Really good Chinese food consistently! I've eaten here a lot one they never let me down. Lots of great choices, great flavor, great quality, decent enough prices! Can't beat it for a late night Chinese food craving!!!

We love this little place. It's tucked back behind pizza pie cafe in highland. Our favorite thing are the cream cheese wontons, they are boss. We gave it 4 stars just because while all their food is prepared very fresh and not all dried out like most places, a couple of the dishes have been lacking in bold flavor. We love it!

These guys have a great menu, and their food is a welcome alternative to all of the terrible pizza joints in the area. When we are in the area and we want take-out, China Wok is always the first choice.

We had an enjoyable meal last night at China Wok (after seeing the hour-long line at Pizza Pie Cafe next door). We got the family meal that included orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and Lo Mein. I was impressed with the chicken and the beef, but the Lo Mein fell a little flat for me. Good service, no major complaints.

China Wok is one of the few restaurants in the Highland/Alpine area, so we go here occasionally when we don't feel like driving farther. The food is consistently pretty good, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The staff is nice, and I like having friendly places near home.

I usually use Yelp to shout about great finds, but we had such a poor experience here I think I'm duty bound to warn folks to avoid China Wok. The packaged sauces couldn't liven up the gristly meats. Overcooked spring rolls dripping with oil were tasteless. The place was cold (temperature and service-wise). Don't bother.

I could not disagree more with Paul's review on this site. I am a regular at China Wok in Highland. The food is consistently creative and flavorful, and owner-operators Jing and Bill are always warm and gracious. I encourage Paul and everyone else to give China Wok another try. Be sure to try the cherry chicken, the Coconut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef and House Special Moo Shu.

Dear China Wok, You were open past 9pm on July 4th. You win. You win our business and undying love. Yes you are forced to Whitefy your foods and that results in strange additions like carrots in everything and a noticeable absence of any sort of vegetable that is actually Asian (Ong choy, bok choy, choi sum, etc.) but we still enjoyed your food. The sweet and sour shrimp was excellent, mixed vegetable was excellent, egg rolls were excellent, mapo tofu was bizarre (But we'll assume this was super extra White-ified and forgive you for this) and my children loved the plain noodles. So thank you. Thank you for feeding this hungry half-Asian family in Lehi on the fourth of July. If you were in Hawaii I'd give you three stars, but for Utah I'll give you four. Sincerely, Angela

We went in for lunch and found it to be quick, tasty and affordable! Great option for the Highland/Alpine area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
