We love Yelp because of places like The Golden Spike! Driving north on I-15 one feels doomed to eat at McDonalds or the like. Then enters (super hero music in the background) YELP to the rescue. A five minute drive off the freeway sits a little mom & pop burger joint with fantastic burgers. We tried the Golden Spike - the king of all burgers: with bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onion rings, and avocado. (Oh and all the other burger fixings). We also ordered the California burger- like the golden spike minus the mushrooms and onion ring. They are fantastic! The burger tastes like real meat, the bacon thick and crispy & I'm fairly certain there was a full half of avocado on each burger! The fries are thick & good- when I come back I will just ask them to cook mine for an extra minute as they were just a little under cooked. My last tip? Don't think this is a burger you can eat while driving. It is a two fisted, jaw dislocating piece of heaven to be enjoyed.

The husband goes gaga for the golden spike burger, which is topped with an onion ring and avocado. A pricy combo at over $9, but we like it enough that we keep coming back! They make a killer little grilled cheese, too! The fries are utter perfection, something I don't claim lightly! And the fry sauce! Two adults and 3 ankle biters eat for less than $20. Great service, pretty tidy and darn tasty. What more could you ask for?

This is a small town, clean, diner with a mix of fried food, burgers, gyros and souvlaki (??) and a couple salads. My husband had a burger he was really happy with. The fries and fry sauce were both good. Friendly and fast. Reasonably priced. Good choice of kids meals at $3.99. Recommended.

This was worth the yelp search and 2 mile drive from the freeway. I had a double bacon cheese burger. It was simple and delicious. The fries great also. It's getting my five stars because it was so much better then fast food.

I had the Pastrami Burger and onion rings. I really enjoyed them both. The burger was cooked well and the pastrami was flavorful. The ring had a good batter and fry. Would eat there again.
