurant enough for a celebration or just a nice meal in Moab. Definitely 5 stars all the way around.

I would say the ambiance and the friendly nature of all the staff members with whom we came in contact earns 5 stars. I felt the downstairs was a bit cramped, but the lounge upstairs and the patio were divine. I loved the fountain, lights, plants, and music. The food was probably 3, I got the beet salad and a special order of chicken piccata. It was like german chicken schnitzel with a chicken broth based sauce, it seemed to be missing the lemon and capers. While I appreciated them making this special order for me, it definitely wasn't the best piccata I've ever had, not even close. It would have been much better with a different sauce and angel hair (instead of linguine) pasta. My sister's salad was huge and she said the steak was amazing. My beet salad was pretty good, minus the huge chunks of onions. I just wish the food had a little bit more finesse. Maybe other items on the menu do, but the three things we had tonight did not--for instance, pieces of the salad should have been cut smaller and the ingredients of the piccata should not have been missing. I would definitely return but would probably order a different entree. Again, I can not emphasize enough how nice the staff was.

Favorite dining experience while in Moab. The place gets crowded so make reservations if you can. Simply put, this is a fantastic steakhouse with a great homey atmosphere. You literally feel as if you are eating at your best friends house. The décor is fantastic, the inside is comfy, but even better is the outdoor patio with a great shaded tree and twinkling lights. The staff were very friendly and informative. I loved how they kept referring to Jeffrey and his wife Lauren. Jeffrey is cooking up the dishes, and his wife Lauren does the desserts and the interior decorating. The food was superb. They try to use local products and their meat is done in the Wagyu style (the American version of Kobe..in which they massage the cows and pamper them). Each steak comes with a green salad and for an additional price you can add an accompaniment to the steak like caramelised onions or Oscar style. They also offer side dishes which are large enough to share between two people. The meat was fantastic, and the shoestring French fries were crisp and yummy. The dessert was heavenly. The flourless chocolate cake was to die for. They had quite an extensive wine list and imported beer from around the world. They also had several mixed drinks to choose from, probably because there is a full bar on the 2nd floor of the house. We spent several hours here until they closed, as we lost track of time because the atmosphere and staff were so enjoyable.

Went here for dinner. I'd recommend calling in a reservation due to limited seating. I thought they were friendly. The food was delicious but pricey. Some of my party weren't fans about the ala carte menu when you're paying that price. We tried the chicken fried steak, broiled chicken breast, dry aged steak, and the filet mignon. All were really really good. Great rolls! Well timed service. Nice wine list.

We were at Jeffrey's in early April 2015. The steak I had was really delicious and cooked just as I ordered. I wish that they sold their steak rub as I'd rate it, if not the best, one of the best.

Very romantic place with nice outdoor patio and comfy lounge upstairs. We started in the lounge with cocktails made by Lauren, Jeffrey's wife. For dinner we shared the bone in rib eye for two and were able to bring the bone home for our pooch to enjoy as well. I caved on dessert, as if a mere suggestion doesn't always convince me, and we shared the bread pudding. This was our fancy night out and it was great.

What an amazing evening. We started with champagne in their Ghost Bar which offers a quaint atmosphere with great drinks and background music. The service was fantastic and the steak, the filet, was wonderful. We come to Moab often and this is by far our favorite spot to enjoy a romantic quiet evening and amazing meal.

Best food, service, ambience, and "Ghost Bar" in Moab! How this amazing restaurant is in Utah and not California or New York is beyond me. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Sat outside in a lovely patio area (late June of this year) though the hot sun shown brightly in our eyes. Service was slow to arrive at the table but fine after orders were taken. Food arrived prepared as we had ordered. Appetizers and sides were ample and we enjoyed them as much if not more than the steaks we ordered. But we thought the grill options at Buck's Grill House in Moab were tastier.

Finest food I found during my stay in Moab. Service was superb, thanks Stormy! Best steak I have had in a really long time. Definitely go, but make a reservation, it is intimate.

We we were looking forward to our recent dinner reservations at Jeffreys after a long day of mountain biking in Moab. When we arrived for our reservation we found the hostess to be apathetic;she acted like she was doing some kind of a favor something or like she just wanted to go home. Once we receive it we were completely ignored by the way people it's as if we were invisible. The waitress was so busy carrying on one conversations with her local friends that she was ignoring all the other tables. I had to call her name to get her attention say could we please have some service please!she was very unfriendly uncommunicative it again apathetic.I was given hostile blurs the whole evening but her we finally received our dinner which took 30 minutes the steak was very average service was very average everything was very I return I wouldn't bother going there again... The experience there was absolutely unacceptable for the amount of money that we had to spend to get a really average steak in the worst service of my life!

The steaks were good, but the salads were marginal and the asparagus was over-cooked. Over priced.

Delicious steak dinner on our anniversary. The service was wonderful and we had a delightful evening. We had the smaller wagyu steaks and they were cooked to our liking, medium rare, and very tender and flavorful. Salad was crisp and good and garlic mashed to share were good.

  • Michele S.

One of the best steaks I've ever had (I've eaten at New York's and LA's finest steak houses); and they offer reasonable portions as an alternative to the typical steakhouse cut. I chose the 8 oz NY Strip and it was perfect. My friends said the Filet and the Rib Eye were equally amazing. They have their own greenhouse and sold me, against my better judgment on a beefsteak tomato caprese salad -- insanely flavorful tomatoes! The baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, grilled zucchini and creamed spinach were all to die for. (I was with a group -- this wasn't all for me ;o) Extensive wine list and even our group of winos was ecstatic over the ones we chose. Service was fabulous -- our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and handled our rowdy group of 7 chicks with grace and ease. (Sorry, other couple in the restaurant trying to have a romantic dinner!) Be sure to make a reservation -- this is not a large restaurant.

Outstanding. We took the Yelp reviews and ventured to Jeffrey's. A perfect decision. The servers were very friendly, yet respectful of your privacy and time. I had the Rib eye steak with sautéed mushrooms. Perfectly cooked medium rare and could cut with a fork. My wife had the salmon filet that was huge for normal standards but moist and favorable. Follow that with a bread pudding that had just the right amount of brandy sauce. I can not imagine a finer dining experience. Jeffrey's is located in a little house that provides the wonderful aura while Frank Sinatra sings his heart out giving the proper ambiance for a delightful dining experience. A perfect night.

The food was exceptional, and the service was impeccable. A little on the high end in Moab, but well worth it. Thank you Kayce for the wonderful evening! Don't miss the opportunity to have dessert and a drink upstairs in the intimate Ghost Bar.

  • Rich S.

Steak was pretty good. So was the calamari appetizer although the dipping sauce was a little heavy. The skinny fries would have been better without the balsamic glaze. They offer dry aged steaks too but were out. Also out of lamb. Service had a little attitude. Had a "new old fashioned" from the specialty cocktail list (very good). All in all, would go back when in Moab for the steak.

    (3)
  • Laura S.

I'll start by saying the steak was great, but everything else was sub par. I also had issues with the service, which seemed well intentioned but really missed the mark. I was a solo diner, on arriving the hostess made the comment "you don't have anyone to dine with, oh no! that's so sad". I dine solo all the time and have never had a comment made me feel like it was an issue. Maybe locals get a different experience. If you are a tourist, I'd recommend desert bistro which was 5 star all the way, or go to the Moab diner.

    (2)
  • Peter C.

This is clearly the best restaurant in Moab (sorry, Desert Bistro). Everything is pretty traditional steakhouse fare, but done exceptionally well. I had the NY strip, cooked perfectly mid-rare and super tender and luxurious (all dry-aged Nebraska American Wagyu beef apparently). Greens for the salad were super fresh and delish. Dessert was to die for. Service was high class all the way.

This place is so romantic, go for dinner and sit out side. Steaks were so juicy. Pam our waitress was the sweetest. My fiancé RSVP in door sitting but I wanted to be out door so the staff worked the entire meal to get us out door right before the main course! My fiancé hands down ate all the skinny fries by himself because it was that good. Try the escargot, omg I wanted 20 more of those. I think they should go easy on the butter though.

Nice quiet atmosphere, upscale casual . off the beaten path. Great wine and beer selection. Fresh local produce. Fantastic in every way. I had the salmon piccata it was excellent.

We are from the big city (ha! Denver...) and don't have very high expectations about fine dining in small towns like Moab. But, we were blown away by Jeffrey's! The hostess (who may have been the chef's wife, not sure) was very pretty, professional, refined and nice. She gave us a table outside on the patio. It was beautiful, clean, romantic and the tables weren't too close together. The food was excellent! We had a escargot and mushroom appetizer that was delicious. All of their steaks come from local grass-fed cows and are prepared Wagu style. My boyfriend had the NY Strip served Oscar style and it was one of the best steaks of his life (and he is one of the biggest foodies I have ever met and an incredible chef himself). I had salmon picatta. While it may have been a tad overcooked, it was still delicious. The wines were excellent and paired well with our meals. The dessert (home-made bread pudding) was incredible! This was by far our best meal in Moab! We will make it a point to go back to Jeffrey's any time we are in town.

Wanna-be chic restaurant. The steak is pretty good, but unfortunately wrongly prepared. I think it was just pan grilled instead of oven baked, like a real wagyu steak. But I guess that is just wagyu style. The prices are way to high for the service. First off the seating is unfortunate with a temperature drop whenever the door opens. But this only effects the front tables in this very small restaurant. No butter knife for the rolls, the steak was ordered medium and brought as rare. After complaining it was recooked to barely medium, but the side (baked potato) was cold when the steak came back. The appetizer was never delivered, although ordered. I've eaten better steak for half the price and received better service for this price. It seems like they are trying to be a chic restaurant but fail at simple things-like coat hangers, butter knife, napkins, bottles on the table, wine bottle for selection,.... This may all sound nickpickin' , but for a restaurant that attempts to by chic with its service and price, they have some more way to go. I recommend going somewhere else in Moab.

Jeffrey's has a nice ambiance and a great patio to eat outside but the service was lacking in quality. For the prices I would expect better service. Not that it was horrible but it didn't meet the standards for the price. The food was good..nit outstanding either. I had the filet which was cooked a little more than I ordered....but I want mine rare..bleeding. But I figured a "steakhouse" knows how to cook a steak. Not so. Bottom line...food is good but a little pricey.

Very friendly hostess, table was ready per reservation. Sat outdoors, wonderful SW ambiance. They have outdoor heaters so the 55 nighttime temp was no problem. Server (Mathew) was timely and attentive. Appetizers: non traditional escargot - excellent Warm olives and almonds, tasty spices, would order again. Main course: Ribeye med rare...the way it should be Lamb chops...no sauces, just great grilled lamb chop. Beet salad and the spinach salad were excellent All topped off with NY cheesecake . If they had Jeffrey's in Seattle I would be a regular

I arrived in Moab from Colorado rather late in the day and this restaurant was a recommendation from my lodging manager. It turned out to be a great recommendation and a very nice small restaurant, just the way I like them. I had the Wagyu beef which was very good. I got in without a reservation but was advised it is a good idea to make one.

We had dinner at Jeffery's Steakhouse the last night we were in Moab. It was wonderful with a capital "W"! The food from the appetizers through the main course and desert were absolutely terrific. And our server was outstanding. We have travelled far and wide in this world we live in and frankly Jeffery's has been one of our finest dining experiences. This was a wonderful surprise to find a restaurant of this caliber in the Moab. Thank you Jeffery's!

A delightful evening meal in the garden! We came here for dinner yesterday and did not have reservations. Jeffrey's gladly accommodated us though, seating us in their outdoor garden. It was a very nice, warm evening that was perfect. We even had a visitor in the garden - we aren't sure if he/she is a neighborhood cat or the restaurant's, but this very polite orange tabby cat meandered under the tables and did not beg or jump up. He was a welcome entertainer. We had the special pork belly appetizer with salsa that was fairly good to start out with, as well as the local Riesling and their Love Potion cocktail which were both wonderful. My husband ordered the 8oz New Tork strip steak, medium rare, with a salad, side of zucchini, and the garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and his sides were very yummy. I had the salmon piccata which I truly enjoyed, although the piccata sauce was slightly more tart than I like. The carrots were a wonderful addition to the plate. My side was the wild mushroom rice which I liked a lot, but unfortunately on occasion, I had bites where the rice was undercooked and sometimes crunchy - great flavor though. We found their dinner rolls to be very good as well. We ventured to get take-home dessert, my husband had the tiramisu which he said was very good, and I had the apple cobbler which was ok, the waitress warned me the ice cream would melt. Pretty good food over all. My big beef with Jeffrey's, although we really enjoyed our evening was agonizingly slow service. I've been to Europe and I understand the laid back pace of some restaurants, but we waited quite a while to order and receive at every step of our experience, and had a long wait for the check too. If this had been a slower pace that had left room for us to enjoy the evening but we felt things were progressing along, sure that's fine - I like that. The service we received just left too many long gaps in between where we were left waiting for more than 15 minutes - and when that happens at every step of the meal, by the end of the evening that 15+ minutes feels like an eternity. So, for the long gaps between service and the uncooked rice I am leaving off a star. I would really love to give Jeffrey's that fifth star but there are issues to work out here, and that star needs to be earned.

We had a wonderful dinner at Jeffrey's. We were seated outside when it began to rain. The hostess brought us upstairs to the very cozy Ghost bar and seated the 6 of us to wait for the rain to end. But instead, we were served a delicious and perfect dinner in the Ghost bar. All of the food was excellent as was the service and attitude of the entire staff. We were thoroughly impressed and would recommend this restaurant to everyone who enjoys delicious food.

We found this place off of the main road. We were very pleased with the warm and cozy ambiance. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about how the menu items were sourced ABD made great dessert recommendations. We both had the ribeye, which was full of rich flavor and cooked perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed the homemade bread. The salad was made if locally gown vegetables and it was delicious. The cheesecake and chocolate wedge were decadent and creamy delicious. This restaurant is a MUT eat at if you're in Moab!

My husband and I had a great experience here. Zacharia got us a reservation on Saturday night, which we were very pleased about. He ended up being our server and he was very friendly and helpful, especially because we can't eat dairy. He offered suggestions and had the chef prepare things differently to accommodate us. My hubby had the NY strip and I had the rib eye. Both excellent cuts with fine flavor. We each had wine with dinner, per Zacharia's recommendation and they paired perfectly. We both ordered dirty martinis before the meal, which I would caution against, mostly because Utah isn't the state in which to get a premium cocktail. They were very heavy on the olive juice. In many places, I'd take a star off for this, but considering everything else and the fact that it's Utah and I should've known better, I'll look the other way. Overall, the experience was excellent. Food and service was perfect. The ambiance was cozy: a little home turned restaurant. The best in Moab, to be sure.

Charming restaurant run by locals who know how to make a cocktail and serve a steak. Located off the main drag in an old house. Upstairs Ghost Bar is a great place to start with a drink. Lauren, one of the owners, makes a perfect martini. Jeff always selects terrific steaks and cooks them precisely as ordered. Lovely patio in the summer. Reason alone to come to Moab!

Much ado about nothing! We had one night in Moab, UT, relied on Yelp reviews so it went to the top of our list . . . unfortunately. This is not a steak house. Without salt and pepper, their wagyu ribeye was absolutely tasteless. $6.00 asparagus cut lengthwise to make it appear as though you are getting 10 gems when, in reality you're paying for 5. House salad was wilted and warm. Wine was short-poured. $120 later, we wish we had never found this restaurant. We travel extensively and consider ourselves quite foodies so please take our advice. If you want to just have drinks in the bar, it is explained that since they're a restaurant, you MUST order appetizers or dessert, unless you are dining in the restaurant. By far, Outback Steakhouse is 10 times better!

Servers are outstanding, food is very very good. Had a 10 oz NY steak and really enjoyed it, my wife had the Salmon and felt the same way. Check out the Ghost bar upstairs. My wife and I shared a "Something Apple" for dessert and it was amazing. The server offered to serve it to us upstairs in the Ghost bar which according to legend has a ghost named Mollie who died in the home in the 1800's. I didn't see Mollie, but I did enjoy the ambience of the Ghost bar. Place is on the expensive side but we both left very satisfied and glad we tried them out.

Shout out to Pam for being the best server! Super sweet and friendly, and she pointed us in the direction of the most beautiful hike for the following morning. Food was delicious, with steak cooked to perfection and the creamiest mashed potatoes. Even the tiramisu dessert was to die for. They have an impressive wine selection, and the restaurant is small enough that you're sure Jeffrey is lovingly preparing every dish himself. If you're in Moab for an evening and looking for a higher end experience, Jeffrey's is the place to be.

We tried this steak house because our hotel recommended it. We had a terrible waitress that barely took care of us. We had to ask for bread, butter, and water refill. We were the only ones in the dining room as we arrived at 9:00. They are open till ten. Our waitress was no where to be seen except to serve the appetizer the salads and then the steaks. Service was terrible. The steaks were ok. The filet was a bit tough.so was the rib eye. The New York was good. But at that price they should be great. And should come with veggies. They do not. I asked if they were aged steaks and the staff gave me an answer that seemed like she was making up. Avoid this place.

First of all, ladies and gentlemen, it's Jeffrey's (not JeffERY's Steak House) and the pleasure of dining here comes at a reasonable (albeit premium price) but at the end of our stay, Jeffrey's is, hands down, THE premiere dining experience in Moab, if not in all of Utah... A crown jewel. Exceptional service, presentation, atmosphere, and (above all) cuisine -- and believe me, in a quaint town with spectacular natural wonders, adrenaline-packed activities and plenty of restaurants jammed onto a small strip of road... many are decent but all are most definitely serving food while Jeffrey's is serving cuisine. They humbly, discretely operate on a higher level here. Tucked away inside a stylishly cozy house just off the main drag, Jeffrey's serves some of the best steak I've ever had, and I've had steaks in five star restaurants all over the world. They accompany these beautiful cuts of beef with some of the freshest, most deliciously prepared sides I've ever had. They are as devoted to savory vegetable creations as they are to using Idaho Wagyu beef (and it's all Wagyu). That touch speaks volumes. Their desert (try the bread pudding) and wine selections match to perfectly complete the experience, and their sommelier was a pleasure to talk wine with. Whether you're in Moab or not, find a reason to dine at Jeffrey's. You'll be very happy you did.

Mid-June, 2011: Petite filet mignon, medium rare; house salad; baked potato; water. I arrived about 5:45 pm on a Tuesday, and there was only one other customer. However, I see at least one table reserved so I suspect that there will be more customers later in the evening. Nice ambience. This restaurant is in small, older house. Later: The steak was delicious - tender, cooked perfectly. I think I ended up eating desert there, too, but don't remember what it was except that it was good. Other than a hostess who seemed rather detached, the rest of the staff was efficient and helpful. Yes, I would return.

Brought my parents here to make up for a botched steak dinner last year. We were hoping that Jeffreys could erase a bad memory, and we were not disappointed!! Be prepared for top-end steakhouse prices, but it was worth it. Three of our four orders were filets, and one new york strip, all of them ordered at different temperatures from medium rare all the way to well done for one of them, and they all arrived correct and at the same time. We tried the mashed potatoes, the spinach, and the beans for sides. The potatoes lacked some flavor, but the greens were fantastic.. the creamed spinach served with beautiful whole leaves and the beans still retained a little crispness and all of their lovely beany taste. The service was super friendly, the ambience was comfortably fancy without being pretentious, and the outdoor patio is beautiful. Thank you Jeffereys!

Okay folks - here is the skinny on this place. I had to leave Moab early and this was my last night out. Thinking "Dinner" I turned to my friends at yelp.com You did not disappoint me and neither did Jeffrey. Seriously. 5 stars is a tough one to earn in my book but here's how it went and why you should go there and what you should order: We arrived at 6ish and were greeted pleasantly and seated immediately outside- We ordered drinks and Gere brought an amazing Smoky Martini for my SO and I had a Stella. Ambiance A+ - sun setting in Moab- off to a good start. Salad came before the entrees and I can't tell you how please I was with a basic house salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The tomatos were real and you could immediately see the care the chef puts into the smallest details. Hope is getting very strong with me by now. I ordered the grass-fed-in-Idaho Kobe tenderloin. Beef is a tough one for me as I really am not that much of a fan having been spoiled by free roaming happy buffalo. But this was amazing. Everything a happy dead cow should be. Super tender and cooked medium rare to perfection. Just really flavourfuI. The mushrooms that accompanied them were certainly in some sort of a wine reduction that was divine. The mushrooms were still tender and not mushy at all. Large piece as well, you could tell this guy takes the time and doesn't cut corners. The mashed potatoes completely complemented the mushrooms,. We also ordered a side of brussel sprouts, Now check this: Brussel Sprouts are the ONLY vegetable I am not fond of. Mushy and icky. But these were fresh and crisp and of course the bacon they were cooked in never hurts anything. But for me to say the chef made something I really don't care for into something I would go back for is quite a compliment. I may come to believe that brussel sprouts may need to be elevated into a rank higher than lowly boring vegetable side dish! The bread pudding was AMAZING! The best I have ever had and definitely worth saving room for. I had to restrain myself from licking the bowl it came in and had I had another Smoky Martini I would have done so without shame. I will always be a fan of GREAT FOOD done simply. No gimmicks, made fresh and served with utmost care. Kudos chef and crew at Jeffrey's!

This is possibly the best steak I have ever had. In fact, the food here was so good that we asked them to cater our wedding. Jeffrey did an awesome job catering and the guests all loved the food. All of the guests, even the ones from Texas agreed, that this was the best steak they had ever had. Whether for an intimate dinner or a large event you can't go wrong with Jeffrey's.

Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Moab. I will be eating at Jeffrey's for all of my special nights out. We just spend out 10th anniversary there and it was superb. Service was amazing (ask for Bridget), steak was the best I have ever had. Save room for the desert menu. You will not be disappointed in Jeffrey's. This is as good as it gets anywhere!

My first trip to Moab .... went here on a recommendation of a guide. Probably the worst service I have had at a high end restaurant in years. We waited a good hour before we were served bread. Then another hour before food. They served locals over tourists. I heard a guest say ..... "we are locals".... expecting to be treated differently and they were. The meal was very expensive. The food was good, the service disappointing. For a $200.00 meal I would expect more.

October 13, 2011: After dilly dallying in the hot tub, we arrived at 7:30 pm without reservations, on a Thursday, to a packed house. The Maitre d' was charming and apologetic that they could not fit our party of three until 9:30 pm. We asked if we could get food in the Ghost Bar and the response was a smiling YES! A hidden delight,at the top of the stair, our own private lounge in the attic. We sprawled on couches and rested our tired feet on footstools. Feasting began with Ghost Bar Martinis (spookaliscious) and calamari (crisp and tender). It continued with chef's cut filet (med. rare tasty), green beans (snap), mashers, and mushrooms (mom ma!); all elevated by a wonderful bottle of wine from the outstanding wine list.; feasting concluded with fortified coffees and bread pudding. Did I mention the mushrooms? impeccable service? lovely presentation? tasty food? Attention to detail in all aspects of our meal, Our waitress was attentive but not obtrusive. A lovely evening!

I was expecting a great steak meal. W e have been sitting here for almost three hours although the steak was OK the other dishes were cold and stale. We would never come back. If you are looking for a place to eat, just go to Peace Tree. Jeffries, consider this a wake up call. What a waste of money. Brussel sprouts, fries, pasta, YUK.

Just stopped in to get a drink and catch up with some friends that are locals. There is a great little area upstairs with comfortable seating and nice decor. I was stuffed from a dinner at the Brewery, but still had my mouth water with the smells coming from the kitchen. I did snitch a calamari from my friend and it was amazing. I wish I could review the food, but if everything else I saw was any indication this place is a winner. I will be back for a big bloody steak!

Moab's fanciest and very expensive. Dreadful. Out of a common Chardonnay. Took the server forever to offer bread, which turned out to be stale. Calamari appetizer had absolutely no taste. Dinner salad as common as dishwater. The New York steak for $29 was as big as my belly button, tasteless and tough. Welcome to Western US "cuisine". Stick with Denny's.

Their steaks are high quality, of a special cattle breed (Wagyu) that are raised in Idaho. I had dinner with my brother, and we both ordered "medium" steaks (filet mignon actually), and they were cooked perfectly- very juicy, tender and flavorful. Additionally, we inquired about a fried zucchini appetizer, and asked the waitress if they could be prepared sauteed in olive oil, instead of fried. After a quick consult with the chef, she said that it would be no problem to prepare the zucchini to our liking, which was delicious as well. Overall, we thought that the food was excellent, and our server was attentive and great too. This was the best steak that I've ever had, easily surpassing steak that I've had at high-end steakhouses in my home city of Denver, CO.

My salmon was perfectly cooked, the atmosphere was intimate and quiet, our server was perfect....but the prices are crazy-expensive for a meat-and-potatoes restaurant. My husband got a piece of meat on a plate with nothing else...no sauce, no garnishes. If you want the art that you would expect with a high-end restaurant, I suggest you go across the street.

Four stars for the food, five for the service, five for the bread pudding. We went for dinner with an 18-month-old baby in tow. I had the small strip steak (bigger than expected) and my husband had the ribeye. Steaks come with just a salad to start (very nice and flavorful mix of greens with some slices of mushroom, tomato, a couple carrot sticks and croutons - nothing special, but good) so you need to order sides separately or get one of the steak "additions" - I got the "Oscar", consisting of crab meat, 4-5 asparagus, and bearnaise sauce. My husband ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and a half order of creamed spinach and we ordered a half rice pilaf for our son. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious. I was disappointed with the amount of the crab and sauce in the "Oscar" - it was a spoonful about the size of a half a small egg, not really a suitable portion for my steak. However, the flavor was terrific. I think I detected a little vermouth in the bearnaise, which was delicious. A larger portion of the sauce would be more appropriate, in my opinion, so it could really be enjoyed with the whole steak. The rice pilaf was more just a buttered rice, a little bland but our son liked it. This restaurant seems to have a bit of identity crisis - on one hand it is a bit uppity (salt and pepper served in little dishes with a tiny spoon?), on the other hand, sides are served "family style". It's an odd mix but the food was good. We shared an order of their bread pudding for dessert, and WOW was that good! Aside from all that, service was absolutely wonderful. It is always a struggle to have a nice meal out with a toddler, and we are often rushed and made to feel like we are a hassle, even when our son is behaving well. This experience was totally different. Everyone at Jeffrey's handled our little one so well and treated us so nicely, that we actually were able to relax and enjoy our meal. Class act!

We had one night out in Moab and chose Jeffrey's. We had a wonderful dinner, excellent service (Thanks Tricia) and delicious food and wine. We sat inside where the atmosphere is intimate and cozy. A delightful evening.

So after my first night in Moab, I thought there was no hope of an amazing meal. But, the amazing meal was across from my hotel tucked away in a corner. I had the chicken which was so flavorful, a tasty baked potato and a beautiful tomato/mozarella salad. The cheesecake is amazing - NYC quality. The wine selection was also great. This place is definitely not cheap, but for you free spending foodies it's a must.

Jeffrey's is located in a quiet neighborhood just off the main drag of Moab in a beautifully restored older home. The restaurant was full the night we ate there. Our waiter was attentive and efficient and there at the right times....not more. What I'd really like to focus on though is the attention to the food and wine. Jeffrey's advertises its fine steak offerings. We ordered filet and rib eye steaks which were excellent and prepared to the exact doneness requested. Both our wine choices, a sauvignon blanc and pinot noir (ordered by the glass) both from California, were obviously carefully selected offerings. In too many cases steak houses focus on the steak and wine but neglect the rest. However in the case of Jeffrey's the details were not forgotten. We all had the house salad which was included with the main entrée. These were fresh and of high quality greens. We also ordered sides to be shared of creamed spinach, sautéed zucchini and garlic mashed potatoes. All 3 were of high quality ingredients, freshly prepared and frankly good enough to stand on their own. Our waiter explained that many of the greens are locally sourced even in winter, from a local grower. Jeffrey's is no doubt a gem of a restaurant but their attention to the quality of their food is as good as I've experienced.

After a long motorcycle ride, we were looking for a good steak place and asked the locals for some recommendations. A few folks pointed out Frankie D's or Buck's Steakhouse...but as we walked around, we stumbled on this place and the outside looked decent so we decided to give it a shot. Once we got inside, it was nice and air-conditioned, with a dark but classy interior. We ordered two 14oz New York steaks, with a baked potato and steamed carrots as side dishes. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare, and had excellent flavor. The potato had sea salt on the outside, so it was great to eat the skin. The carrots were seasoned well and slightly crunchy, which was good. After noting how good the food was, we ordered the "chocolate wedge" which was probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was basically a slightly frozen, fudge-like, flour-less cake that melted in your mouth. Amazing dessert, I wanted more of that, but was too full. This place will be on the list for a re-visit if I'm ever in Moab again!

Ok...I eat steak on a somewhat consistent basis and let me tell you that this is one AWESOME steak. I don;t know anything about this wagyu beef, but it is tender, moist, and above all not too fatty. WOW! The atmosphere was wonderful...all the way from the hostess who greeted promptly as well as helped serve us since we sat near the entrance. All the staff was completely attentive to us and it was a wonderful experience. We did get the fried zuchinni and we both though it was great...compared to zuchinni that we have had in the finer italian restaurants. The sides were interesting...I had the skinny fries drizzled with balsamic sauce...they were tasty. They went well with the steak. This is a pricey place, but WELL WORTH THE $$. I am so glad we found this place...you have to try it,

the atmosphere was wonderful, we ate outside. the service was great. best thing on the menu: their fried zucchini appetizer. it was incredible. lightly battered, not greasy at all. also worth mentioning: their wedge salad and mashed potatoes. would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. we were on vacation in moab for 4 days and ate at multiple restaurants, this one by far being the best.
