From Zion to Bryce not many options so Adobe was a nice surprise. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly service, good prices and the food was enjoyable. The Navajo taco and the chimichanga were enormous. Could have used some more spices though.

The food was only topped by the service. Stopped in just before 8pm to grab a bite and some coffee on the drive back to Zion from Bryce. We ordered the chicken tenders (which were perfectly cooked, not too greasy, and well-battered) and an "ambush" burger, which was very delicious, large, and a steal at its price. We finished the evening by sharing a slice of yummy blueberry pie. What really topped things off was the service. We didn't realize they were closing until well into our meal (the restaurant was full when we walked in and we were sat next to a family that just arrived as well). They never rushed us and were super friendly. We felt bad about staying so far past closing, but they were still super helpful.

Loved this place! The chips and salsa were good and freshly made. The Mexican food was very good. Loved the fact that they also had sandwiches and burgers for those who did not want Mexican. They also had a children's menu.

They were out of chipotle cream cheese for a turkey wrap, but I tried a turkey hoagie that was fresh and delicious. They remembered not to add tomato or onion as I requested. Yummy angus burger with blue cheese crumbles. Their fries and dinner salad are good too. They had eight kinds of ice cream.

Driving through from Zion, we happened to stop here... And we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent food and excellent service. We had the chimichanga and chicken enchiladas and both were among the best we've ever had - and we are from California where there's Mexican food around every corner. Our food came out very quickly, and our waiter was friendly and helpful. They also have awesome espresso drinks which is a huge plus for this long drive! We will gladly return here every time we visit Zion/Bryce.

Stopped by last weekend and had an excellent meal. I ordered the portobello mushroom fajitas. Was an excellent vegetarian option and a huge portion. I look forward to going back.

Great food and service on the way back from Bryce to Zion. Avoid the options in and around Bryce, stick to Hatch. Chimichanga was awesome!

This place is a little gem. Great food, service and prices. If I ever find myself driving through again, I will definitely stop. I highly recommend it.

Oooo yah, freshly made chips & delicious salsa. For my lunch, I had the bean and cheese burrito, with rice and beans. Fresh ingredients, tasted great.

3.5 Stars. With limited options in the small town of Hatch, I decided this would be a good spot to try because the parking had a lot of cars in it. Walking in we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. Inside was clean and the decor was nice. The menu offered a variety of American and Mexican dishes. Priced at $3.99 I ordered some chips and salsa to start. The chips tasted fantastic. The salsa had a very faint hint of heat and was thick and chunky, but I didn't care for the flavor much. It honestly tasted like they just dumped a can of seasoned tomatoes in a bowl. I wouldn't order it again personally. For my lunch I had a "Navajo Taco" priced at $9.99 that was a warm fried bread with chili, lettuce, shredded cheese, tomato, onion and sour cream. I was very impressed with the size of it when our server brought it out to me! Sometimes Navajo or Indian Tacos have either chili or ground beef just depending on where you get it. I liked that this one had chili and it was hearty and tasted good. The whole dish had great flavor, but the fry bread wasn't thick enough which was a bummer. I certainly didn't leave hungry! Our server was very nice and took great care of us. I can see stopping here again sometime in the future to try other menu items. They do have outdoor seating with a decent amount of tables and if you want to use the bathroom they have them on the side of the building near the parking lot.

On our way from Zion to Bryce, my wife and I were looking for someplace for lunch. Not too many choices on route 9 or 89. Driving through Hatch we spotted Cafe Adobe. Not much to look at, but a great choice. The burgers were great. The server was very pleasant. I recommend this place completely.

Stopped in on the way from Zion to Bryce Canyon and was pleasantly surprised. I feel most of the times these restaurants usually end up being tourist traps since they're the only thing for miles but this place was worth the visit. I got the open face Chili Size burger and it was awesome! Great chili, superior quality meat, and fresh onions, tomatoes and cheese generously sprinkled on top. The fries were alright, and the chicken basket my friends got was good, but not great. If you stop in, just stick to the burgers. My girlfriend got a burger with veggies stacked high and she loved it as well. I wish it was a little less expensive, but I can't complain considering how satisfied I was with my meal. The wait was long, but it's excusable considering how many people arrived at the same time as us. The kitchens small and can only handle so many people. Definitely make it a stop on your trip.

Adobe Cafe is the name. It is in a town on Hwy 89 that most people blow through in 1 minute. Stopping at the Adobe Café is a really good idea. Very welcoming owners and staff. Outdoor and indoor dining. They have a Mexican section of the menu, but it was the burger section that caught our attention. HALF POUND BLACK ANGUS burgers will lots of stuff on them for about $10. Holy cow!!!! Check the photo. Most definitely recommended if you are near Bryce Canyon NP.

Decent food for a small town. The chips and salsa weren't very good (salsa anyway) and the salsa didn't taste homemade. I'm always funny about places that charge for chips and salsa to begun with but when you pay for it and it doesn't taste good it sucks. I noticed they had a pastrami sandwich on the menu but it had a bunch if stuff in it I didn't want so the server said they could make whatever I wanted as long as they had the ingredients. I told her a hot pastrami sandwich with swiss cheese and mustard on a french type roll would be great. She said it wouldn't be a problem and I appreciated her making my order custom. The sandwich had a fair amount of pastrami and the cook wasn't shy with the cheese. It tasted great. The fries were average. The server brought me the check but you pay at the front register. They have ice cream by the scoop for sale right next to the register. Restrooms are outside.

We stopped after a long day of hiking Bryce and ATV riding. Our restaurant choices have been hit and miss during our time in Utah, but this place is great! Delicious burgers! Portion sizes are good and won't burn a hole in your wallet. The people are very friendly. I highly recommend stopping for a bite.

TIP: Stop here BEFORE going to Bryce Canyon. Prices will triple and quality will plummet as you travel any further! PRO: very good quality ameri-mex, well above chain restaurant quality CON: simple Diner atmosphere.

If Traveling between Zion and Bryce, this is a MUST stop! The adobe chicken sandwich is amazing, and the vegetarian sandwich they have is delicious, as well! Super friendly service, too! Loved this place!

Slowest service ever. And they were out of black beans but didn't bother to tell us...just gave us re fried beans instead. Food for my family came out slowly, one at a time. Waitress kept forgetting things. Food was average.

We stopped at the Thunderbird Lodge Cafe (Home of "Ho-Made Pies" can you believe that?), but they were very crowded and we did not want to wait 45 minutes for lunch. What a lucky break for us!!! We had a hamburger and a Turkey sandwich - both were great. The blue cheese and bacon burger was wonderful. Nice bun and the meat was perfect. It is huge. My wife's turkey sandwich was also very good. Excellent turkey, nice bread and also huge. We would go back if we could

Worth the stop. Good enchilada and Chile rellenos. I will be back to try one of their many sandwiches. Very reasonable $11.

Adobe is fabulous. Especially for the location. If you're outside of Panguitch, Bryce, that area, or on your way to Zion, this place is so prime! I had some chicken burger concoction with guac, cheese, chiles, and the list continues. The burgers are HUGE! Other half had the fajita salad, fabulous as well. If I ever get back to the area, which is also a must, I'll stop by Adobe. It's that good. Thanks for listening!!!

If you have ever been in this area (between Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park), you know that places to eat are pretty few and far between. Someone recommended Cafe Adobe to me, so I gave it a try. I was so pleasantly surprised. It has fantastic Mexican food (which my friend had and said was delicious), plus huge, stacked sandwiches, and amazing-looking hamburgers (being a vegetarian, I didn't try one - but they looked good). It is a low-key place with warm, friendly service (our server was so great!). I had a meatless sandwich that was huge and it came with the best French fries I have ever had! My friend had a Mexican dish that was equally as delicious. If you are speeding down the road, you will miss the place. Coming from Bryce, look for it on the left and go in for a reasonably-priced, delicious meal. You will come out full and satisfied!

3.5 stars Reasonably priced, and the portions are HUGE. Service was very welcoming and friendly. My husband and I were passing through the area after camping in Zion and we stopped in at the Adobe Cafe for lunch, as there were few other options. As others have mentioned, their menu skews Southwest, with tacos, Southwest-themed sandwiches, and burgers. My chicken sandwich wasn't as seasoned or flavorful as I had hoped (considering it was listed as being spicy?), but the chicken was very tender and I'm not kidding when I say they put half of a chicken on that kaiser roll. The fries here are excellent though - the waitress said they were beer battered. I wish we had an opportunity to sit outside but the wind gusts in the area were insane that day! Overall the bill was what you would expect given the location, but again they are ridiculously generous with their portions. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

We liked it so much that we came back twice in the same day. The pastrami sandwich was particularly good. State law in Utah requires cooking hamburgers to some overcooked temperature so my blue cheese burger was as good as it could be; big too since it was a half pound of meat. The fries are delicious. When we were there for dinner I thought the place wasn't as crowded as it should be given how good the food was; I guess it is because they don't have a license for beer or wine.

Stopped for a quick bite and was presented a very deluxe cheeseburger -- a solid 8 on a ten point scale. My wife had the Navajo Taco and reported it a resounding success. Highly recommended1

Southwest (and a bit of Italian) flavor. All food is prepared fresh There can be a bit of a wait if they are busy. Great Burgers and Salads. Everything we tried was super. Really good food and friendly, pleasant service. Can dine outside. I believe the correct name is Cafe Adobe **Near Bryce Canyon **No liquor. **Closed in the Winter

Living in Panguitch, only 15 miles away, it is a true treat when we go to Adobe Cafe. Great service, great food and always a good time. A fun night is going to dinner at the Adobe and then a beautiful drive through Red Canyon. I think it is a must if coming to Southern Utah.

This place has good dishes but a little bit expensive given the location in the middle of nowhere. Entrees $10-15. They have southwest style menu with sections for mexican, sandwich, burgers, salads, and dinner entrees all for $10-15. Really big portions.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
