Our 2nd visit to this place since it opened in late 2012. Service is top notch, very friendly, very warm, always being checked on and attended to is what we like. Now for the food, the cuts of meat are always great and loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. I realize this place isn't like a Fleming's or Ruth Chris and probably shouldn't be compared to one. This place has its uniqueness to have it stand in its own place. That being said I think this place does great with their large variety of different selections. Will for sure go back!

Wow.... I never thought I'd write this about a longhorns, but dang that bone in rib eye was the best I've had in a long time. This branch is unique. I've had poor quality in Tampa, etc... I've been told this Rib eye was from the same source as Ruth Chris and I believe it. Great people, wonderful service, and high quality food. If you're traveling like me and want a steak to remember, then you can't go wrong here. I found myself knawing on the bone, it was that good!!! Just done to a perfect medium with the right amount of char.. I could keep going but I'll stop there...

I came here in large group to celebrate a friend's birthday. We made reservations so we were promptly seated. I did not go for steaks tonight but chose Parmesan Crusted Chicken, because it sounded delicious and the waitress was like, oh that chicken is good (plus I've had too much red meat in my diet this summer). The chicken is tender and the elastic cheese and crispy crust make an interesting combination. It could do with tasty sauce though because after awhile i felt the dish were too dry and lack of taste, so i asked for steak sauce. It sounded weird but it worked! For sides, i had Caesar Salad, which is just ok, and Sweet Potato with sugar and Cinnamon, which i like. The service though was slow. Our drinks were not filled up and the waitress kept gone missing when we needed something. I would try their steaks next time.

i was delayed on my flight home from cancun and was stuck in atlanta overnight. basically i hadn't eaten for almost 24 hours (plane sat on tarmac for hours and landed in atlanta at midnight so everything was closed) and was starving by the time i got to my gate the next day. luckily there was a longhorn steakhouse in the airport by our gate so we ate there. now maybe everything tasted good to me, because i was starving, but it was such a delicious cheeseburger and garlic fries. so when i got back home to utah, all i could think about was that juicy cheeseburger and garlic fries. so i decided to try this place to satisfy my craving. it's actually a really nice restaurant and was more upscale than i expected. our server was very friendly and i felt well taken care of. they didn't have the rancher burger (bacon with egg), but i got the regular cheeseburger instead with garlic fries. the cheeseburger wasn't as juicy, but still good. the garlic fries were a big disappointment as they didn't have enough flavor in them. so overall i was disappointed and will probably go elsewhere next time i have a cheeseburger craving.

My friends told me that the stakes here are way better than Texas Roadhouse. When we first got there the wait time was about 10-15 mins for 12 people. When we first got seated it took the waiter a while to get to us so we just ordered right off the bat along with our drinks. Let's go to the main point that you all want to know, which is "how is the food?" They do bring out bread for you to enjoy probably because the food take a little while to come out. I ordered the ribeye with sweet potato fully loaded and a strawberry pecan salad. The salad came out first, the first couple of bites was a bit tangy, but when you start reaching the bottom of the salad it just started to burn my throat because of the dressing they use. Too sour and acidity. When I got my steak and sweet potato it looked very delicious. The sweet potato had some melted marshmallow in the middle, but you can hardly notice it with the ton of cinnamon sugar that they slab onto it. The sweet potato I had seem to have lost it sweetness. You can't eat the sweet potato alone because it will just taste bland and mush. The steak was prepared medium well for me when I asked for medium. My friend steak who go the bone in ribeye looks more like medium raw and he also asked for medium. They don't really cook the steak like how it is explained, so if you like a medium well steak I would recommend you get medium. Another thing about this place is that their waiters seem to disappear. We were trying to find out waitress for a good 10 mins but couldn't find her or couldn't eve. Get her attention. We just wanted steak sauce because our steak was a bit dry. All in all though. The steak was delicious just not really prepared the way I liked it. If I do get a choice to either go to Texas Roadhouse or this place I would chose Texas Roadhouse. The service was very friendly.

Parking on a busy night is horrendous. The lines are teeming with hungry, impatient people. And the smell is overwhelmingly good. All factors to make a starving person, die inside - one could even use the word 'torture.' ANYWHO - this has definitely been one of my favorites since moving to SLC in terms of steak. I came here with my bud after a day of carving my butt into the mountain (or vice versa applies I suppose). Needed to replenish protein storage and neither of us knew what LongHorn was all about, so in we went! The wait was pretty crazy for a Saturday night, but we were patient, knowing that long crowds meant great quality. Were we wrong? NOPE! I got the Outlaw Steak, a nice slab of marbled deliciousness cooked to PERFECTION! Ladies and gents, I've had my share of steak, and for the price, it's excellent. The loaded potato definitely could've used some work, but the service and steak were all that mattered to me as I tried to recover. Anywho - LongHorn Steakhouse!.. I'll be back.

I ordered the steak and lobster tail and it was the best! I loved it for the first time being there. It's really cold in there though not that it should matter but the food was great the service was great over all I enjoyed everything and would recommend coming here.

I spend about half of each month traveling for work and when I do if there is a LongHorn Steakhouse near my hotel its usually one of my first choices. I never eat at the actual restaurant, I prefer to order to go and get back to doing work while enjoying dinner in my hotel room. LongHorn has online ordering which is very convenient. I ordered a Flo's steak with shrimp that comes with baked potato along with the fixings and a side Cesar salad as well as a bowl of Tortilla soup. Everything was good and tasty. The only comments I could make on the food was that the tortilla soup was surprisingly rather spicy and the baked potato didn't seem the most fresh, but everything else was good. The steak and shrimp were very good. I can't comment on the service much, the bartender that got me my order was very nice and made sure I had everything on my order and that I needed, but she also seemed overwhelmed with too much going on.

Had the 20oz Porterhouse which was well-seasoned but way too much to finish. I took more than half of it home. Yes, I am the lightweight of the group. The asparagus was delicious. They had the butterscotch pudding on the menu, but ALAS, they had run out because it is such a popular dessert menu item. They had a shortage a while back as well, according to the manager. And while I was disappointed, I was also full of gratitude knowing that I was able to enjoy the pudding at the last Yelp event.

Try the Mac and cheese it's special. Not kids stuff well unless your kids are used to eating well! I think bang for your buck this place is really great. It's good solid food. Every time I've been everyone I was with has enjoyed their food. The steaks have been cooked properly and were full of flavor. The bread they bring out at the start is really really yummy Here's what I've tried -Parmesan steak -Parmesan crusted asparagus -macaroni and cheese -fried cheese salad (this was a seasonal item) -stuffed mushrooms -trout -apple pie (it's an non-traditional apple pie but it's very yummy) It was all delicious and I'd order them all again in a second. They are good for bigger groups too. Lots of space and we've always had great service. We've taken a baby as well as young kids and it was fine for them. They seem very family friendly but it's not all cheesy and geared to kids.

I had the Flo's steak with a lobster tail and side of prawns two nights ago for dinner. The sweet corn fritters for appetizer. Overall the food was good, but a bit too oily. Service was great! I would come back again for dinner.

It is what it is. It is a chain, but much better than most. The staff and management is right on a problem if there is one.

Salad and steak was pretty good. Service was good too. I came solo and wanted to sit at the bar, the bar atmosphere sucks and could be so much better. It's nice but grossly underutilized. First, get a bar license, so your staff doesn't have to struggle through explaining Utah beverage laws to everyone and that prime area can be more attractive to customers. Right now, it's just a really fancy gift card counter. Second, weatherproof your front door, the cold air crushes the bar area with every opening. Two hugely needed improvements! Otherwise, not a bad spot.

Longhorn Steak House is one of my favorite steakhouse chains. The ambiance is nice, it feels more upscale and it's never too loud. Every time we have been here the service has been beyond outstanding. We have been especially impressed with Kathleen C and Rick H. The service is completely on point... Attentive, friendly, accommodating, they give the best recommendations. Tonight Kathleen noticed we had a toddler with us and as we were being seated she immediately came over and asked if she could bring us a fresh baked sweet potato with a little honey for him. She had the potato to our table before we even ordered. On one of our last visits Rick was similarly awesome ... Handling food allergies in the group by recommending great options not on the menu. When it was time to go he brought a brand new fresh lemonade in a to-go cup that he thought id love. (He was right.) I am so appreciative of this type of amazing service. It keeps us coming back again and again. The service is what also pushed this review from 4 to 5 stars. Luckily the food is fantastic too. Bread arrives fresh baked and warm to your table. Appetizers are somewhat inventive and delicious. Salads are fresh and crisp, dressings taste homemade. The meat is always perfectly cooked and flavorful. We love this place!

Not satisfying! I will say their Flo's Sirloin was very tender and succulent! Their Montana Mule was also amazing! I was not impressed with their table side steak sauce, grilled onions, or shrimp chowder. The table side sauce is mixed into a mini pot in front of you and is offered with a side of this Asian chili sauce that doesn't mix well ($2). Grilled onions came in a separate bowl rather than I top of the steak and tasted too sweet and soggy ($3). The jalapeño shooters were mediocre, the sauce it was dipped in was delicious. I probably will not be back here, except for the Montana Mule!

This was our first visit to a Longhorn Steakhouse and we'd come back for sure. The menu had so many great things on it, it was so hard to choose! Great ribeye, cooked to perfection, right amount of marbling. The seasoning was exact, with a pleasant kick. I'm more of a roll girl, but the honey wheat bread was pretty great too. Party also enjoyed the cheese fries and baked sweet potato. Service was friendly, the wait wasn't too bad for a Friday night (NOTE: Use the call-ahead seating!!!) and prices were about average and reasonable for a meal like this. Steaks will run you $13-30, depending on the cut and combo. Most other menu items will be $11-16.

For the first time in what feels like years I had the pleasure of having a perfectly cook actually medium rare steak! And they don't add any garnishments to the plate, every bite was edible and delicious, no extra steak sauces needed. My compliments to the chef and to our waiter Matthew, he was right on it with everything! I am in love with this restaurant. Although we cannot afford to frequent this establishment all the time, they really are top notch! We have visited a few times, some on slower nights and some on busier nights, but this place is amazing and worth the wait on a Friday night. We will be back, but maybe only on special occasions due to the cost.

I recently ate here on my lunch break and the service and food was good. The waitress acknowledge we had a large group (6 people) and asked us how we are on time today, as she was assuming we were on our lunch break. She was great with her recommendations, very knowledgeable of the menu, and our drinks were always refilled. I ordered the bacon wrapped fillet with a side of rice. I had ordered it medium rare, it was served to me medium. Which was fine and to be expected with most places. Unless it's a fine steak house. I wasn't a fan of the bacon, it was somewhat soggy and gross, so I actually peeled it off of the steak. The lunch menu is super affordable, (mostly under $10). Which is great for the quality of food. I'd definitely choose this place over any other $10 lunch place.

Tks is a great place with good food and reasonable prices. I recommend it yet the service is hit and miss. You're lucky one visit and next, it's a nightmare. So food a good waiter and stick with them and ask for them on your return visits.

Despite being a steakhouse restaurant chain...Longhorn does it right. At least they did for me this past Friday for lunch. The 18 oz Ribeye I got costs about $25 and was worth every cent. The loaded stuffed potato (side) was fine but I didn't care to finish it as my distended stomach couldn't take much more. I can't wait to try the porterhouse for two next time I visit.

It was my first time eating here. The food was good. I really enjoyed my appetizer, the pretzel sticks. I LOVED the tomato and bacon salad. It was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly. The signature steak sauce was like an adventure for my little taste buds. I liked it. The only downside was how long we had to wait which I didn't understand why because there were hardly any patrons. It was also expensive, for two of us it was $110.00 (that includes the tip). I will be back though! Good food!

Longhorn is one of the best reasonably priced steak chains around. I usually get the Renegade Rib-eye which is excellent. The Keg used to be #1 until I moved to Texas. Unfortunately, sourdough bread hasn't been invented yet in Texas. One of the things that make America #1 in the world is the separation of church and state. Utah needs to pay close attention to this. Bullshit laws like Zion's curtain are creepy, harm business, and make your state look like an eerie LDS version of the Ottoman Empire. If you follow history things did not end well for the Ottomans.

Hubby and I went here for date night a couple of weeks ago. Only about a ,20 minute wait. Slow service, though. The waiter was nice, BUT he brought us dirty bread plates still with water on. I showed him. He brought us new plates. The food was good. I had a great strawberry pecan salad I sent back because it came cheese. Nowhere in the description did it state cheese. The salad was very good. I also had the sauteed green beans. I have had better. Nothing special about them, though I was happy they were a but fresh. Hubby had the potato leek au gratin, which was not to his liking, but it was well prepared. He also ordered a steak, which was fine. We were never asked or given refills, nor saw our waiter again. It receives 2stars due to lack of consistent service and dirty dishes.

I went to a late lunch at LongHorn on Fort Union yesterday around 3 PM. There was only one server working, as far as I could tell, but she was really hustling to handle about 6 or 7 tables on her own. Although she was working solo, she was attentive and friendly and we didn't have to wait long times for our drinks and food. As for the food, I ordered a sirloin sandwich with onion crisps on top. It came with some kind of special sauce on it and it was delicious! The lunch special also came with a salad or soup and I opted for the Caesar salad. It was a really big portion for a side salad, and it was pretty good, too. My lunch partner ordered the flatiron steak, which I tried, and it was tender and delicious. Also, their homemade potato chips were fabulous. I cannot wait to go back and try some more of what they have to offer.

I don't know what the deal was when I came here but none of our steaks were cooked right. I have wanted to try Longhorn for so long and finally got to on Monday, let's just say I was pretty let down. First off the wait was like 40 minutes, not 15 like I was told. And I had to wait forever at the bar before getting a beer from their finite mediocre selection. Second, most of everyone's steak was cooked wrong. 4 out of 8 of us thought our steak was done wrong... Wtf? Some undercooked and some over, I ordered mine medium rare and sure enough, no pink. The worst part about that was how good it could have been, the flavor was there, the cut was there, but it was totally over cooked, tough and lost a lot of flavor. It was only a 20oz Porterhouse Steak... Nothing fancy lol -they should've got the most expensive steak at the table right, I would have sent it back but I was starving and it was still pretty good so I didn't bother. Can I make this review any worse? It was my birthday! Haha don't get me wrong, it was a great time with the family but the service and some peoples food were just half assed, it wasn't cheap and they need to try a little harder to get orders right. The waitress barely acknowledged it was my birthday and the bartender didn't say a thing! lol I don't care but it was just funny - icing on top of the cake :P that, no they didn't give to me or sing just sayin. I will be back here... I say relentlessly and without a plan to anytime soon, but I want to give them another shot, make my steak right and maybe not so much pressure with a big family. My steak really was delicious, I just think it could have been better.

Tonight the salad was fresh and excellent ! I got the ribeye which was very good but my daughter Sam got the filet and I have to say the filet was better than the ribeye tonight. The filet was very flavorful and extremely melt in your mouth tender.

Longhorns is proof that there are not enough consistently mediocre restaurants with fair prices. We've been to Longhorns at least a dozen times so we knew what we were getting into, but still. Two of us waited for about an hour and twenty. The menu is great. They have a wide selection of steak cuts that are nicely described. Plenty of appetizers and small plates that will not be passed up by people who have been starving and smelling food for over 60 mins. For those who avoid the deliciousness of red meat the menu includes a few tempting fish, chicken, and salad options. The portions are all generous and each entree comes with two sides. We both went with steak (New York and Sirloin) and both were ordered medium-well. They were cooked just right, but more towards the well side. I'm not convinced that the New York was an actual New York, but after an 80 minute wait anything tastes amazing. A meat purest would likely turn up their nose at the amount of butter used in preparation, but on the bright side no steak sauce is needed. My side dishes were boring; fries and a salad. Though their salad is quite good. My date's sides were a salad and au gratin potatoes. Sadly the potatoes looked much better in the Denny's-style menu insert. The we're full of garlic and a rubbery cheesy substance more often found on stale chips at sporting events. I think it's safe to say that the majority of their menu items are re-heated to order. All of this seems fair as two of us with steaks, an appetizer and two delicious Squatters beers (18 oz on tap) came out under $60. The best part of a Longhorns visit is probably the cozy decor. The booths are comfortable and the hokey western art is kind of homey. The bar is absolutely beautiful as well. However, the bar's beauty is a tragic waste being unfortunately placed in a Utah restaurant where nonsensical laws will forever rob such a magnificent creation of its potential. In previous Longhorns visits we have had average service and very poor service. This time our waitress was nothing short of amazing. She was very patient with a half-starved and extremely cranky customer. For that reason alone she deserves a medal. If you do visit the Midvale Longhorns and you are fortunate enough to be taken care of by Kathleen, you'll be in for a delightful experience at a mid-level establishment.

I've gone several times and sat at the bar and had a great time, but 3 times in the last year I've taken a group of 7-10 people and it has been very disappointing. I'm not sure why, but the service becomes almost nonexistent with the groups I've taken. The last time was on Tuesday January 6, 2015. Although the restaurant was only about half full, it took almost 20 minutes to be seated. The server came quickly to take drink orders, but took a long time to deliver. Everyone got a salad with their entree, but only 5 of the 10 came out with the remaining coming out about 5 minutes later. We split the check 3 ways. Each one came with an error, even including items from other tables. Love the food, but the service with a large crowd in questionable. Go, but go in groups of 4.

This Longhorn was actually a nice addition to this neighborhood, their chain locations all have good vibe for a steakhouse, and it definitely sets a part of the other Texan chain. Price is a little higher than average chain, but they make it up on quality. After many visits, I tried their Porterhouse for 2, Outlook Ribeye, Prime Rib, and Filet & Lobster. Filet is still my favorite meat on a cow and they do a good job here. Porterhouse was great for the entertainment value when they served it on the table. Their meat qualities stay quite consistent here. I always get soup over salad, French Onion and Shrimp Lobster here are both good. Service had been great here, there was one time a steak came out too rare, and they gladly got me a new one at the right searing and temperature. Overall, they are a quite solid chain.

Among all of the other chain steakhouses, Longhorn is definitely the best in my opinion. If you're looking for a place that will give you your steak temperature exactly the way you ordered it, this is the place. They offer all your traditional cuts, and on my recent visit they were featuring "Steaks That Sizzle." For the low price of $12.99 for a 6oz steak including a salad, bread and side dish, I was sold. I went with a sirloin wrapped in bacon and topped with a bacon and cheese sauce. It was really tasty and I finished the entire thing which is quite rare for me. On other occasions, I've shared the Porterhouse for two and the Outlaw Ribeye which I both enjoyed. The steaks don't necessarily need any kind of sauce, but I would have to recommend getting the signature sauce that they make table side. It smells wonderful and you can add a spicy kick to it if you'd like, which to me makes this place even better.

Went here for my birthday because I love me some good grilled meat! I decided to get the full rack of baby back ribs and they were absolutely delicious! Fall-off-the-bone tender and smothered in a wonderful barbecue sauce! By the time they brought me a warm, wet cloth to wipe my face, all that was left was a pile of bones... Our waitress was wonderful too! Very attentive, polite, funny. She added to a fantastic night of good food, good friends, and good memories! I'll be back, for sure :)

I was craving steak and have never tried this place, before. So, decided to take some family out for lunch and picked Longhorn Steakhouse. Boy am I glad I did! The menu was very helpful. It showed you different cuts of beef and gave a pretty good description. I wasn't into the fatty steaks, so when it described the sirloin cut as being lean, I took their word for it. It didn't take a long time for the food to arrive, considering we had a party of 8 and there were quite a few others, there. As described, my "Renegade Sirloin" was very lean and I was able to eat each and every piece of it! The steak was juicy and very tender. Maybe it was because I chose to have mine cooked medium? In any case, I did have some A1 steak sauce with it, but I would say that this isn't really needed, since the steak can definitely hold its own. But, my sister had a different kind of steak sauce. It was called the "tabletop sauce". What they do is bring some "ingredients" to your table. This included a small bowl with a rock (or something) inside heated to about 500 degrees. From there, a little show is put on where the waiter would put in some garlic sauces followed by some house steak sauce. Man, that sizzling sound is very appetizing! Accompanying the sauce was some chili paste. I never tried that on steak before, but I gave it a shot and put on some of the tabletop sauce with the chili. It was pretty dang good! Normally, it would have been charged as a side, but the waiter was nice enough to give it to us a sample. Service was superb. We had a party of 8, which included 2 kids. The waitress and other staff always checked on us and made sure our drinks were filled. My niece broke her crayon while drawing on one of the activity books they gave us. Promptly, they went and gave her another. Very cool. It's those little things that make a difference. Because of our larger party, gratuity was automatically charged. But because I felt they went the extra mile, I had no problem giving them a little extra. Great steaks, great service. Not much else to ask for. I highly recommend Longhorn Steakhouse!

Pretty good steaks from the latest chain to come to town. They have some innovative seasonal sides plus some jazzed up steaks--most involve bacon and cheese--that keep things interesting. They offer a pricey, but very tasty table side steak sauce which entails sautéing orange peel, garlic, rosemary and other spices then dumping in their "signature" steak sauce to kick it up a notch. This is totally worth getting even with the cheesy tableside prep of it, it ends up an excellent steak sauce.

I've only been here 2 or 3 times but each time has been great. My first time here my husband planned a surprise dinner with bout 10-15 of our friends and family. The staff was completely supportive and easy to work with (according to my husband). The wait staff we've gotten each time has been very helpful and knowledgeable. Everything on the menu has been delish. Parking is easy. No complaints here.

Service - 5 Stars - Our waiter (Callam) was just perfect! We went on a Saturday night for my husband's birthday, after getting caught in a torrential storm. Although we called for their call-ahead seating, there was really no need, as we were there around 5:00. Our server was knowledgeable, engaging and, when I wasn't sure about ordering the Orange Ginger Lemonade, he offered to bring me a sample so I could try it before I ordered. He was friendly, without being overly friendly, attentive, but also gave us our space. On a side note, when we boxed everything up, he brought out some extra cilantro lime dipping sauce for our firecracker chicken wraps without us even asking - love it! (I'm a saucy gal) Food - 4 1/2 stars - We tried the firecracker chicken wraps for appetizers - delicious! My husband order the bacon wrapped filet, cooked medium, and I got the grilled chicken and stuffed portabella. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken I had was so moist and delicious, I couldn't believe it! Usually I don't order grilled chicken because it ends up coming out too dry, but this was spot on. Ambience - 4 stars - It somewhat reminded me of Black Angus, chandeliers made out of antlers, but the feel was cozy and nice. There was a good crowd of people by the time we left. Value - 5 stars - We had signed up for their club and had a coupon for a free appetizer. With drinks, appetizer and entrees, our total (before tip) came to only $45 - a steal considering the quality of the food. I wish I could give this place 4 1/2 stars, but I had to round down simply based on the fact that this is not groundbreaking, blow your mind with its creativity food - what it is, though, is comfort food at its best. We'll definitely go again!

I love this restaurant! My husband and I go weekly and we have never had a bad meal. The steaks are delicious and tender. The salad is wonderful along with the baked potato. They change the specials every 6 to 8 weeks and they are wonderful ...Dessert are yummy! I love the place and love the wine list. Try it and you will be happy!!

The Outlaw steak blew me away as far as beef went. Thats where the amazing ends. Our appetizer was meh, our mix drinks didn't have much flavor and the side were bland. My wife's filet mignon, was alright. It was good, but not at that cost. I expect amazing food at $80 for two people. We'll give it another shot eventually. Always try twice!

This place gets pretty busy. You can do call ahead seating, but that just means you don't have to wait as long when you get there. We got seated and got our drinks pretty quickly with a loaf of their unlimited honey wheat bread. Three out of the four of us ordered salad, but mine was wrong so the 4th person also got a salad for free. I also ordered a stead (well-done) with rice. When my food came out it was cooked medium well (quite pink in the middle at some points) with mashed potatoes. I asked for rice and the waitress apologized and brought some out. The rice was flavored well and was one of my favorite parts of the meal. We asked for more bread and the waitress told us that they had run out of their "unlimited" bread. My most favorite part of the meal was my husbands parmesan crusted asparagus. It is REALLY good! We got two desserts, a brownie sundae and a chocolate lava cake. I wouldn't recommend either of those. The chocolate on both was bitter and overall it just wasn't great.

With some dishes the quality of the food is all about how it is prepared, with steak it is all about the quality of the cut of the meat. Having said that, my wife and I visited the new Longhorn Steak House on opening night in hopes of finding a steak house that understands that great steaks come from a great cut of meat and I am please to say that the Longhorn Steak House did not disappoint. Lets start at the beginning, the new restaurant is beautiful and very inviting. The staff was great, very welcoming and attentive to the customers needs without hovering. After we were seated our drink order was brought right out and and we were given fresh baked (still warm) Honey Wheat Bread which was delicious and a nice change of pace from the regular rolls and breads that are normally served in most establishments. I tried the Loaded Baked Potato Soup which is a main stay at most steak house's and I must say that it was just OK, I really enjoy a good baked potato soup and I most likely will not order this one again but I have to say that it was the only item of the night that did not measure up. We moved on to the Western Cheese Fries that were served hot with ample toppings and an abundance of bacon bits, very good. My wife had the Longhorn Salmon served on a bed rice and she ordered it with green beans and she said that the entire dinner was great, lots of flavor and she particularly enjoyed the taste and texture of the green beans. The salmon was cooked perfectly, very moist, and seasoned just right. I had the 9oz Flo's Filet with a baked potato, the potato was a little small but the cut of the steak made up for it, this was a good steak!! Now I always order my steak well done which some cooks seem to think means burnt and dry, this well done steak was juicy, tender, and had the taste that you would expect from a great cut of meat. Best steak that I have ever had, NO. One of the best steaks that I have ever had at a chain restaurant, YES ................ this was a very good steak that was prepared just right!! So to all of my fellow Yelpers I say, go to the Longhorn Steak House and enjoy. Until next time ..................... Be Local, Buy Local, Live Local!!!!

First time we came here on a double date and we decided to order for 2 the 30 oz porterhouse med rare. So so so good. Last night we came back with a group of guys and I ordered the bacon - potato soup and it was amazingly filling. They staff were nice and let us stay late - we didn't keep track of time. The service was awesome as well. :)

Wow. Living in Sandy, I get soooooo sick of chains but here I am giving a good review on one. The best steak on the planet comes from my back yard of course! But, I'll have to admit, this was pretty dam_ good! The price is right and I haven't had a server yet that didn't do a fine job considering the overall crowd levels. Of course you get more attention when its slower. Don't go on a Saturday night. It's popular and we had to wait about an hour. I'm usually not a filet kind of guy but this one is good. They actually throw some seasoning at it and the doneness levels have been more accurate here than almost anyplace I've been (Including Spencers and Flemings) Yeah, it's not so swanky for impressing a date or anything but I was surprised to find a good value here. If I could only get them to serve some crab......!

Haven't been to longhorn in a few years, but I definitely was not disappointed. The blackened salmon over cheese grits with a citrus butter is amazing. For an appetizer that wakes up your taste buds of with the wild rest shrimp. Topping the meal off with a slice of key lime pie, which you can't find anywhere is perfect. One thing that really made me happy was the new cucumber mint lemonade. I'll be trying to recreate this little treasure at home. Shout out to the best waiter ever Garrett.

Dinner was outstanding!!!! The steaks were so tender you can cut them with a butter knife. We also had the pork chops, they were perfectly cooked and delicious. We highly recommend the risotto as a side. It's only a little extra. Lori or server did an excellent job. She was very kind and prompt to our needs.

The first time I went to Longhorn stakehouse I loved it, it was the quality of Flemings with the price of Texas Roadhouse. I ordered the ribeye stake and loved every bite. I would have rated 5 stars then. Today they got the kids meal wrong, the salad wrong, the main dish wrong and they couldn't split the bill properly it was ridiculous. The orders that were right were amazing, the problems otherwise were annoying. I would give them a 3 star review today. So to be fair I'll give them 4 because problems happen everywhere and to anyone. I'll go again sometime, hopefully my next experience will be more like the first time and not like today.

Amazing steak selection and cooked to perfection. I love their add on items. My favorite is any sirloin encrusted with the blue cheese, and mushrooms added. Menu has a lot to offer anyone. The servers are always awesome. The hostess is a bit feisty if you ask for a booth and she wants to put you at a table. She got over it though. :)

I was pleasantly surprised when I filled out the survey on the bottom of my receipt and the manager, Chad, mailed me a gift card to return on hopefully a not so busy weeknight. We went on a Monday and still had to wait 20 minutes. The experience was different, but was definitely not better. Our waitress returned maybe once after taking our order, someone else brought the food to the table. This place is EXTREMELY understaffed. One of the tables next to us was basically the table all the waitresses would stack the dirty dishes on until they could take them to the kitchen, which I didn't see them do once during our visit. When we left, the stack was like two feet high. The manager on duty brought our dinner because, like I mentioned, we never saw our waitress again and they were understaffed. Interestingly, she showed back up to drop off the check and wish us "a great night and thanks for coming in." This restaurant and their employees have a flagrant disregard for detail. You can tell they are not passionate about their work and don't take pride in it for obvious reasons. The manager happened to stop by the table right behind us to apologize for getting his dinner order incorrect. I think this restaurant has a long way to go. They need a new staff...

Great food but the service was slow. The restaurant was about 3/4 of the way full, no excuse for the slow service. But we both had their filet and lobster tail-full flavor with both dishes.

I had the Flo's steak with a lobster tail and side of prawns two nights ago for dinner. The sweet corn fritters for appetizer. Overall the food was good, but a bit too oily. Service was great! I would come back again for dinner.

This is def a great steakhouse! We loved every bit of what we ate. We went here for valentines day and got the 2 for 29.99 lunch special. Such a good deal. Comes with 2 entrees, a dessert or appetizer and I believe 2 drinks. I ordered the garlic portabello sirloin with the garlic mashed potatoes. The sirloin was cooked perfectly and had such great flavor. Mashed potatoes were awesome too. My hubby ordered the bacon wrapped sirloin which he loved. Both were good but he said he like the garlic portabello more. ;) We opted for the dessert instead of appetizer and surprisingly had enough room but the dessert is enough for 2 sittings! We took half home. We ordered the chocolate stampede. If you're a chocolate lover YOU WILL BE IN HEAVEN! It was amazing. Chocolate cake served with vanilla nice cream. To die for. Also, you get salads with your entrees. I upgraded to the winter Brie salad. Also... Amazing. The Brie is breaded and warm. So many different flavors all in one salad. It's a must try. To top off this great food was absolutely wonderful service. I wish I would've gotten my servers name cuz she was a sweetheart. Can't wait I go back to Longhorn for more!!!

this place is better than the longhorn in sj--they taste different, one in midvale has better tasting steaks. I don't know what it is--if it's the chef or what. i come here with the gf whenever we feel like having a decent steak. the ribeye is my go-to here. it's big and juicy. gf likes the sweet potato. it's big and comes fresh to order. prices are good too. not as cheap as sizzlers but wont break the bank (comparable to outback). it's a chill place, casual dress. i come here whenever i want steak.

Longhorn is an interesting chain steakhouse because they have this upscale cowboy decor and their food is a bit more classy than your normal joint (say Outback or Texas Roadhouse). This restaurant has a nice, comfortable decor and pretty dang tasty food! The steaks are a cut above Outback and Texas Roadhouse, and you'll pay a bit more but it's worth it. I also like their selection of sides -- where else can you get FRESH sauteed green beans? Yum! My only complaint would be the spotty service we received on 2 separate occasions. Our server wasn't very attentive, forgot to bring out the bread basket, didn't ask how our steaks were cooked....they need to focus a bit on improving their service but other than that, this place rocks! The food is DELICIOUS! Though I still haven't been able to try their salmon since they were out of it twice when I tried to order it. Oh, and you can use Red Lobster and Olive Garden gift cards here since they are all part of the Darden Restaurant group! I got some nasty Red Lobster gift cards from my mother in law for Christmas and I thought I'd never use them, but it turns out they are good and can be spent at Longhorn! Score!

Three reasons to go to Longhorn Steakhouse: 1. For something finer than the average fair. 2. To increase one's knowledge of steak 3. The classy yet relaxed atmosphere Indeed these reasons may be vague, but if you want your hard-earned dollar to go towards a meal in which you will leave the restaurant feeling satisfied and thinking "that was so good!" instead of regret and thinking, "I can't believe I ate the whole thing." then you can't miss with Longhorn Steakhouse. Not only are their chops top choice, but their sides and desserts are unbelievable too. Each item I ate was a grand and fresh experience, building excitement like a well-crafted story. "More food! More wine!" I was inclined to bellow out as I raised a glass on multiple occasions. My education of steak increased quite a bit as well on my visit. Mike the manager shared his expert knowledge and steered us toward a cut of meat that would best suit our individual tastes. He was eager, polite and fun-loving. I can't say enough about him 'cause he was simply amazing. Longhorn Steakhouse is at the top of my list for special occasions, dates, or just good-eatin'. I can't wait to be back, says I.

This place is really accurate on how the steak is cooked. I always get the outlaw ribeye steak and they always cook it right every single time I've been there. The steak is so flavorful that I don't need any sauce for it. Now that's some good steak!

For the price this steakhouse is really great. This is my 3rd time and each time I have had consistent food. I was not disappointed with anything I had. The portions are generous and the food is very good.

I have been for lunch and dinner. All times there has never been a host at the hostess stand. Once seated the service has been great. Lunch combos were good. The broccoli cheese soup tasted like it came from a can so I dont know if they make them fresh or not. I had the chimchurri steak sandwich and for dinner the steak with bacon wrapped around it. Both times the steak was a little dry but tasty. The salads are meh. The chocolate cake was amazing. I will go back to try other dishes.

Went here for my birthday dinner, service was great and the place was packed for a wed. I had the the flo filet and it was melt in your mouth amazing! Mashed potatoes were great as was my husbands shrimp and i don't even like shrimp. Will be coming back soon I want to try the parm crusted chicken next go around.

Not the best cut of meat, I wasn't expecting Ruth Chris but it was a very cheap cut of meat. Their are better steak houses in this price range in town,

We were in the neighborhood and had a hankering for some hearty food, so we decided to give this CHAIN a shot. I'm sooo glad we did! Their prices are okay, but it's not cheap. They were having a special, and I'm not sure if this is an "all the time" thing or what, but it was an amazing value! Dinner for 2 for $25, included choice of dessert or appetizer to share (we chose the calamari app), 6 different entree choices (salmon and sirloin for us), salads and sides (green beans, loaded baked potato). The calamari was fantastic! Some of the best I've ever had. The "rubbery" texture you sometimes get was nonexistent here. The salads were pretty typical, but very tasty and composed of ultra-fresh and crisp ingredients. The loaded baked potato and green beans were both fresh and perfectly prepared. Lisa's salmon was absolutely delicious. It was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. My steak was among the best I've had anywhere, including the high-end, outrageously priced, steakhouses. It was top sirloin, so not the most tender cut of meat, but it was seasoned and prepared exquisitely. Yum! I ordered mine medium-rare (because I'm a grown-up) and was warned that it would have a warm red center. Right... medium rare. They weren't kidding. It was PERFECT! Red... not pink... red in the center, but warm. It had a thick seared crust on the outside that was about 1/8" thick all the way around. Excellent! I asked our waiter if they had a lot of people send their steaks back for being under cooked, because many Utahns suffer from "I don't know how to order/eat/prepare/appreciate steak in its proper form-itis." Yeah... I'm pretty sure that's a real thing. He said they fight against it all the time, but they'll continue to cook steaks the way they're supposed to be cooked. Let the leather-eaters be damned (my sentiment, not his)! I really hope this place never caves in and starts over-cooking everything to satisfy the unwashed and uninitiated masses. I'd actually give Longhorn 5 stars, but we had to wait a while for our meal to begin. Not long enough to be angry, but enough to be slightly annoyed. Luckily the food, wine, service and everything else was worth the wait.

Longhorn Steak House serves up some pretty good grub at this Midvale location. We ate here for the first time the other day for a workday lunch. I ordered the chicken fontina sandwich with a mixed green salad. My friend Kirk ordered the roasted sirloin sandwich and a caesar salad. When the food was served up everything looked great. The sandwiches were smaller then we expected, but the salad was pretty large. Our meals also came with homemade potato chips covered in cheese and bacon! The chips were sinfully delicious. Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us, making sure our glasses were refilled when needed and she checked on us regularly to make sure we were happy. Longhorn Steak House has western decor throughout and an inviting atmosphere. Come for lunch, dinner or saddle up to the bar and just have a drink. There's lots to enjoy about this new restaurant. I would eat here again!

First time visitor here today for lunch with four co-workers. I'm impressed. We got there at 11:45 just before the lunch crowd and it sure filled up fast. Food was good. I had the lunch combo of the half shaved prime rib sandwich and a cesear salad. The bread on the sandwich was soft and tasty, the meat great. It had melted swiss and sauteed mushrooms on it as well. I love mushroom and swiss. The cesear had a nice bite to the dressing and my lettuce was crisp and fresh. My co-workers enjoyed their food as well. We all had the combo and the concensus at the table is that the french onion soup is amazing. The whole group loved their food. Minus one star for two reasons; one co-worker ordered the broccoli asiago soup and it did not come out with her meal. In fact, the manager (or someone) came by and said it was not ready and would not be for another 5-10 minutes. Really? At lunch time and they didn't have a standard menu item ready? Second reason is our server. Although she was pleasant and filled up the water and diet coke my co workers had, my iced tea remained unfilled through the entire meal. Not only that, she sort of snapped at me when I reminded her it was unsweetened tea. I think she disliked me after that. Or I'm just being paranoid. Overall, a very positive experience with delicious food. I'm certainly going back again.

So this weekend I was out of town in Salt Lake City, Utah to visit my sister and decided to come to Longhorn steakhouse! As a current employee in the Doral, Florida location I would have to say that my server Jill was amazing ! She gave me and my family very great server. Jill was very kind and friendly and was very attentive. Also, the manager of the store Alex stopped by the table and was very friendly as well. Kindly asked about how our experience was which I though was great ! Also, the restaurant was very very cleaned and I felt welcomed as I walked through the doors. Everything was AWESOME! Keep it up !

  • Matias S.

I've had better steak, but I can't remember when or where. I ordered with expectations of over cooked under seasoned meat. I was WRONG! This was THE best tasting most perfectly cooked meat I've eaten from a restaurant - since The Golden Steer in Las Vegas. Wonderful service. Wonderful food. I am pleased to say the least.

Clearly a chain the parent company is waiting to sell. The manager was just handing menus to people and pointing to their table, out of coke, they watered down the French onion soup to drag it out. The server was the only positive tonight...

This Longhorn Steak House has become my favorite place for a steak. Been here several times; food is always great and the service excellent. Their seasonal specials are ways worth checking out. Longhorn's prices are reasonable too.

The service was good, the outlaw ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Everything was delicious. I think I've found my new steakhouse. And pretty reasonably priced!!
