My husband and I had a day in Midway planned, and after soaking in the crater at Homestead we decided we were hungry and wanted something light. In that regard it was both a mistake and a blessing that we walked on over to Fanny's, because our lunch was certainly not light, but it was beyond amazing! We both got the home made lemonade, because who can turn down a delicious glass of lemonade with free refills?! Then he ordered the turkey club with chicken noodle soup, and I got the house-smoked barbecue plate. Really, the portions were enormous, and we should have just split the barbecue plate, because it was the best pulled pork I have had in a very long time-- and I'm originally from the south! The club was decent, but not as good as the barbecue, and I really loved the chicken noodle soup (so much that I stole it after he let me try a bite). Then we finished it off with their Lava Flow dessert, which is really the thickest, creamiest, richest, most delicious hot chocolate ever. Service was friendly and helpful, and prices were very reasonable. "Light," no. Amazing and unforgettable, definitely!

Came to visit the Homestead as part of a family vacation - seeing the old stomping grounds of older relatives. We were warned in advance "the food is just terrible, and the coffee is the worst you've ever had" but that it was right on a pond and our son could feed the ducks. Well, it wasn't ALL bad. The fries were large and a little soft but well seasoned; my husband loved his hamburger (which came with some of the best bacon ever); and my son's grilled cheese was huge and tasty. But then there was my sandwich: the zucchini "melt"...easily the most bizarre sandwich ever. Made with the restaurant's house-made "potted bread" ( a cross between brioche and croissant, baked in a clay pot), it had layers of fried zucchini, fresh avocado, weepy lettuce, lovely tomato, barely-melted cheese (listed as cheddar - I don't think so) and a DELUGE of what they called tomato basil aioli. Look kids, aioli is thick like mayo. This was thin like salad dressing, and it was pervasive. The sandwich was too chunky to eat in hand, so I picked it apart with a fork, eating the most appetizing parts and wondering what Rod Serling would have had to say about the dish. It was served with a mystery slaw, the mystery being what veggies they actually used. Never did try the worst-ever coffee, but the iced tea was decent. Service was slow but polite and they gave us a slice of bread to feed to the one remaining duck in the pond.

Stooped for breakfast with my grandma. Short wait for a table. Waited 15-20 minutes just to place our order. Another 15 min wait and we got our food. Her omelet was dry. I ordered the corned beef and hash. The eggs and potatoes were good but the beef looked like cubed ham and was over cooked. Didn't bother making an issue of it because we didn't want to wait another 15 min. 15 min to pay the bill. Don't come here for breakfast!

Terrible service. Love Homestead - They are GREAT! Especially Jan Zite in group sales is PHENOMENAL but Fanny's has awful service... I am here currently and there is absolutely no one here in the restaurant and only 2 people on the patio. However, it took 15 minutes to even have a waiter approach us. They passed us 15 times but no "hello" or "I will be right with you." NOTHING So we ordered...My coworker got the wrong burger brought to her TWICE. We have been sitting here with an empty carafe of water and I'm still waiting for my food for the first time and my co-worker is waiting for her food to come out for the 3rd time... There really isn't anywhere else to eat here...So that's how they get away with bad service. Homestead: Kick Fanny's out or infiltrate...

Inedible food: carelessly prepared, zero seasoning, greasy/soggy fries. When I politely commented on the quality of food for the meals we had prepared for our party of 10, I got nothing but a blank stare. This place is a complete dump.

Visited this place after some offroading nearby. Started with sweet potato blue cheese fries - these were a great mouth watering app. Huge country fried steak. Good portions, good prices, great ambience and location. Will definitely come back if we are in town!

Ordered filet mignon, medium, and it came out mooing. They took it back and cooked it longer. Not too much longer because there was blood all over my plate. Also, portions are small for the amount of money paid. My husband was still hungry and had to go to Beto's later that night.

We ate here only one time while we were at the resort. Both my husband and I had the Eggs Benedict. It was pretty good and the service was friendly and quick!

I can only add the second star because the food was mostly decent. We went here for Mother's Day, and we will NEVER be back! From arrival to departure was 2 hours and 15 minutes. I was so hungry by the time the food arrived, I wolfed it down in less than 15. We were a larger group (22) with a reservation. After we were seated it took literally 20+ minutes for ANY waitstaff to approach us. We gave beverage orders and were assured that our food orders would be taken shortly. It was another 5 to 10 minutes before we got our drinks, and half of them were wrong. How hard is it to serve coffee and juice? It was at least an additional 5 minutes (we'd been there over 30 minutes at this point) before the waitress came back and announced that her name was Heather and she'd be the one taking care of us. At this point I just had to settle in for the long haul because there were 22 of us and ONE waitress! On top of that she had a real attitude! We had to wait almost 40 minutes more for our food to show up. One of our tables (we took up 3) received their food 20 minutes before the rest of us. When one of my cousins went to ask why, the waitress nearly bit her head off! She actually snapped at her like she had no right to be asking what was taking so long. After she finally served us, she started making excuses, not apologies. She blamed it on the kitchen and their outside bakery service. As I said at the beginning, the food was mostly decent. My home fries were warm, but hard - like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite awhile. I don't think it was the kitchen's fault. My husband walked through the dining room to the restrooms during the interminable wait and said that it looked like most of the waitstaff were just plain lost and acting like it was their first day. He used to be a restaurant manager, so I trust his assessment. I've had very few dining experiences where I would say this, but Heather needs to find another line of work. I also think Fanny's needs to get some better (more organized) staff overall.

Located inside the Homestead Resort. Outdoor tables are open during the summer, next to a pond and the golf course. Indoor tables have nice views through large windows. Very clean, nice for the family or a date. Friendly staff. Mostly American standards, burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips, salads, and specials. The food is above average, and you shouldn't walk away hungry if you can finish your plate. And large parking with easy access if you towing anything.

Fanny's Grill is located inside the Homestead Resort. We came here for breakfast and lunch on the same day. Outdoor and indoor seating is available, both provide a pretty view of the golf course. The food is delicious, mostly American standards, and reasonably priced. You can charge to the room or just pay directly if you're not staying at the resort. The wait staff was nice and attentive, constantly refilling glasses and making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was also very clean. There is an elevator for handicap accessibility.

Great home style cooking. I've eaten here a number of times and always been satisfied. From meatloaf to rolls to pancakes the food is made from scratch and good! Service is good. You really can't go wrong eating here!
