Wow, where to start... Kathy is the best. She was very helpful and patient with us as we were driving into Kanab through the mountains and spotty cell service. As we arrived, she greeted us kindly and from that moment on was so hospitable. She gave us a great tour and history lesson of the house and land, has a fridge and pantry full of almost anything you could want to snack on, makes the most amazing, full course, delicious, healthy breakfast, and waits on you hand and foot. Its like staying at your grand moms house on the best day but maybe a little better. Internet is available although you'll hardly want to use it. The house is old and beautifully restored. There are antiques from the area everywhere. Everything was spotless clean. Expensive soaps and shampoos are awaiting you. The master bedroom is worth the little extra. It was huge. The bathroom was huge. Monster sized tub and shower. You will also get your own patio. There is a big parking lot in the back. A little cat will greet you if you walk around the house by the name of Pretty Girl. She is nice and not a bother. Also not allowed indoors. Kathy treats you like you're family. Like a southern hospitality in the Mid West Mountains. Cant really say enough about this place except that if you don't stay here, you're making a mistake. It was one of the highlights of my cross country trip and by far the nicest place i have ever stayed.
This is nothing but the absolute, most amazing Bed and Breakfast in the world. If you happen to visit Kanab, or just stop for one night, you have got to stay here. It is a spotless and beautiful Victorian house with approximately 6 rooms for guests. Extremely clean, great bath products, impeccable conditions, very 1800's Victorian decor and a great environment. There is breakfast served at 8am every morning. I'm talking about a wonderful, home-made breakfast that is delicious. You will not want to leave, ever! If u don't decide to stay here and choose a hotel instead, u are simply a fool.
My wife and I only stayed here one night, but since we did not have a lot to do that particular day of our traveling vacation we did spend a fair amount of time talking with the owners and a couple of the other guests staying there. Everyone had unique and interesting stories, some about Kanab and its history and some about different vacation spots. Ended up being a very memorable stay and the house itself is really full of history and our room had a very comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay, and that breakfast in the morning is not to be missed, really outstanding.

I always stay in Kanab on my way to Arizona from Montana. I usually stay somewhere cheap because I arrive late and leave early, but everything was booked, so I stayed here. I wish I had actually been on vacation because I would have loved to stay in this hotel longer. It's a small place, but you get excellent service, free wifi, a bicycle if you want to go on a ride through Kanab, and continental breakfast. The room was very clean, and very fun. Bright colors, comfortable bed, personal note on the pillow. The only reason I didn't give it a five was because of the price, it was a little expensive for what I was doing, but if you can afford it, stay there. It's really great!
Nice place, Good pricing. I grew up in Kanab and like coming back to visit. The beds are comfy, everything is clean. The pool is small but deep and cool. Great for cooling off in the hot summer weather. Quaint and cute.
I should have taken photo of bug I saw on my pillow. I squashed it and lots of blood inside of it. Not mosquito. Almost looked like photos of bed bugs I have seen... Hmmmm now I am checking out the bed. This happened in wee hrs. Need to mention it to management

Food was decent but I ordered a big red burger that was supposed to have bacon and ham on it and it didn't come with it. I was hungry so it didn't click for a few bites into it so I went back and told them of their mistake. Instead of apologizing and giving me a new correct burger they cooked some ham and bacon and gave it to me on a plate to put on my burger.... Better than nothing but kinda shitty service in my book. And the large fry was the same size as the medium.
Good burgers and friendly staff. Prices were good as well. I liked the atmosphere, reminded me of a place back home. Not fast food quality, but definitely no-frills dining. Would definitely go back!
We were passing through Kanab and decided to stop for lunch. The place was packed! There was one booth open so we sent the kids to sit and wait. We ordered our food and waited.... Another booth opened next to the first booth we had... So my parents went and sat. About 20 minutes after we ordered, our number was finally called! My dad & husband ordered the Big Red... It was decent sized. They liked it. My mom had the BLT. She said it was good. My kids had the ham & cheese dinner. They loved it. I ordered the fish n chips. They were a good size and were yummy! They were definitely real fish... None of that pressed processed junk! Good food! My dad is an old timer and thinks that the everything should come with a dill pickle spear and fry sauce should be free!

Great food here! I am from Chicago so I've had many shares of good Japanese/Asian cuisine. The food here is definitely on par to the ones found in Chicago. I had ordered the Chicken Curry and my gf ordered the Pork Katsu Curry. Both are amazingly good.
Had a great bowl of soup here. First visit but would definitely go back & try some more of the menu.
My review is strictly about the sushi, I didn't have anything else. We ordered 3 different types of rolls to try out and if we ended up liking them the whole family was going to eat here for dinner. Well we did not return. The sushi is basically balls of rice with the most scant amount of meat. The California roll was filled full with avocado, not even sure if there was actually crab inside. The cost of the rolls was average about $8 a piece, but for $24 I could have just rolled my own balls of sticky rice.

Parry Lodge Motor Hotel

Reviews:
We stayed in the Parry Lodge on the way through Kanab. Thanks to the reviews on Yelp, we decided to give it a try. We arrived after 10pm and we were greeted by a friendly staff member. He had our reservation and quickly gave us directions to our room. The lobby was a bit dated, but it had character. The same could be said of the room. It felt a bit dated, but it was clean an nicely made up. We had a king bed room and the mattress was a bit on the firm side, but I didn't have any trouble sleeping. We decided to try the breakfast buffet. There was plenty of good food. We got in there about 8:30. It looked like a couple of the items could have been rotated a bit sooner, but everything was tasty and the staff was very helpful. For $8 I got all the breakfast I could eat, plus a bit. It was a much more memorable experience than staying as some chain hotel. The price was right, the people were very nice and the place felt like history had been there and paid it a visit. I would stay there again.
My partner and I discovered food options in Kanab are a little limited in the mornings -- most places don't seem to open until 11 or later. Thankfully, we found Parry Lodge in our quest to find food open earlier in the day. I was a little hesitant to try this place considering it's an old-fashioned hotel/motel-ran restaurant -- but I also wasn't willing to go hungry for several hours until something else was open. From the street, Parry Lodge is very quaint looking and full of historic charm. The interior follows suit -- the dining area is large, quiet (ymmv, it was pretty slow around 10:30 when we arrived for breakfast), and filled with the kind of decor that made me reminisce about grandma's fashion sense, The service was prompt -- we were greeted right away. Our waitress -- an older lady (as most of the staff seemed to be), was very attentive and friendly. Everyone was polite and welcoming. To start things off, I had a hot chocolate, which came out with a dollop of whip cream and a pinch of rainbow sprinkles on top. The hot chocolate purist in me was a little alarmed and thrown off by this. The child in me practically did a cartwheel in joy -- you can put sprinkles in hot chocolate?! That's kind of magical. My (native-to-Seattle) partner had a coffee, which he described as 'average' and 'acceptable'. When it came to the food, I had the meat and cheese omelette with bacon and home fries (ie: cubed potatoes with onion, green, red, and yellow peppers). The omelette was perfectly cooked -- fluffy and filled with crisp bacon and smothered with REAL (!!) cheese. No American cheese squares here (yay!). The home fries were cooked well, soft, with crisp skins, but a little on the dry and bland side. Salt, pepper and ketchup helped. I think I'll go with hashbrowns next time. My partner had the eggs benedict, which he said was 'quite good', though he thinks the eggs were sunny side up -- not poached as they're traditionally supposed to be. Parry Lodge has other standard breakfast fare as well (pancakes, etc.) and even a breakfast buffet (ends at 10 am), so there's something for everyone. All in all, my partner has described Parry Lodge as the best breakfast you can probably get in the Kanab area, and I couldn't agree more. Worth trying and one of the better breakfast places we've been to on our road trip through UT.
Had the buffet. It was Mediocre. I wanted some salsa but the waitress never looked back at my table after I ordered & I was unable to get her attention.

Got into Kanab looking for a bite. Searched the web and read some reviews. Landed at Lotsa Motsa Pizza. Ordered a regular order of breadsticks and a large pepperoni with 5 sodas. The bill came to $27. Price was fair and the food was good. Lots of comments on the lunch buffet, wish I could give it a try. Maybe next time I'm in town, if there is a next time. Pretty far from Wisconsin!
This place does not deliver. When I asked the staff why their profile on Yelp denoted otherwise, they were rude and told me to "Call Pizza Hut". Good to know, Losta Pizza....good to know that you hate making money. Avoid the attitude. Get your delivery (and professional phone manners) elsewhere.
I liked everything about this place. We were staying in Kanab for a few days and needed some pizza for dinner. The restaurant was clean, the man who took our order was friendly and our pizza was big and tasty. The pizza crust wasn't too thin or too thick. Prices were extremely good and I will definitely be back.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I have tried in Colorado plateau area. They have Cantonese cooks but make good dishes for different types of Chinese food.
Good food. Miserable quantity in dinner bowl.
My husband and I just stopped for the night at the Sun & Sand, and were tired and more than ready for dinner. My parents had recommended a barbecue place, but neither of us wanted to drive any more than we already had, and Luo's was literally right next door. We had the Lucky Special (orange chicken and cashew chicken) with ham fried rice, wontons, egg rolls and fried shrimp, plus egg drop soup It was a little pricey for the two of us, but the food was really tasty. I wouldn't say it was as good as the Chinese food I grew up with in Washington state, but it was better than most Chinese restaurants at home in Tucson. We were the only people there and it was about 7. The owner was very sweet and chatty, which was nice. The waitress (her daughter?) kept our iced teas full and served our food quickly while it was still hot, fresh and yummy. I'd definitely recommend Luo's if you're in the area with a yen for Chinese.

Perfect for anytime of the day. If you only have one day in Kanab dont waste your time or money anywhere else. Food is good and the staff is Friendly.
This place is has decent food with decent price in the town of kanab. I would come here if I was craving comfort food. The waiter was very friendly and even told me if I ordered faster I could get the lunch prices. She was very helpful with helping me pick what I wanted as well. I ended up trying to Chicken Friend Steak because it was their number one item. I got it with pilaff and mash potatoes. I really enjoyed the potatoes and also the gravy. I am a small asian so I was able to eat half and then take half home. Overall I really enjoyed it and would come back.
We spent a night in Kanab and were looking for a place for a hearty breakfast the next morning before spending the day in Zion National Park. We stumbled upon this place and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was all excellent, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I got the Western omelette, which was pretty big on its own, and came with hash browns and two pancakes. All of that was about $8.50, I think. It all tasted really good and fresh. I definitely recommend this place for a yummy breakfast!

Nice early dinner on a rainy day in Kanab at this family style eatery. No waiting, good, friendly service. Had good Mushroom Swiss Burger with tasty fries and husband had French Dip on a yummy home baked hoagie roll and fries. Good apple pie a' la mode and chocolate cake for dessert! They serve breakfast all day too. Well worth a stop.
Eek!! Beware tourists! The food here sucks. I saw the reviews and thought "great a little diner with home made bread delish!" Um no. I got a veggie sandwhich and potato salad. Yuck that's hard to screw up and they did. My pops got an omelette which if you add anything like peppers or onion they add extra cha ching. So you are just getting the cheese and egg p.s. The server was super nice but forgot to check on us through out the meal we had to keep getting up to find her for of course... salt maybe pepper? Tabasco anything to give this food flavor please? Kanab is a little town so after this place we stuck with Wendy's, Subway and of course Mc Donald's. I wouldn't waste money on trying to hit a homerun on the food dept in this town.
Not impressed with the food We stayed one night in Kanab and choose here for dinner. We ordered the Country Fried Steak that was one of the worst I've had, including the gravy. The green beans tasted like they were in a pot of water all day. The service good and the only redeeming factor. I would most definitely try another place my next time through

Nedra’s Too

My bf and I stopped here for breakfast since it was the only place open at 9 am on a Sunday morning. The service was friendly, but our waitress tended to forget things, like my orange juice or that my bf wanted cream in his coffee. The chips and salsa (for breakfast??) were fresh and yummy, but the food was a bit meh. My bf had the breakfast enchilada which was uber cheesy/stringy and therefore quite greasy. I had the chorizo and eggs which were pretty good (not greasy), but the hashbrowns were white, fluffy and bland. Could you cook these a bit more? My stomach was queasy the rest of the day which was too bad because Nedra's is busy and the people are nice so I wanted it to be good. But it really wasn't.
STAY AWAY. Charged full price for uneaten steaks returned twice. First was intensely overcooked, second time raw & fridge-cold inside. "We do not give away food for free". When asked for manager were told "He can't come. He's too busy cooking". As to degree of cooking steaks - "everyone has a different idea of how these degrees should be decided".
Food was okay. Just curious...is the service fee (tip) supposed to be included in the bill? I was asked to pay 25% tips on top of my order for two people...or it's just a Utah thing...
