Nice little place in Gaylord Opryland! Very nice beer selection, anytime you can get a Thelonius! Place is kinda cool, could be better, seems a little dated and the terrace could use a bit more seclusion from the main walking area. The food however was amazing! THEE BEST Rueben I've ever had! Spot on! The pastrami was just rediculous! Bread had a nice crunch on it, sauce tasted homemade! Wow! Think I'm gonna need another one of them! We also had the blt sliders, again, very good great taste! Service was very good, very pleasant and offered suggestions! Food came in timely manner for how busy it was that evening! A manager came to our table to make sure all was good! It was great! Will be back for sure!

This place has AMAZING food! Their Chicken Noodle Soup is like nothing I've ever had before - it's even better than my Grandma's soup and that is saying a lot. The ambience is nice and the beer is great (how can you go wrong with a Guinness?). Stop in if you are in the area.

I ate at Findley's my first night at the Gaylord and I have to say, "meh" is about right for me. The server was nice, and the atmosphere was really cool, but the food was hard for me to figure out. It was a really ambitious fish with capers dish, but somehow they made the fish mushy and it was huge!!! It must have been four pounds of fish without exaggeration. Not sure if the size of the fish made the problem seem bigger than it was, but it was basically inedible to me. I have a feeling if I was a drinkin' man, this place would have been better, but I don't drink which meant this place held little for me. Three stars is for the service and the atmosphere, the food was one or two stars at best.

After reading the lukewarm reviews from fellow Yelpers, I was determined to prove everyone wrong with a rave review! ahem. I shall commence to slouch off sheepishly. We came at 10:45pm on a Wednesday. Had devilled eggs and soup of the day - white bean and ham. Both were just okay - eggs were seriously bland for how they were described. Soup was pretty good with chunks of ham. All in all, a thought mediocre experience. Sorry for my prior presumption! I now believe what my all-wise fellow Yelpers were trying to tell me.

For a pub within a high-end hotel, Findley's offers the very best beer selection in the entire Gaylord. The food is also nothing to sneeze at. I had a couple of offerings, and I can't complain. They seemed to lack any form of a hostess, when I visited. This made things a bit confusing for seating, but it didn't impact the level of service, which was great. Make this your casual choice when staying at the Gaylord.

I would've only given one star but the waiter allowed my daughter to order potato soup even though it wasn't on the menu. He explained that the kitchen is shared with the place beside of it. I ordered an order of the cheese fries, I requested it to be without the gravy that the menu mentions. They were $9 and was brought out at least thirty minutes after my daughter's soup. They were burnt and were horribly greasy. I think that this place specializes in beer and if you're wanting a 5 star food experience, skip this place.

Nice surprise given the reviews. Note the Gunness pie is off the menu. I had the Ploughman's Platter which was a nice rich sampler of sausage and cheese. The high quality was a surprise in a corporate hotel resort If you are over the trendy stuff in the rest of this Gaylord Resort try Findleys.

Jet lagged, tired and hungry my co-workers and I ended up here after we checked at the hotel. As it one of the few things still open. The good: Excellent beer list, very good Guinness cake, good if slow service. The bad: The price. Hello captive audience pricing. I paid less than this for 2 trips to the local for better fish and chips and a pint when traveling in England. $33+ for greasy fish and chips and a pint is a bit much. The hours. We went back after getting back from downtown the last night we were there (my co-workers wanted the cake, I wanted a Guinness) but they closed at 10pm. We got there at 10:02. Who closes a pub at 10pm? Oh well, live and learn.

Went here with a few friends and ordered the duck sliders. They were overpriced (around $15) and very small. The flavor was pretty good but the meat and bread could have been of higher quality. The service was fine. I would not go back.

Excellent food. Much better than what you would excited from a hotel restaurant. Tiny tables. Awesome fish and chips. Great steak and guiness pie.

Really enjoyed my experience here. The waittress went to the restaurant across the way to get me fried pickles because I really wanted Southern food. Great service.

Findleys Irish pub is your typical Irish themed place to get a beer. I went to this location for lunch 2 times and both times they were closed. When I checked online they said they were open. The third day I finally got to eat here. In my opinion It's not bad food but it's not omg this is great food ether. When we sat down I asked the waiter what he would recommend he said the burger was good. My friend asked how the Guinness pie was. The waiter said "I wouldn't order the Guinness pie" he said he didn't like it. In my mind and experience when the waiter said that. I thought of 2 things. Ether the food isn't fresh and there re heating it from a few days ago or the waiter has seen something back in the kitchen that he knows is messed up. After all the waiter does go back in the kitchen and knows how the food is prepped and handled. I do appreciate the waiter being honest. But it did make me weary of eating here. Anyways the waiter said you can't go wrong with the burger so we ordered THE BUrGER the food was good. Not great. It hit the spot. The burger came with truffle fries which were the best part of the meal. They have other items like pork belly, fish and chips and a cured meat platter. Overall. This place wasn't the best it wasn't the worst. The waiter said stay away from the Guinness pie, so stay away from it!!. Make sure you call findleys before you show up to make sure they are open. PROS: - good spot for beer - honest waiter CONS: - said they were open 2 times but when i arrived they were closed. -waiter said do not get the Guinness pie

Great food I had corn beef and cabbage. The chocolate pecan cobbler was amazing! Fun friendly staff!

The Chicken and Dumplings was good, but the real star of the show was the brussel sprouts with bacon. It was a side dish (that came with the meal) that was incredible!

We went to Findley's Irish Pub for dinner. Our. Server was Ginger. Ginger was very pleasant but was more concerned having conversations with two of the four tables she had. There were men at the other tables and maybe she thought two women wouldn't tip as well, but she was wrong. It took 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The chef did accommodate us with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The Rueben sandwich didn't have any sauerkraut or cole slaw on the sandwich . The other meal was corn beef and cabbage. The meat was tender but average and there was hardly any cabbage with the meal.

Tried four times to go here and every time they were closed. Why have a lighted menu and advertised hours if your not going to be open. Three days in a row....

Had the Reuben, was quite tasty. Service was good. Tried the beet salad, that was tasty. Also had one of the duck sliders, it was good, but not as good as wild duck. Ploughmans plate was good too

Food is "good" but overpriced for what you get- but you are surrounded by a fishbowl economy here at the hotel. My wife liked her iceberg wedge salad but my blt sliders were super small, and the fries are just normal. I wouldn't eat here again, it was just meh and the server was attentive but not engaged with us.

If you're eating here, you're probably staying at the convention center and are therefore a captive audience. Remember that fact because they do. I was here for a convention and the center doesn't have enough capacity in their restaurants to handle convention crowds at dinner. Nor do they have the ability to take reservations. We had a party of 11, so granted it was a big group. We ended up splitting the group in two. When my part of the group finally got a table, our waiter was good and accommodating (more on this in a second). Our waiter then explained that they had just started opening for lunch that day but the management hadn't really told anyone that they were opening for lunch now. And the kitchen wasn't ready for it because a few items on the menu were sold out from lunch. We had two kids with us who wanted milk (none of the dinner places here at the Gaylord seem to be very kid friendly as far as kid menus or kid type drinks). Findley's does not have milk available. So, our waiter was nice enough to go to one of the other restaurants to get milk. How does a bar not have milk to mix into drinks? They have a drink menu, so they make mixed drinks... Back to the kids. There is no kid's menu. The waiter again offered to go across the hall to another restaurant to get something for the kids. On the whole, the food was okay. But every place here seems to have some problem with service or food. You're a captive audience, so it seems like they've learned they don't have to try to get your business. Where else are you going to go?

Big fan. Really the only down side is, like everything at Gaylord Opryland, it's ridiculously expensive. Burgers are awesome, really good. If you want a lighter snack, the BLT sliders are quite nice. The highland gaelic ale on draft is great. Several nights there were very good bands playing. Such a pleasant pub it became home away from home during a long stay. Good service, they seemed to really care that you got good food and service. Look forward to my next burger and ale there.

Sloooooow service. Almost room temp beer that was not very tasty. The beer was 8 dollars and it was a 16 oz. I thought the old Irish pubs were for working class Joes to come and have libations after a hard days work. I understand paying for it being in Gaylor Opryland but wow. At least have a better selections of beer and make sure they are cold.

In the Gaylord Resort. Pretty laid back. The reason for my review is because if you prefer a decent beer they have a good selection of craft beers. You can also order food if you like which I haven't yet.

I would not recommend this restaurant. Out of three meals only one was marginally good and that was an iceberg lettuce salad. The people at the table next to is were not happy with their meals either. The service was also extremely poor. We were there for two hours. On a positive note, the Brussel sprouts were fantastic and the beer selection was decent.

It's an ok little pub. I came here twice, once to meet with a coworker to enjoy a beer and another time to get some food to go. The interior atmosphere is nice, carrying that typical slightly dark, yet comforting hearty pub feel. it almost reminded me of some pubs I went to in New York, which I found very appealing. We sat at the bar the first time. The bartenders were extremely friendly and let me try a few samples of several different delicious beers. I ended up having one I can't recall though it was superb! 2nd time here, I picked up some food to take to my room. I got an appetizer of some deviled eggs which had a blend of some cheeses and spices and I cant recall the exact name for it. I also ordered a cup of heirloom tomato basil soup with bacon. The eggs were ok, different flavor with a kick though, nothing special. The tomato soup was very rich creamy and delicious, though a little too heavy for me to finish. Overall, fun, classic pub atmosphere, sincere, friendly service and from the few items I had, it appears they have decent food.

So, this place would've gotten much higher reviews had the hostess been better trained... I'll give her the benefit of the doubt & say she was new bc she was polite- but when a conference is in town, & all other restaurants are closed for "private parties"- you need to hustle to sit your open tables... I think they were understaffed too. But told 30 min wait, at least 4 open tables with dirty dishes, people waiting for tables... I asked if I bussed my own table, could we sit?? Hahaha-she did not find me amusing...after about 45 min, I happened to check back in with her- she had scratched us off the list (she took phone numbers) & said she tried to call & got no answer... Needless to say, after that, we were seated immediately... Once seated, our waitress was great! The food and beer was delicious! I wish it had come a little faster, but again, I think they were understaffed (not sure why nobody at convention center knows how to plan for large conventions, but it is a running theme with ALL restaurants in Gaylord property). If not for the highly shaky start, definitely would've gotten much higher rating- & there wasn't even any live music that night!!!!

Had the fish and chips and grilled veggies- fish and veggies were great, fries needed some crunch. Service was excellent once it got started. Thought this was just as good as the BBQ place across from it, but I'm not much of a beef eater and I don't eat pork. Menu is definitely Irish!

Surprisingly, after reading all the reviews, I loved it here. Great atmosphere, friendly service and both our entrees were prepared wonderfully with unique combinations. I was in Nashville shopping and stopped by the Opryland Hotel; since it was St. Patricks day we decided to take our chances and eat at the Irish pub in the hotel. It was an adventure finding the restaurant...all the way over on the side of the resort near the convention rooms. Once we found it, we were seated quickly and immediately greeted by our server. After perusing over the menu of strange listings, I ordered the burger cooked to medium; it was served on an english muffin, with Irish cheese and a fried egg and a freshly made tomato paste and replaced the fries with a side salad. It came out cooked exactly medium and was much larger and flavorful than I expected. My friend ordered the grilled cheese entree which is made with tillamook sharp cheddar and served on griddled sourdough bread with fries and a tomato cream soup. We were both happy with our choices and content at the end of the meal. Price was definitely above normal but it was expected at Opryland. Total for the two sandwiches totaled $29 before tip. I will go back and try other menu items next time I visit this hotel!

When the live music started to play, I was already a bit tipsy from all the drinks that I had. Forgotten that I was in an Irish pub but vaguely remembered that I was in Nashville - I thought the country music that they played sounded Irish. I tried to follow the music but neither my 2 steps nor my River dance moves were working. That was the point when I realized that the music was Irish and I got too much to drink - and I should not have danced like a madman in a restaurant. It was a good thing that I only have to stagger 15 minutes to my room in Opryland to collapse in bed. And yes, it was my room and my bed!

Been here twice. Guinness on tap. The fried fish was good. The fresh beef jerky was fabulous not to mention fresh fried potato chips. I will be back.

I am here for a conference. The place has a nice look to it. And, it smells good while I wait for my lunch. My waitress has been very friendly so far. The steak and Guinness pie was a lot of food. It was too salty and light on Guinness flavor. This was much better than the other place I went within the opryland hotel. I'd eat here again - the scotch eggs sounded good.

So I'm giving 2 stars because of the service. The food was great even at their prices. So after a long day of traveling we walked in and thought it would be a good place to start. We stood up front for about 3 minutes. Several employees walked by us without so much as a hello. They were at about 30% seating capacity. We finally just asked somebody if it was self seating. The server said "Well it seems to right now" so we grabbed a booth. We sat for 10 minutes without so much as a hello. My wife finally flagged somebody down. We ordered our drinks and scanned the menu. We both had a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a diet coke. The bill was about $42. I will say that the burgers were worth the price. The fries were great as well. We did however have to flag somebody both times for drink refills. There were clusters of servers standing around chit chatting so no excuse here. So overall...... Great food but terrible service.

The story you are about to read is true. This is Music City, Nashville, Tennessee. My name is Skacey, I carry a bitter chill from the January cold. 8:40 pm. Thursday. I'm in the Gaylord Opry setting up a tradeshow and looking for a proper Guinness. The Gaylord Hotel has a few in-house pubs and restaurants that I feel obligated to try. Findley's is the Irish pub and is situated directly across from the sport's bar. This is a night for American Football, the padded up grid iron combat which dominates most drinking establishments. Tonight is no different - If you are wanting to watch the game, come on in. If you are wanting to escape the sports bar, this isn't it. As I sit at the bar, the Irish band sits flaccidly plucking their instruments, pining for a chance to roust the crowd. No luck tonight boys, the Red Tide is on the plasma and the bar is packed with old men reflecting on a youth long since past. Ah, now for the Guinness. The pour is a good try, with a 3/4 glass and then a pause. The challenge is that the 'tender is pouring with one eye over his shoulder spotting the score. The final may be closer to what you would find in Football Season in Dublin (that's soccer for the western crowd) - the final product is passable, but not passionate. If you need to stay within the resort area, this is decent. If you've got your own vehicle, I'd suggest a more adventurous selection. guinness was Meh, tasted off. go here if you have to 6.95

We had dinner here due to a conference. Our server was fantastic! The fries were good, especially with the fish and chips. They had broccoli for the side vegetable the night we were there and it was fresh, cooked just right, and tasted wonderful (that is if you like broccoli). The music was pretty good too! So if you are ever at the Gaylord for a conference try Findley's Pub, food is A-OK!

i get the feeling that the average customer is a captive audience staying here for a convention. in other words, i am guessing that not too many locals venture out to try Findley's -- i know i would probably never come here if i lived here. i am pretty certain of that. starting off, it really has a cheap pub feel to it. i felt like i could easily be walking into something closer to McDonald's than to Applebee's . . . and that's a scale that is far less than impressive. well, since i was dinning alone i decided to take a spot at the bar -- near the Guinness. i should point out that the Guinness was absolutely fine and I would probably have no reservations about stopping in for another Guinness during my stay; just not the food. speaking of food . . . the menu is pretty simple. they have maybe 6 appetizers and 8 main dishes. once i saw the prices, i knew i'd be skipping the appetizers and just going with the main dish. the prime rib is $22 for the 8 ounce and $30 for the 12 ounce, fwiw. i decided to try the prime rib sandwich. my final bill was about $23 for a sandwich and 1 Guinness. for $23, I want ambiance and good food. my sandwich came with fries that were overcooked -- too brittle and very little potato left in them. there was a piece of green lettuce on my sandwich, which lacked the crunch and wilted with sogginess. i had my prime rib sandwich blackened and it was okay. if the sandwich had been $8 then i'd chalk it up to an experience that wasn't memorable; however, the sandwich was twice that price and there is no way to justify paying $16 for a meh sandwich. this is not the place to be if you're on a budget for dinner. maybe the lunch menu has better pricing???

came here for convention stay. This place is the best near the convention hall. There are healthy dinners on their menu. The staff are very friendly and I recommend this place if your on a budget.
