OK, so we recently moved from Vegas to Hurricane, Utah. While settling in we've been trying many of the local franchise restaurants (usual fare, mostly usual decent food and service) and also several of the mom-and-pop venues (mixed bag). A couple of days ago (with somewhat low expectations) we decide to step a bit out of the box and visit the Sky Mountain Golf Course a couple of miles from the house, and try the Sky Mountain Grill for lunch. OMG, what a view! OK, so it's really just a small snack bar with window service, and a limited menu, not a "full-service grill", but did I mention the view? Panoramic picture windows reveal miles of magnificent red rock vistas, with the distant Pine Mountain in the background. What a view! We stepped to the window and ordered the mundane sounding "cheese burger with fries" and a large drink, and settled into our seats (not the cheap stackable banquet ones) and enjoyed the view of duffers on the driving range, practice green, and the first tee box What fun! In reasonable time our food was delivered by the capable and affable proprietor, Tony, piled high on the plate, with a large stack of crispy fries (made to order) and a large, plump burger festooned with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and all the trimmings. Wow, this stuff looked good! One bite was all it took to confirm that this was some GREAT snack food chow. The fries were cooked to perfection, as was the burger (well done). We both remarked that this was a very pleasant surprise. And did I mention the view? If you're passing through Hurricane on the way to Zion, or wherever, FORGET the franchise boxes down on Highway 9/State Street. Vere off the beaten (and boring) path, drive to the incredibly scenic Sky Mountain Golf Course and gorge yourself on Tony's fare. You'll be very glad you did. Did I mention the view? Dean Herrington

The business model is interesting: They make your pizza; you take it home and bake it yourself. That means they can't cater to tourists or people staying at a local hotel -- people with their own ovens only. The pizza is really good, with all the traditional choices and healthy options, too. The sides (cheese bread, salads, and cookie dough) are good. The prices are good for the quantity and quality of the food. One item of interest is that the entire staff at this store seems to be hired from the Hurricane High School cheerleading squad.

We had dinner here this evening and really enjoyed our time. The service was good--the owners came out to the table, and the food was delicious! Initially we came by this morning to look for a breakfast place but they do NOT serve breakfast. We definitely recommend stopping by this unlikely treasure in a strip mall.
If you ate looking for a great American meal, this is it. Reasonable prices and pleasant owner.
There were six of us. Some had breakfast, some had lunch. All our dishes were fresh & delicious. Biscuits & bread were fresh. French fries, yummy. Service was very attentive. Highly recommend.

Great service. Food was great. Icecream was amazing as usual. Great view. Overall great experience. Awesome soda machine. I would definetly come again. Im here from SoCal on vacation, so im happy to have found this place.
Fast service, good food and Kayce (her name tag said she was in training) our cashier at the drive through window was very polite and efficient.
Somebody mentioned that they were going to DQ for dinner. I thought they were nuts until I tried the DQ burgers. They are great. Chargrilled flavor and a real beef taste. Very good and not expensive, my wife and I ate there and were filled for under $10. I can eat a lot too. Fries were good and fresh. Their building is brand new, service was great. Check it out.

Wow. Hunan City is neither Hunan nor a city. This Chinese place was as backwater as the host's teeth were rotten. My boyfriend and I ordered the "Lucky" dinner menu only to find that the "chicken" didn't taste legit. Hours later, a very unfortunate reality: food poisoning. I won't even go into the details of how our service was bad or how it was inexcusable that we got old, infected, pseudo-meat as entrees. The fact is: this place is not sanitary. For the best in Chinese and buffet, head up to Cedar City's Hong Kong Buffet and put down ten bucks for some solid and parasite-free chow. AVOID HUNAN AT ALL COSTS. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
love this restaurant my husband and I both go often must try
First off, the food was good, better then I expected based off the first 10 minutes of our visit. We almost left because: 1. We weren't asked what we wanted to drink for this span of time. It was 110 degrees and we were damn thirsty. 2. When asked if we wanted refills on our water, we said yes, and got sprite back. Gross. Good luck chasing the waitress down to remedy this. 3. Ham fried rice. It was tasty, but I have to know... Regional thing? In New England it's pork fried rice. This was little bits of pink ham. Like I said though, meals were good. Husband got sesame chicken, pleased with it. I got cashew broccoli, loved it!! On food alone I'd give it a 4.

Both my wife and I had a Burrango with medium spicey sauce. They were not spicy and were luke warm. Tasteless would best describe the meal. Almost returned the meals to be reheated but by then the line was too long. Would not return.
Similar to cafe rio but good quick food!
A simple, straightforward menu (enchiladas, salads, wet burritos, and quesadillas), made to order by a friendly staff. Good, fresh food at reasonable prices. One of the best food choices (and the only good Mexican option) in Hurricane.

McDonald’s

Of all the McDonalds dining establishments that I have had the fortunate opportunity to patronize, McDonalds of Hurricane, Utah is roughly equal to the rest. The food here was virtually indistinguishable from that of any other McDonalds at which I have been a guest. However, the density of extra-terrestrial entities seems to be even greater than most McD's. I have suspicions that this is the mothership due to its astounding average-ness. The cashier with tentacles was quite helpful & lovely if you ever get the chance to chat with her.
It's one of the very few national chains in this small town of Hurricane. A joint business with 7-Eleven. And I think the latter has better coffee (plus a variety of International Delight creamers, some I haven't even seen offered in Colorado!) The wifi is supposed to be free but old isn't work for me :(
Out of all the McDonald's in Washington county, this one is the worst! The drive thru cashiers are RUDE! They like to forget things on your order too. And the last time we went, our whole family got the shits! We will NEVER go to this location again!

Went in to get 5 hot n' ready pizzas and had to wait 20 minutes because they were out! Seriously.... According to the commercials, it doesn't matter what time a day it is, you are supposed to be able to get in and out quickly with the hot n' ready pizzas. They were super greasy too. I used two napkins on each slice of pizza. Eew! I guess if you like greasy pizza, go for it. Otherwise, I recommend Dominos or Papa Murphy's down the street!
