    1. The waffles taste exceptionally good. The sugar crystals in the dough are such a great touch and I love every desert waffle I've tried. I'll admit I haven't sampled the savory menu yet. 2. The ambiance and location are awesome. Love that they went downtown instead of in some strip mall. It just gives the place a better feel. 3. I saw a complaint about waffle size. I don't get it. It is a single waffle. I don't know about everyone else, but if I want to get full off of waffles, I'll go to Angie's (great place too!). If I want one unique, high quality waffle for a large snack, desert, or breakfast (which generally is a smaller meal for me), The Waffle Iron is my choice. 4. It makes my wife happy. We live in Salt Lake now, but she is always wanting to find an excuse to go to Logan so she can get a waffle here. Fine with me.

Just came home from a great experience at The Waffle Iron. It's the sort of restaurant that Provo, Orem, and Salt Lake have in vast quantities, and that Logan definitely needs more of. The interior is super tasteful, and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making it welcoming for families and students alike. The menu is relatively small and can be found on a blackboard next to the register. There are a variety of specialty hot and cold beverages, about 6 specialty dessert waffles, two or three savory waffles, and a section for daily specials. My friend and I both ordered dessert waffles. His was the chocolate truffle, which came with a rich chocolate filling, and I ordered the BBC, which topped with a cookie spread. Both of our waffles were topped generously with strawberries and what is possibly the best whipped cream I've ever tasted. Both waffles were delicious! I'll definitely come back to The Waffle Iron! Their truck is great, and I'm glad to have them just up the street in brick and mortar.

I was excited to try this place right when I found out about it. Waffle was small and I didn't get full. It really was dainty. It's disappointing when you spend $7 on a waffle and it doesn't fill you. No question these waffles are fantastic. Seriously so good! But I also want to get full. Some folks with a more petite appetite will do great here. Ill do great here if they just make a bigger waffle. They will do great in Logan if they just make a bigger waffle. I want this place to make it...so just make a bigger waffle and I think you will!! Ill go back, and if I get a waffle that fills me..I'm not a big guy or an over eater.., ill come back with 5 stars.

This was my first Liege waffle and I'm not sure what I expected. It was ok, but nothing spectacular and fairly expensive ($7 for one waffle). The waffle had some crunchy bits of caramelized sugar and tasted as if it came from an enriched dough, but it was not substantially different than a Belgian waffle. Fresh whipped cream was a nice touch but there was way too much-it overpowered the waffle and it felt like ingesting a pint of cream.

This was a decent stop. ordered the mountain man, the fresh fruit and the special with mushrooms and pesto. coffee was delicious. staff was friendly. easy parking here. waffles were good. quite novel. an expensive breakfast but better than the fast food we have been eating in our travels.

Awesome place! Loved the atmosphere and the food...fresh strawberries, peaches and cream! The savory eggs and ham was scrumptious too!

Breakfast for dinner!! And it was a phenomenal handcrafted and refined Liege waffle! Great vibe and atmosphere, and well designed. I was greeted very kindly and had a small conversation with Jade and briefly the owner. It was nearly 7:30pm, the place was jivin' and I got a waffle before my hike on the shoreline. They pay attention to fine details and serve / wait you like a traditional restaurant yet is more like a café. Be sure to tip well! Another yelper who reviewed this spot mentioned that this style of eatery is one of a kind for Logan, and I agree! Keep up the awesomeness and I hope lots more people learn about The Waffle Iron!

The liege waffles were thick, yeasty, sweet, and fluffy. Restaurant ambience had a simplistic coolness about it. Staff were patient and friendly. My husband and I went for sweet savory. It was great for a Saturday brunch after walking around from the farmers market. You can never go wrong with yummy waffles.

Tried the Belgian chocolate truffle waffle with strawberries. Yummy!! I was pleasantly surprised to discover the waffle was filled with chocolate! The strawberries were sweet, and the whipped cream was made from scratch. I loved the whipped cream! There was chocolate criss crossed on the whipped cream too. The waffle itself, with the pearls of sugar, was perfectly crunchy and delicious. I'm going back for sure!

What a fun place to get either a savory or sweet treat! I got Go Green which was yummy for me but not a favorite with my teenage boys or husband . I definitely was full from this waffle because it had an egg and avocado on it. I tried the Mountain Man which was really good and the BBC was so good! Prices are between $6-8 for each waffle but I would not recommend sharing a waffle--not quite big enough. You can eat inside or outside. I hope this place stays around for a long time!

My wife and I visited the Waffle Iron for breakfast (thank you for opening earlier) on a Friday and the place was hopping. While both of us had eaten many a waffle, we had never had a Liege waffle before. Tiny pieces of pearl sugar blended into the dough make the Liege waffle unique and delicious. If you're a fan of the Biscoff cookies that are often handed out by various airlines you've gotta try Nate's Fav! Highly recommended.

Went to the waffle iron for a Wednesday morning breakfast. I ordered the NBC which was delicious but very rich. I couldn't finish it. Absolutely no vegan options but they mentioned the owner might be open to trying veg waffles along with gluten free waffles in the future. It seems like they have a little ways to go if they want to be successful. Offering syrup on the tables, real silverware, and making sure the napkins are stocked would go a long way! One more thing, it is pricey. They had Wednesday specials but we didn't see them until after we ordered.

Great new spot in central Logan. Little pricey, but they make Ibis coffee and it's closer to the theatre (work) than Ibis is, so thank you for that! Also, check Waffle Wednesdays

Heaven in my mouth. These are the best waffles you will ever have, but if you and your stomach are expecting a full meal you won't quite be full after finishing one. The price makes sense as far as what you get in quality, but in quantity it comes just short of a stand alone meal and it's hard to justify unless you want a great snack or dessert.

The food at the Waffle Iron is really good, but it is kind of pricey. The building and atmosphere are awesome. I really like how it is laid out and setup in an old, exposed ceiling, brick wall, industrial-looking shop. Very cool setup. Expect to pay about $7-$8+ for a waffle, which isn't real big, but well worth trying. The waffles are the best you'll taste.

Great service, amazing food & even great lattes?! It's too good to be true!!! Exactly what Logan needed- a chill, fresh place! The waffles are seriously perfect... If you're only going to do one thing then do it perfectly! Yum

I got the mountain man and it was delicious from the gravy to the sugar lumps in the waffle. Super delicious and I have to say the eggs were cooked perfectly. The sizes are a bit small for the pricing but overall I was impressed with the vibe and meal.

Seriously good waffles. Great for a light breakfast, lunch, snack, or dessert! I love that they are open late!

I thought the waffle was maybe the best i have ever had in my life. It was so good. I would recommend you try this place out. The atmosphere was great also. But there was a major downer though..... I got two waffles and one drink (for me and a date) and it cost me $22.........yikes.....and its not like one waffle is a meal or anything and you only get 1 and nothing comes with it (I was definitely disappointed when they called my name and i walked up and saw the portion size compared to the cost) , it was probably like a 6" x 6" waffle maybe 7" x 7"(i am not sure) and probably around 1/2" thick. Bottom line is i hope this place does well because it is an awesome concept but unless they either reevaluate their prices or portion sizes I don't see this place lasting long term.

Logan is lucky to have such a refined, international niche delicacy. The food is as well thought out as the food truck outside design. All waffles are made to order with the timeless Belgian liege recipe that includes sugar crystals that caramelize to the outside. They make the waffles from a risen dough and then hand cut peaches, bananas, strawberries or whatever you choose on the spot. All waffles are sweet and quite substantial - unless you're pretty hungry, you can share for dessert. This act should stay around - go get a waffle!
