You've gotta love the handmade ice cream of Maggie Moos - specifically the butter pecan...woah! The ice cream is sweet and smooth making it a great option for all your sweet tooth needs. The saving grace of MMs is being able to "stuff the scoop" with unlimited toppings. Granted, I didn't try to test the limits on those, but you DEFINITELY should. A little pricey, but MMs is worth the trip.

I love coming here! The ice cream is wonderful. I think it's even better than Jenis. The unlimited mix-ins are great! I'm not sure of any other ice cream shop where you can do this. What really keeps me coming back is the top notch customer service I always get from a man who works there. I'm not sure of his name, but I believe he is a manager. He is always smiling, and it's obvious he genuinely enjoys his job. He even has my order memorized and does a great job with the mix-ins each time. He is efficient yet is still able to show each customer that he cares. I would highly recommend this particular Maggie Moos!

Ice cream twice in a day?!? Okay. So, ended up here first because it's close to our hotel. Can't say enough about the very cool options and the old-school creamery style setup of this joint. I appreciate how much ice cream shops these days let you know right on the labels what has wheat, etc., because it makes life a lot easier for the gluten-free among us. I liked all of the toppings and options that could make my ice cream experience even more enjoyable and ended up with the salted caramel which was delightful and the mint which paired with it. I could've easily have enjoyed half a dozen more flavors, but opted against.

Great ice cream, terrible customer service. I have been there several times, and the staff there is routinely slow and unprofessional. If not for that, it would be a great place to go.

Worst customer service. We've been here multiple times and have never been treated nicely. We went to grab ice cream tonight and stood in the lobby for five minutes while multiple people were sitting there eating ice cream. No one helped us. I went around to the front and could see the employees just standing in the back. This place has cameras so I'm sure they could see us standing there; still no one helped us. This place could care less about their customers; if they did, they would do a better job at training their employees and teaching them about customer service. This place will not be getting any of our business anymore.

I have always loved Maggie Moos, but bc of the frozen yogurt craze, I haven't been back until recently... and it made me wonder why did I not come here instead!? The ice cream here is made fresh daily and the small is HUGE... you get sooo much ice cream! I loved the peanut butter flavor... I mixed it with dark chocolate and topped with a brownie! yum~ Also, their ice cream cakes are fantastic, got one for my dad's birthday this year and everybody was fighting over the last piece! We got the turtle flavor, it was dynamite!

I dont know why ppl talk so much about Jeni's icecream. I like this place so much better! I am not a big fan of icecream w crazy mixes. No licorish sage butternut caramel icecream for me. Nothing like the good old plain strawberry.. And hmm mixed w brownies and reeses cups. Im a fan!

Maggie Moo's is a great place to stop for ice cream. It has great flavor mixes and the ice cream itself is very rich and creamy. It was $9 for 2 people for the medium size. If you are on vacation and looking for a classic nashville ice cream shop this is not it, but if you are looking for good tasting ice cream this is the place for you. It is very similar to cold stone creamery.

Okay, to be fair, I was pretty cross with my previous review. I guess I was needy and it made me write a crappy review for MaggieMoo's when they are out of all the things I wanted. Since then I've been back several times and it hasn't generated as much frustration. They still don't have Nilla Wafers (as a chain they don't have them) but the Waffle Bowl problem has not reoccurred. If you are looking for Ice Cream Treatery, you'll do just fine at "The Moo" (nobody calls it that, I just made that up)

Great ice cream. The quality is always the same -- superb. I just don't enjoy the new "points" program. Guess I'm old school and enjoyed the punch card system better.

I somehow made it through my childhood, teen and college years without having tried this type of mix-in ice cream on a cold slab situation, so I don't have much to compare it to when I say MAGGIEMOO'S IS REALLY FREAKING GOOD. It is also just a few blocks from my apartment, but it always trumps the equally close DQ when I have cravings. The employees are really patient when you need to try a few flavors to make sure you make the right decision, and they also make very delicious suggestions. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later. Sometimes you just need ice cream + Netflix to end a long day.

Maggie Moos is sinful. Seriously. How many decadent flavors of ice cream is it really legal to have? And all those yummy toppings too?? I love the whole mixing-ice-cream-on-cold-slabs thingy places have started doing. Its nice not having melty ice cream from the start. I am personally very fond of their cakes as well, and they have kept many a birthday folk happy in my life for years now. While this location is small, and is very crowded on the weekends with its proximity to Vanderbilt, it's still nice to come here with a sweet tooth and taste the various flavors that interest you in the quest to find that perfect combo to satisfy your craving. The staff are always really helpful and have great recommendations. You'll pay a little bit more than say a dairy queen but it will be worth it. And with its closeness to Centennial Park, I would recommend a picnic with ice cream on nice days. The cake batter ice cream is my personal favorite and I would recommend it to anyone guilty of making a cake or cookies at home and eating half the batter instead.

I got a small dark chocolate. It had two large scoops of ice cream, which I came nowhere close to finishing, but it was really tasty! Next time I need an ice cream fix, I'm coming here! And I'm probably going to try the strawberry ice cream since I can imagine MaggiMoo's being really good.

So my fiance and I had some vouchers for a BOGO ice cream from Maggie Moo's. It is sad that this place is shrinking as much as they are, as they are really good. In fact I dare say they are second only to Sweet CeCe's, which only has them beat on concept, and tied with Ben and Jerry's. But the quality of the product is extremely good. I had two of my favorites, cake batter with cookie dough and it was amazing. Plenty of cooking dough chunks mixed in along with crushed oreo cookies into cake batter ice cream.... so good that it made me feel like a kid again. I wish they would expand back out though as they have been shutting down a lot of locations recently. :(

Maggie Moo's has always been good to us students for a nightly ice cream run, especially before the boom of fro-yo places. A big cup of creamy ice cream with tons of mix-ins is sometimes what you need over a frozen yogurt, although Maggie also has smoothies and fro-yo now, too. I love the colorful menu with the examples of ice-cream/mix-in combinations. They always let you taste-test the flavors, and the workers are generous with their portions and do their job well. The entertainment book always has good coupons for Maggie Moo's. Great parking, good number of chairs and tables, brightly lit, and open when we need ice cream- all good things. While I'm more of a fro-yo fan, I do like Maggie Moo's when I'm craving more sugar!

I'm big fan. At this point there are a couple other marble top ice cream shops I've visited and they seem to be all the same.

I was only there one time. I had a peanut butter and chocolate shake. I loved it! I would go back for sure.

Super rich ice cream - especially the strawberry and the new root beer ice cream

So this place is like the Cold Stone's I have back home, but I've grown to like this place. The ice cream is a little softer than the Baskin/Robbins', and it has a nicer velvety texture to it. I love the fact that they throw in the junk - if you're not into the "junk in ice cream" joints, then you'll get less out of this place, but I still think that the ice cream is good straight up. The only drawback is that depending on who preps the ice cream, I get inconsistent breakage on the brownie. Smaller pieces people! I don't want half of the brownie piece in one bite.

I know Maggie Moo's is a chain, but having never had it before I moved to Nashville, this review if for those 'not from around these parts' people. I cant think of anything better than someone letting me pick my ice cream and then letting me shove it full of any and every topping I can think of, and believe me I do just that. My favorite Maggie Moo's ice cream flavors are better batter or cheesecake; mix in caramel, brownies, and cookie dough and you have heaven in a cup. Seriously, delicious and if you don't like it, it's your own fault because you pretty much made it yourself!

I love this idea for an ice cream shop where the customer designs their own sugary treats and watches as the moo-er creates it in front of them. It makes the ice cream taste fresh. They have a generous amount of flavors to choose from and it usually takes me a bit of time (and a lot of samples) before I can decide on one. Their ice cream is good enough to eat all on its own but if you're in the mood for something more they have plenty of toppings to choose from. They have everything from candy pieces to fresh fruit, just pick one (or three) and the toppings get kneaded into the ice cream. This is great because you're ice cream to topping ratio always turns out perfect, you get even flavors in every bite! If you don't feel like being decisive, they have concocted quite a few recipes for you to choose from. You can get anything from a milkshake to a sundae! I also love that they have ice cream packaged in pints that you can take home. Or if you want a larger dessert they have some delicious ice cream cakes! They even will do custom orders if you want a particular flavor, but you'll need to give them some time. The worst thing about this place is their staff. For some reason working at Maggie Moo's is highly appealing to very snotty teenagers, at least at this location anyway. Usually I have to keep reminding the person of what I ordered and half the time they make it wrong anyway. Also I don't know or really want to know what they're doing in the back room here, but for some reason even if there are 3 people working, only one person will be helping customers. Because they are a chain and have a poor choice in staff I gave them only 3 stars. The ice cream really is tasty though.

So they are an ice cream place, and their ice cream is good, but I love their sorbet. They have the best arrangement of sorbet flavors, and more than any other place in town. I like their mango but they also have raspberry and apparently Red Bull (but I won't try that). I'll usually stop at this location after dinner at Ted's next door. Although, if you're like me and enjoy wandering around while you eat it, move along. This shopping center is not conducive to window shopping and ice cream eating.

Maggie Moo's is pretty tasty! I really like the texture of their ice cream. It is very soft. They have a cool way of serving up the ice cream, you choose whatever toppings you want and then they mash it up into the ice cream, essentially making one of the best ice cream cones around! You must try the red velvet flavor ice cream they have. It is so good! It actually looks like red velvet! Be warned: this is a big junior high and high school date place, so be prepared to be surrounded by lots of tweens and teenagers if you go in there on Friday or Saturday night! Quite frankly, I hate going in there on the weekends because of it! But I do cave sometimes, so I can get my sugar fix!
