We came here for a Father's day brunch a little while ago and loved the restaurant. I really wish I had been able to come back for the normal menu. The only thing I wish I had known when making the reservation was that they weren't doing the normal menu and had done a buffet brunch instead. My bad... probably should have read the fine print on OpenTable a little better. I definitely goofed up the time and location about this reservation and they were so sweet to hold it for us a lot longer. I really appreciate that they took care of us like this. The food was amazing - great variety and a lot of choices. The only thing I didn't like was that a lot of the food had meat in it and wasn't vegetarian friendly. Minor criticism. A lot of vegetarians can't eat from a buffet if you put the meat on the same plate as vegetarian food. Other than that, we really enjoyed brunch here and would be back very soon.

Best greek chicken salad I've had in the Dallas area so far. The sauce, feta, and chicken were spot on. Also ordered crab cakes and Italian cream cake. All of it was very tasty and the restaurant would be nice for a quiet dinner or gathering.

Breakfast buffet on Sunday is excellent! Drunken mushroom, leg of lamb, unlimited mimosas

Went for my mom's birthday. There were 6 of us and I mentioned her birthday to the woman at the front, but didn't really receive any special service or special dessert. Kind of disappointed in that. The food was ok, not great, just a bit uninspired. Some of the kebabs and souvlaki came out a bit too chewy (chicken and lamb), but the ahi tuna was very good, as was the fish. The service was fine, but nothing special, and the décor was very nice. I was hoping for just a bit more zing to the meal and service.

Excellent at our table we had the paella, the chicken scallopini, and the shrimp salad, our complements to the chef each meal had perfectly cooked and varied components!! We will be back!!

We went for brunch - if you are going I'd suggest going before 11:30 (which is when we arrived). The restaurant was rather empty, but it looked like the buffet - which is the only option on Sunday mornings - had been out for awhile. The food was a bit old looking and not quite warm. I wasn't going to touch the scrambled eggs or pancakes they had out... not appetizing. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, some Mediterranean chicken dish, and hummus with pita bread. They also had some fruit, mainly pineapple and melon. They also brought out a fresh "cheesey pita" thing (kind of like a pizza on a pita, but without marinara sauce) and it was really yummy and the only truly "hot" thing we had at the buffet. The one saving grace: bottomless mimosas. And they make them to order, not the bucket of mimosas that are pre-mixed like some places do. If we had gone earlier in the day and gotten a few rounds, maybe they could have gotten one more star from me.

Horrible customer service. After waiting 5 minutes for the hostess to help us she tells us the patio does not have a list it is just "first come first serve". We head to the patio and see a couple about to leave so we wait a few minutes and get their table. No waiter comes by for 10 minutes and then when she finally does she tells us there is a wait for the patio but we're welcome to go put our name on the list. So basically their employees can not communicate and embarrass their customers. Won't be returning here.

If you visit Ziziki's in Plano, I recommend to try some of their few popular dishes such as the Rack of Lamb, the Trio platter and/or my personal favorite, the Pastichio Lasagna. After tasting the first bite of the lasagna I knew right away this would be my staple dish when I come back. Unlike traditional lasagnas that have ricotta cheese, mozzarella, lasagna noodles, and meat sauce, this particular dish was plated with ground lamb, mozzarella, feta cheese, and ricotta layered with macaroni with a hint of cinnamon and fennel cooked over top with bechamel. This Pastichio Lasanga satisfied every taste bud. You can taste the savoriness of the lamb, with a creamy, melts in your mouth cheese trio. I tried many lasagna's but this Mediterranean twist of a lasagna takes the cake. Absolutely delicious, and a must try when you dine.

Ok, Ziziki's is my new jam! What a wonderful place to get not only fabulous Greek food, but delicious food in general. The pita bread and hummus is superb, the dolmades are sublime, and the wine list is great. Try the Hahn Pinot noir with the chicken scallopine and you will enter the stratosphere of great comfort food with a chef's deft touch. And don't be ashamed to order the tiramisu - it is so freshly created and beautiful to look at you might just want to take a selfie with it. Snap out of it and carve that dessert fork right in for yes, a religious experience. A decaf will wrap up the evening nicely and you will literally float out of Ziziki's after having seriously the best meal you've eaten in a long time.

What a cool place! Went here on a Saturday afternoon after running errands with 'The Man'. Very laid back atmosphere, great ambience & inviting. Although the wait staff was a little neglectful, it was lovely being able to ogle into each other's eyes without a busy crowd around. Yea, I'd go back to enjoy the food and romantic atmosphere, but only with my hopeless romantic man! Meow....

My wife and I ate here and everything from the tea to the pita bread to the salmon skewers were amazing. My wife is vegetarian so we took on the trio appetizer which will blow your mind. No meat and delicious. I had the salmon skewers while she stuck with veggie skewers.... Hands down best mediterranean food I've ever had. Will be a regular ...

Just tried this place and it's made the list as one of my top local favs. The restaurant is decorated with a modern elegance and ideal for a nice date night. Its a little expensive, but my date and I both thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite of our dinner so I guess you can say it was worth the $100. (4 glasses of wine, 2 appetizers, 1 entree split & dessert). The appetizers were probably the best part of the meal. We had the pita and artichoke hummus and the calamari. Both were fantastic and I could literally eat that every single day for the rest of my life. (Salivating from the memory as we speak) We split the Rack of Lamb which came with mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and marinated red onions. All of which were a perfect combination. The lamb is cooked Medium by default which is a little too well done for my taste. I should have requested it medium rare like I usually do, but the waiter presented it with so much authority that I felt compelled to trust his judgement. If I would have went with my gut it would have been much better. With that being said the Lamb was still delicious. It was marinated with a savory combinations of herbs and covered in a rich brown gravy which went really well with the mashed potatoes. Last but definitely not least was the dessert. I read on Yelp that the Baklava Ice cream cake was a MUST TRY and it most certainly lived up to its reputation. I will definitely be back to try more from the menu. Love this place!

TOP 30 places in my option to eat at in the Dallas area! It can be pricey at night but lunch is the same size portions just 5-8 dollars cheaper.

The lamb burger was delectable and juicy. If you drink alcohol, try the Chiltin - vodka, lemon, and soda.

Sunday brunch is wonderful. The artichoke hummus is really good. I tried a little of everything and was not disappointed! Ending the meal with the best in house made baklava I have ever had.

My wife and I have been going to Ziziki's for over twenty years. It is one of our top three casual restaurants in Dallas/Plano. We drive 20 miles at least once per month to eat the chicken souvlaki and the sliced leg of lamb sandwich, their version of the gyro. The service is always as good as the food. Highly recommend all three locations!!!!

    (5)
  • Rob L.

We live in Coppell and routinely make our way to Plano to get great Greek food at Ziziki's. The calamari is fantastic. We get it grilled, rather than breaded, but I have no doubt that the standard, breaded version is even better. The lamb salad is out of this world! As usual with good restaurants, it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

    (5)
  • Regan H.

The service way great, and the atmosphere was nice, but the food was REALLY expensive for what you get. My husband and I both got the gyro plate, and it just wasn't anything special. I was expecting it to knock my socks off considering the price, but I have had better gyros from gas stations. With there being 3 other greek resturants in the area, I won't go back to this place anytime soon.

I really adore Ziziki's- the food, service, and ambience- all EXQUISITE! The menu was not terribly large, with fewer options than most other Greek restaurants. However, everything on their menu was superb! I highly recommend the "Trio Platter" (spanakopita, artichoke hummus, grilled pita and dolmades) as the appetizer. The home-made pita was arguably the best I have tasted in the area; both the artichoke hummus and spanakopita were really delicious. After tasting everything on this platter, you would feel hungrier and crave for more of their food! The Baklava Ice Cream Cake was also a must-try- home-made baklava layered with vanilla bean ice cream, soooo yummy! The portion was huge and enough to share for two or more. For vegetarians, they got Veggie Sandwich (lunch only) and Veggie Souvlaki. Both were excellent. This is one of the places where the entrée prices are significantly higher at dinner time. For example, my favorite veggie souvlaki is $9.5 for lunch (what a bargain!), but $15.5 for dinner. Their lunch is definitely better value. Just save the dinner at this place (with elegant interior and an enchanting patio) for special occasions!

Went there last Friday for dinner after reading the reviews on Yelp. There must have been a different chef or this location must be under different management because the food was NOTHING like everyone is raving about. We ordered the "Sliced Leg of Lamb Gyro" and the "Greek God's Platter", two of their most expensive dishes and their "House Specialty" The Lamb meat in my Gyro was mostly tendons so naturally I could not chew it. It was also overcooked and under spiced. After several minutes of looking for an edible piece of lamb in my Gyro I just gave up. We both ate the Greek God's Platter instead...the lamb on that plate was TOUGH AND CHEWY also. We were out celebrating and did not let the CHEAP cuts of OVERPRICED lamb meat spoil or evening...so we packed it up and took it home to our doggie ... he loved it :) So if you're into buying expensive Lamb dishes for your canine...go here...they provide nice tough tendons that your dog will enjoy. Advice to regular people who value their money: Over hyped trendy spot, average food...HORRIBLE LAMB! Input for Ziziki's management: Provide better cuts of Lamb Hire someone that knows how to cook lamb Raise your prices if you need to....but stop serving TENDONS, they are not human consumable.

Took friends on Saturday night for their first time here. Both said it was one of the best meals they've had. My wife had the chicken scallopini and said it was the best. Believe it or not, the lamb-burger is also excellent. Better than Zorba's.

Went here Friday night with the wife... For what you get, the pricing is a bit out of line. If I am spending $30 on a plate, can I have a salad? Please? Guess not unless I wanna buy one for $4.00. Wife loved her chicken scallopini. I had the dolmades to start; they were good. For dinner, I had the ahi tuna souvlaki. It was extremely bland and I had to drench it with that "Ziziki sauce". Potatoes tasted like the wedges I would buy at the WalMart deli. Service was average. Waitress had an issue with eye contact apparently. I know I am ugly, but hey, I am spending dollars here. Won't be rushing back anytime soon... Ciao

Classy, classy, classy! When you walk in it is low lit, white table cloths and tasteful decor. This is the nicest Greek food place I have been to in the Dallas area. They offer drinks specials during happy hour and their drinks are phenomenal if you enjoy a good martini. The hummus trio platter is my favorite appetizer since it is so hard for me to choose one. :) Their pita bread is served warm with some spices. It is so soft and zesty. The hummus has the perfect texture. I've had a couple of chicken dishes here that are simply delectable. The potatoes are extremely tasty. I've never made it to dessert, but I am sure it is great as well. This is a super nice date spot or a fancy girl's night. I would recommend anyone to try this even if you aren't sure about Greek food and the idea of hummus turns you off, give it a try here. The staff is very professional and attentive. They are not casual chit chatters or ones to make jokes. Very serious, i suppose that comes with the classy environment.

A cute, upscale Mediterranean (aka Greek-with-a-twist) spot in Plano. Our group of 3 shared the sampler app platter which consisted of stuffed grape leaves (good), artichoke hummus (really, really good) and spankanopita (wow!). Definitely enough food to share and everything was well prepared. I had a special, which was pork tenderloin. Ok, not really Greek or even Mediterranean as it has black bean/pico relish on it which kind of seemed out of place. The pork itself was a tad tough but wonderfully seasoned. My companions enjoyed a red snapper special and an ahi tuna salad and were happy with their choices. Prices, for a nice place, were pretty reasonable. Service - great. Attentive, but not overly so. Our server knew when to check in and when to just let us chat. The drawback? This place gets LOUD - it's all hard surfaces and the noise can get overwhelming (especially when they seat a large table of ladies guzzling margaritas and wine right behind you...just sayin') Definitely worth a stop!

This place is one of my all-time favorites for a nice night out. The Greek salad with grilled seafood is a healthy lo-cal option which appeals to me. The grilled snapper with lemon butter sauce is a great meal for a special evening. Don't order the tuna steak, big mistake on my part as my dinner companion noshed on the great snapper. Hummus appetizer is terrific too. Friendly service from John gives off neighborhood vibes!!!!

We had tried the Ziziki in Dallas and really enjoyed it several years ago. We were in Plano for a party and I wanted to try Ziziki's in Plano. It was awesome! The restaurant was packed and the staff was working it. Natalie was our waitress, she seemed a little different from the balance of the staff. She differently was not Greek, super cute petite blonde with a fabulous love of the restaurant. She is a part owner and it shows...I loved her story and the fantastic restaurant. The food was so good and true to the culture. I can not wait to go back!

I love greek food and jump on the chance to try a new restaurant. I wasn't impressed at all with Zizikis. Some of the staple greek food wasn't even on the menu, and the food was way too over priced for just mediocre food. I can see this being a great date night place, but the food is okay.

  • Sara B.

Ahh where do I begin! The service is alwaysss amazing here, the servers are very friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding! The chicken greek salad and the lamb burger are to die for. Actually this burger is the best burger I have ever had and I am very picky meat eater. They have a nice cozy patio seating which is a plus for me. Moving on to dessert my specialty haha , the baklava icecream cake is not to be missed!!! The menu prices are veryy reasonable compared to other mediteranian/greek restaurants. I definatley reccomend this place, you will become addicted like I am.

Still not sure why I don't go here more often. I've been to a couple locations and really the only difference is in the service. At this location I got great service and equally great food. Without asking, my waiter offered up suggestions for vegetarian friendly options and went one step further to suggest substitutions. Compared to other Greek restaurants this place offers up a more upscale kind of vibe but it's not over the top. And I could have had the worst experience during my meal but it all would have worked out after my first bite of baklava ice cream cake. Now I remember why I limit myself to visits. It's pure trouble and I suggest eating it as fast as you can before the guilt sets in. They should package the stuff!

  • Jay F.

Very good food, and high quality. I went easy and had the souvlaki. My friend had something more adventurous and couldn't stop eating. Oh, and the baklava ice cream cake! 5 stars! What prevents 5 stars? The price. $17 for a chicken pita sandwich? Basically, yes! And all it comes with are some potatoes? Gimme a vegetable or something! LOL. So, on an expense account? Go for it. If not, there are places where the food is just as good and the price is reasonable.

Yesterday I wrote a review of Platia's in Frisco and gave it a "meh" rating. That may be because I was comparing it to Ziziki's in Plano. My wife and I love this place, and last night did not disappoint. we love the quiet atmosphere, the excellent service, and the great food. We have dined here several times and are never disappointed. My wife is a member of the Z club and receives promotional offers via text message...yesterday we took advantage of a 50% all entrees deal...what more can you ask for...all of the above, and 50% off. And, there was even enough left for me to take home for today's lunch. A great restaurant, we always enjoy the experience, will definitely go back again and again.

Late review. Came here for Father's Day brunch. The buffet-style food was amazing, the unlimited mimosas were delicious, and the service was prompt and friendly. I'm not sure if they do brunch every Sunday or not but it was definitely one of my favorite brunch experiences in this area. Only bad thing was that it's pretty pricey. Might have to save this one for special occasions.

I get sticker shock every time I come here. Always have a pleasant experience, then I get bill that always seems to be about 50% more than I expected. Definitely not a good value.

I read Scott D's review and thought I should give it a try. I've been doing great on my diet and was a little nervous because I didn't want to be tempted with pitta bread. I got the Greek salad with Salmon. I had them hold the olives and asked for the dressing on the side. I'm from CA so I'm not saying it's the best salmon I've ever had but it is the best I've had in TX so far. The combination of all the flavors were so good that I used lemon on my salad instead of the dressing that came with it. I will definitely be back. I'll add a photo.

I eat here twice a week and love it! Excellent service and by far the best Greek food in Dallas! The owners are frequently on the floor and happy to meet you. MUST GO!! The zizki bread is so good I would literally eat it as my last meal! The Sunday brunch is an excellent arrangement of items like Greek salad, spanacopita, dolmas, Grecian chicken, pita with artichoke dip, pancakes, baklava, chocolate cake and more. The amount and q Number of different types of food make it a great deal. Te kids loved the chicken tenders and pasta as well. Very friendly atmosphere, gets a little louder around 6 on Friday or Saturday's due to the number of diners at that time. The service is great, and the hostess is always so great with accommodating our requests, and makes the kids feel especially welcome. Great meal and a great experience!

Highly recommended! Great food, great service, large portions, and a lovely breezy patio. LAMB BURGER!!!!!! Everything we ordered was excellent but the lamb burger was outstanding. The potatoes it was paired with surpassed my nagging desire for french fries. We ordered an appetizer two lunch plates and a Stella, bill total was $38 Not a chain, family owned :) EAT HERE!!

I grew up in Connecticut with a lot of Greek Food. If you went to a Diner, you can guarantee that it's Greek. So I had items such as spanakopita, souvlaki, and taziki for years. I've been to other restaurants in the area, and while it's alright, it never had the authentic Greek food I craved. Well folks, Ziziki's is your place for the real deal. While attending the Taste of Lakeside Festival (meh) we got to try a sampling of Ziziki's food. It was a simple sampling of their lamb, pita, and hummus. That was more than enough to get me hooked. So we ditched the Festival (still meh) and hooved it across the parking lot to Ziziki's. Let me say that from the outside, this place couldn't be more exciting. I'm waiting until it cools down, so we can eat outside under their pergola and enjoy the evening. The inside was smaller than I thought it would be, but definitely not cramped. The decorating is simple and serene, without a trace of gaudy or over the top. We were immediately seated, and prepared ourselves for a nice meal. Seeing that we only wanted a light lunch, we shared an order of Calamari and an order of Chicken Souvlaki. With the Chicken Souvlaki came a side of Ziziki sauce, (they're special blend) their fresh made pitas, and their roasted potatoes. The Calamari was definitely the highlight of the whole meal. You could taste that it was fresh, and how they cooked it (sauted in white wine, lemon and olive oil) accentuated the taste. I have eaten Fried Calamari hundreds of times at dozens of locations, and this is by far, the BEST I've had. If you can't read between the lines, what I'm saying is: "ORDER THIS." The Chicken Souvlaki was good, if not a smidge dry, but worked well when eaten with their Ziziki sauce and pita. The funny part is that what really made the dish was their roasted potatoes. These come in as the runner up for best food we had there, and are the best roasted potatoes I've had in a long time. They weren't dry at all, and the mixture of spices and coating was phenomenal. They are very savory, and a nice compliment to the richness of the Ziziki sauce. So yeah, now you're probably asking why Ziziki's only got Four Stars instead of Five. And the one downfall here, is the price. Like most people today, I'm a bit conscious about money. And having eaten at various locations, you get a feeling on how much food feels "right" for the price. While the Calamari was out of this world, for the portion it would have been better at $8 rather than $11. As for the $12 Chicken Souvlaki, the portion more so called for a $10 price tag. Regardless of the price qualm, we'll be back to Ziziki's. The food was great and we want to try more, the outside pergola is going to be perfect for a nice outside dinner, and Ziziki's gave me the taste of Greece that I have missed for so long. And you know what, that's worth the couple extra bucks.

A group of friends were looking to meet somewhere and get caught up. None of us had been before. It was everything we were looking for. Great patio, great food and great service. This will make it into our ongoing rotation. There is nothing bad about the experience. We ordered three appetizers, two salads and one entree and split between four people and a few drinks. Definitely worth the $35 we all spent. Can't remember the last time a patio scene was that perfect.

  • Chris V.

Good food, nice atmosphere, and a little pricey for what I consider an average restaurant. They are trying to be fine dining but lack the ambiance and exquisite menu creations. I think we spent ~$70 on four glasses of wine which is ridiculous. We'll go back eventually but there are many places nearby that are better value.

10 stars out of 5!!! Trust me this is all you need to know. LAMB BURGERS....AMAZING !!!! APPETIZERS - had the grape leaf wrap and the herb cheese pita break...both AMAZING. ENTREE - ordered lamb burgers...omfg heaven !! tried my dad's lamb pita thing, that was amazing. tried my mom's vegetarian pita thing...that was amazing. this place is the BOMB...CANT WAIT TO GO BACK !

Lamb is delicious! I had souvlaki and my hubby had it stuffed! The place has a fancy atmosphere so I guess that's why the prices are so high. I only wish they offered free pita bread and cucumber sauce when you sit down like Platia Greek Kouzina does. Oh and if you like baklava try the ice cream ;)

Just finished eating lunch here for the first time. I thought it was very good Greek food. We were seated immediately, drinks were always topped off quickly, and our waiter was friendly/attentive. I ordered the side Greek salad and the gyro - both very good. The only downside that might be an issue for some people is the price (very expensive for lunch). This is very upscale and classy, but I highly recommend if you like Greek food.

This place was a pleasant surprise in most respects. The ambiance was nice inside, and - on a cooler day - would be enjoyable outside on its patio as well. The food was terrific. My date and I both had souvlakis (a lamb one and a shrimp one), after spanakopita for an appetizer. The appetizer was tasty, and the small sides that come with it complement it, but allow you to pair the amount right for you. On to the entrées: The pita floor was soft but substantial. The shrimp was good - and I wasn't sure if it would be at a Greek restaurant (I'm new to Mediterranean) - and the lamb was as far from dry as the Great Lakes from Arizona! Both came with potato wedges as I would expect with a steak, and they were crisp on the outside YET tender on the inside. The tomato sauce used on mine was a nice addition, and neither pasty nor runny. The tiramisu we took to go was good, but not as good as we've had elsewhere. In my view, it tastes a little like a waffle tiramisu hybrid, and if they'd just own it that way and make it with real waffles they might really have something! They still need to bring the coffee taste out more in it, though. In our view, the service wasn't very attentive. Luckily, the romantic setting and quality cuisine keep 4 stars shining. I plan to go back sometime.

I typically have the chicken souvlaki and the house Greek salad. My wife and I split the salad (which is plenty). The Greek salad is divine. The chicken has always been cooked perfectly and is very flavorful. Service has always been excellent and the staff have been very polite. This is one of those places we return to again and again.

I'd hate to place blame on anything but I ate here for lunch with my husband. We both hadn't had any breakfast so I don't think it was any other foods. But we had the gyros here and about an hour after both got food poisoning. Threw up the rest of the day... most likely won't be taking a chance here again

  • C. W.

Oh my god can you say yuppie? Do not expect a proper Greek restaurant if you go here. This is more of a fusion Greek place. My lamb was ok, but could have been better had it not been cooked to a medium(ask for medium rare!) The artichoke hummus is a must for your appetizer, and the pita bread is nice and warn. My friend had two big disappointments: they were out of Greek beer, and they do not serve frappe. The acoustics need to be worked on, I had a hard time hearing the person next to me. Probably will not go back here unless it is someone else's choice.

I wasn't too impressed with Ziziki's. The place looks great, nice decor and a clear, attractive menu, but the food wasn't at the same level. Now, it wasn't bad, but the dolmades were bland and the pitas around our souvlakis were a bit tough and weren't wrapped in aluminum foil, leading us to have to cut them on our plate instead of grab and bite them. The prices are a bit on the high side too. All in all, not a bad meal, but nothing special either. If you're looking the opposite in both decor (i.e. not as upscale) and food (i.e. better than Ziziki's), I'd recommend Kosta's at Preston / Park.

This place is an amazing date night place. The grape leaves were fantastic. I had the chicken sufalaks (sp?) my boyfriend has the lamb. It was delicious. So much food, so your are getting bag for your buck. Will come back in the future.

OK, I don't throw out Five Star ratings very often, so you may want to make a note here. On my OMG Meter Ziziki's is pegged at a solid 10. And to make this review even more unusual for me is..I really never liked Greek food until NOW! I had the Salmon Souvlaki.. that's Salmon Shi-ka-bob to most of us..on a Pita bread that was so light I did not think it was a bread..which was absolutely excellent. The Salmon was Very light, not fatty or oily. It was full of flavor. And I guess you should not get me started on telling you about the roasted new potato..just perfect. And of course..I saved the best for the last..the BAKLAVA ICE CREAM CAKE Homemade baklava layered with vanilla bean ice cream..simply unbelievable. Ziziki's has a very casual by upscale atmosphere that is very comfortable for dinner. I will be back and for sure bringing the posse with me.

This review is for the Sunday brunch. - the beef was very dry and tough. Meat presentation very bad - Pita bread cold and hard - Very bad service. Saw the waiter twice. - Smoked Salmon is very salty. Mimosa was good.

The Greek lasagna was yummy. Service was above average. The place could use more lighting, we had to use our phone light to read the menu. I'm not sure I would like sitting at the tables right behind the door in the entrance. That's bit tacky but I guess they wanted to serve as many people as possible.

Too expensive for the small amount and "didn't blow me away" quality of food. Eh.

Stopped by Ziziki's (Plano) a short while ago on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised to see that they were serving a "brunch buffet" at this time. I will say that I'm not a fan of "buffets," and try to avoid them like the plague, as they are obesity and food borne illness (explosive 'rrhea) factories, but we were hungry and 15 feet away from a meal. That said, here are the facts: **DISCLAIMER: In all fairness, this is a review of just their buffet-style brunch and shouldn't be construed as my overall opinion of Ziziki's which I'd rate at a solid 4-stars: PROs: - For a "buffet" style set-up, the food was surprisingly fresh and tasted well on most selections--exceeding my expectations. Complimentary mimosas were also well received. - Good service. CONs: - So the bill arrived... with a sensible tip we were in excess of $60 for two people (Myself and P. Diddy who was hosting me for the afternoon). Hmm... that didn't leave me too happy. $30 a head for a buffet in a restaurant with mediocre ambience, a casual theme, and self-service was pretty stupid honestly. Had I known that the buffet would have been priced as such, we would have had hopped down over to a Seasons 52 or equivalent. - Their dolmas are unfortunate attempts to duplicate a real mediterranean treat and were disappointing. Back home, the consequence of such a botched plagiarization of this flagship Mediterranean delicacy would result in certain execution. For me, it just resulted in the need to take some Rolaids. OVERALL: Again, I am a fan of Ziziki's, but in all fairness, their buffet concept did not float my boat. Good food, good service, poor cost/benefit trade-off for Sunday brunch.

Always a fan of Mediterranean food, I was glad to find this place, and went for lunch by myself. It was a comfortable temp outside and I asked to sit there and take advantage of the lovely open and covered patio. The hostess just said "Yes, it is a nice day". Huh? So they seated me at the requisite individual diner seats by the bathroom, which was ok. I ordered the Greek cheeseburger, which came pretty quickly. I had a silly "where's the ketchup?" moment when I saw the potatoes, then quickly realized roasted potatoes this perfect would be insulted by any condiment. The burger was on ample toasted pita; less bun made it super easy to enjoy one of the best burgers I've ever had. There was no room for dessert, but I opted for a baklava for the road. It was huge, and nutty sweet the next day. Waiter was helpful and attentive. I'll be back for sure; perhaps to try Happy Hour. Thanks for baklava!

Nice selection of vegetarian foods that taste great, very nice atmosphere, unfortunately slow service when we went for a late lunch. For sure I'd go back, if the service was better I'd be back often.

Grilled marinated artichokes with a lemon butter sauce. Delicious! You can eat the whole thing. It's on the special menu so get them while you can. Been there several times. This is my favorite Greek place.

Good Greek food. The spanakopita is world class. The pastichio was very tasty an had some interesting spices rolled into it. The shrimp souvlaki was very good as well. We come here regularly, mainly because it's one of the few Greek restaurants on OpenTable that is nearby. Service is good, as is the ambiance. One thing that never really sets well with us, though, is the $3 up charge for a single piece of pita bread. It's a Greek restaurant, and you'd think pita bread would just be a staple offering. Other than that, no complaints.

I absolutely love Zizikis! The chicken souvlaki is amazing and my favorite appetizer is the artichoke dip. I don't even like artichokes but it's delicious. I used to live in Plano and would get it to go regularly. Now that I am back in town for a visit I plan on indulging. I have also tried the mushroom soup and calamari along with several other dishes and all of them were spectacular. It's by far my favorite Greek place. I wish they would come to Houston because no ones souvlaki is as good as Zizikis!

The restaurant was cozy and had a nice ambiance. We went around 7:30 PM for dinner and were seated immediately. The greek salad and the lamb gyro that I ordered was not bad but not the best that I've had either. The roasted potatoes were delicious and probably were the highlight of my meal. Overall, the service was good, food was decent, although a little pricey, and the experience was enjoyable.

This is an amazing place to eat at. The lamb is my favorite, very delicately flavored and exceptionally well made. One of my top restaurants to eat at in dallas.

Had a lunch date with a friend here and loved the food. We had a pita and hummus, he had the lamb gyro, I had the lamb lasagna.. All were fantastic. The service was really attentive without being disruptive. Kudos, I will return :]]

good high quality food with good service as well. I have also tried the other location in Addison and they both live up to expectation. I'll be back.

Great little gem in Plano! The menu has some great selections, the staff is courteous and service is just what you'd want. The design and ambiance is nicer than you'd expect for a Mediterranean restaurant, even in Plano. Will definitely be back!

Food continues to be great with good service. A little bit of a hiccup last night with waiter taking too long to attend to us - but all worked out at the end. Lamb chops are AWESOME. Having said all that, this place is still pricey - not a good value and hence the 4 stars.

It's been years since my wife and I have dined at Ziziki's. We ha last been to their Dallas location. My wife recently found out they had opened up a location in Plano. Just finished up dinner and we both can't wait to come back. We both love the Souvlaki.

If I had to design my last meal on Earth, it would be a shared feast at Ziziki's. First I would delve into their Fried Calamari, Greek Salad and Rack of Lamb. But then how would I live without their hummus, pita, chicken, and lamb hamburger? Oh, I guess that was the point...just one meal. Well, it would sure be one to swoon over! Yes, I could eat here everyday until I die! Swear!

"Ok" Expecting Greek cuisine? Not. This is American with a Greek influence ... Nice decor, fairly expensive (over-priced perhaps?) "ziziki bread and sauce" is NOT tzatziki.... (Greeks wouldn't melt cheddar on a pita.... And the sauce wasn't ...)

This was a spontaneous outing and everything was awesome. The lamb gyro was amazing, the atmosphere was great and I was extremely satisfied...until I got the so called Italian Cream Cake home to find that it was nothing but a yellow cake from a box topped with over sweet icing and coconut shreds. The crappy cake ruined the entire experience for me.

I'd give this place 7 stars if I could. The gyro and Grecian chicken there are AMAZING, and the baklava ice cream cake is to die for. The staff always has a great vibe, and the music was on point. I absolutely love this restaurant, and all of the friendly faces that greet me when I walk through the doors. I've yet to find a single item on the menu that I wouldn't order again. Easily the best Greek restaurant in Dallas, would highly recommend stopping in or grabbing to go.

Hopefully just bad luck. It wasn't really busy so we were sat immediately and the hostess asked if we wanted a kids menu which was great because we didn't even know they had one. I said yes and that was the last time we spoke to anyone until we decided to leave 10 minutes later. I usually give staff the benefit of the doubt with long waits between host and server because mistakes happen. However, after the hostess never showed up with the kids menu, the server never showed, and I watched the manager ask the 3 tables next to mine if they needed anything, I decided it just wasn't my day and it was time to leave. Not saying I wouldn't go back but I will know next time that maybe I need to be more forward with the staff instead of just expecting things to happen.

Great Sunday brunch. I was wanting zizikis burger but was very content with the brunch. Quiet atmosphere made it a bit uncomfortable with kids, but overall great experience

Food was less than mediocre (eh, those aren't jumbo shrimp, they are medium to small) on a bed of lettuce with some feta cheese... awful salad. Waiter was checked out, got our order wrong on multiple items. Water glass pretty much empty the whole time unless we uncomfortably asked for a refill (its water, just check in periodically?) Items brought out that we didn't order then not removed from the bill., things we ordered not showing up. Unfortunately i need to carry the reminder of this debacle until my credit card bill comes in... and its NOT cheap this place... Far too many better choices in the same area (Zorba's is far better and much more reasonably priced). We won't be back.

We used to dine here 4 or 5 times a month or more and know most of the staff fairly well. The food is consistently pretty good, service can easily be lackjing (slow). We recently went on a Monday night for a family dinner, when we arrived there were 3 or 4 tables already seated. We ordered promptly from Natalie (the manager) and then waited over an hour while at least three tables that were seated after us were served. I explained to Natalie that this was unacceptable, she apologized, but did nothing to remedy the situation. We will never dine there again and encourage others to to find alternatives including Breadwinners in the same shopping center

Today for lunch, I joined my friend for lunch in Plano at Ziziki's Greek restaurant. We were greeted nicely as we walked in the door and chose to sit in the beautiful dining room instead of the massive patio since it was windy. The server helped us decide on the menu with some good descriptions and suggestions. Our drinks never went dry and we were checked on consistently by two different servers. We both ordered the Chicken Greek salad and when they came, I was impressed. Large salad served with 2 skewers of chicken pieces cooked to perfection. The dressing on this salad was divine. I never tasted anything so delicious on a salad. I could taste the pieces of cucumbers and even had to ask for more because it was so amazing! Our plates were cleared promptly and our check was processed quickly. A great meal although slightly pricey. Chicken salad, a drink and tip was $20. I'm glad I got what I paid for though.

I went yesterday for the first time for the Sunday brunch. Everything was so outstanding, that I managed to fit in 3 full plates. The service was attentive but not intrusive, the shrimp were so plump and flavorful, the chocolate cake to die for...I would go on and on, but there are plenty of other reviews echoing my sentiments. Just had to add a good review when it is so rightly deserved.

I am in LOVE with Ziziki's food. I could've written Scot D's review myself. The salmon is the best I've ever had. Seriously. I crave the salmon salad or salmon souvlaki on a regular basis. Anytime my husband suggests going out to dinner, I throw my hand up for Ziziki's. The seasoning used on the salmon is salty, herby goodness. And the fish is always fresh and mild, no strong salmon taste at all. It's cooked perfectly and has a nice char-grilled flavor. I love to start the meal with a side of kalamata olives ($3) and a glass of white wine. We rarely do dessert bc we are so full from the large dinner portions! My mouth is watering just thinking about their food. It's a great quiet dinner environment as well. We can actually hear ourselves talk and the wait staff is great. The prices are very reasonable and more than worth what you get for your money. Often you can find a $10 off $50 coupon in local mailers. I can't say enough about this place! It's wonderful!

The super ice storm was on the ground, I walked from my home wearing cramp ons used for high altitude mountain climbs...this was the only way to get around on the ice on day three. I walked into Weirs village and found this place open. One of a few places open. And I was treated to fresh "Ahi", new potatoes, Pita, Ziziki's sauce and to walk in from the Ice Planet "Hoth", this was a real treat! Thanks for the great food! After enjoying Organic Mediterranean Swarma, Gyros Spanikopita Et all in San Francisco (Yummas), this was excellent Mediterranean food! I'll be back...thanks crew!
