Average hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Good for quick and cheap lunch. The menu is not extensive. Prices are pretty low and portions are pretty generous. For a quick meal this place is OK. We didn't have any issues with the food. Just a note, this place is closed on Sundays

Have been coming to Adelita's in Pearland, Texas for at least a couple years and for my money is the best Mexican food around. The family-owned and operated staff are always friendly and ready to make your visit a satisfying one. The go-to selection for lunch or dinner is the #1 Macho Plate. It comes with a cold plate consisting of a tostada, beef taco (lettuce, tomato, cheese, ground beef) and chile con queso chip. Then comes the hot plate: two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. All of this for just $6.75. Compared to other Mexican food choices in Pearland and surrounding areas it is the definitely the best bang for your buck, with excellent quality ingredients and food to boot. The queso is light and tasty and will not weigh you down. The cheese enchiladas are also rather thin and light so as to not make you feel miserable after eating them. The food is always served hot. One minor complaint would be that the hot sauce is too inconsistent in its flavor and texture. Sometimes it will be more runny and spicy while other times it's a little more thick and tomato-ey. The best is when it's somewhere in between. All in all, Adelita's is a great place if you want a hot, affordable Tex-Mex meal with a smile.
