Another FANTASTIC visit this past Easter weekend to Pal's!! I just LOVE this place. Frenchy fries, double junior burger and a bacon cheese burger, huge sweet tea! We were in our glory. So friendly, everything is perfectly prepared and HOT. McDonald's, Burger King and Arby's should take lessons from this management style. The line of cars was all the way into the road. Bravo Pal's or Rogersville!!!

This past Saturday we joined our Tennessee family for dinner at Amis Mill. We drove 6 miles down curvy country road with beautiful scenery. As we approached the sun was setting and the entire property was just glowing in warm sunlight. There were 9 in our party and we made a reservation a few days before. Upon entering a male manager or owner greeted us with a warm welcome. He then sized up our group and said, "this is going to work out really well" and we were shown to our table. Our table for 9 was actually 2 separate tables!! WTF. He said, "The 3 young people can sit here, and the 6 adults can sit over here." REALLY?!?! We spoke amongst ourselves and the kids ended up liking the idea of their own table but I would have preferred us to all eat and sit together, hence the reservation. I would normally have been pissed off and my meal ruined but our waitress was sweet as pie and the food was pretty good. The view from the covered porch was lovely. We shared: fried green tomatoes and alligator bites. Not my pick but I was starving and they both tasted fine. I had the flat iron steak with a baked potato. Others had smoked ribeyes, oysters!! In the mountains of Tennessee?!?!? and other various meals I now cannot remember. They had limited alcohol. I had a Fat Tire beer for $4. Total for 9 was about $150. which I though was very fair. I would return.
Amis Mill Eatery was one of the best place we had in our family vacation on 8/21. A nice lady name Linda from Longstreet Headquarters museum told us about this place, so we gave it a try. The drive from Morristown to Rogersville was phenomenal and fantastic. When we got to the restaurant which is inside the mountains our server Rechelle helped us from beginning to end. She had very good manners, great service and most of all very attentive. The food was fantastic my husband was very pleased and the BEST OF ALL was the dessert of the day was blueberry cobbler delicious. We were here for our family vacation and we loved the place, ambiance, and the small trails inside the property.
The most beautiful place to have a meal. Good food especially the Friday night smoked prime rib. Very pricey tho!
