Was told by the staff that the Hamburger platter included fries and the salad bar. The hamburgers where not cooked to the instructions on the bill and had to wait for them to be corrected. After we got the bill I noticed the fries where a extra $1.89 each and when I pointed it out I got nothing but a we don't care attitude about it. At $5.99 for a burger that is not really that good then another $1.89 for the fries and then another $1.89 for the drink. That comes out way too high for what we got and then to top it off the tiny Ice Cream cones are not included with the kids meal anymore which got my eight year old crying. So in the end we stopped at Ingles to get my daughter a real Ice Cream and Dinner Bell lost a local customer over $6 and a small ice cream cone.

Delicious breakfast buffet! They opened at 6am - perfect for road warriors with a long day of driving ahead. The staff was very friendly. The country ham was a hit!

Super yummy! Salad bar was fresh and delicious. Chicken and dumplings were amazing! Pot roast was great. Salisbury steak was very tastey! Skip the desserts and load up on the real food. Delish!

The rule of thumb on highway traveling is eat where truckers eat..yup they have been cb yelping for years. Dinner Bell is a great example you will see semi's and pickups outside. Clear sign of good home cooking. Built like a cracker barrel, food is better. Skip the menu and get the buffet. 3 soups, salad, and hot foods plus desserts. Dinner is about 8.99 plus drink! Collar greens, something fried for sure, good old fashioned food. Stop and dig in!

Breakfast buffet was delicious with many items to pick from. Very attentive, friendly waitress. Sure beat the chain restaurants to pieces!

The Dinner Bell has one of the best county cooking buffets I have ever been to. We found it by accident on the way back from one UT homegame and we have gone on the way back from every UT homegame ever since. The Dinner Bell buffet includes soups, a salad bar, many meats, vegetables, and desserts and you are guaranteed to be full when you leave. (There is also a menu, but I've never bothered with it)

Me and my family decided to stop on by on our way back from vacation in Blueridge Georgia to get some Breakfast, it has a Gift shop/ All-you-can-eat buffet inside, pretty neat stuff about the Town of Sweetwater, but everything else is cheap toys and candy, and when we ate the food, though not homemade southern breakfast, it is pretty good , in which I had Chicken Liver, Waffle Sticks, Hash Brown with Ground Pepper, And a Biscuit, all of it was decent and cheap too! So if you want a quick stop for Breakfast off of I-75, take a look and ring the Dinner Bell.

Saw the billboard off the interstate for this place so we stopped by. Food was awesome ! Everything is made from scratch. Its a buffet. When something is gone, they sometimes replace it with something different. They have parking for truckers.

This restaurant has gone downhill. We stopped in about 2 weeks ago, we use to be regulars, and thought maybe they would have changed up the menu alittle bit better on the buffet unfortunately, they did not. It's actually worse. The place was not busy at all. Two customers plus us, family of four. I was not eating the buffet. I had the soup and salad and that was it. I dont like how the workers here stare at you while you eat. I also have gotten sick after eating here several times thinking maybe it was just my stomache....nope. Its the food. The salisbury steak is processed meat. The meatloaf is bagged, not homemade at all. The food is not kept up to temperature and you can see the food is not stirred and checked...You constantly have to ask for dinner rolls even when their not busy. They have a descent salad bar. That's it. Would not recommend the buffet. But 2 stars for the salad bar.

Located just off of I-75, near Sweetwater is the Dinner Bell, a homely country restaurant and gift shop, very similar to Cracker Barrel, but on a smaller scale. The Dinner bell offers a menu as well as an all you can eat buffet. We had the buffet tonight, which included a selection of 2 kinds of soup, a salad bar, the meat and vegetable bar, and a desert bar. Don't expect anything fancy here, just simple to prepare food. I had the fried chicken breast, green beans, and red potatoes. Fired chicken is ok, second piece was a bit dry, the green beans of course are canned, but flavored, and the potatoes were cut into piece and I guess they were supposed to be roasted, but just tasted as though they ware only warmed. I had banana pudding for desert, nothing fancy here, bananas, wafers and pudding thrown together in a pan. Not a bad meal, but for the price of the buffet, and a few dollars more and go up the road.

I guess for Sweetwater this is as good as it gets. But I was really hoping for a southern, home cooking buffet. They have a large selection on the buffet, three soups, salad bar, several meats, and desert area. However, the food was not homemade style, nothing special. The deserts are stored cold and nothing we sampled was even close to being anything I eould want again. It's a nice stop between large cities but if your on I75 I would keep going if you can last another 30 minutes.

We live not far from the Dinner Bell. Breakfast is the way to go. It's a small town country buffet. The service is always great. It's always pretty busy throughout the day but we like breakfast best.

The positives start with how close to the freeway it is, and the large parking lot. Great for trucks and RVs or those who are trailering. Inside was a homey Cracker Barrel feel. We seated ourselves. We had one chicken strips and one hamburger for the kids. The waitress was very friendly and patient with the kids giving her the orders. In looking over the menu for what a vegan or vegetarian could eat, we were pleasantly surprised to see a vegetable only option on the buffet. Now if you are a strict vegan, then this may still not be your best option. But for us it was great. We had a nice salad. There was a french onion soup. And collard greens, green beans, corn, rice, mashed potatoes, corned bread, bisquits, rolls, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas. And then deserts were apple pie, cherry pie, sweet potato pie. The kids got free ice cream also. Our total bill was just over $32 for the four of us. Coffee was very good. Slight negatives were that a couple of salad bar items looked tired. Floors were a bit messy. No biggie.

Truck parking! Another yelper mentioned that where truckers are parked is a good sign of good food.. he is right about that. This is a great old fashioned place to stop. We had the breakfast buffet and it had pretty much everything. Lots of fresh fruit too. Good southern cooking! 6.99 for the buffet. Also has a small country store. Located just off I75. Bathrooms... lets just say the ladies room plumbing needs some fixin!

We've eaten here twice, both times just ok. The first time I got the fried catfish and it wasn't very good. What was good was that it included the soup, salad and dessert bar. I enjoyed the soup and salad but was limiting my sugar intake so I skipped the dessert bar even though it looked delicious. Yesterday, remembering I wasn't too fond of the catfish, I chose to eat the buffet instead since there was a fish on it. It was fried cod and pretty good. I don't eat any other meat except fish so I can't comment on it. The trouble this time was that the sides on the buffet just weren't that good. The broccoli soup was great as well as the salad bar. This time I hit the dessert bar because there were so many good looking choices and of course the days of limiting sugar are long gone. I tried a small portion of peach cobbler and apple cobbler and were very disappointed in both. I hardly ate either so I tried a small square of cheesecake and found it to be just as bad. Not sure because my wife tried the peach cobbler and apple cobbler and liked them both. Anyhow, I'm sure we will go back in another six months to a year so I guess the place is ok.

Really was "as good as it gets" for a highway exit buffet somewhere between Chattanooga and Knoxville! They had the cream green jello that I normally only get for Christmas from my great aunt and it was fantastic. Really a great selection and I swear I am stopping here EVERY time I drive this road. Best attraction on the 75. Also, not sure why another reviewer said they didn't have the mac n cheese, cause they did. My kid grooved on all the cool jello/marshmello salads, the fresh fruit, the pecan pie, the blackberry cobbler, and banana pudding pie with vanilla wafers! The local cops came in and ate there too, says a lot about the quality. Big long tables as well as booths and I would really recommend this for a large group, or medium groups or small families. Also, it was about $10 an adult, and the little guy was free.

Lots of Southern cooked foods.... Fried catfish, steak n' gravy, lots of veggies, good salad bar, great dessert bar with lots of pies.

I've been here a lot of times and love it. I try to go whenever I'm in the area. It's similar to cracker barrel, except its a buffet. However, last time I was there there was only one usable stall in the women's bathroom. One of them had no door. This was months ago so hopefully they fixed it.

Wide variety of meats, Southern style veggies, and good salad bar with a variety of greens and lettuces. The afternoon we were there there were six varieties of meat and numerous veggies, casseroles, starches, and baked fruit. The service was great. Jackie, and the lady that took over during her break, checked with us frequently, made sure we had everything we wanted, and even drinks for the road. Those ladies made a good buffet a great experience and are great assets to the place.

Oh my god. This is the best buffet I have ever been to!!!!!!!! Fresh, hot, homemade, great options...just, wow. Everything was done right. I came here for dinner while staying in Sweetwater to go to the Lost Sea and then ended up coming right back for lunch after the tour. Amazing every time. Even the salad is amazing and fresh. I can't wait until I'm in the area again and can go back!

Good food, good service. Looks like this is where Cracker Barrel got the idea. But this place has a buffet & is local owned by family who owned land where I-75 now runs. Stop here, you won't regret it.

It had edible food for a road trip but we would not stop again. Lacked some things for the kids to eat like the staple mac and cheese, which really surprised me.

On the road between Knoxville and Chattanooga at exit 62 sits a gem of a country buffet and restaurant. Fresh vegetables, meats, and some of the best banana pudding and cobblers you'll ever find. Prices are reasonable, so even if you want to eat a regular meal, you can make one of small servings. A winner!

The food was pretty dang good, we tried the buffet. My only complaint would be the lack of labels on things for us non southerners. I nearly ate some fried liver until my husband pointed out what it was after chewing on some. Phew! The service was great and the biscuits absolutely delicious!
