Ok. Here's the deal. I wanted a burger but I didn't want to go to the usual places. I'm new to the area so I looked on Yelp. I read a number of the reviews and looked at some of the photos of this place. It looked a bit sketchy but I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Fat Mo's Deluxe Burger, not really knowing how big it really was. I ordered it with cheese and bacon. The burger was very good albeit almost too much food. The fries were great as well. It was a great meal and everyone at this location was helpful and friendly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the dining room is kind of run down and sketchy (just like I thought). It wasn't dirty, just un-organized and run down. It's almost like they gave up taking care of the place a few years ago. That being said, if you want a good burger and you want to be very full, give this place a try!

Well I guess I should have gone somewhere else. I got a half pound burger combo add bacon with everything on it. Literally if I put all the lettuce together it would make a 2" square and there was about a quarter of an onion on it. Beef was good well seasoned maybe a little heavy on pepper but I like that personally. Either the bacon was pre cooked or they pick the cheapest bacon. The fries are sad frozen shoestring, I had high hopes for homemade fries :( I guess I don't get the hype. I don't think I would stop again I think I would go to Bojangles next door first.

I don't know if Fat Mo's is a locally owned chain or not. But I was in the area and craving a gyro. Staff were very attentive. Went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Very very dirty and the toilet seemed to be broken. Staff were nice and they make everything as you order it. The amount of food was huge. I started eating the sandwich and it quickly turned into a gyro salad and not a gyro sandwich -because it fell apart. Food quality was good. The fries were hot and fresh. Sandwich seemed to have 70% lettuce and onion and tomato and 30% gyro meat. I still ate everything though.

Nashville's local culinary scene is beginning to get a Justin Bieber, "huge ego where little is deserved" complex here on Yelp. The truth is that a celebrity chef, a menu that reads like a biology experiment, or a bar staff that is dressed like they stepped off of the Titanic is not a caveat for being a great local Nashville restaurant. Enter Fat Moes. Fat Moes was a Nashville original when Ruby Tuesdays was considered a local restaurant. Every single thing that comes off the Moes menu is delicious. Yes it is fast food. Er sorta..it takes about five or six minutes. However, just because it's fast doesnt mean it belongs lumped together with the other corporate garbage out there..In fact, you'll will question how they have not put the taco bells and bk's out of biz in the Antioch area. Unlike the aforementioned, Moe's uses actual ingredients that resemble real food..not only do the beef and chicken taste like beef and chicken should, they taste better than what some of the twenty dollar burger joints around town are offering. Also, did I mention that the menu has almost fifty items..Burgers, chicken sandwiches, CORN DOGS, philly cheesesteaks, stuffed jalapenos, mozzerella sticks, gyros, milkshakes(32oz made with ice cream and milk, not 'frosty slurry') etc. I've eaten almost all of it and have yet to reflect upon the meal as not worth every fucking penny I spent..I can't say that about all the local places floating around(looking at you barista parlour). Ontop of all this glory, the burgers and chicken sandwiches weigh about THREE POUNDS. As a final note of awesomeness, this place is not trendy..there is nary a hipster or millionare 25 year old to be seen..Which in itsself is a great reason to go..This city is trying too hard to be cool, kinda like that nerdy kid who goes out and buys Affliction brand clothing..He should have just rode it out..Same with nashville..Fat moes oozes and sweats genuine nashville. So do yourself a favor. Go to Fat Moes and put yourself into a heroin-like food coma tonight!

Fat Mo's is by far the best burger you'll ever eat. I absolutely adore this place, and have never had a bad meal there. They never get my order wrong, are always quick, and the prices are amazing. The sides aren't always on point, but if you're going to Fat Mo's and don't want a burger, go somewhere else because this place does burgers and does them better than anyone.

If you want a great burger, that fills you up, for a great price, then head over to Fat Mos. I have been eating Fat Mos since I was a kid. The Alamaville RD location is the beat one and is still under Mr. Mo's management. What are you waiting for, go grab a great burger. You will be satisfied.

I was there a couple of days ago because my kids just had to have fat moes. I usually get them the Moe Burger to share and get all the toppings on the side so they can put what they like, because of course neither of them like the same things on their burgers. I ordered the deluxe moe burger w/ no bun. The kids loved their burger although the only sides they got to put on their burger was lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. They didnt give them mayo, mustard, ketchup, onions, or other things. My burger was suppose to come with jalepenos, which i found one little slice under my burger patty and mushrooms which I found two. The bacon looks like beggin strips I would feed my dog and very hard to chew. The guy who took our order was so in to his iphone that he really wasnt paying us much attention. Just long enough to take the order and the money. After he handed me my receipt i had to stand there a minute before he looked up from his phone to realize he didnt give me the cup for my drink. I have always been a fan of Fat Moe and all locations have been great and the food is amazing especially for the price. They are half the price of Five guys and their burgers are bigger and better. I dont know what was the deal with this location the day I visited. I will give them another chance because like I said we do love their burgers.

Hamburgers are excellent. The onion rings were so over cooked and greasy, they were not edible. The main drink dispenser only dispensed carbonated water so I chose the Sobe dispenser. That was so watered down, it was like drinking plain water. Disappointment.

You get a burger hand made by Mo himself when you come to this one. And WHAT A BURGER it was! The tea is excellent, fries are excellent, burger rocked my socks off. My only complaint is that the napkins disintegrate on the first wipe, so you'll need a lot!

Awesome experience. I was doing some training in Smyrna when I found this place. Great service an even better burgers! Will definitely be back. I highly Recommend the Double Moe.

Since the author of the 2010 review visited this place Moe himself has taken over this restaurant and the service is top shelf. When he isn't there, his son-in-law is and they both do their dead-level best to make sure that each and every customer knows that they are appreciated. Best burgers within 100 miles in any direction with shakes, fries and onion rings to match!
