I like the evolved Philly cheesesteaks here. The bread is just right, stuffed with beef. Go for the one with marinara. If you want a heavy beefy lunch, this is the place.

We ride the Beemer here for the superb steak and everything sandwich and the awesome Philly cheese steak sandwich.

Very friendly employees who took our order and made our sandwiches. The restaurant was clean and theocracies were stocked with napkins, salt and pepper. Great drink selection. TV. Nice bathrooms.

I've been eating here for 5-6 years and recently went back for the first time in about 18 months. I forgot how good it is. I'm not big into veggies and things so I just get a steak and cream cheese. At first I was turned off by how expensive I thought it was for a small sandwich compared to Subway, but they put so much meat on it you get filled up even with just a 5-inch on some days.

I have eaten these sandwiches for over 10 years. One time and I was hooked for life. They are consistent and they are delicious. You come here because the food is just amazing. The atmosphere is great for casual lunch- not a romantic get away, although anything can be romantic with the right person, right? Get the STEAK and EVERYTHING. You'll not regret it. BEST SANDWICH YOU'LL EVER EAT. Honestly. It's juicy, filling, delicious. I've been eating them for years. I love the one in OREM too. They are seasoned beautifully. If you haven't tried it, it's totally worth going for it. I haven't met ANYONE that hasn't loved the "STEAK AND EVERYTHING" sandwich. Hot, juicy, filling, delicious. (If you're really into meat and have a big appetite, get the MONSTER size.)

We ate at The Italian Place for lunch this week and it was the unquestionability worst cheesesteak I have ever had! The steak was overcooked, dry, and seasoned with LOADS of pepper -- so much so it was all I could taste. There was barely any cheese on my sandwich, one slice at most. The bun was nothing special, just plain white bread. Overall the sandwich was a HUGE disappointment. After reading the positive reviews about The Italian Place on Yelp I had high hopes and sadly those hopes were SEVERELY crushed. I hate giving any place a bad review and a one star reating but this place deserves it. Sure there are other options on the menu but the The Italian Place clearly advertises that "we make cheesesteaks" and based on the other reviews that is clearly their speciality. Given that I will safely assert to the world at large that I will not be eating at the The Italian Place ever again.

The Italian Place has two things going against it. The first is its name. When I say, "The Italian Place," you think I'm talking about pizza, pasta, calzones and dudes named Vinny, Tony, Guido and Tony. It has none of the above. It's a sandwich shoppe. The second problem is that they have started advertising "cheesesteaks" for sale. These sandwiches are not cheesesteaks in the "Philly" sense that we all think of. They're actually "pepper steak" sandwiches and, although similar, they have differences. They are build on a different kind of bread. And they don't have as much cheese as your typical "Philly." If you go in expecting a) Italian food or b) a Philly cheesesteak, then chances are you'll be disappointed. If, however, you go in with the expectation of getting a kickass sandwich by any measure (other than the Philadelphia stick), then you will most likely be delighted. I have been eating at the original in Orem for well over 30 years now. The old place hasn't changed much and it doesn't need to! This new location in Lindon serves up the exact same menu, prepared the exact same way, in a much brighter and shinier environment. The decor is nice and comfy and they get your sammie out to you in a quick hurry. I'd give them 4 stars overall. But I'm kicking in the one extra for consistency and longevity.

The sandwich was great but the customer service was TERRIBLE. The sandwich is the only reason that I'm giving it two stars. When we walked in this kid at the register was talking to a female coworker and didn't acknowledge us as we were standing there, ready to order, until after probably 30 seconds had passed. When he finally asked us what we wanted he had an attitude that he was far too cool to be working there and that it was a major bother to be taking our order. After the horrible inconvenience of taking my order, he tells me my number and throws the ticket across the counter at me. The whole experience was quite unprofessional.

Good original Sandwiches. A utah valley staple. Good food that will satisfy you!

I think of this place as comfort food, but not great food or even particularly good examples of the type. But with extra cheese and meat, it hits the spot when it needs hitting. But no, this isn't east coast good.

Decent sandwiches, their biggest downside is that amount of time it takes to get your order

I go here for the Philly Cheesesteak. It's not the best I've had, not by a long shot, but the bread is pretty good, the meat is stuffed in there pretty fat and they are always piping hot. Not usually too long of a wait either. The few other items I've had off the menu, I wasn't so impressed with. But if youre stuck watching reruns on the Food Network all day and get this massive, perverse craving for a Philly, these guys will hook you up and they'll treat you right. I've not found a fingernail or a bandaid in any of my food thus far, so I'm going to consider that four star service. Plus this location has a drive through so you don't even have to change out of your underwear/pajamas to go get food. Trust me, I know this.

Love the Steak & Everything!! Even my wife (who's super picky) loves this place... Great lunch sandwich... Here's a tip, add Cream Cheese to the Steak & Everything -- you can't go wrong.

It's not ever day I'm in the mood for a whole lot of meat and cheese on a bun, but when I am, The Italian Place never disappoints. Personally, I don't go for the standard Philly Cheesesteak sandwich... my favorites from the menu are the Italian Delight (steak, cream cheese, marinara & mushrooms) and the Zeus (steak, pastrami, banana peppers & provolone). You can tell by the sound of them that they're not health food. But they sure taste good! Service is always pleasant, sandwiches are made to order, wait is not too long.
