slightly more death-to-the-environment than the Froverloaded CiCis due to the crazy plastic spoons. Nicer impact zone though as I did not see cups wafting down the streets as an Italian actor dressed as a native American cried looking at his land littered like I do every time I'm in the Belcourt area. The banana was not good... it tasted like the crunchy banana candies turned into ice cold bleh. The German chocolate was divine, I was amazed by it. Seems like I had a pretty good cheesecake-yo, but it paled in comparison to the chocolate. Had a bit of the tart watermelon I think (I'd mixed a bunch of things into one bit) and seem to recall liking it (may have been tart strawberry) I wasn't feeling so hot when I went there, so the mood was sort of blah, but I didn't really find a lot of toppings I wanted. This could have been me in a foul mood "no favorite food in the whole world, I do not want you" or a limited selection, sadly due to being riddled with allergies and sinus medication these memories are not quite clear. But they evidently didn't have what sick me was looking for in way of something to put on top. Who knows. I'd considering announcing them my Froverlord

There is always friendly staff waiting to ring you up and it feels a lot better serving yourself samples instead of having to be waited on like at Sweet Cece's. there has never been a crowd when I went in, so there is never a problem with seating.

Best part about Menchie's is that you get to serve yourself both samples and the yogurt and toppings. They have lots of flavor choices. Prices are a little steep but you can take advantage of offers from Groupon and others. Place is clean with outdoor seating and the girls that work there are cute and nice.

Awesome froyo, fabulous flavor selection, awesome and very friendly staff. Extremely clean. Only downside is that it was pricey. Everything else is great.

You can't see it, but I'm doing a happy dance right now just thinking about Menchie's and their adorable little swirl-headed mascot. Aside from the brilliant marketing of this fro-yo chain (serious swag: kickballs, t-shirts and temporary tattoos, oh my!), I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is hands down my favorite fro-yo in metro-Nashville. (Apologies to Cece's and Peachwave. I just have more fun here.) ...But I should talk about the quality and taste, too: Menchie's consistently serves up fantastic surprising flavors that you get to sample (my favorite part!) before making a final commitment. And the toppings! Oh, the toppings. I love the fresh fruit assortment as well as the cheesecake bites and brownies for when I'm feeling a need to splurge. Another cool thing about Menchie's (do you really need me to go on?) is the daily deals. Whether it's free waffle bowl Wednesdays, 15% off at "Smiley Hour", or donating a can to Second Harvest and getting 10% off + a 20% off coupon... I'll be back, Menchie's! You don't have to bribe me. (But I'm really glad you do.) TIP: Pick up a free smileage card! You get 25pts for activating your card and when you accrue 50pts, you get $5 in Menchie's bucks. FREE MENCHIE'S, Y'ALL. If that's not a reason for jazz hands, I don't know what is.

First time here!! Such a darling place....the cups and spoons are a cute touch. They have a great selection as well. However only 2 choices for non dairy ice cream (sorbets) makes me sad :( It's located in Lenox Village with all the other cute stores :))) Prices go by weight so they can be a little pricey but it is so worth it!!

Susan G review sums up my review of this place. 1) yogurt has no taste and seems like watered down. 2)kids running the place and are just hanging out instead of running a business. I barely took 2 bites of my yogurt and threw it away. They need to step it up to compete with sweet cicis.

I LOVE Menchie's originally back in Burbank,CA and was so excited when this location opened. We drive 20 miles to come out here and this visit was the worst. Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. 2 machines were not even open and one flavor was out of order. There was chocolate yogurt on the floor walked thru, fruit was empty and bananas were brown. Looked like topping selections were reduced. (No fruity pebbles). And the women's bathroom would not lock. 2 girls behind the counter actually walked over the chocolate on the floor but didn't clean it up.. sorry to see this location go down hill. I don't think I have ever saw a Menchie's location this bad.

The yogurt was awful! It was watery and had little flavor. The chocolate fudge syrup was watery and not at all thick and fudge like. The people working there were kids who couldn't care less when I complained about the chocolate syrup! There should be an adult in the store overseeing the business. We'll never go there again. The reason we went there was because we went with our grandchildren in Houston and enjoyed it a lot even though it was still pricey!

I love the froyo here, but the customer service sucks! They have the small containers now for $3.99. I went to check out and the lady gave me a total of $7 something. I told her that the sign on the small refrigerator door where the containers are kept says that they're $3.99. She re-rang it and told me the same exact price ($7 something) *Blank stare*. I again told her that they were $3.99 and she said that her manager would have to ring it up because she didnt know how....then just stood there and waited for the manager to come out instead of going to get her. It didnt take long, but the fact that she didnt even bother to find her or listen to what I was saying peeved me. Not only was service lacking on this visit, but it has been the last few times I've been there. Please get it together Menchie's! I dont want to stop coming!

Always have gluten free chocolate my daughters favorite. Everything in it is listed. Allergy friendly with labels

Basically the same selection as any yogurt shop, same toppings and all, just a lot more expensive. The staff is friendly enough and it's always pretty clean but it's not worth the money.

A froyo place where I'm finally treated by big boy rules! Why do other places insist on setting how much I can get and how much I can put on? After hearing me whine and bitch and bitch and moan about how Pinkberry or Tasti d lite just giving me what they thought was 'large' or 'small' that day. My friend finally decided to shut me up by bringing us here after dinner. The flavors there though aren't as potent, I tried all of their varieties and none of them particularly stood out that much. Also, they seemed overstaffed with 3 or 4 people working on a quiet night. I can't really say for sure because there was one girl out front, busily restocking sample cups, wiping down the toppings bar and the machines while her other co-'workers' were in the back talking loudly, coming out front to check if it was busy and then prairie dogging it to the rear of the store where they could goof off again. I guess I can't get both, AYCE froyo and good tasting froyo in Nashville.

By far, the best froyo around! Sweet CeCe's is much closer to my home, but I will gladly drive out of my way for Menchie's :)

Menchie's does some things good and some bad. The overall design and branding of the store is terrific, very appealing. The product itself is hot or miss, sometimes its not frozen all the way and so its drippy which doesn't make it so good. The "original tart" is not as good as Krave or Yogurt World Cafe. Topping selection is pretty good and they get extra points for having Mochi. Best of all they utilize the self serve method of product delivery so you can have a $2 cup and as many Cap'N Crunch as you want. Service is usually good, the girls are always friendly. The manager smokes cigarettes near the front door sometimes, not so attractive.

In my quest for the ultimate yelp list of Fro Yo, I decided to drive out to Lennox Village to try Menchies on my way to visit a friend. (Ice Cream for dinner, the things I do for the sake of comparison ;)) Even though this place is a chain which my hipster heart wants to hate, I have to hand it to them on a few points (after all its just ice cream, not anything important like pizza or burgers): So many interesting flavors on rotation! Chai tea? Tart Watermelon? Varied and all tasty! (except banana -ew) Sample cups made available without asking - big deal especially when paying the premium price. Always a bummer to put it in your cup then hate it. (I'm looking at you gross banana flavor) Unique toppings along with the standards - mochi and hot marshmallow syrup. Yummer! The german chocolate flavor - this is the only chocolate ice cream/fro yo I've ever liked! I usually think anything chocolate flavored (besides chocolate itself in pure form) is gross, but this is almost sorbet like in texture and very dark and rich. The decor is silly and they have a mascot that looks like Super Mario Toads weird cousin - nearly anime, but I cant help but sort of like it - please keep in mind I am a 30 year old who still smiles at Hello Kitty, so yeah... If you are in the area and need a sweet fix its worth the price tag - I don't think I'd go out of my way though.

Finally! I was wondering when the heck I was going to do another positive froyo review. Other than Sweet Cece's and Yogi's (which is closed, anyway), everything seemed so bland and unpleasant. Menchie's is really tasty, very fresh, and has a good selection of toppings. I was in and out quickly, and the girls behind the counter were pretty and friendly. Would I have liked it to have been a little more reasonably prices? Sure, but you take what you can get.

My favorite FroYo. I have tried everywhere and nothing comes close to Menchies. Wonderful selection of toppings - really the best in town. The flavors rotate weekly. Tart and vanilla seem to be a couple of stable flavors. The tart is absolutely amazing. I also love the selection of dairy free and/or sugar free options. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is sometimes they run out of the more popular flavors and the selection gets low. Other than that 5 stars.

The store looks amazing and the frozen yogurt is incredibly yummy! They have a fantastic patio area where you can sit with your treats and watch all the people walk by. We had the cheesecake with strawberries and the birthday cake with fudge! Basically it is self server. When you come in you get a cup which you can fill with whatever you want and then they weigh your cup and charge accordingly. If you haven't been to Lenox Village yet I would suggest coming out to check out some of the new restaurants and the Farmer's Market on a sunny day. It's a great place to walk around.

I like going to Menchie's after my workout. They have a great flavors and toppings. While I stick to the fruit toppings and non/lowfat choices, they don't taste that way. Usually, the cashiers are there and attentive. However, when I was there on Saturday, the cashier disappeared for what seemed like 10 min. She did come back and apologize, but there was no one manning the front. She was lucky that there were honest people waiting to pay. I wish they had a tasting area. Because the way the store is set up, if people want to taste the flavors, they are in the way of people who know what they want. While I understand they may not be able to do that for all flavors, then maybe, they could have a tasting flavor of the day. Another thing, I wish they could do something about the parking. For those that don't live in Lenox Village, there aren't enough parking spaces because of all of the other businesses there. Keep in mind, the prices are per ounce. I love Menchie's, especially, since it's the only yogurt place close to my house!

If you're looking for fro-yo, you might as well go to Sweet CeCe's. Way more selection of tasty treats. But Menchie's is good. The shop is darling and there's always the same two girls working, like no matter what day or time you go, there they are. haha! Oh, I almost forgot, the annoying thing about Menchie's is their pumps! Like all you want is the machine to get you your fro yo but it's like molasses. takin' it's time!

After visiting this place 20 or so times, and visiting a competitor about half that many times, I have to admit I was way overzealous with first review. While Menchies keeps it interesting by rotating a variety of seasonal flavors, I can't help but think their froyo falls monumentally short of other options. Compared to other froyo vendors in the area, I find the consistency here to be less than stellar. It is more watery, less rich, and generally less satisfying than other options which are not very far away. Even though this location is less than .5 of a mile from my house, I will seriously consider the drive to a much better froyo vendor 10 miles away the next time my sweet tooth calls. Having said all that, it is still good, especially if you live in the area, I just think it could be a lot better.

This is a fun concept - and the yogurt was tasty...though not "walk across hot coals" tasty. The topping choices were eclectic and fun. The night I went there were many many (like 12) children going through the line--- and it was a combination of amusing and annoying to watch these 3' tall humans go back and forth and back and forth making their choices and making a mess. Not sure there's a solution to that - the kids should enjoy the fun....but it did make it a little hard to go through as an adult. I guess I sound like an old grump...sorry!

I came to Nashville ALL THE WAY from Chicago to try Menchies. Well... actually, I came for a wedding, and menchies was an added bonus. A little background, I am kind of obsessed with froyo, and feel the need to try all the froyo places I can get my hands on. For this reason, I will be comparing menchies to other froyo shops. The store itself is super cute, organized, clean, and the employees are quite delightful, very helpful, and smiley. The yogurt: Hmm. I definitely like it, but compared to yogurtland (another self-serve froyo chain) , it falls short. I got cake batter, red velvet, peanut butter, and plain tart. The cake batter didn't have much taste. The red velvet was pretty good, peanut butter was alright. The plain tart was the most dissapointing for me, I think compared to other froyo places with tart yogurt (Pinkberry, Red Mango, Berry Chill, Yagoot, Yogurtland, and other non-chains) their tart original falls in 2nd to last place, just above Red Mango. BUT-- the other flavors are good, and their toppings are plentiful and yummy. I got mochi (yum, good quality mochi), cookie dough, and strawberries on top of mine. The fruit looked fresh, the strawberries WERE fresh, and the customers seemed quite delighted. The only other drawback was the price. While still cheaper than Pinkberry and Berry Chill (and other non-self-serve places), it was 44cents an ounce, which is pricier than (most) Yogurtland stores. I definitely paid more for my mix than I do at yogurtland and there wasn't more froyo in there. I usually pay 3-4 at yogurtland and I paid almost 6 here. Anyway, bottom line, Menchies, please come to Chicago like you said you would. Yogurtland has no plans of coming so you're my only hope. :)

Multiple brain freeze is inevitable. You honestly have to pace yourself with this YummyFest. With flavors changing every 2 weeks, you have 21 flavors on any given day. Mix that with fresh fruit, brownies, sprinkles or spoonfuls of sugar love and you have a big ol' bowl of happiness. The light shades are cool, too.

Menchie's: Frozen Yogurt and FA SHO a treat. Not a big fan of deserts or sweets or anything like that, but man, this place is dope. One of those new fad type place and i dont have anything to compare it to but i can say it was well worth it. Took my sister and my 3 year old nephew down for a treat and it was fun and has a nice patio for the warm days ahead!! Its actually in my apt complex so convenient but to anyone in the Nolensville/Brentwood area, def check it out. Props. I shall return next time i have a yearning for something sweet... so in like 2 months, no offense. THUMBS UP!

Menchie's definitely gets an A+ for atmosphere. However, being a frozen custard fan, the frozen yogurt falls short. Their contemporary and funky space sets the tone, but the do-it-yourself yogurt line is a bit confusing. And in my book, frozen custard comes first, ice cream second, and frozen yogurt third. While the yogurt was nothing to write home about, it did kill my sweet tooth craving, and the many topping choices added to its appeal. The big buzz kill? Not knowing exactly how much we'd have to fork over at the register. All in all, it was a good experience, and it's five minutes from home. It definitely fits the Lenox Village vibe.

Flavors were limited and staff was not friendly for being a family environment. Nice seating. Weird concoctions of flavors but nice assortment of toppings. A little overprice for what you get.

I was finally able to go to Menchies after months living in TN. I was glad we went there. We always loved Menchies in the west coast. We were in Nashville for the day and on the way back, we went to our favorite spot. It had a lot of choices for their froyo. Too bad they didn't have the red velvet. Other than that, they had lots of flavors. Their biggest positive are their choices of toppings! They have about 30 different ones. From sweets, nuts, fruit, and fudge, their selection is the best. The only thing they were missing that other franchises have is their homemade whipped cream. I was so looking forward to that. They also have waffle bowls! I so wish we had Menchies in our town. They just have a very extensive selection. The reasons why I took off a star were due to the missing whipped cream and they are pretty expensive. I know we had a pretty big serving but I was surprised when the bill came up. Next time, we need to make sure we know what the price is per ounce.

I first tried this place about a year ago and had my last serving a couple weeks ago. This place isn't what I would recommend, the staff isn't very friendly nor did they say anything when i went to check out, but their atmosphere has my win!

  • French R.

Very limited selection..even if the selection changes. I am not looking for exotic flavors, but there is not a coffee or pistachio for example. I had a mixed berry, and it was just ok. Store bought and artificial taste. On the positives, nice choice of toppings, fun atmosphere, nice for kids...

kids love it, very family friendly location. nice patio outdoors, decent seating inside, too. think the froyo itself is ok - but it's definitely popular with the young families living in SouthNash.
