If you want authentic Mexican fast food, you've found it. This place is fabulous! They have a drive though, and a nice salsa bar. The food is good quality and the portions are huge. Their prices are very affordable and the service is good. What more can you ask for? Nada!

So I stopped here for two reasons, the novelty of the name and I was told by a friend to give it a try. I rolled through the drive thru about mid-day, it was not busy and they have a large menu so I took my time figuring out what I wanted. I just couldn't decide since everything sounded so good, but the girl who i placed the order with was very friendly and give me suggestions. I ended up with the mini carne asada taco's. (Like street taco's.) Oh my goodness.....I was pleasantly surprised with this little meal. The carne meat was seasoned to perfection, and with the fresh lime slice added to the flavor knocking my socks off. If you are hungry and driving through Beaver, make the stop at the Beaver Taco Shop. It's worth your time and your tummy will thank you!

High quality and tasty. I had fish tacos, which were the perfect size. Clean, good atmosphere. A good place to stop on a road trip.

Good place to stop for lunch. Carne assada and carnitas tacos were pretty good. Kids enjoyed the cheese quesadilla with the pina colada drink. Definitely better than going to the junk fast food burger places nearby.

We stopped by on our way to salt lake. Being from Arizona, my standards for taco shops are pretty high. This was a pretty good place. Inexpensive with good adobada and carne asada. Everything is a little too soggy, but it's much better than Taco Bell or deal taco.

This is your Southern CA taco shop in Beaver UT. It was so good we stopped on the way to CO and on the way back. This place is legit. Salsa bar with hot carrots. I had the carne asada burrito. It had carne asada, guacamole, and pico. No rice or beans or other stuff. The refried beans are the real deal. My brother had the taco salad and rolled tacos, his wife had the chile relleno and fish tacos. Everything was great. Will be back for sure if we drive through Beaver again.

Great place to stop on the way to Salt Lake. Very clean, staff friendly and food is delicious. Homemade crispy taco shells. Just note that the name is Beaver Taco not Taco Shop. Highly recommended! It's right off the freeway so very convenient too!

This place is a pretty good little roadside stop along I-15 in Beaver. We stopped in the parking area across the street to stretch after a long period of driving, and my wife said she wanted some Mexican food. We went over and tried this place out. My wife got the chicken taco salad, I got the kids quesadilla with a churro for my little one, and When I asked the fellow behind the counter what he liked, he said, without hesitation, the carne asada chimichanga, so I got it. Everything was fresh, and it was served up so fast I didn't even have the lid on my drink by the time it was on the counter!.We ate in the RV, and it was very tasty, filling and we were all very pleased. If I am ever through Beaver again, I will certainly stop, and I will get a T-shirt next time as well.

Very tasty food, not your standard taco bell fare. Friendly folks too. This will be a regular stop on my road trips.

Good salsa and GREAT tacos! If your familiar with this area, you know there's not many choices. This could have been an epic fail, but it was really good food and relatively fast service. We'll stop again when we have the chance. Cash only, they don't accept credit cards. For 2 dinners and chips and salsa, our bill was under $25. Not too bad!

  • Taylor M.

Worst fast food I've ever had. I've never had a taco explode with water while eating it. The burrito was also filled with water. Tasteless and messy. Took forever to get the food, haven't yet shown signs of food poisoning, so that's good. Couldn't finish the food because it fell apart so bad.

  • Mike B.

Good (not great) mexican fast-casual food. Had the chile rellenos which were quite enjoyable. All my girls (3 of them) enjoyed their meals. They have a salsa bar with three salsas. The medium was excellent. Prices were good (everything $8 or less). They do take credit cards.

This place is quite the mystery. We stumbled across it looking for somewhere to eat on our way through Beaver. It's really like something out of X-files or something, it's just missing the alien, but who knows... Anyway, we were driving along main and saw this dark building at around 7:30PM the night before Thanksgiving. It looked like there was no one inside: we couldn't see a name for the place nor an OPEN sign, or really any light that didn't just look like security lights. Bad advertising folks. We did find the name on the receipt - Roberto's. But otherwise I wouldn't have any idea. So we decided it couldn't hurt to drive up and see if anyone answered on the drive thru..."Hello?" No answer....well, let's just look for a minute..."Order when you're ready." Ha, OK. I chose a vegetarian burrito and fish taco. My partner some combination with a chicken burrito and chicken taco. We pulled up to the drive thru window and again it seemed like the building was void of all life. Not five seconds later a smiling curly haired woman walked up to the window and took our payment, smiling while our dogs freaked out (the drive thru is a new experience for them). She disappeared again for a few minutes and returned with our food. Note: the drive thru window literally has a narrow sidewalk separating you from it. Again, really poor design here; you'll have to step out of the car, more likely than not, unless you've got the Stretch Armstrong genes, to pay and gather your order. The food was pretty good. There was a kind of weird taste at first with my burrito, but nothing alarming. Overall I liked what they whipped up. Maybe I have an alien growing inside my stomach now. Who knows. I'll keep you posted. If I find myself looking for food again in Beaver, I'd give them another chance, mostly because everything else is a chain or doesn't have a drive thru.

Great place in Beaver for lunch. Good size burritos and salsa bar. Clean, fast and friendly! Defiantly be going back on our way thu town. Cant vouch for the meat...We had the veggie burrito and chile relleno burritos and both were great! Super good salsa as well.

  • Cheryl S.

Very good, fresh-tasting. Lots of choices, including vegetarian and fish. Will definitely stop there again. It's set a bit back off the road, sort of behind a gas station, and the sign on the building faces south, rather than west towards the road, so it's easy to miss - but it's across the street from a Burger King. South end of Main Street, just off the freeway exit (109?).

On road trips I usually just stop at the DQ or Bk but I was really craving some Mexican Food and this place did not disappoint. I ordered a carnitas torta and it was delicious! Carnitas were almost as good as my mom's and that is saying a lot. This will definitely be the new go to while in Beaver

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
