Well I'm officially done with Starbucks. I got breakfast and a TRENTA aka LARGE coffee for 4 bucks and some change. The staff acted like they wanted to be there and they have gluten free food! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

This is a follow up to my review- talk about customer service! Got a call, they were friendly and were kind enough to give me a gift card equal to at least twice the amount of my original meal. Love Dunkin and will keep coming back!

My cousin turned me onto Dunkin Donuts because it's really big on the east coast where she lives. They don't cream cheese the bagels as well here though as they do in Jersey but what can you expect when half an inch of cream cheese is the norm on the east coast? This is the only location in Austin, which is great because it's super close to me, but they also have one in Round Rock and one in Cedar Park. I mainly come here for the iced coffees. It's a great deal for the size. Around $2.30 for a medium which is probably the size of a large at Starbuck's. Granted Starbuck's may taste a little better. Download their app and you can get rewards and they have coupons often as well. If you bring a refill cup you can get your coffee for 99 cents.

This Dunkin Donuts is the worst. What's so bad? The customer service. (It wouldn't hurt you to say "Hello", donut man.) and the place itself did not look too clean. I could look past that because I really wanted some donuts holes. Of course, they were out so I bought glaze donuts. What I cannot excuse, is the cardinal sin: STALE DONUTS! That's what you make! That's part of the name of the business! We passed up Crispy Creme (my favorite) because my husband likes Dunkin Donuts. But when he tasted the STALE glaze donut, he couldn't believe his tastebuds. Upon closer inspection, there was little glaze on it and it look more like two day old yellow bread. We threw them out. I don't remember Dunkin Donuts being this bad. Well that's another restaurant to cross off the list.

In my adult life I've never gone to Dunkin Donuts. After being up all night after the passing of a relative, my boyfriend drove me to get something to eat (drive thru of course). When we got there the line was long but moved quickly. I had no clue what I wanted as far as donut flavors go. When we got to the menu there were no donut flavors listed anywhere. My boyfriend asked if they had a listing of the flavors anywhere and the girl taking the orders told us they have something crazy like 1600 donut flavors so they can't post them because they're always changing. I was annoyed that a place calling Dunkin DONUTS didn't have a single flavor of donut listed anywhere on the menu. I just wan't in the mood for the shenanigans so we went to Krispy Kreme down the street....where the flavors are listed on the menu. My suggestion? Put up one of those pre-menus lots of drive through places have with some of the staple flavors. I probably won't be going back.

the service is great the only bad non coffee beverage i had was their iced teas even the flavored iced teas are not good but their mint chocolate is excellent. and the hours are pretty good. I had not had a doughnut in a long time or a pastry so i cannot comment on those just the beverage!

We went to Dunkin Donuts last night on a seemingly fast shame spiral. We needed donuts, stat. Not only were they delicious, but the staff was super accommodating with our giggly choices. Kudos to you Dunkin. You are delicious.

I love you Dunkin. I'll drive the 7 miles in the early morning to taste your cake donuts any Saturday. (They are the best cake donuts this town has ever seen. Don't let anyone tell you differently.) You make my coffee for me. You smell like my childhood. You have a drive-thru. You let me kids pick out each individual donut in the dozen. You spell donut the right way. I wish there could be more of you in town.

I like this Dunkin Donuts! I used to live across 183 from here and would swing through the drive thru quite often on Saturdays. I'm always a fan of donut places with a drive thru so I don't even have to get out of my pjs when I want donut(s) on the weekend. I really liked their 2 donuts and a coffee deal. Their coffee is so good now! I love that they add any sugar and cream to your coffee for you in the drive thru! So convenient!

I am not a fan of Krispy Kreme so I was super excited when my job moved north and I got the start frequenting Dunkin'! The coffee is delicious and much more affordable the Starbucks, the donuts are always fresh and the staff is always informative and friendly. It's a drive through and whether there are 8 cars or none, they always move through very quickly and efficiently.

In the northeast, you can't swing a cat with out hitting a Dunkin' Donuts. While I've long heard rumors of more Dunkin Donuts coming to Austin, I have not seen the results. This one seems a bit random. They don't sell any travel mugs (which are $6.00 filled-a great deal) and they played crap music from the radio that mostly consisted of commercials. I'm not much of a donut eater, but I remember that Dunkin's are quite good, The coffee is damn good for the price and I only wished there were more of them in Central Austin. While I generally don't go to chains, I would make an exception for the Dunkin' Coffee.

This one was the only one I could find! We didn't have any close by where I lived in California, so I was excited to see this one. The lady behind the register did not acknowledge us at all until we started speaking to her . We ordered an iced coffee, a coolata, munchkins and kolaches. She never gave us our kolaches. We figured they were cooking and we sat there for 20 minutes before we went back up there. She totally forgot about them. They do have wifi for 2 hours. Not bad. Not that great either. Random location, but better than nothing. They have a drive-thru as well.

I can't quite decide how I feel about this place. The hazelnut coffee is good and cheap ($1.49 for the 14 oz. medium, $2.61 if you add a muffin), and if you like your coffee plenty sweet and creamy, opt to have the milk and sugar added. The regular coffee is too bitter for me, but that's just a personal taste thing. So far I haven't met a muffin from here that I haven't liked, but occasionally there's a bit in the bottom center of the muffin that doesn't seem to have been baked all the way through. Not so much a fan of raw muffin batter :/ The staff here is also pretty hit or miss. A couple of the girls are really nice and pay great attention to getting your order to you quickly, correctly, and with a smile. Unfortunately, one woman in particular always leaves me feeling like I should be apologizing for interrupting her day by asking for a cup of coffee. I get that this probably isn't her dream job, but glaring at everyone who walks through the door isn't exactly helping her win friends and influence people. In the end, I recognize that you do get what you pay for, and I am happy to be able to get a fast, inexpensive cup of coffee close to work, even if the curved design of the drive-thru is a bit tight for those of us who dare to drive an SUV in Austin.

Putrid. Grotesque. Awful. I got a plain glazed donut, took one bite and had to spit it out. I was literally gagging. People actually eat these donuts...on purpose? Don't even get me started on their coffee...maybe I'm a coffee snob but this coffee is worse than Folgers.

I love Dunkin Donuts coffee but it wasn't too good at this location.

Let me tell you why Dunkin Donuts is a well crafted franchise donut: 1) They recognize the all-powerful cake donut. I am a coffee dunker and the stability and absorbency of cake donuts (especially Dunkin Donuts) are far superior to any regular raised donut. In fact, over-glazed donuts are a nuisance: they create a unpermeable layer of sugar that blocks any coffee from soaking in. Preposterous! Fortunately, Dunkin Donuts always offers a good selection of cake donuts. The coffee's not bad either, especially for dunking. 2) Speaking of glaze. Too much of it is bad. No need to have a sugar lacquer, varnish, and sealant to mask the taste of the dough! I like tasting my baked goods. I flick those stupid toppings off of cupcakes, and I usually go for the center piece of the birthday cake. 3) DD is one of the few donut chains to switch to low trans-fat oils-- palm, soybean, etc. It makes a difference in the taste, too (for the better, I think). Here's what I always order: 1 maple raised, 1 blueberry cake, 1 plain cake, and something I've never tried. Go to a DD in asia and they have cool flavors like jackfruit, lychee, and mango!

I don't have one close to me and I had a craving yesterday morning. The place was very busy and there was no clear idea where the line actually was. Then I get asked waht I want so I started giving the combo of donuts I wanted and the employee behind the counter rudely cut me off to ask me how many I was getting. She's still vocally trying to check me out while another employee *behind* her I cannot even make eye contact with starts asking which donuts I want. This was the most ridiculous way I have ever seen a place wait on customers ever. The donuts were soft fresh and tasty and that is what kept this location from receiving a 2 star rating.

  • Beverly H.

The doughnuts here are sub par, the staff is lame and they get orders wrong most of the times I have ever been here. Why can't there be a Shipley's near my work?! I would rather get a grocery store doughnut and coffee than go here again.

Dunkin' Donuts coffee is perfect. I don't like that parking lot. They were out of pumpkin donuts this morning. I'll get there earlier next weekend.

How psyched am I that the only DD in town is on my way to work? I love their iced coffee. The donuts are fine but I don't really care for donuts. I like to bring Munchkins to work sometimes.

Their coffee tastes burnt... Does it taste burnt or is it just me? Everyone in the northeast swears by DD coffee. But I just don't get it.

Dunkin has changed very much over the last 2 years, the glaze does not solidify on the maple glazed, same for the vanilla glaze, you can't take any to work as the glaze is stuck onto the donut behind, maybe if they had boxes where the donuts lay flat? Worse though is their selection shrunk, there is very little selection anymore. When I want my Friday donut (carb allowance :) I have started to buy at a new donut company in NW Austin. I would like the old Dunkin back, they no longer have donut holes with jelly in them.. I know it's all part of the upscale look, but to me, a good selection and glazes that stay put are what a donut is all about.

This Dunkin Donuts location is in very convenient location and their drive-thru is great. I like their variety (but then I also like their competitors just a few feet down the road too).

I just spent the last 5 years in Boston so my perspective on DD's is much different. I was upset to find that Austin has no DD's and only expensive Starbucks. When I found the lonely little DD's all the way up North, (kind of pain to get to because you have to go all the way down and do a U-turn) I was very excited to get my caffeine intake. I was very disappointed with the coffee. It had a funny taste to it, nothing like the coffee I was use to. I thought it was a bad batch and went back a 2nd time, and it was just as bad. I was very sad. I then started trying local coffee shops to replace my beloved Dunky D's. I miss new England. Coffee is not the same down here. I have learned to accept Starbucks so we date now and I have broken up with DD's but when I go up North I will cheat on Starbucks. I guess the benefit of no more DD's is I don't drink coffee as much. It's more work to get coffee here vs up north DD's was on every corner. I don't really eat donuts so I can't really comment on whether they are good or not. They look good.

PROS: Best doughnuts ever, best drip coffee *ever*, free wifi, Happy Hour 3-5pm CONS: No smiles, no receipts, loud, time limit on wifi, illiterates write their Web content CLEANLINESS/AMBIANCE This DD has been renovated in recent years and is super clean, with more seating than before and big windows; there are even 2 tables outside (what an awesome view of 183! woo-hoo!). On my early-afternoon visit, there was initially no music, then they turned on KISS FM (mostly innocuous--not good, by any stretch--pop music; in fact, you'll look forward to the ads). Still, this is a big improvement over their previous "all crap country all the time" fare (I'm not ragging on good country, just crap country), which was mandated by the (apparently hostile, redneck) owner, according to staff I asked on my last visit, more than a year ago. But my thinking is, this place is in Austin and should play local music stations, such as KGSR and KUT, or local artists' music. In any case, bring your earbuds. COFFEE The "mocha latte" (if you say so, DD) was way to sweet, tasted nothing like coffee, and was suffocated in whipped cream that was, in turn, drowned in syrup. The Dunkin' Donuts coffee (I had a regular after I finished the sweet thing) is freaking amazing, as always. (I grew up in the Northeast, where it rules, and rightly so.) Sitting there for more than 2 hours, I happened to stumble upon Happy Hour (3pm-5pm), when coffee is half off, making a large coffee just 80 cents. I buy their beans to brew coffee at home. There is no drip coffee in the USA that even approaches the high quality of DD's. I know folks who love the burnt Starbucks stuff, so I guess it's always a matter of taste, but if I wanted to lick an ashtray, I'd go lick an ashtray, not pay $2 for Starbucks drip. (I prefer Starbucks mochas, though.) DOUGHNUTS My chocolate "kreme"-filled doughnut was fresh and bliss-inducing. Why the quotes? I love these doughnuts, and/but it cracks me up that they call the filling "kreme"; I guess the misspelling is their way of admitting that, while there may be dairy in it, it's just creamy-looking; in fact, though, it's whipped chocolate frosting. I love it, I love it. And *only* 300 calories. Next time I guess I should *walk* here from my place (10+ miles away). (I neglected to ask if Happy Hour applies to doughnuts, too.) Krispy Kreme is down the road, but I can't understand how anyone could rate their doughnuts (much less their coffee, which is the worst ever!) as better; I feel vaguely sick after just one bite of those glaze-saturated KK donuts. But, hey, there's room for two doughnut chains, right? STAFF Quietly friendly but unsmiling, slow, and confused staff at 1pm (and one was a manager!); a quicker, if also unsmiling, server at 3pm. I wasn't offered/given a receipt for either purchase, which is irritating. You'd think that for as long as I was sitting there a manager would have taken a moment to ask how everything was, but no. The music volume went up a lot after 3:30, which was quite annoying and inconsiderate since I was obviously working and the music was clearly just for the staff's enjoyment. It gave me the impression that eating in is discouraged. When a worker came out to clean up and empty the trashcans, she made a racket that suggested she was either oblivious to my presence (after serving me only 15 minutes before) or doesn't know how to make customers feel welcome. WIRELESS Free wifi, but only 2 outlets (close to each other) and a 2-hour limit that I couldn't seem to get around: a self-defeating policy for them since there were plenty of empty tables and the longer I sit, the more coffee I buy. While I was there, only twice was another table occupied, and only briefly. There are no homes nearby so no way the neighborhood could be using their wifi signal to excess, so what's the point of this time limit? I was probably the only person all day to use the wifi there. (Krispy Kreme, btw, imposes no such limit.) A GREEN POINT They add the cream for you behind the counter instead of handing out tiny plastic creamers (Hint: give them a color, or your coffee may be too light). ONE BIG BAD It seems illiterates write their email ads and Web site content. BATHROOM Generally clean, but there was hair in the sink, and I guess they've never heard of a toilet brush.

This is the second time that I have visited this Dunkin Donuts 7+hours before they close and they have barely any donuts. I asked for double chocolate the last time and they said they don't carry it??? HUH? Today was national donut day so they only had 2 flavors.....I'm from Connecticut where DD is plentiful and always stocked. I'm not use to this lack of delicious donuts!!!!

This morning I was put in the tragic situation of being both completely exhausted and completely out of coffee fixin's... in a panic I remembered the DD down the street and blindly stumbling out for what I've heard is very tasty coffee... what I've heard was wrong. I have drank some really terrible coffee in my life for the sake of not killing everyone around me.. McDonald's, 711, instant Folgers, the sludge served in my office masquerading as a cuppa joe. But this.. this was the first and only undrinkable latte I have ever had. Perhaps I should have stuck with plain coffee? I was suspicious the moment the drink was in my hand.. it was so quick, and the cup felt so light. After driving away and a bit of investigation I found that my cup was filled with 60% foam, and the little coffee there was, was blistering hot. But it wasn't just that.. there was, an odor to the coffee. Dare I say an odor of meat? How does one make a latte that smells of meat? The world will never know. One sip confirmed that unlike the nasty brews mentioned above, there would be no way to choke this down. Needless to say I am now (somewhat) happily working my way through a cup of office sludge will my DD coffee sits at the bottom of my trash can. Also-my bagel was tasty but spread upon with the barest and saddest little layer of cream cheese.. I am rife with disappointment.

In tonights edition of "How to ruin a customer's experience" we were taken to Dunkin Donuts... WHICH I LOVE and WHICH YOUR EMPLOYEES RUINED! Tonight my girlfriend had a craving for donuts and suggested some other company which I have never heard of because I'm an east coast guy... I only know Dunkin Donuts for how great they are... so I convinced her to skip the other place and go here. I wish I hadn't. The staff seemed decent enough to start with... we ordered 2 donuts, my usual iced coffee and her usual latte and all was pretty cool... until one staffer bragged to the other that he was going to make the guy in the drive thru's day by giving him 2 donuts... my girlfriend looked at me and I seriously, but in a joking way asked "wait... do we get free donuts as well then?" Perhaps I didn't have the right look or maybe it was because they only want to be kind to some customers rather than others, but we were immediately ignored, she was given her latte that we had waited for and at that point another customer had come in which they switched their attention to to pretend our conversation never happened. Sad thing is that they also forgot to give us our 2 donuts that we had PAID for... unlike the guy at the drive thru who I guess was just luckier than us that day... maybe they thought he was hotter or something... who knows? While the guy behind the counter was actively trying to ignore us, I had to work a little harder to get his attention to mention that he had forgotten our donuts... which was a perfect time to give us a free donut to make up for obvious favoritism for someone else... I guess not. He huffed, threw our donuts in a bag quickly and basically tossed them at us. Seriously Dunkin? What's wrong with your staff? 1 star. Maybe I'll try to find a donut franchise where we're the right demographic or look to have favor with the staff.r

TIME TO MAKE THE DONUTS!!!!! What? Do you people get up at 0100 hours to start making these sugary nuts?!! Seriously, DD has been an American staple since Bill Rosenberg woke up one morning in 1950 with his nuts in hand. That morning he proclaimed that he needed to make "the nuts". OK, maybe not all that is true, but, you know, it's a nut thang. Interestingly enough, DD is the world's leader in baked goods and coffee! I'm not a huge sweet fan, but, I have had my DD moments. When I was stationed in England there was a DD on the base. I would pop in most mornings and get a coffee and cinnamon roll. I love the whole idea of DD, simply because it is all American. I'm so glad Mr. Rosenberg franchised out his nuts back in 1955. Today, his nuts are serving more than 3 million customers a day world wide!! If only my nuts could be that popular!

I can't say anything nicer about the staff here. I am on an americorps team, currently deployed to Texas to help with the Memorial Day flood cleanup. My team and I went in here for coffee on our way to work early Saturday and we were met with so many "thank you for your service" from everyone working in the store. Everyone came out to thank us and made us feel welcome and it was a wonderful way to start our day. We live on a very small volunteer stipend and the woman behind the counter knew that and gave us a discount. Even the manager came out to shake our hands and thank us for the work we are doing here in Texas. My team and I left this location smiling, arms full of coffee and doughnuts, and filled with gratitude. Thank you to everyone who works here. You made our day! And the coffee is amazing as always!!!!

I had a gift certificate so, I decided to venture to the only Dunkin Donuts location in Austin! The store itself is newer looking, has ample seating, friendly staff and the prices are decent. I ordered an iced coffee which was a bit on the sweet side (they premix the cream and sugar for you). I also got a bacon, egg and cheese bagel with a side of their hash browns. After ordering we went and sat down and waited and one of the workers asked if I wanted my sandwich on either a sesame or cinnamon raisin bagel. I chose the sesame obvisouly because I just can't imagine the other mixing well with my sandwich toppings. The hash browns were interesting. They were burnt around the edges but, soggy in the middle and had a hint of rosemary. I liked the flavor but, they were poorly cooked. I am going to review the sandwich piece by piece. The bagel was hard and chewy with way too many sesame seeds for my liking. The bacon was sparse, the egg tasted like it was boiled in water or steamed (it had a soggy and flavorless taste to it) and the cheese was like paste. Overall really disappointing since they look so tasty on the menu and the price was higher than most breakfast sandwich combos. I should really just stick to regular coffee and doughnuts at Dunkin!

I am a recent coffee addict and Dunkin Donuts has been the best thing to happen to me this year (slightly exaggerated but you get the point). The iced coffee is delicious and sweeter than most places (aka Starbucks). I get sweet vanilla in my iced latte, but you can also opt for the unsweetened option. The line is never outrageous; the entire process usually takes less than 5 minutes despite if it's in the morning or the afternoon. The staff is also very friendly and makes the experience enjoyable. I will always choose DD over Starbucks!

I walked into Dunkin Donuts this Friday morning at 11 am, mouth watering for my favorite powdered sugar munchkins, only to be told there weren't any! OK, how about just a powdered sugar donut? No, we're out of those too! I don't understand how a store that only serves donuts can be sold out by 11 am. .....no explanation from the giggly girl at the counter......she seemed perplexed too! Where are Dunkin Donuts made- onsite or off? Couldn't be onsite because the donut makers would be making more! So, where are these donuts coming from? Kind of hard to figure out how this happens and sadly, it's not the first time. So we walked next door to Mighty Fine and bought some breakfast tacos. I would suggest that you ask your employees to do better than shrug and giggle when they run out of a customer's favorite donut. Kinda makes you not wanna go back.

Nothing to complain about. Just... Every Dunkin Donuts north of the Mason-Dixon knows a hot medium regular is a medium, hot coffee with cream and sugar. Make people ask for black if they want regular black coffee. Being an establishment from Mass, please do not try to be like Starclucks.

OK, It probably didn't help that I was a bit hung over from the night before, but isn't Dunkin Donuts-type fare supposed to be good hangover food? The lovely Carmela S invited me along (how could I say no?) and I only needed two things--coffee, and some kind of breakfast sandwich. That's it. No beef wellington or foie gras; simply hot coffee and an egg sammich of some sort. We previewed the fare from the Dunkin Donuts app, and I spotted the apple-chicken sausage and egg on an English muffin. As if to reinforce my selection, there was a big poster of the same sandwich greeting me as I entered the building. All seemed to go as planned. But then, the food arrived. The coffee was tepid, weak, and over-sweetened. (They pre-sweetened it for me--I can't recall if I asked them to or not) The sandwich was soggy, as if it were steamed or microwaved. The hash rounds were a strange, greasy consistency, BUT, they did have a nice rosemary-type seasoning going on. Great flavor, weird texture. Carmela had some issues with hers as well, but I can't recall what they were. All-in-all, the experience left us with an overall "meh" feeling. I LOVE Dunkin Donuts, don't get me wrong. I've been a fan of the Double D since I was a kid. Maybe, I'll just stick to donuts, and sweeten my own coffee next time...

I really like DD! This place for is reasonably priced and not expensive as other coffee shops. The staff has been very friendly since I started to come here throughnthe drive through. They specials and deals all the time. A lot more assorted flavors of coffee. I just wished they had more locations in the Austin area. There is another one in Round Rock. overall I enjoy the coffee here.

Oh, how I miss Dunkin' Donuts. Coming from the East Coast, they were everywhere. Living in California, there are none. Only time we get the Dunkin' Donuts fix, is when we're back on the East Coast. Driving back one night to the hotel, we stumbled upon a Dunkin' Donuts and promptly went back the next morning to get our fix. Blueberry cake donut, a coffee and box of munchkins made us very, very happy.

I am from Massachusetts where there's a Dunkin Donuts on every block! As I traveled (drove) down to Texas from Mass I would hit up Dunkin Donuts when we came across one. Once we left New England it was terrible! They don't understand simple ordering terms from up North and the service wasn't that good.. Now that that rant is over. I was very pleasantly surprised with this location! They got my order right, it tasted perfect. I've always been a sucker for their donuts. I have been to this location a couple times and have been happy. It is out of my way so I don't go often. I will definitely stop again when I am in that area.

I was a bigger fan years ago. It was nice to have a donut and a bagel here instead of two bagels at Einsteins. They made several changes, though, which I don't view as an improvement. They cut back the hours. They changes the bagels and I don't like them as much. Weekend mornings have long lines. I don't drink coffee, but I would suggest Blue Baker instead for bagels and baked goods.

Keep Austin local, keep it weird, blah blah blah, etc. Nah, I'm good. Absolutely nothing wrong with a wholesome chain donut. Maybe because I'm not from Houston and like Pavlov's dog, Shipley's has conditioned me to think I'm at the office. I'm not from Winston Salem, NC, and a glazed Krispy Kreme donut makes me feel like I ate nothing and I'm 300 calories heavier. (A pound is 3500 calories so you do the math) And I don't live in Round Rock either so I don't really eat their donuts but that's just because Round Rock donuts has the weirdest hours. I swear they have the hours of a bank that only operates on Saturdays. Above all the aforementioned donut shops, I will pick a chocolate frosted cake donut from Dunkin Donuts ten times out of ten. You may not understand why but I don't understand why frat dudes like wearing stonewashed Lee jeans and baggy fishing shirts.

Unfortunately I have to give at least one star... but it does not deserve it. Staff? SUPER RUDE Donuts? what was left..STALE Store? FILTHY LOOKING I have been here a few times in the past and every time I go I end up not getting what I want because they are out of something. so I leave. This time... I got something different. in a word.. STALE. Some of the rudest staff members I think I've ever seen. Absolutely ridiculous. This place needs to be shut down, seriously. I am not one to sit and just bad mouth a place, but this is insane. I would not recommend anyone going here unless you are DESPERATE for a donut and do not care what you get...or drunk one.

Sweet tooth cravings. I freaking love you and always have since I was a little kid! I'm loyal to you baby. Don't ever disappoint me. OK, did a rat just run through your parking lot? Oh well, their everywhere.

I'm normally one to support mainly local establishments but damn, I love me some Dunkin Donuts. Admittedly, I'm only giving more money to a mass corporation that surely has enough cash to buy all the baby girls in china, but they make killer coffee. So yea yea whatevs, I'm a sell out for good caffeine and flour. DD makes an ok glazed, but the cake donuts are where it's at. The blueberry makes me happy that I'm not a diabetic. More so, the seasonal pumpkin swirl iced coffee blows Starbucks away. Sorry. It's. The. Truth. Period. And snaps, it's like half the cost! The drive-thru usually moves pretty fast and the service has always been stellar. I can't imagine being surrounded by coffee and donuts and not be happy. Come here if: You love iced coffee, cake donuts, drive-thrus, a cheap breakfast and speedy service. Don't come if: You're wanting a good glazed donut (go to KK down the st.), frappachino (yuck here), a fancy latte or anything over complicated. Ps, get a punchcard and your 8th drink is free!

The drive thru staff is always so friendly - morning, noon, or night. I tried to ween myself off of sweets and caffeine (I'm a nut - I get it), so I drive in for a Duncan decaf with blueberry. Nine times out of ten it is great... However, last night when I stopped by, they made a fresh pot. Great. I was happy... Until it had a very burnt and incredibly bitter taste (it tasted like the smell of when coffee burns to the bottom of the pot). Listen, that's a fluke. I get it. I'll still come back - they are too close for me not to and I'm addicted!

Coffee was weak. Toasted bagel was burned and when I showed it to her she asked what I wanted her to do. I asked her for a new one. And he asked if I wanted it toasted. I said yes, not burned. She was rude with the replacement. Wish I saw a name tag.

First time at this Dunkin' and very pleased it had great service. The food at Dunkin' is always fresh and great and since they are so popular I was concerned there might be a long wait. The place was busy, as expected, but the people working there moved the line so quickly my wait was only about two minutes. Very friendly location--I saw a Dad there with his son and the girl behind the counter was great and patient with the young boy as he picked his donuts---so cute. Highly recommend. They also have a drive-thru but I didn't use it this time. Will do so on my way to work next time.

The staff is friendly and quick, and the pumpkin munchkins are awesome. My only complaint is that they always seem to be out of something. Last time, it was the pumpkin crumble donuts. This time, it was the pumpkin coolatta. So if you're really craving something in particular, probably want to call first and make sure they actually have it.

Nothing makes me unhappy then when I go to Dunkin Donuts and they are sold out of everything! It was early too. The staff was slow as molasses and there was like 6 people working and no donuts. How is that possible.

The coffee here just isn't as good as the ones in the Northeast. I don't know why, but it made me sad. On the other hand, the donuts were fabulous - so much better than Ken's.

The donuts are just eh. Nothing special. I find them overly sweet. The cake donuts are too dense and spongy. On the upside, if you buy donuts on Sunday, you can eat the cake-type for breakfast for the next couple of days. I don't know if that is a good thing. It looks like they may have a drive-thru window, but I have never checked it out. There are crickets (I hope they are just crickets) in the light fixtures inside the store. Ewww. Take your breakfast elsewhere to eat. The employees are efficient and polite - but they always look completely exhausted and like they would like to be anywhere else but there. The parking lot is a pain to get in and out of. Very small and awkward to park larger vehicles. The only reason we go is because they are the closest we've found in the short time we have been here.

Krispy Kreme is nice and all, but this is something about Dunkin that I like. More specifically, there is something about this location that I love. Always had great experiences here. Donuts are always served hot and fresh. Nice staff and decent prices. Love this place.

I love donuts, and Dunkin Donuts does my favorite- the chocolate glazed- perfectly. I know it's a chain and that makes me a bad Austinite for going there, but how can I resist when they make such yummy donuts? I've gone to Mrs. Johnson's, and their chocolate glazed wasn't even in the same league. I am a big fan of this Dunkin Donuts.

im sure it was my fault for driving off without checking but i ordered a variety of doughnuts and received only a variety of semi glazed doughnuts. when last time i made this request i got a variety as in some cream filled some glazed some cake some coconut ... you get the idea... not to mention i clearly requested for "two milks" and get to the window and they attempt to hand me two pepsi's! ill be going else where for my doughnut needs.

I like Dunkin Donuts because it reminds me of my family in New England, and because they have a variety of types and flavors of donuts. I've had several different kinds of donuts - filled (lemon, strawberry, and apples/cinnamon), cake (cinnamon dusted), and their little donut holes. I really liked the fillings in the filled donuts, but the donuts themselves are kind of doughy (and not in a good way). I can't really put my finger on it, but they're just a little on the chewy side. Fortunately, I can get other things here, like grilled cheese, breakfast taquitos, and sandwiches, so my husband can satisfy his craving for apple cinnamon-stuffed dough without leaving me at home. Service is hit or miss - last time we were there, the lady was a little gruff, but maybe the long line stressed her out. I'd like to recommend that you exit Oak Knoll if you're heading southbound on 183 instead of Duval. Nothing's worse than driving on the southbound feeder road only to be almost side-swiped by some idiot in need of a donut fix as he swerves across the feeder from the off-ramp to Dunkin Donuts.

I stopped at the drive-thru on my way to work to pick up a quick breakfast. Coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. Around 4 bucks. Wow what a nasty bagel. Small, dry, and burned. Uneatable. And it just stresses the fact that Austin TX desperately needs a decent bagel place (surely Einstein's can't be the best!?) Never again. Too bad because it's a really convenient location.

My husband drove me 30min to come here. I wasn't that excited since Dunkin Donuts has been around a long time and hasn't done so good in the last 5-10 years in my opinion. This place however was great! Very fast despite the medium line that stays consistent. Their coffee is 10x better than Starbucks in my opinion...and cheaper. Their breakfast was to die for! Best fast food breakfast I have had in a long time! I think Dunkin Donuts is going to make a comeback soon enough!

Recently, I found myself overcome with frustration and annoyance at the hit Style Network show "Ruby". I don't know what it is, but this woman and the whole show just gets under my skin. The past two seasons, it seems like a never-ending cycle of dawdling, distractions, and delusions, and the women who watch it keep feeding into it this. Meanwhile, someone with serious health problems who started with a goal in mind is not solving the real problem at hand. I have been watching Ruby from the start. Her personal story of weight loss was very inspiring at first, and it seemed like she had the right tools to reach her goals. But seriously, spray tans, Spanx, and a new hairdo are not going to help her lose weight and regain her health. That WAS the original goal, right?. Right?! What's my point?! Ironically, after posting this incredibly rare rant on both my Facebook and one of Ruby's blog posts, I was craving doughnuts. So a couple nights ago, I went to my old standby, Dunkin Donuts. Old standby meaning if I ever really ate doughnuts to begin with, I'd go here. I know they're anathema to my lifestyle. But hey--I exercise, I eat right most days, and I've maintained my weight loss. Plus, Madonna used to work at a Dunkin Donuts, so, that's kind of cool. As a kid, I was allowed to indulge in Dunkin on occasion, usually on Sundays after church. This was probably because I never weighed more than 99 lbs. until I was a sophomore in highschool, and my parents were desperate for me to fill out. Sometimes I think I'd sell my soul to be able to bottle and sell that kind of adolescent metabolism to adults, but Satan's really been lowballing me lately on that deal and frankly, he's starting to get on my nerves. Don't *even* get me started on the fame and fortune negotiations. It's a mess. I remember those "chocolate kremes" they used to sell, which were basically globs of chocolate cake frosting in a light dough covered in powdered sugar. Those were my favorite; I rarely deviated from buying any other kind but these for most of my life. And at any function at church or school that featured a doughnut platter, it was pretty much a standing order to stay the hell away from the chocolate kremes until Nathan had had his fill; to do otherwise would bring disastrous results. Fresh off my Ruby tirade, I passed by a rather judgmental group of overweight teenagers who stared me down as I walked in the door. What is with people staring these days? Don't people have any manners? Inside, I've got to say, I was a little shocked. Apparently this place had undergone one hell of a remodel since I'd last been in. Where were the ratty booths? Bistro tables? Modern designs on the wall? Four flat screen TVs behind the counter? The place was like a doughnut infused hybrid of a Starbucks and a sports bar with a splash of pink and orange paint. I got my bearings and found myself missing the old aesthetic for nostalgia's sake. That passed pretty quickly when I realized I don't actually come her ever, so I didn't actually care. Of course, I ended up behind a woman who was taking her sweet time. I glanced over to see what she was up to, and at first I thought she was paying for her doughnuts with several gift cards. Right after I imagined she must have had the most twisted bridal registry in history, the lightbulb went off that she was *purchasing* a buttload of gift cards. Her snooty teenage daughter kept flouncing around and bumping into me, making a point to walk by me half a dozen times for no reason at all and irritate me, while her mother meticulously chose different card designs. Charming family. Finally, after Mommy checks out and that girl inexplicably bumps into my arm for a final time, I get to the counter and hear "What'll you have, sweetie?". I'm always uncomfortable when people my age or younger call me unauthorized terms of endearment. It's a weird mix of condescension and over-familiarity. I asked for (1) chocolate kreme and (1) eclair for the road. And a medium iced coffee to wash it down. Decent coffee, by the way. Here's the part where 1.) Dunkin will lose me, and 2.) You'll think I'm going to sound like a total weirdo. I know this is a tough economy, but their little tricks of cutting corners is not lost on this consumer. I sliced both doughnuts in half to see if the filling even made it to the center. Dry as a bone. What was once a majestic mountain of frosting had now been reduced to a pathetic pile of pebbles. It was all dough, and not very good dough at that. Even the frosting on top of the eclair looked half-assed. I only ate a bite of each one, then threw them out. Dunkin, where did it go wrong? Not like it matters to me, I can't eat the stuff anymore. But it goes to show, not even cheap, completely unhealthy baked goods can survive in this economy. Sigh..I guess it all went downhill once Madonna went on to bigger and better things.

This location is just AMAZING! I don't want to make to big of fuss, but I love this place. The staff are the sweetest most pleasant bunch of ladies whom all work hard at customer service. During the week things can get hectic, but when aren't things during the week? On the weekend, they're fabulous. Quick, beyond friendly, attentive and they always remember me when I come in. If you want to buy coffee itself (to make) they have stock issues at times, but then again, it's Dunkin coffee - it sells!

I grew up not too far from Dunkin Donuts University. (It's a real thing) In Boston, Dunkin Donuts coffee is an acceptable substitute for milk in a baby bottle. On every return trip home, the first thing I'd do is hit up the DD counter at the airport, train station or bus station. To say I was pleasantly surprised to see there was one here in Austin is a bit of an understatement. Better still, it's not too far out of the way on my morning commute. Thankfully, the coffee is exactly the same as in Boston. That is to say, sweet familiar nectar.

I was really excited when I got free coupons in the mail for this place. Free iced coffee. And then I tried this place. Never again. It was literally brown water. There was no flavor to it. I think I know why they have to 'give it away'. Nobody would voluntarily want to digest the drink otherwise. Here is my big 'red flag'.

I'm into legumes, protein, and green vegetables pretty much exclusively these days -- no sugar, bread, rice, pasta, fruit, or dairy.. so you'd think I were crazy even setting foot in here, but the Dunk came through. What I needed was eggs, and it was very cool of the shift leader to sell me a stack of perfectly-identical egg patties (normally not sold individually) for a fair price with my large iced coffee. Two packets of tabasco. So while you actually can get some healthy protein here, I can't recommend the rest of the goods, regardless of your diet: talk about glucose spikes, fatty liver deposits, and insulin insensitivity.. every item groans "metabolic syndrome". Insulin is miracle-gro for tumors, so while I used to think of donuts as "fat pills", I now think of them as "cancer pills". Cancer merchants top out at 4 stars, unfortunately, cool as they may be with they egg patties.

Maybe it's cause I'm from New York or maybe it's because it's the donuts i grew up on. Whatever the reason I'll take a Dunkin Donut over Krispy Kreme any day. I need something more than a warm glazed donut to satisfy my sweet tooth. Custard filled Boston Cremes are my favorite. And there is always more than enough filling inside. Jelly donuts are delicious when I have a craving for them. The coffee is always good. As long as you want coffee flavored coffee and not some fancy Starbucksesque latte. Oh and by the way they're called Munchkins here not donut holes. Apparently they've improved their customer service here since these other reviews. I was able to get my order quickly and with no issues. The only issue I do have with them is that they never have Chocolate Chip Muffins at this location. They didn't run out. They just don't make them here. Ugghh oh well I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. Now my donut on the other hand.... Mmmmm!

Love this place. They already have the pumpkin flavored stuff, and it's great BTW. The people behind the register are among the most friendly I have encountered in any place here in Austin. It's too bad there aren't any more locations.

I grew up in NYC, so I'm used to Dunkin Donuts and their product. This location does exactly what it sets out to do. It makes donuts that taste like the DD brand. They are fluffy, sweet, fresh. My favorite part about these donuts is that no matter when I go to get some (2PM or 9PM), the donuts are always fresh. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say these are the best donuts I've ever had. But, they are a quality product that has been produced since the 1950's. I don't feel that they have skimped on the quality of product in order to make more money. In fact, these donuts taste just like the ones from my childhood. I also feel their prices are extremely reasonable and competitive. My favorite is their cruller, but second is their strawberry filled granulated sugar donut. This location doesn't sell these donuts regularly, so I have them specially make them for my grandmother. She misses them, since they were a staple at NYC Dunkin Donuts. And that leads me into customer service. This location has always been willing to make me custom donuts -- that they typically don't offer -- just to please the customer. They've never once looked annoyed or put out. In fact, since I'm the only person ordering these specific donuts, they seem prepared for my sporadic orders. They know me by name! They also offer a military discount, which I think is wonderful. All in all, this is a great business. If you enjoy this style of donut, then DD is the place for you. And, while I don't drink coffee, apparently they have some good stuff there. I see loads of people just ordering coffee drinks when I visit.

Bestill my heart--a Dunkin's in Austin! I'm so glad this place is located across the street from work, it pleases my Northeast sensibilities, the land of 3 Dunkins on your way to anywhere. The location is easy to get to, and the frontage road nearby doesn't get too messy around breakfast time. I've never had to wait too long in line, the coffee is pretty consistent, and they have some kind of breakfast corn dog lookin' things? I'm not even sure what they are, but whatever the case, it's clearly a somewhat localized menu. I'd been going daily for a couple weeks before someone handed me a "Buy 5 Beverages, Get the 6th Free" punch card thing, so it's worth a mention if this is a regular place for you. What a deal. *heart*

I'm from the east coast, therefore I have a natural affinity for DD's. I will always love them, however the only one in Austin kinda sucks. They usually take forever to take your order, even if they aren't very busy. Literally every time I go (3 times a week) they screw up my order, or forget what I ordered immediately after I order it. If you're in a hurry or are easily irritated I don't recommend stopping by. It'll take at least 20 minutes to get coffee and a bagel.

We love Dunkin Donuts and the new Brownie Batter donut is awesome. I hope they make it a staple on their menu but if not, I recommend heading over and trying them in case they are only for a limited time. Thanks Matthew for holding a half dozen for us.

Donuts don't really figure into my diet plan. Thus, I've driven by this place a bunch of times and managed to resist. However, this morning I was desperate for food, and this is conveniently located on the feeder right before getting onto 183. A fan right off the bat. Parking was a cinch, and there was no line. The door handle here is a little pink D. So cute. It was bright and clean, and was greeted with a smile. And the smell...Makes me shivery just thinking about it. Surprisingly, even though they decorated almost half a wall in all all their sugary glory, I did not indulge. Instead I choose the egg white-turkey sausage number. Not bad! I removed half of the flatbread (for carb sake, but also, because it wasn't that flavorful) and was quite satisfied. The egg-spinach-sausage mix itself isn't the best ever but for a "healthy" item, it was pretty darn good. Plus the swiss on it was real and melty...maybe it was designed this way but i definitely was craving some creamy sweet coffee goodness to wash this down with, so next time I'll try that light latee thing. Or maybe it just needs a little salsa... Considering I figured the size of my ass would increase ten fold just by walking in here, I was impressed with the number of menu items I could eat and feel good about. On my way out, I noticed a drive thru. Nice. Oh hell yeah.

Oh Lordy, Lordy! How I loooove donuts! I like that this place has a drive-thru. Fat on the run! Wooohooo. I tried the cheddar-bacon-turkey sandwich this weekend. Pretty good stuff. I also ordered the white powdered donut with the Bavarian creme inside. That is just sooooo good. I also love the apple and spice donut. You can't go wrong with a box full of goodies. Inexpensive and delicious!

They have stale donuts, no customer service and practically NO donuts. We got a dozen donuts and every single one was stale, hardened and just gross. I do not think this place should even get one star. I've been to many dunkin donuts across the country and this is the worst.

Dunkin Donuts found the secret to life and it comes in liquid form. Their coffee is to die for. Yes please, with sugar and cream. Oh and did I completely forget to mention that their donuts are amazeballs as well. My one and ONLY complain about dunkin is that they are in bumbleville. Why must you make me drive miles to drink and eat your sweet sweet goodness?!?!?

    (5)
  • Brittany R.

The food is fine, I always get the veggie flat bread which a.piece of turkey sausage always finds its way into unfortunately. The reason for the 2 stars is the service. First time I came -2 nd person in line just opened wanted 2 donuts waited around 15 mins, seriously I almost just went behind the counter and left cash . the girl was mia. I'm rushing this morning to the airport and forget to eat . my fiance asks if I want dunkin. I literally say only if absolutely no one is in line. As we re pulling up naturally a guy gets in front if us. He orders his stuff in a timely manner. Then we pull up....wait 3 mins no one says anything, so we wait another 2.. then pull up to the window the girl is super friendly asks what we d like, not to have sat for 5 mins but whatever -my veggie flatbread ... 6 more mins go by... Moral of the story if you're not in a rush more power to you to go but if you are pressed for time I'm warning you now do NOT go.! This has happened more than the 2 times I've mentioned. Ohh and as I took a bite into my veggie sandwich turns out they gave me the sausage one which Is awesome since I'm a vegetarian... So glad I wasted my time and money. When I called and spoke to a manager she did offer a free sandwich and coffee the next time I came in so I do appreciate that!

The service you get 'anywhere' depends on WHO is standing behind the counter. This location has some good days and some bad days but it always comes through even if there's a glitch or two. This morning I had a bumpy ride because after going through the drive- thru and getting to my destination, I open my bag and notice that my donut is missing (I did order other stuff and everything else was there), so I call the store and explain my predicament. The AM Mgr (Spencer) profusely apologizes and says he can either give me my $ back or I can pick up a free donut when I drive thru next time (he takes down my name and info in order to do this). This is why I give this location 5 stars. It's called "customer service."

I'm from Rhode Island where our civic center was christened The Dunkin Donuts Center around 10 years ago. That's how strong a sway the pink and orange has over my tiny home state. When my dad comes to visit me, this is his only option for coffee. There was this one time he walked a mile down Palmer to get to the Starbucks near my house but that's another story that speaks more to my dad's coffee addiction and lack of a vehicle. He's like a coffee zombie. Anyway, that being said, you should only come to Duncan Donuts for the coffee, especially the blueberry, trust! Even up north that's really the only point of this place despite the CONSTANT forays in cafe style market expansion. Ugh, just stop please. Oh and down here they just cannot get the donuts right, there are far better Texas options for donuts.
