I love this place. Actually my whole office loves this place. We have a tradition "If you're going to be late, make it worth it, bring Donuts" We all secretly hope they come from M&E's. Breakfast sandwiches aren't bad either.

When I think of the products that Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts turn out, my stomach turns also. They have production equipment pumping out donuts using cheap ingredients and it shows. Ever since I have had the donuts here I am a donut snob. All donuts have to be compared to this. Sometimes they do run out of some things because they sell out. Also something to remember is that it takes three hours to make a glazed donut the right way, and so there will never be a light in the window saying HOT. But they are fantastic. I have even taken seveal boxes of donuts to Charlotte to my co-workers driving and they are wonderful even the next day. They also make pies and breakfast sandwiches and breads and something called Christmas Pie which is a quiche type pie with sausage and it is wonderful.

Centrally located in Smyrna, we stopped here because we thought this business was the sister shop of the Donut Palace in Murfreesboro. Apparently the shops are not related. The donuts here were good, in a different way than the donuts in the M'boro shop. They were a little heavier and they did taste very good. Their ham and cheese croissants were delicious. They were substantial and were heated up prior to serving so the cheese was melted. Wow, they were good! The more I eat at locally-owned and independent shops and kitchens, the more I find myself avoiding the large chains because I can truly sense and taste the care and high quality of ingredients that are baked and cooked into the food.

Been searching Middle Tennessee for almost a decade looking for true buttermilk old fashioned donuts. I had almost given up when by chance I did a search during an outing in Smyrna to discover the greatest, most moist, rich and delicious glazed and chocolate old fashioned donuts I think I've ever had. I was so blown away by their glory that I didn't even have a chance to take in what else was available, so I will surely be back (and often) to discover what other edible masterpieces they create.

Ran by here one morning to grab the kids a blueberry muffin. I usually bake muffins myself, but this morning I was out of key ingredients and needed something fast. They were pricey but huge! They tasted like blueberry donuts baked in a muffin shape. I like supporting local businesses.

I have had the opportunity to have 2 different office parties catered in by M&E. These are some of the best donuts, pies and pastires I've had in quite some time. As another reviewer mentioned, it is clear they use quality ingredients and take pride in their work. I've had many donuts from the big chains and they can't compete with M&E. I wil certainly be back and I look forward to having many more of the scrumtous peanut butter filled donuts along with the tasty pumpkin glazed. As for the pies, my favorite might be the rasberry but the apple is a close second. I forgot to mention that their cakes are moist and not overly iced (my preference is the butter cream icing). We basically had entire buffett for the last 2 office parties and I was able to sample more than I should. Keep up the great work!

Great place for the family. The food is always super fresh. Soft donuts and great breakfast sandwiches :))) It's our favorite donut shop! They are always super friendly to my two year old son. Love coming here and so glad we now live right down the street!

The donuts are amazing, the service is great. The location is perfect. If they were open on Monday my life would be complete. If you aren't dieting get the chocolate covered chocolate one. It's sinful but sssoooo good. My kids like the sprinkles of course. And chocolate milk is a must.

Donuts are amazing. The Apple Fritters are to die for...I love how there is no big apple pieces in it so for me it's pure yummy goodness.

I love donuts. So when I see a donut shop I usually stop. So being to so many shops I have had a lot of experience with different donuts. It's amazing I'm not 300 pounds! M&E rates at only 3 stars for a few reasons: service was lame. Neither guy working the counter was particularly friendly and the younger of the two didn't seem to know what he was doing. Their donut selection was pretty slim too- several varieties they were out of. The donut themselves were good but not the best I've had. Better than Dunkin Donuts and about on par with Krispy Kreme. They tasted a few hours too old, still good, but on the verge of starting to harden.
