The food was really good and the brunette girl who took our order was really sweet and recommended her favorites on the menu. We arrived 20 minutes before they closed but they still offered free ice cream even though they were already closed when we finished our meal and didn't rush us at all. The price was just a little steep in my opinion but I will return.

1st time there for some take out. Chicken was dried out, fries looked like they scrapped all the burnt drops from the bottom of the fryer. I was not tasting anything special.

Always great food! Family friendly place with lots of personality. The menu is always consistent. Solo glad they brought back the fried pickles!! Whether you're stopping by for lunch or dinner, be prepared to get full.

On a recent trip to Nashville with my family we went to McDougal's Chicken. They use fresh, organic chicken and it's amazing. They cut their own fries and the portions are huge. Well worth the price. So take my advice. Next time you're in Nashville stop by. You won't regret it.

Good wings, dry chicken strips, good fries, one order of fries is really enough for 2-3 people. Rustic decor is cool, restaurant inside temp not so cool....really good free ice cream is really cool.

K, so I typically only come here when getting repair work done on my car in the back (Patterson Automotive). Any time I've come, I order something chicken. Once was the salad, then the basket, then the sandwich. All is good, and fair prices for all, except for one thing. Every 2 or 3 pieces of chicken, I bite down, and get a bit of tendon. the first time was a fluke, the secong time - unlucky. However, the third time in a span of 6 months, that's a quality control issue. Either trim your chickin better, or change vendors. Everything else I like about this place - the service, the prices, the decor, and the cleanliness are all spot on. I can't give four stars for a consistent problem. Fix this problem, and you've won me over. Otherwise...I'm getting to the point where I'll just go somewhere else. I want you guys to be great...and you're so close to that.

yummy chicken, hand battered, tender, and they appear to actually consist of only chicken meat (opposed to those nasty things that have left over pieces and parts). the sauces are great too, when ordering the large basket you get to choose 3, choose wisely, because you have to pay for extras. the services is a bit lacking and slow, because as ryan p mentioned in his review, the kids that work here are social butterflies, and that seemed to have taken precedent while we were there.

Love McDougal's, this place has some of the best wings I have ever had, wet and juicy and pipping hot. Great flavor and spice. The owner is always super nice and goes out of his way to make his customers feel welcome.

I really wanted to like this place. Wings were soggy and just lousy. Chicken strips were really good I have to say. Very limited menu even for a chicken place which made me think the quality would have been better with few menu items.. They could be an awesome place if they wanted to be, but they need to make crispy wings with sauces that aren't just "ok". I will try you once more time, but that will be it. You have a cool little place that makes me want to support you over a sports bar for wings, but you make it hard.

So fresh, juicy and soft till the core. I visted this place today evening. I tried their combo of thin crispy fries, buffalo sauce chicken wings and honey bee sauce dipped chicken tenders. All the things were so freshly made- not the frozen typical stuff that almost all fast foods joints would serve typically. It was all accompanied by thick bread toast, toasted in butter to perfection, soft and crispy at d same time. All of this was such a heavenly treat, coudn't have asked for more. This is when we were served a complimentary vanila flavored soft serve. Usually any free stuff isnt of a great quality, hence, I was little hesitant on trying it. But , it was treat for my taste buds. So rich and creamy. It was a perfect ending to the meal. I highly recommend this place specially when u wana have awesome freshly made chicken wings in a lively atmosphere.

This place is AWESOME! Great, friendly, atmosphere. Super welcoming and engaging staff. The food is pretty simple. Chicken, fries, salads. But it's GOOD! Seems like a great place to go on a Friday night.

Love this Mcdougal's location. The chicken fingers are some of the best that I have ever had. Always fresh! The sauces are all homemade even the ranch dressing. You can definitely tell the difference. They do have a limited menu, but if you are in the mood for chicken fingers and fries in a great atmosphere, this is your place. It has a cool vibe, and the service is excellent. Wonderful staff, and the owner is great to work with for catering orders. Love this place!

  • Steve M.

Good: -Friendly staff -Dipping sauce was good -Convenient location Bad: -Pricey for fast food - be prepared to spend at least $9-12 per person -Frozen, not fresh french fries (plus chicken arrived hot, fries were cold) -"Free Ice Cream" advertised was a tiny sample / taster cup for a child. After spending $12 per person on a meal, the least they can do is offer a free cone, if desired. Came across as stingy and left a bad taste in our mouth about returning back to patronize Mcdougals.

I tried this place with my son who is a huge fan of the free ice cream but it was just okay for me. I ordered the naked hot chicken which was overcooked but cold. Weird right? I also didn't feel very well after eating there so I'm thinking the chicken was cooked then set aside somewhere. I really enjoyed the fries that have a sweet and salty taste to them but I can't say that it was enough to go back. Even though was chicken was tossed in a gold sauce and served with some sort or ranch side it didn't have any flavor and of course being overcooked made for a really horrible texture. I'm glad so many people enjoy this place but it's just not for me.

Best chicken tenders ever! Love that you can get them fried or grilled. I love all of their sauces, but I'm obsessed with the honey bee and honey mustard there. My husband enjoys the gold sauce and citrus chipotle. Their sweet tea is the best I've had out for sure. Their salads are also a good option if I want something a little different. I think it's a plus that the staff is always nice and friendly- seems like they all enjoy their jobs! Also they are always going out of their way to clean up what you are finished with or ask you if you would like any free custard. Not only is it free- it is amazing. I really can't say enough good things about this place. A great atmosphere to go with my family or have dinner with friends. Cute little saddles for the kids to sit on and a claw machine that kids can actually win easily for the cute rubber duckies!! Oh and I also need to mention the large beer selection and TV's! If you haven't tried Mcdougals- it's a must!!!

  • Grant G.

Food is mediocre, I've had better chicken wings and fries. As for the beer part in their name, they should really take this part out. All they had was bottled beer and it was overpriced. We got 6 wings, 3 fingers, 2 orders of fries and 2 beers and it came to $30... you'd think that since there is no wait staff the prices would be a little more reasonable.

  • Ryan P.

Good chicken tenders and some good sauces. Took awhile to get food because the cooked it fresh. One small issue I had was that the service seemed to be more about hanging out at the register and less about serving food.

  • Jen V.

Food is good but do not try to call in an order 30 minutes before closing they DO NOT answer their phone!! Not the first time this has happened but the 3rd. So we started going somewhere else.

One of our favorite family night out places!! Friendly staff and the owner is usually always there going out of his way to say hello and making sure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves. Food is good, crave it on a weekly bases. Love the Buffalo chicken salad, fries and the fried mac n cheese is to die for!!

This a new chicken place that opened up in February. McDougals has replaced the moved Uncle Bud;s Fish Shack. They kept the licence plates and some other decor however it doesn't have it own charm. Very good chicken wings, fries were ok, and friendly staff. You can get free ice cream but the machine was not working at during our dining time. I'd go back.
