As with any restaurant located at a ski resort, amusement park or any other place where unprepared tourists congregate, the food at the Albion Grill is grossly overpriced and leaves much to be desired. However, we suck it up and pay and eat anyway because we're on vacation and were too lazy to make our own sandwiches this morning. The Albion Grill is (I believe) the only restaurant located at the Alta base. All the other restaurants are located mid-mountain. They have your typical cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, heat lamp warmed pizza, deli sandwiches and cookies in a cafeteria style setting. The first day we got a hamburger, 2 cheeseburgers, 1 fries, chicken fingers with fries, and 1 beer for a grand total of.... $40.55! The food really is actually pretty edible. In fact there was a guy there who purchased 2 huge bags of granola, saying it was the best granola EVER and that he was going to send it to his kids. I also have to say the cashier lady was very nice. My dad gave me $40 to go buy the food and when I was 55 cents short she borrowed it out of the tip jar. Thank you cashier lady for not making me run back outside awkwardly in my ski boots to get the rest!

I prefer the spectacular view over at Alf's, but Albion Grill is conveniently located at the base of the Sunnyside Lift and is close to some other stuff (bootfitter) in the Albion Day Lodge that makes it a place I sometimes stop for a huge glass of water to replace everything I've breathed out while out on the mountain skiing. These days, they charge you for the cup to put your water in, but at least it's a type of plastic that can be composted. In one corner, you'll find Peak Photo.

The smell of the grill lures you inside to enjoy some warm comfort food during a day of skiing. I had the Swiss burger and really enjoyed it. Simple a bit old fashioned place but this is part of the charm of alta ski resort

Meh, food is good, not great. Extremely overpriced even by ski resort standards but unless you want to go hungry or you want to pack your own lunch this is an OK place to grab a bite to eat. I do like the seeded buns they use for the hamburgers but $5 for a fountain drink with no refills is just a complete rip-off.

Come into the restaurant after a long day of skiing, and you will instantly fall in love. You take off your ski gear at the door, and replace your tight, uncomfortable ski boots with soft slippers. The atmosphere is very open, and has an excellent view of the ski resort. To start, I ordered a seafood minestrone. I was a bit disappointed to discover that the only seafood the minestrone consisted of was shrimp. As a main course, I ordered the crab, bacon, spinach, Swiss cheese quiche. I could only eat a portion of the quiche because it was so heavy, but the sweet balsamic sauce drizzled on top served as a nice, light contrast to the pastry. On the side was a spinach dressing topped with pepper and the same sweet balsamic sauce, which I considered simply to be decorative. The desert was excellent, though! I had one bite of the apple and pumpkin puffed pastries, and they were both so delicate, crisp, creamy, and flavorful. These deserts also paired nicely with the Angry Orchard cider. The finishing touch, the coffee, was a bit strong for my taste. The service, however, was pretty decent. Overall, this is simply a one-time experience.
