I was hesitant to go here, it's so small and just awkward, run down building. The "Drive-thru" needs help they have it so you could pull up to either side of the building but they don't have a great menu to look at so first time there you just don't know what your ordering. And no speakers a person comes out to your car to take your order while your in line, there is usually always a line if that tells you anything :) The downside is you wait awhile for your food, but it's worth the wait. But for real, GO HERE! Great greasy burgers that are bigger than you would expect! Delish seasoned fries (they call them spicy) and you MUST get a shake! Your life could depend on it... or you will think so after I swear they never melt I don't know if thats a good thing but for me it is because usually my shakes melt half way through :(

The burger was okay but found out owners changed twice and the recipe changed when they sold it. As a matter of fact they don't even carry or offer the Iranian Juice anymore. The owners took the Iranian Juice recipe with them. I would pass on this joint just to many burger spots with more flavorful burgers. Now don't get me wrong therr was nothing wrong with the burger and it had flavor but I was looking to taste that Iranian Juice do it just didn't hit my taste spot. I may be a bit demanding when it comes to American Cuisine there are so many burger joints you got to rise above average. So if you want a lot of beef get the 27 oz. Deluxe Cheese Burger.

Are you looking for the best fast food burger in Nashville? Want to hit up a good burger joint without leaving your car? Are you ready for this to be a lifestyle? Welcome to Fat Mo's. I rate them above five guys in the fast food category, and these people are so nice. In this cold weather, they'll walk out to your car to make sure you can take your order if you're not at the drive thru window yet (no talk box). I don't have much else to say. I like my vanilla milkshake with the burger and fries.

The chicken wings were absolutely delicious and the Little Mos burger was so juicy and delectable. Definitely worth a try.

Don't be fooled by the outside. This place has some of the best burgers I have ever tasted. I got the "Deluxe Burger" which has two parties of beef, onions, jalapeños, mushrooms, bacon, BBQ sauce, tomatoes, and lettuce. This was the biggest twin patty burger I have ever had and seasoned to perfection. The spicy fried were pretty good as well. Awesome place with super nice people. Set your GPS, because it is so small you might drive right past it as I did.

Went to the White Bridge Rd. location and got 2 fish sandwiches, onion rings, seasoned fries and one sprite. It cost over $18.00!! The fish sandwich was quite possibly the worst fish sandwich I've ever had. The fish was way overlooked. Seemed like it was cooked with plastic on it. Couldn't even bite through it. Really gross and a gross waste of money.

Fat Mo's is this little shack of a drive-thru burger stand. It also has a walk-up window for those who are walking or biking to save gas money. It's always busy too. BOTH drive-thru windows, and the walk-up window! But it's well worth it to wait in line. The regular sized burger is pretty large in itself. Peppery beef, good and sloppy. Choose your toppings, but I like to put everything on it just for the full Fat Mo effect. Ask for the spicy fries. They are delish! This is great "weekend food". You know, when you eat healthy all week, then just crave something bad for you? Yeah. This is it! Drive up (walk up, whatever) to Fat Mo's on a Saturday and you won't be disappointed!

Deep in the heart of Nashville, home of hot chicken, BBQ, fried chicken, southern cooking, and southern hospitality is a burger shop. Now, if this was just a burger shop, it would blend in, but Fat Mo's is anything but your average burger shop. This place is the ultimate American dream mom and pop burger shop. The burger destination is the home of the most well seasoned burger in America. The home of two Middle Eastern immigrants who brought their family, the culture, and lucky for us, their culinary delights with them. Each burger is seasoned with a plethora of 19...19!!!!! spices that make the smells coming from the bag a aromatic symphony of perfection. It is an experience in and of itself. Drive-thru only. Bags clear with grease and oil. Burgers stacked a mile high with dressings flying everywhere! It is a culinary extravaganza that entices every sense. The sight of the burger stacked high, the feeling of all the juices running wild with each bite, the smells of the spices and the hot french fries, the sound of the burgers cooking, and the taste.....do I even need to continue...a taste that cannot be replicated or duplicated. This place is both unique and a landmark to Nashville. In a town of all America foods from fried chicken to apple pie to BBQ...Fat Mo's puts a spin on the all-American meal...the burger and fries..and the most extraordinary spin it is!

I love fat mos! There burgers are delicious and the fries are fabulous. I suggest you just get the biggest most expensive burger there is and you can eat as much of it as possible before being on the toilet. Anyways fat mos has the best burgers period

A few years ago, someone was explaining that there's more to running a successful business than having good products. He asked if I could make a burger that was better than the ones the folks at the golden arches place serve and I said "heck yea". He then went into some mumbo jumbo about business that I didn't understand. Since I'm too lazy to start a business, at the time, I didn't think much more about it. Then, recently, I realized that someone might have asked the same thing of the Fat Mo's guys because they set up shop very near the golden arches in Melrose. I have been to a couple of other Fat Mo's locations, but this was my first time here. I got exactly what I expected, a great big and tasty burger and the fries were both hot and delicious. I will definitely be back soon. Glad they weren't afraid to compete with the giant burger chain. Nashville, give Fat Mo's a try, they aren't clowning around.

I heart Fat Mo's. This is the place that started it all for me. Went here first at the urging of a friend, and fell in love with their burgers. Frequented the Murfreesboro location so many times I can't see straight, but this is where it started. Makes my mouth water thinking about getting one of their seasoned burgers on my palate. Must go again soon!

Let me preface this review by stating that I am fairly adverse to hamburgers, except IN N Out which I hold near and dear to my heart. I had heard about Fat Mo's being awesome, so today during lunch I gave it a whirl. It was certainly better than most fast food, no question about that. But I wouldn't write home about it...

So I got some Fat Mo's a few mos ago. Like others have said, portions are generous and prices very reasonable. I went with the Fat Mo Burger (1/2 lb burger) with seasoned fries. The burger was nicely cooked, the fries were ok. The guy serving me was super nice and polite. Props for local businesses.

I had to go and try this place to see what my aunt was always fussing about. I don't know how I feel about the actual building and location, but they definitely know what they're doing in the kitchen. I've probably had at least 20 delicious milkshakes since my first visit in September. When I eat there I always get fresh, juicy burgers in minutes. The building and location, again, not the neatest, but its still a great place.

I tried this place because a friend said it was great. I have to admit that they were right. I had the double meat burger. It tasted nothing like the burger that we grew up with. It was a big gooey, cheesy, beefy, spicy(jalapenos) mess that had a flavor all its own. I really enjoyed it. Very unique "burger" experience. The spicy fries were good also. It is a huge portion. Bring an appetite and be prepared to get your car seats dirty, it's only a drive thru.

This place had some great burgers and at a good price. I love the spicy fries. We were visiting in town and wanted something different than your typical fast food. I'm glad we found this place.Onion rings are great too!!!

Fat Mo's is right next to my house, and I probably go there more than I should! This is what I love about Fat Mo's: 1. Burger is cooked to order 2. Burger is huge with all good toppings (jalepenos, sauteed onions and mushrooms, cheese, tomato, lettuce, mayo, BBQ sauce - you can mix and match as you wish) 3. SPICY fries (they aren't really spicy, just nicely seasoned) 4. Butterscotch Milkshake 5. Fried Catfish Sandwich I've been going here for a long time and it's one of my favorite burgers in the city. They crust the burgers in black pepper, which is something I love about this place and something that sets them apart from other burger joints around here. Give it a go - I think you'll enjoy it!

Tasty burgers. I miss this place.... I should eat there more. A nashville classic & they always have the #1 or #2 burger in town according to the Nashville Scene's Best of Yearly ranking. I get my burgers sans onions for better flavor--but maybe thats just me.

  • Judith D.

The best burgers in Nashville. They make them when you order them and they're worth every calorie. I also suggest the spicy fries (over the regular option).

Unlike the Fat Mo's over on the East Side, this one has a walk-up window in addition to two drive-throughs. Just like the East Nashville Fat Mo's, however, al of their burgers, sandwiches and fries are absolutely delicious, and you never have to wait more than a couple minutes for your order. This little location on Franklin is pretty easy to overlook, but if you can spot it, it's definitely worth the stop. Their burgers and roast beef sandwiches are just about the best you can get for the price, and the staff is always quick. The combos only cost between $5 and $8, but you still get huge portions. At first glance, it might seem a little unclean or shady, but they tend to do well on health inspections, and I have no complaints. Worth checking out.

Those that think this is the best burger in Nashville need to get their head examined. You could get the same burger at McDonald's or Burger King. The burger patties are without flavor and frozen. The buns are cheap store bought buns probably purchased at Costco. The fries are not spicy, they are simply heavily seasoned and certainly nothing spectacular. I cannot believe I dragged myself all the way to this location after reading these glowing reviews. What a waste! Plus they got my order wrong (twice!). What a waste!

We found this little gem with the help of my fellow Yelpers, and they did not steer us wrong. The burgers aren't anything fancy... just overly delicious and tasty! I must admit that I am a Texas girl, and I had never been here and almost didn't because the area looked a little seedy, but it was worth the stop. While we were sitting at the picnic tables eating, this woman who was OBVIOUSLY strung out on some kind of drug came up and asked for tampons... then money. I offered to buy her a hamburger, but she said she didn't put greasy food into her body.... IRONIC as she definitely put chemicals into it!!

One of the places I missed when I moved out of state. Glad to be back and have been here 3x already. Just like I remember only fewer locations. Nice folks waiting to give you what you ask for. Jalapenos, bacon and sauce? Yes please! Made to order so the fries are always hot. I'm getting hungry...

There are signs on the side of Fat Mo's Burgers boasting "Voted Best Burgers in Nashville" and these signs aren't lying. Fat Mo's offers some of the best drive thru window burgers I have ever had! The outside of the location looks a little sketch but the food they make inside is anything but sketch. They offer massive burgers at an affordable price. They cook all their burgers fresh and to order so you may have to wait a bit but its worth the wait. They have handmade milkshakes as well. I recommend a Fat Mo Burger with Spicy Fries!

Fat Mo's has been a Nashville local favorite for a long, long time. The burgers aren't super fancy, just your regular toppings. But they are super tasty, which is all that really matters. The ingredients are quality ingredients. The thing that sets fat mo's apart from other burger places is the mustard taste you get with the burger. It's not overpowering at all just give the burger a tangy/vinegar taste that is delicious. Their shakes are also really good. You can tell they use real ice cream and milk to make their shakes. The spicy fries are delicious..very crispy and contrary to the name not spicy at all...this post is making me pretty hungry, probably will end up at Fat Mo's.

After driving by Fat Mo's a few times, I had to try it--just to see what it was all about. You get here, what you see: a large burger. Cheap for what you get--it's not the greatest, but it's tasty.

While checking on line for a place to have a great burger and fries, we saw so many good reviews for Fat Mo's. We couldn't resist, thought we would go sit down, relax and have a bite to eat. When we arrived we saw one table outside, a walk up window and a drive thru. Had a good laugh on that one. We sat at their outdoor table, ate our food and watched the traffic go by. Evening just got better, went to see the UCONN ladies win the Final Four championship with a full belly. Apparently Fat Mo's have lots of locations around the city, but don't know if the set up is the same.

Order the 1lb burger combo. What the heck was that? The burger had too much seasoning and it was extremely dry. Experiencing other burger places, I understand the freshness promise of "we don't make it til you order it." This sign is false advertisement at Fat Mo's. The fact that the seasoning did not blend into the burger and the dryness implies that the meat patties were frozen, precooked and then heated up when they are ordered at the window. The seasoned fries had too much seasoning that deteriorated the quality of it. As another reviewer mentioned, you could probably go to the McDonald's next door and get better food for less $$. Will not be returning to this location.

Catfish sandwich is great, as are the seasoned fries. This time around i tried the veggie burger. It is huge, i didnt love it though. They make it homemade and that is what i like about it.

I did not have high expectations. This place is a tiny, brightly colored shack on eight avenue next to a car wash. People routinely walk through the drive through. I did not have high expectations. Boy, was I surprised. Had one of the most delicious veggie burgers EVER here-it's a falafel burger and oh-so-tasty. Their seasoned fries are magnificent and their milkshakes really do bring all the boys to the yard. Try the butter pecan. Look past the shack and give this place a visit!

Cheap, large, delicious. If you're in the mood for a burger and don't care how bad it is for you, go to Fat Mo's

Oh, I can't tell you what a diamond this joint is! ***THANK YOU YELP IPHONE APP*** (how i found it while driving back to MI from NOLA) I had the works: a loaded burger, a milkshake, & heaps of delicious fries. GO BIG OR GO HOME - actually you have no choice, they force delicious glutton on you. It's the type of establishment that would be extremely dangerous to my figure if I lived a few hundred miles closer. Fat Mo's completely made all other burgers (fast-food & dine-in types) look so inadequate and measly. I'll never be the same! Do yourself a favor and find an excuse to road trip past this place, eat your food on their picnic tables outside, and after you've rolled yourself back into your car you can message me and thank me.

What can I say about Fat Mo's that you don't already know? This place is delicious. Amazing fries (get the spicy ones), delicious huge burgers, homemade veggie burgers (very falafel heavy and so good), gyros... they have it all! You usually have to wait a little bit, cause it's set up like a tasty freeze (for all you Southerns that know what that is) but the wait is so worth it. You can either drive through or walk up to the counter. Forget the mega chains, go with Mo's! You won't regret it.

  • Debby R.

Stop comparing this to other burger joints and let it stand on its own! Food was fresh, fast, hot and delicious. The burger was fresh, juicy, the fries were hot and salted perfectly. Plenty of fresh, free toppings to choose from. The only reason for four stars is there is absolutely no ambiance at all.

    (4)
  • Bob G.

Kicking this up to 5 stars on a recent re-visit. 1/2 lb of beef, cheese, a solid load of toppings, cooked when you order it (and worth the wait), served juicy and hot. As good as burgers get at fast-food prices, and the standard by which I judge others. I am not a fan of the fries here. But with a burger that's "all that and a bag of chips" who needs 'em?

    (5)
  • Molly K.

Let me start by saying I have totally boycotted Burger King, McDonald's and the list goes on and on for over 3 years so when I go out for a burger I definitely want to enjoy my meal. Not sure about the other reviews but I was not impressed...I have had superb burgers--not yet in Nashville and this was nothing special. There was nothing special at all. I had a regular hamburger with cheese and fries (asked for regular but got spicy). I can't believe I spent 10 of my hard earned dollars on this less than mediocre burger. Also make no doubt there is no seating--taking it to go is the only option--that's so that when you get home you aren't as tempted to take it back. Not mean but just being honest and think that as consumers we should demand better from these restaurants. Gotta question a place that sells burgers, philly steak, fish and chicken--truly focus on one thing and get it right. Will not be going back.

Solid burgers, a Nashville only fare. Horrible for your physique but good for your morale. Get the seasoned fries. I used to come here during lunch when I went to High School and everyone wished they had a Fat Mo's burger too. You'll be disappointed if you think you're getting anything fancy though. Just straightforward burgers and no nonsense. You want something fancy go to Teds or Mimi's cafe.

  • Erin D.

Everyone where I used to work loved this place. They thought it was the best burger joint in town. I like it, but I'm not sure it's the best. I love their fries though. The burgers are pretty decent and they usually get the orders right which is nice. The place does look a little shady though as it sits in a little hut in a parking lot. It's always packed at lunch and the line usually extends to the street. Be sure to read the signs though and don't go in the out.

A local Nashville Burger stop, Fat Mo's as everyone has stated is known for their burgers! Ginormous, delicious, and super greasy their burger do in fact live up to the hype, their fries however, where just alright. The actual place isn't particularly impressive, but with such well-made, well-seasoned, enormous burger they really don't need to be. Though people have said that Fat Mo's is cheap, I beg to differ; that for a fast food dinner type of place I found it to be a little pricey. I walked out with a burger, fries and a drink and paid nearly $10, which I wasn't pumped about.

you gotta try the little mo (everything on it) with spicy fries and a chocolate shake

Best burgers in Nashville. Prepared very fresh with a nice pepper seasoning. Drive thru only with picnic tables in back. No atmosphere, good prices.

I like to walk up, order a cheeseburger and spicy fries, and go sit on the concrete wall by the gas station. One time I wanted a hot dog, and I didn't even see if it was on the menu, I just ordered a hot dog. It was awesome. They split the hot dog open (I guess to cook it on the grill) and then put it in a bun, and put the relish inside the split and sine-waved the mustard on like a gourmet chef. They don't have waiters, but they might walk out to your car if you're sitting in line at the drive thru.

Fat Mo's Super Deluxe Burger was gi-normous and quite possibly the tastiest burger I've ever had! The kids didn't care for the chicken tenders and corndogs, but who goes to a place called Fat Mo's BURGERS for corndogs?!? If you're looking for a dine-out, drive-thru only experience with the best burgers around, give Fat Mo's a try!
