Rolled in on a Saturday at noon for a Bloody Mary. The bartender says what do you guys want? My three friends order a Bloody Mary. Since I'm not a big Bloody Mary fan I had mentioned I was gonna try my wife's first then decide. Bartender says decide now because they take a long time to make. Wow, so warm and inviting. He brought them out and never came back. When we were finished no one behind the bar even asked if we wanted anything else. I flagged down another bartender and asked for our tab. There were three guys behind the bar. When we left there was no joke 4 other women at the bar. That's it. Just typical Broadway customer service skills at work here. Treat people poorly because who cares, they assume we're all just "annoying" tourists that won't be back. We come to Nashville often and certainly won't go back.

Really fun bar with an upstairs lounge/dancing area. It was busy when I was I there, but that was during the CMA Country Fest weekend. A small, but pretty decent selection of taps. If you're from out of town and want to try something local, go with the Yazoo Dos Perros. $5 a pop, but good! Only downfall for me here is that smoking is permitted. Cough, cough :(

Doc Holliday's was a fun stop on our Nashville bar hop. When some of the other nearby places were charging a cover Docs did not. I really appreciate that, especially when I am trying to hit as many bars as possible. So the downstairs is fairly small but they also have a cool staircase leading to another area upstairs (as well as the restrooms). The crowd here was fun and seemed to be having a good time. The service behind the bar was great, they told us about the large variety of beers they had on tap. My husband and I each had a really good local beer at the recommendation of the bartender.

I haven't always checked in here but I have been here quite often. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very accommodating. We always enjoy ourselves and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing afternoon.

A cool little spot with a spiral staircase. The beer came quick and went down even quicker. When I was there it was not too crowded, but being the place is small, I thought that it might get really packed if just a few more people showed up. The bartender from Miami was a really cool guy.

In walking up the strip, we almost passed this up because it was surrounded by large chainy-type places, but fortunately it caught our eye enough to pop in for a drink. This reminded me of my favorite neighborhood bar, not so much in decor (which is awesome, reading the dollar bills made for some good conversation) but in the atmosphere of laid back comfort. All of the bartenders were friendly and we had some great conversations with people at the bar. We came here both nights we were in town, and if I were to go back to Nashville, this is somewhere I would be sure to hit up again!

We hopped into this place based on their billboard that advertised the best Bloody Mary in Nashville. Obviously, I had to test them on their bold assertion. They did have a damn good Bloody, which came with celery, olives, tomatoes, and a nice crispy slice of bacon. Yeah, I was down. We only had one drink here, and it was early on a Friday afternoon, so it was empty, but this seems like it would be a really fun place on a late night. The bartender was quick with the drinks, and the prices were decent - for two Bloodies and two beers, the tab was like $20! I expected to spend more than that, just on the Bloodies! Oh, the jukebox gets loud, but the tender adjusted it as songs came on. Don't expect to have a nice, quiet conversation here.

Doc Holliday's is by far my favorite bar downtown. Great bartenders, friendly , local craft brews and plenty of whiskey. Thursday nights Rick Trace rocks out acoustic and sounds amazing. You will feel right at home.

Where can you go in this town and get a properly temperate Guinness that doesn't taste like a nitrogen dump for under $4.50? Few places, this is one of them. I wandered in here on Saturday, wasting some time before I had to dress up in a giant Crawfish suit for a charity event. The bar felt a wee bit crowded even though nobody was there, but the place had that sort of vibe where you just can tell even when it's busy it's something else. There are dollar bills with profanity and pithy sayings and a lot of "I was here" written on them and plastered on every flat and sometimes not so flat surface. The place, even deserted, has markings everywhere of people who like it. It has a giant spiral staircase that leads upstairs to some seating, didn't check it out though. I'm going back to this place next time I'm downtown for a beer or need an escape from the tourista guarde walking up and down 2nd.

Doc's is a well-hidden jem for locals downtown. With the staircase that makes the most seasoned tourist stop and take a picture; Doc's is located very close to Charlie Daniel's museum. The staff (bartenders and security) are very friendly and hardworking. The drink prices are reasonable for downtown and stiff. The bar is fairly small but has a loft upstairs and smaller rooms just off the main bar. Yes, this is a smoking bar. Look for the shelves of Jack Daniels. The do serve a fair pizza as their bar food. I heard though that may change. Overall, I enjoy coming here weekly to hang with friends or to watch some Sunday football knowing only a few folks will be there with me. Not for the tourist in you, but rather the local spot for industry folks.

A good ole B-A-R in a sea of theme park bars on 2nd in Nashville. A good stop for locals and cynical tourists alike - a good rail, a well poured Jack Daniels and good music on the j-box. I'll be back a few more times this weekend.

Great bar. Make it a point to go when i hit the town. Don't forget to check in on four square to get your free beer.

We received terrible service upon entering and we were truly excited to enjoy this bar and its namesake. The "bouncer" was insulting and prohibited our enjoyment of the bar.
