Came in from the cold to smiling faces, great food and an ambiance that really made me feel welcomed. Kinda like what I would imagine a neighborhood bar should feel like. Even thought the place was packed the service was incredible, on time and very courteous. I will be a frequent patron.

Just visited the new HERRIMAN location. Within the first 10 minutes of sitting down. We were met by two different members of the wait staff the first rudely asking if we had plans on eating or hanging out, once drink orders had been placed we were shaken down for ID's like criminals rather than patrons. ID's were scanned but drinks were served before they were returned so it was more about protecting the business rather than patrons. From what could be assessed the staff was not even sure what beer they had on tap as opposed to bottles, and cocktails well it doesn't take any skill when the drinks are metered out. Having all your drinks measured out guarantees that a skilled bartender is not required. Food took longer to come out than waiting in line at Disneyland. When it did finally come out, it was delivered by surprise, surprise waitress number 3 who luckily stumbled upon us in a guessing game of who's food is this. Anyone familiar with John Taffer would know exactly what his response to "pub and grub" would be. This experience only solidified why everyone thinks they should open a restaurant but probably shouldn't. I will not return or recommend my worst enemy for a visit.

My husband and I moved to the Herriman area recently and decided to do some looking around at the different restaurant options that weren't massive chains that serve up mediocre food. We decided on Bout Time for lunch one day and were really pleased with the results. The ambiance is entirely sports bar, boasting over ten televisions playing different events, with a full bar, and a seat yourself dining space. Service was good but very casual, but having been in different sports bars, that's quite common, so I wasn't bothered by it; she took our orders quickly and got our food out fast in a friendly manner. We shared the Triple Dip appetizer (tortilla chips with guacamole, queso, and a jalapeno ranch dipping sauce), and it was REALLY good - that alone would be worth a return visit for us. The guacamole was made in house and had great flavor, the queso was the perfect consistency and clearly did not come out of a jar, and the jalapeno ranch had just the right amount of kick to it. My husband ordered the teriyaki burger, and he said it rivaled the Banzai Burger (his most favorite burger in the entire world), and I ordered the California Burger, which had avocado, swiss cheese, and sprouts on it. The burger buns are soft and bakery-style, and the burgers were cooked perfectly. They also have awesome fries and this fry sauce that's probably the best we've had. We'll definitely return!

We stopped in to pick up food and we had to look at the menu since we'd never been there but after we decided we had to wait a long time before we could get someone to take our order. Our food than took forever and we just ordered a handful of appetizers. In total just to order to go food we were there almost an hour. We got home and threw out at least half the food. Freezer aisle food is better than what we got. Take the extra time and drive down to buffalo wild wings.

While I understand Bout Time might not be for everyone, it's important to review objectively and that is what I'm going to do here. I understand Bout Time might not be for everyone, but people need to remember this is not a gastro pub , nor is it a micro brewery. It's a sport bar chain, plain and simple. If you are looking for the other things, try visiting one instead! As a sports bar it is inherently full of TV's and noisy, especially if there is a game or event on, that's part of why sports bars exist. While a small location when compared to others it's a pleasant atmosphere and a fun place to come and relax. I've been here several times and never had anything but good service. Michelle who is the main server on weekends does a great job, is very friendly, and does a decent job staying on top of things. I won't deny I do feel sometimes they are somewhat understaffed, and can be slow with food, but never had an issue getting beverages in a quick fashion and they are great at making sure refill orders are in with time to spare. The draft beers selection is what you would expect from a sports bar and really is no better or worse than any of the similar competing chains, so certainly no complaints on this front. I admit the food could be better, but again, this is not what they are about. In general when I go, I just get appetizers. They are big portions and there are actually some pretty decent items in that part of the menu which are perfect finger food to enjoy along with your beverages. You just have to find your favorites, I have a few. Its Herriman location is very convenient for me who lives close by on the East side of Riverton and we don't have a lot of options for bars in this part of the valley so having this here is very welcome. On a final note, the 3.2% draft beers are Utah law. However that is by weight which is the same as 4% ABV (by volume) which is more generally the amount that manufacturers and restaurants/bars state on beers so in reality it's not quite as weak compared to full strength beers as you might think. However, I think knocking a business for something it cannot control due to local regulations is a little unfair. I appreciate everyone is entitled to an opinion so I'm not trying to judge anyone, I just prefer to work with facts. If you live in the area and enjoy sports bar atmosphere give it a try, you might just like it!

I love this place. We have always had great service and food. It's a fun close place to watch a game. My only request is that you have a bloody Mary bar on Sunday mornings.

Basically the food is pretty good... but the staff sucks...they don't attend to customers very well at all. If you have an hour it's not a bad place to hang out, but don't go there expecting to actually be "waited" on.

Went here for a birthday party where the family side had been rented out for the party. Fun times with karaoke! I had no idea that they had karaoke, but they do. The food was pretty standard bar food, but there were some healthier options as well. It is in a rather small area, but I did like that the family side was very separate from the bar side.

Pisswater Palace Calling yourself a pub and at the same time, only serving really weak beer on tap sounds like an oxymoron to me. I've been to Bout Time a few times now and vowed never again to go there. Their beer is really really weak. Turns out you can actually get a "full strength" beer, as they put it, but from what I understand they go to the State liquor store and buy it there. Really? All the draft beers (on tap) are 3.2% or less. The reason I go to a pub is in part due to being able to get good draft beer. I can drink bottled beer at home, at a fraction of the price. When I'm in a pub I want draft beer. Now I know it can be argued that it's not Bout Time's fault, this is about Utah's licensing laws. However there are pubs in Utah that sell good beer on draft and normal strengths, such as Hoppers & Wingnuts for example. So in reality it is as simple as this, if you want a decent draft beer, don't go to Bout Time... I have to say I also, do not like the screens everywhere and the load music format either. It's hard to have a conversation... If you suffer from ADHD and can't tell a crap beer from "the real mccoy", you'll probably love this place... Oh, and Fish and Chips, served not with French Fries but with actual chips (American Chips - English Crips), you are kidding right, this is some kind of a joke? Update: So I stand corrected,,, a little. As I understand it, due to the state laws no pub in Utah can serve greater than 3.2%. However this is where things get tricky. They can actually serve up to 4% by volume. This does not mean they have to. There is nothing stopping them serving beers with a lower alcoholic content. My subjective experience is that the draft beers in "Bout Time" are significantly weaker that other pubs and brew houses I have been to in the Salt Lake valley. They taste to me as if they have been watered down. Now I admit that is a subjective opinion as I have not actually measured them. However I have been there several times and every time, it seems to me that very very weak draft beer is the standard. I admit I could be wrong, however that is my opinion. The beers in About Time are crap. "if you want a decent draft beer, don't go to Bout Time..."

This place has the potential to be a great place for a drink or a meal but, it falls short. First of all the seating is broken up into two areas, first would be seating at the bar which is limited to about 10 seats which seem to hold the regulars who must live their from opening to closing. The second area is at tall table which are not the problem until you wish to be served. Several times I've gone here only to wait on a single bartender/server which won't notice anyone other than those at the bar. The food isn't bad but be prepared for very large portions.

Mediocre food. Steak was terribly over-salted; fries on the greasy side. Salad wasn't fresh. Nachos came out impressive looking, but the beef was dry, and the cheese was a valveeda type, and topped with the same un-fresh lettuce. In summary, the food was not good. Atmosphere although was comfortable and this place would be a good option to watch a game.

It was a small place- hard to play pool. Good sporting atmosphere. I got a chicken taco salad thing with southwestern ranch and it was really good. I would recommend this place for a quick bite with some friends.

Love it! What a great place to watch a game and get some food. One side is a pub type atmosphere and the other side has only tables for those who prefer not to be within sight of the bar. Both sides have tons of tv's. I had the French dip pizza and it was great. Just what you'd think: cheesy pizza with tasty sliced beef on it and an au jus for dipping. This dish is made for a place like this and definitely worth the trip to try. I also had the fried pickles. The pickles were very tasty, the frying did not leave them greasy, and the sauce that comes with it was good. I was there for several hours with friends and it is a great atmosphere for talking - not too loud or soft.

I've been to every one of this chain's locations and they're all mediocre. They have good locations though, and that's why you end up here. If you can find another place to grab a drink, food, and watch some basketball in Herriman please let me know. The service is OK, the food is typical bar fare, on the boarder of almost not being good anymore. I had the chicken cordon bleu sandwich and the roll they put it on just sucked. I don't know, maybe I'm a pretentious fool and that's why I'm 28 and not married. Thanks mom.

Came in at around six on a Wednesday and it was about half full but the waitress was extremely friendly and very fast. The food came out within about 10 minutes. The nachos were pretty awful and the steak salad was just okay. The atmosphere was pretty nice but the food seemed to be just okay.

Been here an hour and 45 and managed ONE beer out of our server. Took forever to get food and still waiting for more drinks. And were a table of 7. Its kind of a joke here! Servers are taking orders, making drinks and cleaning all while I wait to spend money! I guess this place is making so much damn money they don't care?!? Wait, the place is half full right now... figures!

This is a fun close place to grab a drink and some mediocre food. Tonight we sat for 15 minutes before the waitress even liked at us. She didn't look lime she cats if we were there or not. He first question was if we wanted anything. Isn't that why people go on to the place?

This place has so much potential, but sadly it falls short. I was so excited when it opened as there were not a lot of bars close by to where I live. Sadly, the service is bad - mainly because they never have enough staff. I came here a few times three years ago and waited over an hour for food and it wasn't that busy. I vowed not to come back. I decided after two years to try again. There was one bartender and one server serving over 80 people. Waited 30 minutes before even seeing a server. Finally got some drinks. Asked each server separately for a glass of water too and never saw it. Spend less money on wall memorabilia and hire some workers. Not coming here again.

Very fun bar on most nights after 9! I do agree with other reviews, I can't stand having a beer while kids are sitting around! Aside from that, good place plenty of tv's and great bar staff ! Food is "bar food" but what ya expect!

After several months, I finally tried out Bout Time. I'd been reluctant too, based off of judging the book by it's cover. However, considering that we are desperate to have new restaurants in the area, I eventually had to give it a shot. Unfortunately, it's (yet) another dud. I walk in and am ignored for the first couple of minutes by the bartender, who was chatting with a friend. Her willingness to help didn't really improve. She was cordial but not friendly, and gave the distinct impression that she really couldn't be bothered to provide attentive, friendly service. Slow to take my order, couldn't hardly be bothered to check on it. Had someone else (eventually) bring it out. There were only a dozen people in the place. I had one of the sandwiches. $10 can buy a really great sandwich anywhere in this valley. Unfortunately, at Bout Time, $10 gets you a really poor club. Really sub-par in every way, quality, taste, texture. Enormous size was it's only redeeming value, if you think that's a redeeming value. I won't be eating there again. Unfortunately, the service left such a poor impression, I won't be drinking there either. It's a shame, because it is so close. I'll continue to drive farther for better options.

Great place to watch football, but with a full liquor license, I don't understand why there are kids playing on the pool table..making it hard to enjoy a beer with a 10yr old trying to make a corner shot. And while the waitress is cute, please attend to the customers as much as the electronic game on the bar..Good food though, & extensive menu..sans the kids, I would go back.
