The servers were so cute with the plaid shirts and long aprons! The drive thru seemed convenient! Super Kid-Friendly! Lots of leftovers to take home!!! The kids chicken tenders were fantastic!! If you've traveled much through the Deep South, Jim N Nick's brings comfort. It's chain BBQ that's better than average, typically comes with good service and who could ever forget the cheese biscuits? This location is no different. Located at the end of a strip loaded with retail and chain restaurants, this is where you come for BBQ. Not all Jim N Nick's are created equal. The ones I've eaten at in Alabama and Georgia were better than this one. On the other hand, you're still likely to enjoy everything that comes to the table. And, save some room. The pies are pretty good for chain food. While the turkey was dry and fell below the average belt, the brisket and ribs did impress and what kid wouldn't love the nachos and loaded potatoes served here? I've always been a fan of their pulled pork, too. One great thing about this place is the sides rival the meats. More importantly, they have more than baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw. In fact, they have much more. For a family meal, a birthday, quick lunch or a solo trip to eat in the bar, I'm not sure anyone could complain about the food or scene here. It's chain BBQ - at its best. The portions are huge. There's plenty of flavor and you can bet you'll want to come back.

Too expensive for what you get. The service was slow, and not friendly at all. Wouldn't go back. There's nothing special, just like any other BBQ place.

Amazing BBQ. Drinks were great and not over priced. Don't be fooled everyone gets carded if you order alcohol, so if your 50 and think it's a compliment, Sorry! Service was great also. Complimentary cheese biscuits are amazing, bit don't eat too many or you will fill up and not finish your dinner. We were a party of 8 and they even split the bills for couples and singles. We ordered the brisket, hot links, Mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes and every fork full was delicious. The desserts, peanut butter pie and coconut cream pies were sweet mad scrumptious. Always room for dessert.

Was an showdown at Jim N Nick(JNN). With dinosaur BBQ fully processed in our tummy from last week, and taste still fresh in memory, we thought we be judge of TN vs NY BBQ. JNN had Good BBQ, meat was falling of the bone good. Now.. Does rise above Dino's? Some of you might cry foul bias.. But I had a dude from Atlanta with me.. And we both agreed... Dino's take the trophy. Beef brisket, original pulled pork, ribs, collard greens, and potatoes salad and wings Without too many words, I think we agreed it must be the sauce. During out discussion, An observation I made settled the decision... At JNN, I was constantly adding sauce on my plate. At Dino I didn't need to, and finish the plate. Meat characteristics.. Both falling of the bone good. I found JNN bit dry on the ribs. Pull pork was good, beef brisket was excellent. Great food, great waitress... And because it was out first time, they were nice enough to offer one free dessert.

Salads, bread, pulled pork, Barbecue Is my favorite in town. Not some Barb b Sucky! Well priced, full bar.Chicken fingers are the size of your hands. With excellent honey mustard or ranch on the side. Everything I have ever eaten at Jim and Nicks has been great! Service is great. Different sauces to choose from! The ribs are great! Most all entrees are between $6.99-$12.99. Well worth the price for the amount of food and flavor. I might eat there tomorrow. I'm making myself hungry now. That's all I got!

I'm originally from Birmingham so whenever I get homesick I go here. I hate vinegar BBQ and that's about all Nashville has.... I always get pork BBQ chopped and my husband always gets the spare ribs. Worth the drive every time.

We went on taco Tuesday for some non-traditional BBQ tacos. The pulled pork taco was pretty good with some of their hot sauce added. I didn't much care for the flour tortillas they used for the 3 tacos I had. The catfish taco was very different but good as well. The corn bread muffins they started us with were very good, nice and warm when they were brought to us. I had a "nearly naked" baked potato with dinner which had cheese, bacon, sour cream, and butter. Not at all naked but good. We started off with BBQ chicken nachos which were just ok for me. I Tried a $3 margarita in the spirit of taco Tuesday but was disappointed since it tasted like there was no Tequila in the drink at all. I paid another $5 for a shot and added that to my margarita. Service was good. Our server was friendly and checked on us often.

Unbelievable BBQ for a Chain. First found this place because of a gift card, and now it is in second place for my favorite BBQ (#1 is Archibald's in Northport AL). Huge servings, can be expensive, but worth it. Get the loaded baked potato and just try to finish it.....

The cheese biscuits are delicious! The peach tea has chunks of peaches at the bottom and is so good. Pulled pork was super tender and baked beans were very good along with some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had.

This was just great - really hot the spot. I had brisket - so good and mac and cheese with coleslaw. Some of the best Cole slaw I've ever had. Nice waiter named James. Thanks so much

One thing the boyfriend and I really miss about the south is BBQ, so we were super happy to stop in here on our quick trip to Nashville. While this was a good meal, it wasn't a great one. Let's break it down. Arrival: Two ladies at the host stand, super friendly, bantered a bit before being seated on the patio as requested. Service: Waiter was super friendly, but failed to communicate/notice a few things. My drink apparently takes a loooong time to make, which would have been nice to know when I ordered it. While I asked for napkins when our app arrived, he just brought us square cocktail ones, and someone didn't realize that we didn't have silverware until our entrees arrived and we asked for it. Apparently it should have been set when we were seated, but it wasn't. Also could have been more on top of water refills. Drinks: Excellent. The waiter made a good bourbon recommendation to the boyfriend, and my cocktail -- the Peachy Keen -- was amazing. Seriously, that was a damn good cocktail and worth the wait (something about minced peaches?). However, I can't say how much alcohol was actually in it, since, being a major lightweight, I didn't taste or feel anything, which is kind of surprising. Apps: Cheesy muffins. O. M. G. Just...give me all the cheesy muffins, and it'll be fine. Deviled eggs were also excellent, with a little extra mustard that gave them a little something without going crazy. Sides: Pretty darn good. Onion rings ($2 upcharge) needed some salt, but were hot, crispy, and not at all greasy. The boyfriend enjoyed the collards and coleslaw. Meat: Eh. The waiter recommended the brisket over the pulled pork, so I went with it. For $17, I expected a pretty generous portion, but, uh, not so much. Literally. As others have noted, it was served kind of lukewarm, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. The waiter assured my boyfriend that the spareribs (which he ordered especially for the cartilage) were smoked for 24 hours, started in the morning and not served until the following afternoon. Having eaten them, I highly doubt that. The cartilage wasn't at all soft, which, after that long, it should have been, and overall it seemed like they needed MORE time. Kind of weird. Sauces: The sauce on my brisket had a bit of a kick to it, and even the original sauce on the table had too much pep for my tame palate. The boyfriend asked for the white Carolina sauce, and that had so much pepper in it, I thought my throat would explode. Disappointing. So overall, while I enjoyed a lot of this meal, the meat especially didn't quite measure up to what I was hoping for. However, they are doing a great job with sides and drinks, which is not always the case for these joints. I'd go back, but order different meat.

Got links and brisket. Both served cold. Green beans taste of too much salt. Fried green tomatoes taste good. The rolls were amazing good. Both meats taste great just too cold.

We came here for a quick meal but we will not be back. The mashed potatoes were very old. In fact the comment was made did they scrap these off several other plate to make one order. While the portion was a good size the quality made them impossible to eat. The tenders we had were delusion and our sever was fast and efficient. This use to be a great place because their sides were always fresh but this is the third time that we have eaten here and the food was subpar. I hardly ever swear off a restaurant all together but this one has but the dust.

Sloooow drive through service. There were three cars in line I sat there for 25 minutes before I received my order. I wasn't given any napkins or silver ware either.

  • David M.

Had to wait to be seated because the hostess was tied up talking to a call-in order. Other wait staff walked by without taking notice. Finally got seated and put in a drink order. The waiter forgot a drink and had to be reminded. Left sitting until drinks had condensed and ice melted before he remembered to bring bread. The bread didn't seem cooked completely. Long wait for meals after ordering. We were so hungry when it finally arrived, brought by someone else and there was such a lag until our waiter came back, that I didn't send my pulled pork back even though it was lukewarm. Lots of food though. Just wish it had been hot. Then waiter disappeared again until we were done eating. Then he offered to refill my nearly empty glass, also lukewarm by this time. I declined and told him "no thanks, were done". He then spent five minutes on two other tables next to us, before remembering to bring the check. The food could have been great, but the meal was ruined by bad service. Not even a very busy night. Beware. P.S. I wrote the entire review, with my non-tech savvy single index finger, had my wife read it and still had time to get bored in the time between the waiter taking my card and returning with a receipt.

This locations drive-thru in definitely not on par with the Murfreesboro location. The service is much slower and the accuracy requires you to double check your order before leaving. I've also had a problem with the hamburger's being under cook. The biggest difference is the friendliness of the drive-thru staff. I believe this issues is a reflection of the management.

I ate here twice this week for lunch. I chose the brisket, which is my favorite. Nicely done, good smoke, tender, and flavorful. Baked beans are good, but a bit too sweet. Cole slaw is nothing special, but a bit vinegary. The homemade potato chips are ok, but the blue cheese dip makes them Yummy. Great service! On my second visit I also had the hot links, which seems to be an in house specialty. I didn't really like them, but being for texas I may simply have different expectations. I will eat here again!

brisket was so nice I came back the next day and took some to the apartment. Cheese biscuits are really tasty , creamy collards are delicious and the smoked buffalo wings once I start I cant stop eating , the only thing I didn't appreciate was a Grey Goose cocktail was $9.50, otherwise the prices were great

Clean, great atmosphere and service. Food was ok. Didn't care for the sauces. Carolina sauce a tad too bitter.

Would of rated higher but I usually use the drive through and about half the time somethings not the way I ordered. Food is fabulous. Personally I love the brisket. Being from Texas I love brisket. Jim N Nicks has some of the best brisket in Nashville. I do rate Jack's as better. Inside is very nice and wait staff is very courteous . Piggy express is their combo special meal. I think price is a little high at about $11.00 for a sandwich, one side and a drink. Best mashed potatoes around. Cheese biscuits are great !

I'm always sad they don't have ice cream for their pecan pie but that's because they don't have a freezer! Everything is as fresh as it can be and never frozen! Their biscuits are legendary. Buy a bag of their biscuit mix and make it at home with your favorite chili! You'll thank me later!

Get a combo platter so you can try two items! The brisket (you can ask for it to be a lean cut) is very good but was a little on the dry side (cuz of the lean cut I think). The pulled pork was the super star of the platter. So juicy, flavorful and tender.

Briskets were so delicious and will go back. Side dishes were not impressive however. Their bests are the meats.

Never eaten here - but I have used the drive thru many times. To be honest - this isn't the cheapest BBQ but I've never once questioned the value for money. I love their spare ribs, brisket especially and their BBQ chicken. I've had the chicken on the bone and pulled - both are worth the effort. Oh and those cheese biscuits - they really are crack. I have to make sure we never get more than 6 because you can literally sit and eat a dozen. The only qualm I have ( and the reason they aren't getting a 5) is that I've noticed some variation in their mac and cheese & mashed potatoes. Sometimes they are dead on point and other times they are just salty beyond belief. I think the constant packed parking lot is a testament to their popularity.

Good wings and great service. But if they are really going to have a great whiskey and Bourbon menu, don't charge $8 for Jack Daniels...goes up from there. Beer choices are typical and nothing special. Basically, don't come if your looking to have some drinks and eat BBQ. Awesome cornbread !

it's a chain restaurant. you know what you're getting... with a side of awesome cheese biscuits.

  • Pete B.

First: the biscuits...moist and the slightest bit chewy - awesome. Next: had the links/chicken/pork combo with creamed spinach and potato salad...best links I've had - hands down. Nice bite to the casing and awesome flavor. Chicken and pork were moist and smokey. All three were love at first bite. The potato salad was standard, but the creamed spinach was very good...plenty of creaminess to be had. Finally, the bartender, Nikki, was a doll. Extra bonus points for crushed ice over cubes (corny, I know...). Overall, great food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. I will gladly return and strongly recommend over others on the Sam Ridley Parkway!

As other reviewers have mentioned, the food is a little pricey. Beware before you come through the doors that Jim and Nick's is a chain. Don't expect an independent, mom and pop eatery. It is exceptionally personable and as good as it gets for a chain that serves barbecue. Barbecue lovers, prepare to taste heaven. The pulled chicken and pulled brisket is so tender it just falls apart. The theme here is obviously barbecue, however it's interestingly mixed with blues. While the interior is modern and clean, the food coupled with the music always reminds me of an old Mississippi juke joint. While the food can be pricey they do have some decent drink specials on particular nights. I can't recall which nights but I think some nights they have $3 Jack and Cokes. The food is delicious and the cheesy bread is to die for. Ask for honey butter when you order it. My favorite is the sauce. They have two, one being slightly spicier. You can't go wrong here with at least a one time experience. If you don't like it, don't come back. But I can almost guarantee you will! :)

Where are the ribs???? Picked up food here the other night & when I opened it, I was immediately disappointed. The "ribs" were this tiny portion of completely black, charred beyond recognition, dried out jerky on the bone. That's unfair, I have had more tender jerky. And completely overpriced to kick a person when they're down. I should have driven all the way back & demanded a refund. A BBQ place that can't do ribs & is overpriced doesn't have me as a repeat customer.

So, my friends live in Smyrna and my long time friend's girlfriend lives nearby and he recommended this place because everything is made from scratch. My first evening in the Nashville area brought me here, especially since my Smyrna friends also brought this place up as a dinner option so it seemed promising. We walked in and were greeted very amicably and seated right away. Our waitress was really nice to us and was quick to respond with a suggestion or recommendation. Because of her I got the mashed potatoes with white gravy and I am glad I listened to her. The mac and cheese though was okay. However, the brisket was delicious, not the best I had but not the best that I've had. The sauce though was a really good and the pickles, I am NOT a fan of pickles were a great addition, it really made the flavor sauce stand out. The cheese biscuits were excellent and I think the four of us went through about three baskets of them. I was the only one who ordered a beverage, an Arnold Palmer and the fresh lemonade really stood out. You really can tell the difference between lemonade from scratch and Minute Maid. The latter is overpoweringly sweet and the former is a nice balance of sweet and tart. My friend ordered the pig in the potato patch. The stuffed baked potato and she really enjoyed it. How do I know this? The only thing left on it was the skin. I really have to mention the service again, we came an hour before closing time but we didn't even know it because they were so nice and attentive. We left thirty minutes after they closed but I didn't even know. A family came in after us and they were still very nice and attentive to them as well. I need to create a Nashville list just so I can include this place in it.

I've been eating at Jim N Nick's off and on over the past few years. Yes, it is a chain BBQ restaurant, and it kind of goes against the mold of your local hole in the wall joint that aficionados praise. The Great: - Cheesy Corn Muffins (dangerously good, can't stop eating them) - Sides (their sides are some of the best I've eaten anywhere, Mac & Cheese A++) - Lemonade (freshly squeezed) - Habanero Sauce - Pulled Pork ** (see the disclaimer below) - Chicken Tenders (surprisingly delicious for a BBQ restaurant) The Disclaimer: - The only reason I don't give the place 5 stars is that the BBQ pork can be hit or miss for me. Sometimes the pork is moist and other times it can be very dry. I would say the majority of my visits the pork is spot on.

If you like the southern food then Jim &nix are the kings of it. They have the best turkey breast I have ever had, but their mashed potatoes still the best of all

Jim N Nicks is a local favorite in Smyrna for BBQ. The food is quite good, but it is a bit pricey considering its BBQ... Average entree is about 30% more than you would pay at a normal joint and the service can be a bit crappy depending on who you get. I do highly recommend the hot spicy sausage though... it is definitely my favorite thing on the menu.

  • Lindsay W.

Probably won't come back...obvious salad isn't there thing ...bland toppings but the meat (I got smoked chicken) was delicious and very moist. BBQ sauces weren't my favorite but bad good spice. Service pretty bad the lady was immediately perturbed when I asked if the grilled veggies were grilled in butter or oil..the a request for no cheese was the topping on the cake for her. My salad had cheese which I wasn't too upset about because I know I'm a picky orderer I wasn't happy about the fact she only came to our table a few times one of which was to tell me I looked miserable w my no cheese diet...weird

First off, let me say I have had good food at Jim N Nicks but this was my first time at this one. The service seemed on the slow side, our waitress seemed too busy elsewhere to check up on us. The fries were over-salted to the point of in-edibility. My girlfriend said it would have been like eating a salt lick. But unfortunately because of our slow service, by the time we were able to report this, the offer of replacement fries did not seem like a very satisfying choice. The ribs also seemed unusually gristly. I eventually just had to throw out all decorum and start spitting it out on my plate in front of everyone. As I said, I've been to Jim N Nick's before, but never had this problem. I can say if I this was my first time at Jim N Nick's, there would not be a second time.

As Amanda S. says, this is definitely the best BBQ chain (that I've tried) in the South. Excellent friendly service. Fun clean atmosphere. Comfy booths. Alcoholic drink specials are fantastic if you're into tippling. Personally, I prefer the (metaphorically) bottomless glasses of sweet tea. As for the food, the Pitmaster's Plate sampler is always plenty of food for me and my wife to share. We usually get the ribs (spares were tasty, but think we'll try the baby backs next time in the hopes of less fat and gristle), the pulled pork (soft and tender), the brisket (solid) and the sausage (spicy, best of the bunch). Both the creamy cole slaw and the tangy potato salad are great, although I do wish portion sizes for those were just a tad larger. And speaking of portion sizes, like others have said, the cheesy muffins are wonderful, but they are also tiny and come only three to a basket. A couple of bites and they're history. Maybe bump up the per-basket quota to four muffins? Or make them a little larger? And how about including a ramikin of butter in the basket? (I think we've gotten butter a time or two at the West Nashville location.) Why only 4 stars? Neither of the sauces knocks my socks off. (The spicy habenero one does have a real kick though.) I far prefer the BBQ sauces at other joints around town such as Jack's, B&C Melrose, Martin's and even under-the-radar at Barbara's Home Cookin' in Franklin. Also, the meats are good, but not great. I'd rather have pulled pork at Martin's, brisket at Jack's, ribs at Rooster's, etc. If they upgraded their sauces (or maybe just offered another option) and were a bit more generous with the sides and the muffins, I could see bumping this up to 5 stars. Even as things stand now, I feel like Jim N Nicks is a can't miss choice for a great, affordable BBQ dinner for couples, families or small battalions of eaters. The restaurant is spacious and seemed perfectly capable of handling groups of 15 or 20 people.

Got 'to-go' from here for the first time.. Just as good as going in and sitting down. Only compliant is they don't toss in any of their rolls.. I'm sure if I asked they would toss some in, just need to remember. All in all, a good, low cost experience and it kept me from cooking dinner.

oh mama. i've found my favorite barbecue chain in the south. the jnn bar-b-q plate is where it's at:: your choice of meat (this girl went with the pulled pork) and two scratch-made trimmings (correct answer:: potato salad and cinnamon apples) for $11.99. this also includes bottomless baskets of their sweet-yet-salty cheese "biscuits", which are more like sweet-yet-salty crack muffins. the pork is so tender and juicy and is topped with delicious pickle slices. the potato salad was chilled, yellow (ALWAYS a good sign), and tangy. the cinnamon apples blew a certain chain that started in nashville's* cinnamon apples out of the water. seriously, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. not overly sweet (as food and drink tend to get, south of the mason-dixon). speaking of sweet, their sweet tea is also not overly sweet, and actually quite pleasant on the palate. just another place to be added to my "food fantasies" list..sigh. -- *i'll give you a hint. it rhymes with smacker carol.

We REALLY love this place!!! Inside, you find nice comfy booths, and lots of beautiful wood accents. Very relaxing atmosphere. The service is good, we do have our favorite servers though. ;o) The food is AHHH-MAZING! The Pig in the Potato Patch is perfect for two. We get it with the Pulled Pork, loaded. It goes great with The Greek Salad. Add the Smoked Chicken and extra Feta cheese to make it even more mouthwatering. Can't forget the Cheese Biscuits! I always eat too many!!! They have a full bar, and a great local beer line. Prices are very reasonable. Oh, yes, and the restrooms are always clean! A great place for big parties too. I had my Birthday "Lunch" Party there this past weekend, and received a complimentary piece of Coconut pie....DELICIOUS!!! OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT! (Smyrna location) We haven't visited The Boro location yet.

Ate there for the first time this weekend, and realized I've been missing out. Really, really good bar-b-cue. I had beef brisket and it was the most tender, moist brisket I've had so far. Really good sides as well, and the cheddar muffins are great. Went on Cinco de Mayo and had a margarita that was really good as well. Quick, friendly service made it a really nice overall experience. Jim and Nicks will be at the top of the list for me anytime I'm looking for good BBQ!

Being a transplant to the south I don't get the BBQ craze around here but I've tried a few a few other places to appease the natives but Jim n NIcks really sticks out for me. Very nice staff, yazoo on tap, atmosphere is nice, and I think I now get what people like about BBQ. Sauce was sweet but well seasoned. We got the spare ribs and a "southern burger". In the top ten burgers I've ever had. Haven't looked at other BBQ joint menus to compare the health factor but I will say we felt the need to work out for a few hours to burn off the calories, fat, and SODIUM in the meal. If it is a concern you may want to check out the online nutritional information. But sometimes it's the fat and the salt that makes the flavor and they've done it well.

As far as chains go, this one is pretty good. My boyfriend loves their tacos! I definitely enjoy their salads, especially the chicken finger salad. The greens are surprisingly fresh! The only actual downside to this particular location is the service. Most times it pretty bad. The wait-staff kind of forgets about you unless you're ordering or getting your food. They tend to be pretty chatty with one another. Though, it does seem to be improving slightly, but I think that's only for dinner. At lunch time, prepare to be ignored.

I thought this place was real good! I'm normally a pretty health eater, so I appreciated I could indulge in tasty BBQ and not feel totally guilty. I got the BBQ chicken, apples and green beans, which were my personal favorite. Also, the lemonade is out of this world. All and all, about as good as it gets for a chain restaurant.

  • Stephanie C.

Love me some Jim 'n Nicks! The food is affordable and fast. They have these loaded pork baked potatoes that are as big as my head! Another favorite is the Double Decker which is a sandwich with pulled pork AND beef brisket. I love their bbq sauce too. Around here there is a tendency for sauce that is is very vinegar-Y, this sauce is a nice balance of smoky, sweet, and vinegar. Plus it's got some thickness to it. But my all-time favorite item on the menu are the biscuits. They are small sweet-cheddar cornbread biscuits with a honey glaze. I could seriously go and eat nothing but biscuits. Make sure you order some extras. If you want something a little lighter I recommend that Hickory Smoked Chicken Salad Sandwich. I like the lemonade too.

  • Dan T.

REALLY great tasting BBQ and service. All the recipes are made from scratch, and the BBQ is started fresh each morning. Cheese biscuits are something else, and so is the pig in a potato. For something different, try subbing the pulled chicken for the pulled pork - slamming! Will definitely eat there again when back to town!

Pretty good barbecue for a local chain. Not much sauce selection, but I know some folks might not find that too important. The pulled pork was incredible, smokey, juicy, and very tender. The brisket was a little drier and a lot smokier. I doused each liberally with the regular sauce and a fair amount of the habanero sauce. The habanero sauce was a bit too much for me, but the sauces were ok. Not spectacular, but ok. I ordered coleslaw and baked beans on the side. The slaw has a vinegar base and the baked beans were decent. I also asked for chopped white onions on the side (at least I think I did) and they brought red onions. They also mixed up our tea orders, I generally prefer either unsweetened or half/half. I ordered half/half but received unsweetened. After sending it back, it came back again unsweetened. I figured I'd just put my own sugar in it rather than continue. And finally, I can't speak for my dining partner, but my dessert wasn't really anything I'd run there to get. So, stick with the barbecue and don't go in expecting a sauce tour of the world.

This place was disgusting!! I had the smoked ribs with a side of Cole Slaw and mac n cheese. Eating the ribs is like eating a smoking cigarette. The mac n cheese was clumpy and oily. The only decent part of the meal was the over peppered cole slaw. I sent the mac n cheese back and asked for fries instaead, the fries were served cold and greasy. If thi place is indicative of southern BBQ, then I want nothing to do with it. I'll take the ribs at The Patio in the Chicago area anytime!!! Don't eat at this place, move up the road and eat at Five Guy or Chili's instead!!!

The prices were fair. The waitress was very friendly however it took almost 20 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. The bar was not busy, there was our party of two and one other party of two seated in the part of the restaurant on the side with the bar. When the waitress arrived she brought one cocktail; we asked where the other one was and she apologized and ran off to get it. When we ordered our food; one of the items we chose was the collars greens. We were told that we should not order the collard greens because they were too salty. The waitress recommended the cabbage which was not listed on the menu. When the food arrived it quite frankly reminded me of dishes I put together quickly after coming home from work. The pulled pork could have been mistaken for the pulled pork you buy already cooked just heat and serve from Costco. The grilled fish was just ok perhaps a bit over cooked. All of the sides were small in portion size and the cabbage as well as the okra and stewed tomatoes were salty. This was my second time visiting Jim N Nick's and this second visit has convinced me that that restaurant does not live up to it's reputation in my opinion.
