Taco Bell

Reviews:
This is a nice customer service oriented restaurant. They are quick and fast to get up your order. Refills are free and self served. Now, everybody in this town seems to want to go at noon everyday. Therefore, if you go at this time, you will be in a long line. I recommend going at 11am or 1 pm to avoid the long lines and long wait. I usually go at 11 to beat the crowd before they get there. The food is great as I love their soft taco supremes. Look at specials they have from time to time as they are usually a good choice.

Customer service is always the best here. I miss the manager of this store as he retired last year. He used to always come up to our table and ask how we were doing. Furthermore, he always had a smile. However, others have been doing the same. What I like best about this store is they sell official military hats here which make good gifts since most of my family was in the military.

Great alternative to the Starbucks scene. This has a more trendy and rustic feel. I could easily see writers and poets hanging out here all day. The coffee is also better than Starbucks. It's got a deeper richer taste.
First time here, and we will be back...frequently! Mom and Pop coffee shop with a big city feel....hands down superior to Starbucks! The lavender iced tea is a must!!

Lupi’s Pizza Pies

Cambridge Square,9453 Bradmore Ln, Ste 109
Ooltewah, 37363
Reviews:
Our first time at a Lupi's: I got a veggie with fresh and sundried tomatoes, artichokes, spinach, jalapeños, onions and green peppers (after you pay for 4 toppings, no "extra" charge for more). My son got a supreme--both were great! On a Friday night, the crowd was pretty much 20-50 yr olds, with maybe 3-4 kids in the place. Very clean, new agey vibe, similar to Mellow Mushroom but better. Although they were busy, service was excellent and we enjoyed watching the guys toss the dough in the air to stretch it out. Would definitely go back!
What I really appreciate about Lupi's is their authentic flavors. In general, one of the biggest downsides to ordering pizza is getting a pie that is over-seasoned and tastes almost like processed food. Lupi's pizza is some of the freshest I've ever tasted. The crust tastes homemade. The sauce actually tastes like fresh tomatoes. The cheese tastes like fresh cheese. The toppings taste how they should. However, this does present a problem. If you have become accustomed to greasy, over-processed pizza, chances are you will be disappointed with Lupi's. This place really serves up fresh and natural tasting pizza. Everything on the menu is great. I recommended the lasagna as well. The bread comes with a side of dipping oil. GET A CALZONE! Fill it to your heart's content. If you're getting it for yourself, get the mini. It's big. Mini is not a good description. The bigger calzone is massive and could feed 2-3 people. One complaint: the bruschetta is pretty weak. I have always been really disappointed by it. It's toasted bread with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top (that's been baked and turned crusty) and served with a really tame, cold marinara. This is not a traditional bruschetta. You have been warned. (Also the vibe and staff are really chill. I love it. But when I say chill, I mean chill. Traditional, boring baby boomers who like Olive Garden and listen to oldies stations might not like the vibe. But you'll still love the food!)
Best pizza in Chattanooga! Always served fresh out of the oven with quality ingredients. We always get their white sauce with pepperoni and Italian sausage. The dough is always excellent. Thin, crispy and sweet with great texture. Their toppings are high quality meats with a little spicy kick. I usually skip the veggies... We have eaten at 3 of their 5 locations and they were all great. I also love that they are a local chain.

Burger King

5605 Little Debbie Pkwy
Ooltewah, 37363
Reviews:
This place is a MUST for any burger lover in the local area. Everything is grass-fed, even the french fries. Even in a land where physical fitness and nutritional health are at their peak, they have figured out how to serve "chicken fries" as a healthy alternative to regular fries. One innovation after another has me struck in awe with the King. His golden crown shines brightly as only a king's would. Did I mention, they also serve the classic 'Whopper'? And boy what a whopping behemoth it truly is. The service was robotic and impersonal, as is to be expected from those so passionate about the food they are, literally, creating. You cannot expect those exploding with such creative culinary ideas as the Oreo shake to also be social butterflies that are ready to burst from their cocoons of Croissan'wiches into the demanding, often tiring public. Overall, I give this restaurant a score of: wicked nice.
I wanted a hamburger today but they also have salads to choose from. They have free refills that are self serve like a gas station. They have pretty fast service. They could do better at the self serve island. But I was happy.

Aji Peruvian Restaurant

Ooltewah, 37363
Reviews:
I live in Chattanooga, but we have made the trip a couple of times to Aji because it is just so darned good. I have been to Peru and this place is authentic and so good! Guess what? You don't have to be worried about getting Montezuma's revenge (pretty much anyone who goes to Peru gets a stomach virus which you become immune to by the end of your trip and then like me kinda sucks because you never go there again...)! Save yourself the airline ticket, watch a video of Machu Picchu, and then experience savoriness of Peru at Aji.
My husband is peruvian and he loves some good peruvian food! Espically when his mom cooks it lol! But this place really did the trick. We started with a good assortment of appetizers - anticuchos aka beef hearts, empanadas, ceviche and papa a la huancaina. They were all really good - my favorites were the beef hearts and ceviche- they had great flavor, good citrus and were cooked spot on. I wasn't a huge fan of the empanadas- one it was a phylo dough and not very crispy- most likely baked, where I like the typical empanadas with the real masa dough and fried crispy. Additionally, the stuffing was subpar- lacking flavor while typically it has raisins and olives but this only had bland meat. We both ordered the lomo saltado - pan fried steak pieces with red onions, tomatoes, served over french fires and rice. It was good - but not great. While cooked well it was lacking some of the classic aji amarillo or panca pepper seasonings. We would definetly go back - it is real peruivan food.
Pretty good Peruvian food. If it's crowded, be prepared for a wait to get your food. Friendly staff...

Kevin Brown’s Burger

Reviews:
Hot food fast and great price point. The burgers are the best and I don't say best a lot.
As the name states, this is a burger joint and they know how to make a mean burger. A mean big burger! Sure they have other items, the brisket is normally great, but the burgers are why you go, what draws you back. The only bug negative is the location across from Countryside Cafe. When in the area Countryside wins most of the time. But when the burger urge takes over this place gets it done. Not much of a place to look at, but the dive type hidden burger spots rarely are. If you live in the Chattanooga area you have to try these.
We are regulars here and the good is still outstanding. The issue anymore is the service. There are only two servers and they have to handle the phone, cash registrar, and to-go orders. They need one more to help handle the work. They will take orders out of order (last in first served) and that is frustrating when you have been waiting ten minutes to order. The a/c is weak at best. There is nothing worse than sitting on the booth sweating waiting on your food. I previously gave them a five star rating, but the decline in service and the lack of air conditioning forced me to lower the rating.

awesome! its what it is. love to eat here . fresh vegetables and homemade pies. stop in and leave happy everytime . plan on being here a while because great food has a wait time and perfection takes time too. love it. cant say it enough.
We used to come here a lot about 7-8 years ago. I guess I just forgot about it or it wasn't convenient. But it was my bday and I wanted comfort food. It absolutely was the same as before... Hot, fresh, yummy and large portions. Nothing here tastes like it came from a can. The country fried steak is to die for. Tender, salty, crispy... And a large piece. The mashed potatoes are real, perfectly seasoned with just enough lumps to taste like your Mom made them. They have several daily vegetables and meat specials but get there early if you want the full selections. When they are out they are out! And every time I have been here they have crossed something off the list. I can honestly say I have never had anything I didn't like. The desserts are exceptional. My only complaint is that all the cream pies have merengue. And I am not a fan. But that is just a personal preference. The best dessert here is the sinful delight. Chocolatey fluffy goodness. The same sweet woman my daughter and I remember serving us years ago is still there... Such a joyful woman. She seems to truly love her job and loves all the kids who come in. They give every kid a treat when you leave. Such a great touch!!
Decided to try out this place and wasn't disappointed. The place was packed full and I can see why. Plenty of choices of food, like mom used to cook. Great size portions and friendly staff. We didn't order any dessert, but looking at the other people who did, they were huge slices of pie and cake. Would definitely visit again if in town.

China Rose Chinese Restaurant

9203 Lee Hwy
Ooltewah, 37363
Reviews:
I've had bad Chinese take-out, but I've never had a Chinese take-out meal so bad that I felt compelled to write a bad review about it. Until now. I ordered delivery. The hotel where I'm staying has a menu for China Rose in the rooms. The young lady who delivered the food had no change. None. She got a large tip because she couldn't make change and I was in a hurry. The food is awful. The beef in my beef and vegetables is raw. Not rare. Raw. Everything else is bland and/or slimy with bad sauce. Beware.
I really appreciate their special vegetarian menu that's full of great dishes. It's also great that they offer an artificial chicken. I prefer the artificial chicken over the tofu but my wife prefers the tofu. The food always comes out quickly, my order has always been accurate and the nice young lady that works the counter is always very friendly.
Only thing better than this place is an actual sit-down Chinese restaurant, but as far as Chinese takeout goes, this is the place to eat! My wife and I have eaten here at least twice a month for the past couple years. We love their General Tso chicken! Their bourbon chicken is great too! I used to frequent China Kitchen, another Chinese takeout about five minutes away, and is closer to the school I attended. Then a friend of mine took me to China Rose. I asked him what's the point of going farther away, even if it is only five minutes, to get the same food? To my surprise, and good surprise, the food here is better than China Kitchen's! My usual dish is their General Tso chicken, and you can definitely tell the difference in both quality of flavor and texture! I did notice that Rose gave me more fried rice than chicken, and is vice-versa for Kitchen. My friend said it's a matter of quality over quantity. How true that is! I went back to Kitchen to try their General Tso chicken months after I gave Rose my full business, and the meal was just not up to par with Rose. I feel sorry for the reviewer K.K. and his/her experience. I've never had a problem with their food or service, although I have never had them deliver to me. The prices are very affordable, as you get a lot for what you pay for. Their lunch special is the best! $6 for a lot of food! I know I said earlier that they give you more rice than chicken, but lately I've noticed it's about 50/50 now. Still, even if it was more rice than chicken, I'd still keep coming back! Try this place out! I of course recommend their General Tso chicken!
