Tucker’s Grill & Taqueria Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Don't let the exterior fool you. This place has excellent food. Service is top notch and I only wish other restaurants cared as much about their food and customers as the owner of this establishment does, who by the way is usually working right along side everyone else in the kitchen. Tacos are amazing, calzone is one of the best I ever had, and I haven't found one thing yet I didn't like, although I'm still working my way through the entire menu. But be warned, I believe the jalepenos are from some secret government bioweapons facility. Hottest I've ever had.

Tucker's Surprise calzone=perfection. Stopped by on our way home from a conference. The people were so kind, and we enjoyed the whole experience!

I came from Irving because of the great stuff I heard about this place. The food was totally worth the drive. The chicken tenders were super juicy and nice and crispy on the outside. Beef nachos are great. Churros are to die for. Best of all, the owner is very friendly.

This place is great! Everything i have tried, which have been burgers, tilapia, catfish, and tacos have been great. The food is served hot and ingredients fresh. The owner who is usually working the counter treats you like you are a vip customer. He treats all patrons that way. Give it a try!

I love this place! Sultan gives the best customer service I've had in 20yrs. and Omar hasn't ever met a stranger... I had some Lingua tacos and my wife had steak tacos... Mine were better than hers...I know because she got full after 2 tacos, so I got her extra taco;)) We spent $18 and left fat and happy NAP TIME

We were driving through Mesquite for somewhere different to eat. I pulled up yelp and this place had 5 star. Then wanted to know why a taco shop next to a gas station was so popular. I understood when I went in. The customer service from Sultan, was excellent! The food takes a long time to get but it is fresh and delicious. I can't wait to go back and try the fried tilapia and eat more churros! LOVE this place!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The owner is very very friendly and humble. I've brought several colleagues here and the initial reaction is..."Gas station? Really? Why did you bring me here?" But in the end, everyone loved it and would come back again. I've had their tacos (lengua & barbacoa are my favorites) and the chicken strips here. The menu is vast but other colleagues of mine have ordered sandwiches and have raved about it as well. Definitely a must-go for anyone on the fence.

They are REALLY good breakfast tacos! A little small...but I just had to go back. Great price too!!

We had the tacos, and they sorta sucked. Everyone around us had pizza, wish we had gotten the pizza as it looks pretty awesome. I probably wouldn't go back after waiting a half hour for a couple of tacos.

Great variety of food. They owner and his sons are very nice, always friendly and get you what ever you need to make your meal great. The prices are great. We are a family of 6, and average cost for everyone to get something good with a drink is about $40. Food tastes great too!

Surprisingly fresh, delicious Mexican food, very reasonably priced. The friendliest service you'll find. Either is a family-run place, or at least has that feel. Service by Sultan, a great kid. Check it out.

I've been coming here for almost 2 years now the food has never disappointed. I'm so happy that Omar the owner is seeing his hard work pay off because he truly deserves it. Everything he serves is fresh and homemade to the point of perfection. Rarely do you find a restaurant that has great food and great prices. Never do you find a restaurant that is clean, has great food, great prices, and great customer service. Bravo guys keep up the amazing work!

Awesome pizza! Fast and friendly. Great for kids. Diverse menu where everything we tried (tacos, chicken, pizza) was delicious.

This place is wonderful!!! The food is great and the staff is very friendly. I know many "regulars" who share my view. The guy even remembers yours face. I recommend the street tacos and the chicken flautas.

This place is amazing!! Hard to believe its at a gas station! Omar (the owner) Is very nice, and he even will hook you up with things after awhile. I definitely recommend the tacos, they're amazing! This little hole-in-the-wall has many options to choose from chicken, tacos, pizzas, burgers, soups, breakfast.... the list goes on!! If you are ever in Mesquite check this place out.

  • Kareem A.

Food is perfect!!!! Tacos and chicken strips are amazing! I just tried the burrito this week and was really good! Food will not disappoint and Omar is always very nice. Best spot for a quick meal in mesquite.

Back again. Tried the pizza again but this time double pepperoni, extra cheese and extra sauce. It's divine. Also picked up the chicken tenders and catfish again and both were delicious. I still need to try the tacos!!!!

This place is awesome when the owner is there. If the female is cooking and running the register she usually has a bad attitude or is slow as hell.

They have the best street tacos and it's at a reasonable price. If you are in the area, you must stop by. You won't be sorry.

I've been going to Tucker's since they opened, and I have nothing but great things to say about the management and the food. Their tacos are amazing and the quesadillas are great. They have recently revamped their menu including pizza and subs and I tried them for the first time last weekend and it is fantastic. For the combination of price and quality, you can't beat it.

This is our 3rd time eating here, 2nd day in a row, we've tried the tacos, pizzas, & calzones..everything is delicious & the place came highly recommended by many people!!

This place is amazing! the moment I walked in I was recognized and greeted. when I was ordering food I had plenty of suggestions from the cashier his name is Sulton (teenage boy) literally everything from their menu is excellent. I ordered a small size pizza of the Tucker's supreme (best pizza you will ever taste) my wife had the beef tacos. The meat is very tender with bursting flavors! Price is great! I highly recommend this place to get something really quick at a top restaurant quality taste!

I went to Tucker's yesterday for the first time of the strength of the reviews. Sultan waited on me and was extremely attentive and sweet with every customer there! I ordered the street tacos...they were sooo GOOD. Excellent flavor and great service, I'll be back to try out more of their menu!

I went to Tucker's 4 years ago when they first opened. Went again tonight, was able to meet and talk with the owner, Omar. He even walked me out to my car. Great service! I had the street tacos--beef and chicken--amazing! So flavorful. Also ordered the supreme speciality calzone. It was very good and made to order. I wish the marinara sauce was warm however. I will definitely be back...soon!

Wanted some breakfast tacos sand found this place on Yelp. It was a great hole in the wall. Initially upon entry I was skeptical because the menu was very random(chicken wings, subs, calzones, tacos) but nonetheless I ordered 3 tacos;2 chorizo egg and cheese and one sausage egg and cheese. They were all delicious, but I especially loved the chorizo tacos! The tacos tasted fresh, well seasoned, were overstuffed and the salsa was spicy and tasty. The staff was very friendly and courteous, looks family owned I will definitely be back to try some more of their tacos. They definitely satisfied my cravings. Thx Yelp for another great suggestion!!!

My theory is closer to being proven about Yelpers in different geographic locations. Example: Oscar Delta in Forney was one of the most tepid eating experiences of my life. The food was as if it were made by a 4th grader who forgot to use salt, yet it's highly rated because people in Forney aren't use to food that's worth a damn. This brings me to Mesquite, the land of chain uninspired chain restaurants. Mesquite just isn't used to food that's worth a damn, so that's why places like this get 5 STARS. 5 STARS?! Are you kidding me? More stars than Bob's Steak and Chop House? No way. At Tuckers, the food is cheap and bland. I have tried the tacos and pizza. I would like to make my review more complete by trying more of the foods, but it's honestly been a money pit for me. Sure, the guy is nice, whatever--people are nice sometimes. Please don't confuse affability with cooking skill. I've had better pizza at a 7-11. It wasn't disgusting or not edible (it almost was not edible,) but it's just not worth the money. It's basically frozen pizza and it shows. The pizza was doughy, the sauce saturated in garlic, and the cheese--cheap. The tacos were tacos. You can get these types of tacos at any taco stand in even Mesquite. I'd try the fish, but I'm sure I can make my own and the time, money, and fishing would be more worth it. You hate to knock a dude who is an apparent caring, super person, but damn-- watch your star usage, Mesquite and Forney and Rockwall and Garland and so on.........

First time visit this morning. Was skeptical that a place with some many random choices would do justice to a Mexican food breakfast. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! The menudo (weekends only) was so good!! Very flavorful, perfect amount of spice/seasoning. The tripe was perfectly sized, lots of hominy, not very fatty. I'm very particular about my menudo and this hit the spot!!! Now on to the tacos, for the price they are very good! I had bacon, egg, papas and cheese. They aren't homemade flour but they were alright. The corn tortillas were good next time I would swap for corn...but they were stuffed full, so tasty. My husband and I split the small menudo, I had a taco and he had two tacos. All for under $13.00 that is a deal for a selfish breakfast. Oh oh oh and I almost forgot one of our favorite parts of my visit- Sultan, the server was the sweetest and nicest kid! I swear my husband is going back just because of him! Seems like a great family run business. Second favorite, The owner Omar visiting the table and being so genuinely happy o have us come in! Felt very good to be appreciated for our patronage!

I stopped by after seeing the rating and reviews on yelp. This place has great customer service. They get five stars just for customer service. It is hard to find exceptional service for a place that is $5 to $10. I had the street tacos and they were wonderful! I wished I lived closer. I will be back to try the pizza.

Amazing hole in the wall Mexican food! Sultan was a superb host and champion of all things Tucker's! We walked into this restaurant hoping to be surprised because it's convenient location in the same building as a gas station convenience store was a little questionable. However once greeted by Sultan our experience began its cosmic trajectory! Sultan's ownership of everything on the menu was astounding. He looks as though he is a teen working in his family restaurant but he carries himself like a seasoned businessman. To be honest, I never asked him his age because I didn't want to prejudge his service. He "owned" everything that was on the menu praising the virtues of the wide variety of fare on the menu. I asked Sultan what he recommended and he began touting the merits of his tacos, gyros, wings, pizza, etc. but all I could hear were the chants of the two regulars behind me, "tacos...tacos...Tacos!" So I chose the tacos. We selected from the authentic barbacoa, lengua, beef and chicken. I chose one lengua, one chicken, and one beef. This all came with rice and beans. I also had to order some onion rings. The food was delightful. Especially the lengua taco. The meat was moist, tender, and perfectly seasoned/marinaded. The onion rings were stellar, seasoned to perfection. Not greasy and perfectly cooked! The only shortcoming on the menu were the refried beans, which were a little bland. But he more than made up for it with his rice which is a exceptional marriage of Mexican rice and Chinese fried rice. I loved it. We all enjoyed this meal with a Mexican cola (imported) and I personally needed a siesta to meditate on the nirvana my taste buds were experiencing. Sultan you and Tucker's will go far if you continue this food and service. Sultan, if I am ever looking for a VP of sales in a major business, I am going to come find you and hire you away from the family business! Sorry mom and dad.

Best tacos in Mesquite, TX right here folks. Yep that's right, attached to the Texaco Station is a little piece of taco heaven. Who'd a thunk it? The breakfast tacos are the best...yummy and priced just right (around $1 each). I've also eaten dinner there a couple of times; well didn't eat there but picked up take-out. The beef fajita style tacos on corn are my fave but they are ALL good. I was in there waiting on my food once when a guy came in and told me that he lives about 2 hours away in East Texas and he makes Tucker's a priority every time he comes to the Dallas area. Pretty impressive! Fast, cheap, delish!

Best tacos hands down, real mexican flavor. I would stay away from there fish, they advertise a "12" piece, you think your getting 12 pieces of fish but they take 6 fillets and cut them in half. I was very disappointed.

It is hard to believe that this gem is in a gas station. Have only recently discovered it, but have come several times since and will continue to return. The staff is all very friendly, and the owner-Omar- is so welcoming. He recognized us as new visitors our first time and came to the table to meet all of us. When we returned he remembered and came over to thank us for returning. He obviously takes pride in what he does- and it shows. The food is great- the tacos were fantastic. I had lengua and barbacoa and both very flavorful and moist. The red and green sauces were also both good. The Philly Cheesesteak was very great. The mushrooms, beef, and cheese were all great and worked together to make a great sandwich. We have also had the gyro calzone. We ordered a Medium and there was more than enough for all four of us to have a nice sized portion. Again- great taste. The meat was delicious and the crust of the calzone just right. The only drawback might be the speed. It is not a place to come if you only have a few minutes, but if you want some great food and to spend a little time relaxing you must try Tucker's the next time you find yourself in the glorious burg of Mesquite!

Great place. Food is great place is clean and service is perfect. Love that they make your food when you order. Which I believe that all restaurant fast food joints should do this. Me and my fiancee had tacos and they were delish.

We had the tacos lunch special and we were very impressed. We've moved to the Dallas area from san Antonio 1 year ago and have had a hard time finding good Tex Mex food. We finally found it. Our server Sultan was awesome. We will definitely be back to try the burgers / pizza / subs. Highly recommended!

Decided to try this place because of the Yelp reviews. I was tired of driving across town for good street tacos and this place is 6 minutes away from me. I must say the reviews were spot on, the service was exceptional, Sultan the cashier was friendly, courteous and pleasant to deal with. The restaurant was very clean and nice decor. The food was out to our table in about 10 minutes. I had the street tacos, beef fajita, barbacoa, and lengua with the traditional fixings of chopped cilantro and onions, topped with green and red salsa. Each taco filling was very good and cooked to perfection. The barbacoa was my favorite, full of flavor and reminded me of my summers in Mexico. If your'e looking for a good authentic street taco, come here...Overall I was glad I made the decision to venture out and try something new. My only complaint is not having enough belly room to try the Tortas, burritos, pizza, and everything else on the menu....!!!

Holy Mother Tucker's!! Well, it's just Tucker's, but it was good enough to smack your mama! This place is a family ran diner attached to a gas station. It is clean and We ordered the Gyro Calzone and it came with a spicy marinara. I tried the marinara with the fries, because the calzone just did not need it. We also shared a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with fries. It too was delicious. These 2 items were large enough for 3 adults to share and take home at least 1/4 of the order. The owner, Omar and his son were the only employees we came in contact with, but they kept up with orders and the busy Saturday demands.

Easily worth 5 stars. After going to Tucker's nearly every day for the past few weeks on my lunch breaks, I can definitely say that this is one of the best experiences you'll have if you're down to eat some amazing, authentic food. I love the burritos...plus the red and green sauce. I haven't been able to get past getting the burrito yet (it's the only thing I've had cause it's frickin bomb!), but I always see people getting dishes that look insanely good. If you still need more convincing, wait till you meet the staff. Omar, the manager is one of the nicest and most genuine people I've met. He remembers me every day and is truly grateful for my business to him. There is also a younger kid who works the register like an absolute boss! What I also like is that they also love the food that they cook! I've been getting the burrito every time, and Omar told me "Oh, man you get the burrito every time! You really need to get the calzone or the burger!! They are so good!!" Well, next time I'll try a burger Omar! And their will be PLENTY of next times.

If you are in the Garland/Mesquite area you MUST go to Tuckers! To say that the food was superb would be an understatement. My wife and I both had street tacos and we're more than impressed. What impressed more than the food, however, was the way in which the owner personally attended to each patron as if they were the only ones in the store. We can't speak for anyone else but Tuckers has definitely earned the business of the Hill Family. You're doing yourself a SUPREME disservice if you do not go!!!!

I Took my family there for the first time. We Ordered just about everything on the menu.It took a time to get are since we ordered a lot of item but it was worth it. OMG, The Pizza was so tasty.I could taste every ingredient in every bit. Then, I had a taco.I had taco from California to Texas and these are one of the best I had. Best Mexican food and pizza place . Customer service is great. It's a very welcoming environment.

Been searching for a really good street taco place for a while... Finally found Tuckers and they are Ahhh- MAZING!! Tacos great, not skimpy on the servings or fixings. Server- Sultan was awesome, friendly and made us feel like regulars... Which we will be now!!! Cannot wait to try the other menu items!!

This hole in the wall is ridiculously good and the service is out of this world. I highly recommend the Barbacoa and asada tacos! I hardly give out 5 stars but this place is well deserving.

  • WaNesha J.

I am going to give it a 4. Sultan is an old soul and that is so welcoming. With me service and customer appreciation means everything. I had Philly cheese steak and the street tacos. The best experience was the beef street taco it was well seasoned. I like mine neat with cilantro onions and lime. The pizza had really good crust and once again the meat was seasoned very well on the Philly. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 was the red peppers. I would have preferred green bell pepper.

So while I'm reluctant to write this review, I feel I must. The food was good and fresh and the service was nice. This review might be thought of as to incite anger or hate, but please understand that is not my intention. It is with a saddened heart that I feel for religious reasons I can't eat there anymore. I looked up the name Halal and to my knowledge it is food sacrificed to a different god than what I serve. While atheist may not see this as an issue and probably would not it is one for me. The way of slaughtering the animal actually seems humane. I do hope the place continues to flourish and I do not wish any ill upon them. I felt I did need to point out that some might not be pleased with these practices. I'm not christian for the record, but do try to walk in love. Halal practices are being used more often nowadays. I just want to inform people of what this means. If I'm wrong and this is not the practice as is stated on their cards then I will apologize as they seem proud of this term and so should be. You can find other information online regarding what it is and make an informed decision. Again, I do not wish to cause issues just inform people. I believe America is awesome because we can choose our own religions and practices. houstonpress.com/restaur… I also found this online and felt it walked in love gotquestions.org/halal-f… I never claim to be an expert here and always welcome an opportunity to be informed and educated.

Found on yelp & had to check it out. Food is eclectic - tacos, enchiladas, pizza, calzone, gyros, chicken, fish - literally something for everyone. The amazing thing is they do it ALL very well. Street tacos were perfect and authentic - barbacoa is amazing! Beef enchiladas have barbacoa inside, not cheap taco meat. To top things off the service is absolutely fantastic! People who love what they do and it shows. Will definitely be back.

What a great surprise just off of 635 in Mesquite. Feeling like you want pizza before 11 AM? What about an extra large pizza? This place has it! How about a calzone? What about tacos? Yep and yep! Service was friendly, and food came out hot and tasty. This is as hole-in-the-wall as it gets. There's a door that connects to the Texaco next door, but don't let that deter you. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the prices were very reasonable. Love supporting local businesses like these. The owner Omar takes pride in delivering a great product. It could only be better if they delivered. Thank you!

I'm off the charts blown away at how good the food is here. I use YELP all the time and I've never seen a place with so many reviews and have a five star rating. And when I heard it was in the gas station I had to make the drive. I travel from Arizona to Dallas but every two weeks for work. So when I'm out here I always try to make it a point to come by one evening and get some grub. The pizza tacos chicken wings are as good as you can get.

Great prices, fresh ingredients, fantastic customer service. The tacos were very good and $5.55 for the 5 tacos lunch special is hard to beat. The torta was on point with a great balance of creaminess with veggies and the fresh grilled chicken took it to the next level. The crinkle cut fries came out crispy and well-seasoned with what I imagine is Lawry's seasoned salt. The calzone had a melty cheesy goodness that never ended and the ingredients tasted fresh and were diced into tiny pieces and spread evenly throughout. The bread was crispy and a little oily but a beautiful brown color and you have the option of spiciness for the marinara dip - I opted for spicy and enjoyed the extra kick. The gyro sandwich was also very good - the meat was in chunks instead of strips and the peppery seasoning was subtle but enjoyable. The tzaziki sauce was creamy and tasty. Again it was covered in fresh ingredients and wrapped in a pillowy toasted pita bread. We especially enjoyed how polite and helpful the cashier was. Simple cafeteria style interior but the decorations were nice and everything was clean.

I can't say enough about the courtesy of the staff. They give the impression that your happiness is the number one thing on their list of priorities. Today was my first time to go and there will definitely be another time. I had the combination calzone and a barbacoa taco and have absolutely nothing negative to say about either. I look forward to going back.

Oh my goodness! I decided to try this place out for me and my hubbys weekly cheat meal after church today, I had read all the reviews on here and was excited for some menudo! They were out of menudo already @12:30....bummer, but I settled for the barbacoa tacos w/beans and rice and the hubby got the garlic parmesan wings....So freaking good, all of it! The young man who took our order was extremely nice and helpful and the gentleman who brought our food out was as well, customer service means a lot and this place was awesome. Can't wait to come back and try the other items....everything they brought out to other customers look yummy!

Ok, just finished our meal at Tucker's and I gotta say first of all that yes, the owner is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed, despite how busy he was in getting orders out to people when we first arrived. We placed our order at the counter and sat at a table to eat in. It took a while for us to get our food, and frankly, would've deducted one star for this, but once we got our food, I saw that it was worth the wait. I wouldn't think that a place that serves everything from pizza, to burgers, catfish and wings would actually have good tacos, but I gotta say that these were some of the best I've eaten in Dallas ever since I moved here from El Paso. I got the barbacoa tacos and my half got the fajita beef in flour tortilla tacos (yes, flour-blasphemy for tacos-but I digress). Both meat selections were very flavorful, had the right amount of fat, and not tough or chewy-fajita meat that is, as barbacoa is shredded perfection. And this isn't your typical barbacoa either...it seems to be prepared in a very tasty sauce. We also got an order of the buffalo wings, which seems to be on roids as they were big and pretty good. The medium calzone was more than enough for both of us and really had a good marinara sauce, but especially liked the crust. This sure was a lot of great food for the price and will definitely be making the trip out to Tucker's again. P.S. Was going to take pictures but once I started eating the tacos I couldn't bring myself to leave any of this food unattended.....then again we all know what tacos and calzones look like.

This no-nonsense eatery, that shares space with a Texaco station, features a gyro that is quite possibly the most flavorful I've ever had. The gyro meat is insanely good. The tzatziki (white sauce) really pulls it all together. It's reminiscent of the various pita sandwiches you can pick up from street vendors in Manhattan, but better. Plus for the amount of food, it's a great value at $5.99--guaranteed to leave you full and happy. The tacos are pretty good. The beef ones are better than the fajita chicken. I didn't try the lengua, but I imagine it's good. One of the best things about this place is it's affable owner, Omar. He will guarantee that your food comes out promptly, that it is good, and he's just an all-around good guy. He cares about his customers and employees.

as a restaurant owner my self, of the house of gyros, that understands the virtues of hospitality and the art of cooking not for what many consider your costumer but your treasured guest, i decided today to venture along with my my wife and visit tuckers. i wanted to witness for my self the five star ratings and superb costumer comments that this place gets. as well as to meet the people that make this possible.. and so, i assumed my my new role as a food critic and instead of choosing to treat my self to a corporate overrated conglomerate at the restaurant row, we went to tuckers. once there and upon entering we where greeted with a mile long smile of a man proud of his creation and his art. approaching the counter to order we begin to study the menu and realizing that it was taking us time to select, the man (soon after we learned that he was the owner Omar), said in the gentlest and comforting voice that it was ok for us take our time. i immediately knew that this man is there for his costumers pleasure. i opted for the catfish and my wife for the burrito. i do not know or care if he prepares the catfish or byes it, all i can say is that even though i usually don't care for the cornmeal breading, this catfish was simply superb. i could not finish the healthy portion accompanied with perfectly seasoned fries and green beans, but i made sure to take the little that was left with me for later. we did revile our self's to Omar as the owners of the house of gyro, because we wanted to express our admiration to him for his costumers outstanding comments. after leaving, i ask my wife of her opinion of her burrito and she said. " hell, this burrito puts to shame any other shes ever had or the the so called famed chipotle or whatever the name is. now why would one restaurant owner would take the time or would wand to endorse another restaurant? i will tell you. as a restaurant owner my self that sees his food is not cooking but an art and his costumers as his guests to be cherished, we witness Omar at tuckers and his passion for perfection. we tasted his food and marveled at his young son running not a restaurant but as conductors of an orchestra creating a melody. judging of what we had we certain that all of his food is as superb as the items we tried. we are certain that next time we probably will not even look at the menu board but simply close our eyes and point to something and it will be as good as it can get. we highly recommend tuckers for anyone to experience and judge for your self's. do not expect a lot of fanfare just great food made with love served by a family that understands that you are their treasured guest. we wish tuckers the best Bill and Vickie.

I saw Tucker's had 5 stars and 24 reviews (at the this time) so I had to try it out. I pull up and realize that it's a gas station. I think "oh no. There must be a mistake". I initially came here because I wanted Mexican food. Then I notice that they serve Mexican food, pizza, burgers, wings, gyros, subs, fish, etc so I think there's no way a gas station that doesn't even specialize in one thing can have 5 stars. I nearly drove off but decided to give it a try. They were super busy. The owner was swamped with customers and orders but he was very friendly, personable, and oddly likable. He was doing all he could to take care of everyone of his guests and made you feel welcome. I ordered the enchiladas. I expected some tortillas with ground beef and a meat sauce akin to wolf brand chili or nacho cheese. Nope! It was shredded beef that was seasoned amazingly tucked into three tortillas with a red chili pepper sauce. This sauce was packed with flavor. It had a slight kick but wasn't very hot. These were some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. The beans were nothing short of the best beans I've had anywhere. A little sprinkle of melted shredded cheese on top. The rice was a little bland though. It just didn't hold up to the flavor of the beans and enchiladas. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. I'll be back and I'll be bringing friends.

This little restaurant could easily be missed or dismissed, but that's why there's Yelp! This place rocks for street style tacos, with all the traditional flavors of beef, barbacoa, lengua (beef tongue), chicken and steak. Go with corn tortillas, and experiment with the red and green house sauces. You can get 3, 5, or up to 20(?!) tacos at a time, and they're super cheap without sacrificing flavor or care. You can see the cook prep individual orders, so it's good food fast. I only had tacos (comboed with some delicious rice and beans), but they have an immense rest of the menu, with torta sandwiches, enchiladas, to standard American fare like pizza, chicken tenders, burgers, etc. There is a small seating area inside that was kept very clean. Also, good selection of Mexican cola. Trust the reviews, and when you see it, take the chance and dive in, I'm sure glad I did.

What a gem. I just tried this little place last night. The reviews are dead on. I predict this will be the first of infinite visits. I recently moved to the Bob Town area in Garland and was looking for a quick bite nearby. We tried the steak fajitas and the garlic wings. Wow. Best street tacos in the entire DFW for me. In the relentless pursuit to find the best taquerias around I make it my business to try most holes-in-the wall that come across my way. Traditionally they tend to be the most flavorful. I've been burnt quiet a few times in this effort mind you, food poisoning and all. I know a good taco though. This ranks amongst the best...matter of fact it is the best hands down, closely followed by Taqueria Monterrey and Jamal's in that order. I need to buy shares in this place! It's that good. What a delight to be treated so cordially and honestly. You do not find this type of genuine treatment in today's corrupt and dishonest business environment. I hope they stay this way. And more importantly I hope he's not bought over by some crooked, poisoning corporate chain or personality. Keep up the good work Omar. May The Good Lord always be with you. En hora buena!

I wanted something to eat, and my wife selected this place. I didn't expect much considering it was attached to a gas station. The reviews made her pick the place, and now I have to add one. The owner.. The guy at the counter who took my order.. He was incredibly nice. He seemed so grateful for our business. He explained the food sizes... I eat a lot more than it appears I can handle. He said the burritos were pretty large, so I gave it a try. This thing was 2 pounds of "Heaven". The folks in the back made it once my order was taken, so it took a few minutes to get. The wait was totally worth it. Chipotle can't compete with this burrito. I could keep praising the place, but you need to try it for yourself. It wasn't cheap. Two drinks and two burritos cost us 18 bucks. But it wasn't overpriced for the size of these things! Do yourself a favor and give this place a chance.

Similar to other reviews, friendly staff and amazing food. It does take a while to get your food but once it's in front of you its worth the wait. I had the gyro and churros, both were ridiculously good, probably the best I have ever had. I also don't usually get excited about hot sauce but their hot sauce deserves its own five stars.

Found a new little honey-hole! We tried it out because of the great review. It was not a disappointment. Excellent customer service by all the employees! And they bought us a breakfast burrito because it was our first time. We will be back.... Very soon!

First off, they have the best burgers, tenders, and subs I have ever had! Owners are extremely friendly and I will definitely return. The food is full of flavor and believe the owner when he tells you that you'll love it! It's apart of a gas station but well kept and extremely clean.

Super clean and family owned. Customer service is amazing. I even met a customer who drives across town just to eat here and now I know why! The chicken wings are so delicious trust me! They have this airy crispy texture and are not overly greasy. When my little one comes along we order the small pizzas which are made from scratch! Just love this hidden treasure! We are crazy fans over the Fajita Beef tacos and green salsa! We have our families now all on board with Tucker's!

This was my first time at Tucker's Grill and Taqueria and it was scrumptious I looked up lunch specials on Yelp and I came across this place. I had a small pepperoni pizza and my husband have the lunch special, 5 tacos for $5.55. The pizza was hot and fresh I had no complaints! The sauce was just right and there was so much cheese and pepperoni on this small pizza. My husband said his steak tacos were great! The food is 4 stars but the service bumps this place up to 5 stars. You'er treated with kindness from the minute you walk through the door til the moment you leave. The people here are great and attentive. I've been back twice and it remains the same

To date I've only been three times. First 2 times I have tried the tacos (combo of fajita, barbacoa, chicken, and lengua). The meats seem as if they sit in water before serving. I say this because water just drips from the tacos onto the plate and I have to use a napkin to soak it up otherwise the rest of the tacos will sit in it. Other than that I would suggest you request them to drain them before serving. My last visit I ordered a calzone which was really good. The marinara sauce they give you has some spice added to it which is very good. I suggest you let it sit for a minute or two so the cheese can cool down and make everything stick. Overall it is a good place to eat. I will go back and try other menu items. BTW: Lunch time is busy & can take a while as they are busy with 1 cook (on my 3 visits). You might wanna call in your order ahead of time.

Incredible food for a little hole in the wall attached to Texaco and very reasonably priced. Everything is good and full of flavor. Today I ordered the beef enchiladas and they blew my mind. This place ranks among my top 3. Maybe even tied for first place. I haven't tried their breakfast yet but I bet it's as awesome as their lunch and diner.

I never would have guessed what deliciousness was tucked away at Tucker's. After all, it's connected to a gas station and with such a wide variety of menu items, it's very easy to do a lot of things OK instead of a few things really well. I had lunch during the week with some friends and I ordered the barbacoa tacos and for only about $5 bucks, I got some tacos with rice and beans on the side. The meat was a little too soggy for my taste, but it was also flavorful and tender, so I would just ask for them to drain the meat before they serve it to me. I definitely will be heading back.

excellent place to go. decided to try after reading other yelp reviews and was not disappointed at all. customer service has always been excellent, and I'm bringing friends to taste their good food. very reasonably priced, especially the lunch special. tacos are delicious, and I love both of the sauces that comes with the tacos. the gyros are some of the best I've had.

I used to be yelp elite. Then got so busy with work and my businesses that I was lost from yelp. But now im found. I came back to make sure people like me...aka foodies learn about this place. TUCKERS ...hole in wall place behind town east mall. Friend on facebook would always post how good the food was. So of course that brought me back to yelp it. Omg the gyro was awesome. $5 for a nice filling meal. Tasted awesome. Not cheap quality or fake like most ive had elsewhere. Too many onions for me but next time ill ask for less. Tried the tacos. Great meats. Quality. Cooked right. Tasted awesome. Friendly staff. Owner was nice. Asked if I south indian and gave me the spicy sauce lol. Will be here often to try the rest of the menu ....give them a try.

Places like this are few and far in between. The food is excellent and the service is even better. I had the fried catfish with their special green hot sauce and it was wonderful. I will definitely return and I highly recommend it.

We live in Mesquite, and this is our go-to place for street tacos. They also have breakfast tacos in addition to regular dinner menu. The hot sauce is HOT! Get ready. But that's what makes this place so unique. And the meat is halal!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
