These hot dog places seem to be popping up all over lately, but this is the first one I've tried. I wasn't quite sure what all the hype was about... A hot dog is a hot dog, right? Incorrect, sir. It's really not even about the hot dog itself, though they are great , it's about the loads of toppings and giant buttery buns, mmmmmmmmmm. I had the Pennsylvania "Mop Dog" which was topped with onions, pickle spears and mustard, and a side of fries. I wanted to stay on the tame side for my first experience, but there are many more adventurous options if that's what you're looking for. I was barely able to finish the whole thing and am ashamed to say that some fries went in the trash. My boyfriend made the rookie mistake of ordering 2 different hot dogs for lunch... one of them ended up in a box to take home. These things are HUGE once they're piled with toppings. Unless you're some sort of competitive eater, start with 1, especially if you're getting fries. If you do somehow have room for dessert, they were selling Christie Cookies at the register! Price-wise, it's a really affordable lunch spot! Only $3.75 per giant dog. Apparently if you eat every single hot dog on the menu you get your picture on the wall, but I'm not seeing that in my future. My waistline and heartburn won't allow it.

Tons of options. Solid veggie dog selections (Tofurkey brat, italian sausage, regular veggie dog). My only nitpick is their Seattle dog. Having lived in Seattle, I can tell you it's cream cheese and grilled onions, not cream cheese and fresh onions. They have grilled onions on the menu so I always get them so sub in grilled for fresh, but they should just change that. The bread is delicious buttered bread that will send you to the ER.

What a disappointment. I'll preface my review with this, I'm a Chicagoan and therefore a dog snob when it comes to Chicago dogs. My girlfriend and I went there for a quick meal. Staff was very friendly. However the exclusion of the traditional hot dog bun altogether is super disappointing. The Texas toast or whatever you wanna call it had more of a French toast type flavor and feel. It's something that probably works well with a number of their meals but the Cincy and Chi dogs it was not very appetizing. The Chili was mediocre but flavor was reminiscent of skyline chili. We had fries as a side; clearly frozen and fried in a stale oil which left them soggy along with a bitter burnt taste. Sorry but probably will not go back.

Best dogs in Nashville. Try the classic New Hampshire dog.

Great place! The food is fabulous and this has become a regular stopping place for us. Love, love, love it. Needs delivery. :)

Call me a happy eater, but driving 5 miles to the west end location beats driving 20ish miles to the Mt. Juliet location. I've been a fan of Cori's for a while, I've made the trip to the MJ location a few times for their eclectic combos and those BUNSSSSS. I love that the new space feels so open. Unlike a few other hot dog joints around town where you feel utterly packed in around other customers. They also have beer, and good beer at that. Pints of Yazoo can be had for around $3ish dollars? Now back to the buns, Cori's uses a New England style center cut hot dog bun that's custom made by the fine folks over at Provence. The buns really lend well to holding all the crazy toppings. My current favorite is the Georgia dog with pimento and coleslaw. Some people say that there's too much bun to dog/toppings, but I'm ok with a bit of extra buttery grilled bun action. I do have one minor quibble about the dogs, I really do wish they would use natural casing dogs for that snap factor. Otherwise, you're in for a great hot dog experience at a very reasonable price. Welcome to Nashville.

I love the quality of the dogs, the toasted buns, the great and friendly service, and the location. The only thing to drop a star is the quality of the chili, which needs work. Overall a great experience, and the menu is so large that everyone will find something appealing.

Best hotdogs in Nashville! I've had the turkey dogs and beef and both are delicious! Great staff and great service. I tell everyone that's visiting to come to Cori's! It's my comfort place.

Cori's Dog House is overwhelming. 37 different, types of hotdogs you can choose from, not to mention the specialty sandwich or type of meat you'd like (i.e. Brat, sausage, regular dog). I got the Pennsylvania Mop Dog (Mustard, Onion, Pickle Spear) and the West Virginia Dog (cole slaw onions mustard) with homemade onion rings. No Coke products here. Just RC Cola! Coke and Hot dogs go together like bread and butter. Where's the Coke!? The portions are HUGE! I could have easily just eaten 1 dog. They come out on this massive size of like texas toast that is covered in butter. I missed that on menu. The coleslaw is not traditional southern sweet slaw. I also tried the chili dog. Plain, chili from a can chili was not flavorful. I loved the onion rings. French fries were soggy. Dogs are $3.75 each and onion rings were $1.75. All and all even with ALL the toppings, it tasted like cafeteria food. The dogs didn't snap, the toppings were just weird or bland tasting. (excluding the onion rings) Staff was nice. They sell busch beer and old style in cans. I just had put that fact in this review! I suggest looking at their menu before going and don't go way out of your way to get here. It's just alright.

Man, these are some delicious hot dogs. So many choices. I may not like all the combinations but I really dig what they're doing here and looking forward to filling up my punch card as I keep exploring the different combinations from all across the US.

Sometimes you just have one of those days at work when you just need a break and some greasy delicious food. Luckily for me and my co-workers, Cori's is right down the street. I have had a few of their hot dogs and have never been disappointed. But my true love at Cori's is their Chicken "Philly". As a native Philadelphian, I had to take away my bias and my expectation that things called "Phillies" here are nothing like what I expect a cheesesteak or chicken cheesesteak to taste like. Once I get rid of my expectations, I appreciate Cori' chicken philly for exactly what it is, a tasty sandwich. The sandwich has grilled chicken, cheese, peppers and onions on a buttery toasted bun. It is definitely not everyday food but every once in a while when work just becomes too much Cori's is a must. I also thoroughly enjoy their french fries and would go here solely for the fires, even if I hadn't fallen in love with the Chicken "Philly". Today my co-workers branched out and got the fried cinnamon rolls with ice cream. Man those things looked good. They could not stop raving about them. I basically had to run us out of the restaurant to not give into the temptation of getting them myself. Cori's does their own thing and they do it very well.

One of the best hot dog joints in Nashville. With all the different types of dogs they have, the combinations and options are endless. They don't use a regular bun but Texas toast instead. What I also liked about this place is that they have vegan and vegetarian options. After going on a date and becoming friends with a vegan she had a little trouble finding good options for herself so she ended up at Wild Cow a lot when eating out. I took her here and a few other places to so her options weren't limited just to Wild Cow. There's plenty of other restaurants in Nashville that can cater to vegans but the food would not be a specialty like this place. Most places won't have a vegan option on their regular menu but this place does. She fell in love with the place. I always believe: no matter a person's diet or food preference, everyone should be allowed to enjoy great food. One of the workers told me they used vegan butter and another worker said it was vegetable oil. Either way vegan. They have a vegan kielbasa which is amazing. The staff is helpful and friendly. It has a almost a sports bar atmosphere but family friendly. Alcohol is served but only limited to beer. The food is amazing and I may try to do the 50 state challenge they have.

The hot dog was incredibly tasty. I mean, c'mon? Buttery texas toast bun? Where has that been all my life? The chili was not my favorite. I doctored it up at home with some Fritos and a ton of hot sauce and it was just fine. But what I really came here to talk about are the fried...cinnamon...rolls. So good, they deserve their own paragraph. Apparently they used to sell fried Twinkies. I'm not a Twinkie fan, but I cannot resist a cinnamon roll. I got ordered it out of curiosity, thinking I would probably eat a couple of bites, feel horrible about it and chuck the rest. Let's just say that didn't happen. The dessert, in its entirety, was absurd good. It was basically two huge deep fried dough pucks coated in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with cream cheese icing. The sweet taste of bad decisions.

i had high expectations for this place based off yelp. when i found out that they have house made fries i got turned on. however whats weird was that the fries were just ok. i can't pointpoint was it was. maybe it needed to be crispier?? im not sure but i was really baffled by this the entire time. the bun is NOT your traditional hot dog bun. this is the type id expect the four seasons to use if they ever served hot dogs at their hotels. you can tell a lot of thought when into this bun. its more like a short thick slice of bread sliced in half. its really good bread but for me in terms of bread to hot dog ration - way too much bread. graet service and tons of eating space id go back. also the hot dog i got with cole slaw was superb. i wouldn't change the cole slaw at all. JEANS: OK by far ORDER: at counter

Great change of pace! Cori's has great food, handmade onion rings, fresh cut fries, probably 40+ different dogs to choose from on New England style buns. They have other sandwhiches including local chicken salad if hot dogs aren't your thing. Fast, Clean, Nicely priced. The only negative about this place is the cashier. She's pretty rude and condescending if you ask questions.

As I sit here writing this review, I'm struggling with the food baby I'm carrying thanks to the very delicious dog from Cori's DogHouse. Walked in around 5:30 on a Monday and the place was pretty much empty, which I now find a bit surprising. I got the Jersey Breakfast Dog (All beef) with a side of fried mushrooms and it was ready as soon as I filled my fountain drink. Taking it To-Go was a challenge as my car was instantly filled with the mouthwatering aroma of said meal. Within 5min of getting home, that dog was devoured. With the texas toast and gooey shredded cheese plus the fried egg... I couldn't bring myself to take my time. Then I opened the fried mushrooms- turned out they are hand breaded in magical deliciousness. I wasn't a huge fan of the accompanying sauce, but they were good enough alone that it didn't matter. Honestly, for the insanely good price of their dogs and sides, I can't understand how this place wasn't packed. I know I will be back, probably this week, & probably to try a corndog and those now infamous fried pickles.

After reading some of the reviews (and after loving the other location), I was expecting to not like this Cori's as much. Actually, I liked it better. The eating area is much more spread out (and the windows are a nice touch on a gorgeous day like the day we went). I liked my food better this time (my husband wasn't happy with his fried pickles because he felt they weren't cooked as long as they should have been, but I told him he could leave a less than five star if he wished lol). My onion rings were perfect, and I liked the fact they didn't have coke products. Where else are you going to find Hawaiian Punch on tap? It was spotlessly clean (even the bathrooms) and the workers were friendly. Plus, now my husband has 34 more dogs to go for the challenge.

Hot Dogs are bad for you, right? That is what's kept me from trying a hot dog place for lunch...until this week. Cori's DogHouse might be bad for me, but dayum, it's so good! I had the Connecticut...mustard, sauerkraut and bacon. Geez Louise! So good! And the bun is this DELICIOUS toasted bread! On top of it all, the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Can't eat like this all the time, but it sure was a great treat!

Some places are straight out good but non-creative. Not this place! Here you get a menu of hot dog locations/cities with each "location" hot dog topped out differently. What you want to eventually do is try ALL locations and get your name and pic put up on the wall. Oh, for vegetarians, yes, they have a veggie dog that is great. All their buns are large and deep enough to hold the delicious topping for each locale. In general, a FUN hot dog place to chow down at. I almost forgot- try their fried pickles if you want something different than the huge basket of fries or deep fried twinkies or... boy am I getting full. :-)

Hot dogs are an interesting trend here in Music City. I'm not really sure why there are so many hot dog shops, but no Chinese sit-down places that aren't buffets. Who knows. I guess we love America here. I've tried most of them (still haven't hit up Hot Diggity Dog...don't judge), but Cori's hits the spot. They make them the way I grew up, like the ones from the neighborhood stand with only outdoor seating on the boardwalk or next to a ball field: New England roll toasted with butter on the flat-top, big thick dog split down the middle to maximize grilling, and all the toppings you could want. None of that steamed and sitting in a vat of water street-meat style crap here. The bun is a little bigger and thicker than a standard split-top roll, but it's fresh and holds up under the weight of the proper toppings. It would make a GREAT base for a lobster roll...mmm lobster roll... The menu is borderline overwhelming, with each item representing a region or a state. It's weighted heavily on the east coast, but we take our hot dogs seriously there. They do have a Chicago dog, and one that's like a Detroit coney...but I would imagine those wouldn't be quite right with the style of the place. If you want those go to The Dog or Hot Diggity's. I had a CT dog and a side of onion rings, and both were everything I wanted them to be, except I should have gone for the half-and-half, as they were hand cutting fries in front of me and only good can come of that. I wished I came for dinner so I could complete my meal with a frosty Sam draft! But can't beat lunch that sticks with you all day for less than $7.

In the burgeoning world of yuppie hot dog establishments, I have found a weiner. Puns aside, Cori's offers enough variety, quality and intrigue to appeal to casual diners and dog divas alike. My first trip to Cori's, a lunch date with my girlfriend, featured two gourmet choices and one amateur mistake -- ordering two dogs. Folks, these things are big. Packed in toasted sandwich buns and loaded with toppings, they're almost big enough to split. Needless to say, there's a box in my fridge right now. The dogs are categorized geographically, which appeals to a travel enthusiast like me. I had the Cincinnati dog (a coney comparable to Cincy's famous Skyline delicacy) and a Los Angeles, which featured jalepenos, grilled onions and bacon. The quality of the bread and toppings made a good dog great. Oh, and if you feel like staying in the West End Hospital District for longer than just lunch, order the deep-fried twinkie. It'll be sure to give you heart palpitations -- positive ones during, negative ones afterward.

Let's not be snobs. If a place is clean, the service is good, and the food is tasty, then that restaurant should at least get a 3 star review. Having read some of the other reviews on this place, they sound a bit over-critical. I mean they are just selling hot dogs... what are you really expecting? The place is new and very clean; the service very friendly and helpful; and the hot dogs and onion rings are way better than most. Here's the other factor to consider: you're not gonna be able to make these hot dogs at home. I guess you could, but why put in all that effort when the prices are so reasonable? I still hold the opinion that Hot Diggity Dog has the best Chicago dog in town. However, Cori's has 37 other type of dogs to try. It's a fun environment. You can dare your friends to get the deep-fried twinke, or just enjoy a wood chuck beer. It's great place to go with friends b/c it's big, so it's not gonna be over crowded. And if you wanna be a hero, you can treat out 4ppl for under $20. ... we could all use a hero

Amazing. Easily the best hot dog I've had in Nashville. The quality of the ingredients is amazing. The handmade freshness of everything is to die for!! Healthy portions for the price. Two dogs, two sides, two drinks - $22 bucks. Nice deal for the amount of food we got! Absolutely blown away by flavor. High quality beef, handmade sauces, chilis, everything! 10/10 would reccomend a million times again.

I'm a regular at this place. My wife and I go almost every Sunday after church. We love the variety of toppings and dogs that they offer- seriously there's something for everyone. I took the challenge of trying one of every dog on the menu (38 different dogs). It was to try them all, but I quickly found out that the chili here is kinda... well, not that good. I liked most everything else though. Probably one of the most popular dogs is the Jersey Breakfast Dog- an all beef dog topped with a fried egg, cheese, and bacon. Super good! Whatever style you get, you can have any of a variety of hot dogs too. They have the standard all beef dog, turkey dogs, vegan polish dogs, and more. I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I stick with the all beef. This place also has my favorite fried pickles! You gotta try 'em! On top of great food, the people who work here are nice. Kayla is always friendly at the register and greets my wife and I by name. The guys at the grill also say hi when we come in. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the chili is rough and I love chili dogs. Otherwise this place rocks.

SO. GOOD. Great variety in toppings, reasonably priced. Their coleslaw is a bit unique, and amazing. Service is always great, not to mention quick. Get the onion rings, you will not regret it(unless you're allergic to onions. then you should probably skip 'em). Sad that they cut the happy hour special down to M-F only, as I'm usually only in the area on Sundays, but no big.

I am a sucker for a local hot dog place and this one was right by my hotel, so I couldn't not stop. The options abound for regionally themed dogs, plus they branch out into other sandwich options. I stuck with my usual bacon and cheddar, plus fries. The split top roll was slightly deeper than the traditional roll that I'm used to from lobster rolls, etc. in New England - it felt more like a Texas Toast version of the New England roll, which was fine, but it was a lot of bread. The hot dogs were super jumbo -- maybe a little too much of everything for my taste. Also, the cheese didn't melt into the hot dog, which made me sad. The fries were a touch undercooked, so the middles of some still tastes a touch raw -- another couple minutes nj the dryer would've been great. Finally, I would recommend throwing some napkins into the to go bag, or moving the condiments and paper goods over to where they call up to go orders, as I managed to leave without thinking about napkins and luckily had some stashed in my bag. Would've been a messy ride to the airport eating in the car without the emergency supplies. Even so, I enjoyed the dog -- the price was reasonable, and I'm guessing the fries were just an unlucky batch.

What a cool place. Tons of different hot dogs to choose from, from all over the country. They have onion rings and fries as well. I'm not the biggest hot dog fan but this place is worth a shot. The hot dogs are about $4 and perfect for a cheap lunch. Glad I came here.

Very cool place! Big, fast service, juicy beef dog, amazing texas toast-esque "bun" and whatever toppings you want in a gazillion combos! Looks like a local fav for lunch to me. Onion rings were good but not the best I've ever had. Fountain mountain dew makes me happy! Tip: get some pump cheese/ooeey gooey kind!

Okay, they have so many great hot dogs here, but what you don't know is that they also have the best chicken or beef Philly cheese steaks in town! Make sure you add some mushrooms and jalapenos (no additional charge) in addition to the peppers and onions. Great buns and they really do fill it all up! Prices are cheap and service is fast.

I talk about expectations a lot when I talk about restaurants. So, don't go to Cori's expecting white table cloth service and fine wine. But if great hot dogs, french fries, some beer and some TV's is what you are expecting - then you won't be disappointed. So, for a hot dog place - I haven't had better. But, yeah...Wow! Cori's - I really can't say enough good things about your delicious dogs! I actually found out about Cori's due to Yelp! I am part of a 'Dinner Club' and we go someplace different every week. Sometimes we do something new, sometimes it's some place we love. A couple weeks ago we were trying to think of someplace new to go and there weren't really any 'good' suggestions. I looked on Yelp and found Cori's and put in the suggestion to come here. Everyone agreed that it might be a good choice. I mean, who doesn't love a good hot dog?! We were all BLOWN AWAY by the selection of different styles of dogs and sausages along with the prices of those dogs. Seriously - for less than 10 bucks you get a nice sized hot dog on the best bun I've ever had with a ton of toppings, a basket of fries and a drink. BTW - if you have a friend with you - you would be best to split a basket of fries instead of you each getting one. I can't imagine that any one person could eat a whole basket of fries themselves. However, if you can eat a whole 'regular' size fry at Five Guys - maybe you can. Oh, speaking of sizes - you might want to order 1 hot dog and go back later for another one if you feel you might need one. Because 1 hot dog was all I needed! I also tried some of the onion rings - and, I'm not an 'onion ring' type person. Mostly because a lot of places you go it seems that they are never quite done. The outside will be crispy and the inside will still be kinda wet and chewy and pull out when you bit into the ring - leaving the batter in tact. This wasn't like that at all....I really enjoyed their onion rings. I also sampled the fried pickles which were good as well (BTW - I didn't order these all myself - we all got something different to sample the different sides). I don't like Mushrooms - but, a friend ordered them and said they were really good as well. Also, we tried the fried Twinkies...it was OK. It was crispy on the outside and soft and creamy inside - but, it didn't taste like much honestly. The sauce drizzled on the Twinkies was good - but, honestly, wasn't as good as it sounded. Cori's was good, so good in fact, a few of us went back the next night because we couldn't stop thinking about the great hot dogs and the delicious buns. Seriously - you have never had a bun like this on a hot dog! It looks like one of those 'Lobster Roll' buns. It's butter toasted on the outside which just helps make the hot dog that much more delicious. If you like hot dogs, homemade fries and onion rings and other 'bad for you' type food - then you'll love Cori's. It's probably horrible for you - but damn is it ever tasty!

I was in a hot dog mood last night in the worst way, and Cori's is close, so I convinced the wifey to go there with me. It was even better this time around. I got the classic Chicago Dog and the New Jersey Italian (peppers, onions, breakfast potatoes, deli mustard). Both were absolutely delicious, although the Chicago dog is my new favorite. Fresh banana and jalapeno peppers added texture and pop. The wife got a brat with a fried egg and cheese on top and loved it. Also, the french fries were unreal. Fresh, fried perfectly, seasoned well. Outstanding. Not exactly low cal, but really hits the spot when you are craving it.

I had two dogs, nyc # 2 and coney island. Both did not meet expectations. having many dogs in nyc and philly these were no match. The kraut was not fresh and had been recyled too many times and the onion sauce no where near the street vendors of NYC or Philly. The coney by the time i got to it had a bun or should i say a wierd shaped piece of texas toast, that absorbed all the liquid and was now soggy and not very good. The meat sauce also did not make it for me. I hope they dont use that as there chilli dogs on the texas dogs. Both dogs, too much mustard. As for the roll/bread. there some dogs in life you dont mess with. When you have a chicago dog and you need poppy seed, grilled bread is not going to make it. It just like when you have a philly cheese steak, the bread is only one way. dont mess with it. Sorry.

Great selection of hot dogs from different parts of the country, at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly, and the restaurant has a comfortable, casual atmosphere with sports playing on the big screen. A great place to go grab something with the guys, or to go have a fun meal with the family.

Unique spin on hot dogs (creations inspired from around the world and the great USA), with a NE style buttered bun (think Texas toast, not your typical hot dog bun). Some classics like the Chicago Dog, which I had, were a-ok! Be prepared for a unique spin on the dogs, especially the bun...you might only be able to eat one here! I had the onion rings, which were thinly-sliced, nicely breaded and add a kick with a special sauce on the side. Other great sides available, as well as other main entrees...but hey, go for the dogs! The atmosphere is casual, roomy and clean. Open kitchen, so easy to see your food prep - no mystery of what fell on the floor here! The staff, simply amazing - super friendly from greeting you when you walk in, to the order process. Simply have a seat after ordering and listen for your name! Draft beer, bottled/canned beer and soft drinks available. All-in-all, good food, great service, great location (plenty of free parking or easy street parking in busy West End),

This place resembles the original in Mt. Juliet, and it's bigger. Therein lies a few problems. Logistically, the Mt. Juliet location made more sense with it's layout. Case in point, both in the Nashville and original locations, there is only place to get condiments, plasticware, and sodas. At the original location, this works; but at the Nashville location, it's extremely annoying, since the store is four times larger. If you're on the other side of the restaurant, it's a ridiculously long walk. At both locations, you order at the counter, and come when called. Again, at the original location, this works well, since the furthest table is within spitting distance of the counter. At the Nashville location, if you're not at the closest table, it's just not as easy. They really need to deliver their orders to tables at a place this large. Let me be clear, the food is excellent. It's still a great hot dog experience, and the sides are still excellent. The people at the counter are still smart, pleasant, and efficient, and the location relatively close to Centennial Park is pretty awesome. But unlike the Mt. Juliet location, which is intimate (read really small) and had to be efficient with space, it requires A LOT more effort at the Nashville location to get condiments, refill your drinks, and to even get your food from the counter. And I find that extremely annoying. I think I'll spend more time back at the original Cori's.

I am a Hot Dog Nut but only venture out once in awhile for the ultimate Dog and I found it while stopping in Nashville, TN. Simple Dog House and it is all in the Dogs, Don't care what you order they are all good I am sure. Onion Rings are amazing.

My obligatory "Where I'm from" reference: Where I'm from, militant vegans I worked with / went to Cal with were always giving me hell when I wanted to eat hot dogs. "Don't you know what's in them? Don't you know they're going to kill you? Don't you care how many chemicals are in them? They're evillllllll..........!!!!!" It's nice living in a city where I can eat a hot dog without someone's politics venomously being thrown in my face. And where the vegans are nice folk. That being said, I have enjoyed my few visits to Cori's, now that it's open. First time going in, I was just overwhelmed with the sheer size (literally and figuratively) of the combinations/permutations of their varieties of dogs with condiments. Frankly, I just wanted a dog and a separate condiment bar. But this place makes you look at their offerings. Jalapenos. Fried onions. Peppers. Celery salt. Fried egg. Sour cream. Bratwurst. Polish. Louisiana. And if you don't feel like a dog, there are sandwiches. And fried Twinkies. I've only been here twice. The first was a miss. The second was a hit. It really all depends on which combos work for me. I doubt I'd go through all of their offerings to ever get my pic on their hall of fame. I'm not really feeling it for the bread that comes with the dogs -- kind of a bit too "heavy". I end up having a lot of bread left over. I'd be happy with the usual hot dog bun. Maybe the next time I go, I'll secretly bring in my own. I love their onion rings, but I don't care much for the specialty dip that comes with it. Not sure what's in it. Cheese, I think. Lots of tables. Clean bathrooms. Four video monitors set to news or sports. Staff is super friendly.

The dogs are great, the service is great, the toasted bread is great, and my 4 year old loved the place! We'll definitely go back next time we're craving a great hotdog.

Had a great variety of choice. The hot dogs were fantastic quality, and the Texas toast buns made it! The sides were also fantastic. We had the mac n cheese, Michigan, and Buffalo and were happy with all of them. The prices were great for a lunch of hot dogs.

The hot dogs here come in this nice buttered sandwich instead of the usual bun, A nice little twist on this Americana dish. The dogs themselves are all beef, though veggie dogs, turkey dogs, kielbasa and andouille may also be ordered. Cori's touts its 37 different varieties of hot dogs, which makes for some interesting variations, ranging from mustard with sauerkraut to chili dogs and Chicago dogs with jalapenos and cheese. Each hot dog goes for a fairly reasonable $3-4 for a 6-in dog with its thick buns. With homemade fries and onion rings and a drink, the meal comes out to be about $8. The hot dogs were pretty good, but greasy as American Graffiti. The onion rings come with a nice wasabi mayo sauce, but it simply added to the oily feeling. The restaurant has a stainless steel military cafeteria feel to it, which made it somewhat uncomfortable place to sit down and eat, despite its large size. All in all, Cori's is yet another high-caloric addition to West End, but is worth visiting for the occasional snack than for a meal.

Fun times! My sons and I hit this place when we didn't feel like making dinner at home. It was a hit! We love the way the menu is laid out regionally across the US, and we really enjoyed our sampling. We got the Memphis (with BBQ sauce, of course), the Jersey Breakfast (with a fried egg on top), and the Montreal (cole slaw and chopped onions, etc.) . All were great! The buns are yummy Texas toast, although they were a bit greasy for our tastes...next time we will ask for them to go light on the butter / oil on the buns. We also got the onion rings and the fried pickles....both really really good.. Fun atmosphere with some big screen tv's...we watched a period of the Preds game.

I found this place through Sharing Spree. I got the Georgia veggie dog, which is topped with an amazing cole slaw and pimento cheese. I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to go back! They also have great customer service!

They name their hot-dog by city's name. The staff recommended Chicago which contained sausage, tomato, onion, relish, sport pepper, mustard. It tastes soft and delicious, but a little too hot for me. Nice price, may be try some veggie dog next time

wow this place was good. texas toast bun grilled with butter yum. i had the french dip and it was awesome. i wasnt in a dog mood and the roast beef and au jus sauce hit the spot. i had the mushrooms instead of fries to keep it lower carb and they were good. for what u get in the price 10 bucks with a large sweet tea also its hard to beat. only minor improvements like more toppings or better breading and dipping sauce and this place would be a five but for fast foodish type place it was very good

I gave the original location 5 stars and am doing the same for this one. Absolutely love this place and would put it up against any greasy place in town. Also, don't forget to try the fried pickles.

I saw this place on TV and wrote it down for when in the Music City. Even for a non-local it was easy to get to. I walk in the door to be met by a billboard sized menu with enough choices to give a newbie plenty to ponder. That said, I ordered a Chicago Dog and a Chili Dog an order of fries and at the last moment spied Old Style beer in the cooler. I sat down with my beer and almost immediately my food was ready and I was very surprised. I knew going in the buns were different but between the big dogs, the toppings and the buttery Texas toast buns I had a tray full of food! The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that the chili was unexciting. However, while it says "Birmingham" over there on the left I grew up in Chicago. That said, the Chicago Dog was very authentic and absolutely wonderful and washing it down with the beer I used to drink in the Windy City made it that much better. I left Cory's more than stuffed and with a big smile on my face.

We gave this restaurant 2 tries. The corndog was excellent. The texas toast seems to be a little too much bread for the dogs. I would also STAY AWAY from the coleslaw! I'm not really sure it should even be called coleslaw because it was covered in an orangish pink sauce that had a flavor that should never be in coleslaw. I couldn't really even tell if it was spoiled or not. I asked the order taker about it and she told me it was because they make everything fresh! As if I don't know what coleslaw is supposed to taste like! It was disgusting! The fries and onion rings were a little soggy, I would say average at best.

One of the best hot dogs I've ever had. The buns are a bit too much bread, but the better for holding all your toppings! I just tear off the extra on the corners and get down. Seriously, so good.

I first had Cori's at their original location in Mt. Juliet and was immediately impressed. Amazing menu, great and friendly staff (who will remember you if you return), and of course, I was blown away by the unique toasted bread bun (in my opinion, this makes the dog). If you are just looking for a plain old hotdog with ketchup, mustard, and maybe a few other toppings...you should expand your pallet. I'm kidding. They'll do that too but be warned, the menu is huge. But as I saw one reviewer gave them a knock for having a never-get-bored-with-our-restaurant menu, you'll need a second to look it over. There's a side for everyone as well. Everything from fried pickle slices and fried mushrooms to good ol' traditional french fries. The Doghouse that just opened up in Midtown is much bigger. Again, saw a knock for layout and think it's completely and utterly nothing to complain about. Very spacious and personally, I am rooting to come in there and see it packed out like the Mt. Juliet location often is. Very original take on what could've made real weiners out these guys. Go and do so with plenty of friends. If you're in the mood for a hotdog, you won't beat it.

  • TJ D.

Quite possibly the worst hot dogs I have ever tried. The hot dog is all fat and very low quality, the fried taste like they're cooked in dirty old grease and the atmosphere is as appealing as used chewing gum you find on the sidewalk. This place is a "definite stay away from"

  • Evaristo M.

First visit here. We don't have any in Wisconsin. I liked all the choices of hot dogs. So many to choose from. I went with the Chile/bacon/BBQ hot dog. I forgot the name but it lived up to its name. I really enjoyed the buns. The buns felt like I was eating a grilled cheese but with a hot dog. Lots of butter. The staff was friendly. They knew my wife and me were from out of town. I would really come back or eat at another location.

My boys are hot dog aficionados of sorts so we had to try Cori's. They loved their hot dogs and corn-dogs ("these taste delicious") and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my Polish sausage. Their mac n' cheese left something to be desired but it is admittedly not their forte. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. If you love hot dogs and sausage, you have to check this place out.

Ordered the Florida hot dog, fried pickles and a large Yazoo beer. Good food and value for $12 and the place is very big and clean. I'm bummed I was too early for happy hour or else I would have moved in on the $2 beers and half price appetizers. I dinged two stars because I'd like to see more quality over options.

  • Travis L.

This is a really cool place. They have about 50 different styles of hotdogs you can get. They serve them on Texas toast so don't worry about not getting enough food as it is very filling. I did the maine style dog which was very good and the garlic sauce was very unique combo. The french fries are really good but I would recommend getting the onion rings. Make sure to check in on Yelp to get the discount. Make sure to check this place out and come back to try a couple of the dogs. They have better places to eat near by but if you are looking for a non sit down place this is the best around.

I am a hot dog fan. Have them a few times a week. So when I am in a new city I must search out the best. Cori's is right up there! Love the grilled Texas toast instead of a bun. Excellent choice of toppings. The only ding I give them is to improve the quality of the hot dog itself. I am a Vienna beef man, but this place I highly recommend

Best hot dog I've ever eaten. Came in on 4th of July after trying many places that were closed. Ordered a Pittsburgh dog with provolone, a delicious cranberry-flecked slaw, French fries, and mustard, as well as a side of onion rings. It was so good that I can't even find words to describe it. I will definitely be back to try some more of their many different options!!

Love this place. Variety, taste, beer, TV, and service, Cori's has it all. I've been multiple times throughout my undergraduate life and even as a post-grad I still drop by every now and then, and I have yet to eat my way through their entire menu. There are so many choices that it's hard to NOT find one you'll like, and I have yet to be disappointed by any of their hotdogs. It's also a good place to hang out with some buddies, get a couple of hot dogs, some onion rings (which are delicious), and watch a game on TV while sipping on some beer. My personal favorite is the Jersey Breakfast, but that's because I love eggs. Oh, and if you're a student, mention that for a 10% discount.

Great hotdog joint. Food is well prepared. Large hotdogs and buns. Buns are toasted and designed for their specialty dogs. Veggie, turkey, beef, plain, corn dogs, and more. Easy to park. 4 flat screen TV's.

The menu is staggering. You will stare at it for no less than 5 minutes before you decide what you want, and then something else looks even more delicious and you change your mind. My only criticism for this place is I wish they were open longer! Sports everywhere, a ridiculous amount of tasty food and drink options, and a very friendly staff await you at Cori's. (This review is for the downtown Nashville location btw)

Holy Smokes! I love hot dogs, a lot. I eat one every time I am downtown from the same hot dog vendor. Cori's, well they are a game changer. I didn't think I was going to cheat on my man until I had a bite of their dog at the 2011 Taste of Music City festival. Grilled buns?? Oh yeah! I haven't had a dog like that in years. I finally made my maiden voyage out to their establishment and I'm almost regretting that I did. I'm hooked, I want to go back for more. Seeing as I'm from New Jersey it is my due diligence to come eat both of their NJ dogs. However, on my first visit I sat at a very important crossroads. Do I eat one of the NJ dogs or do I go for NY #1? I went for NY#1, I HAD to, it's so classic. Due to my feelings of guilt I will be back soon enough to try their NJ Breakfast.

Best hotdog i've even had! The menu is a bit overwhelming, but the employees are patient while you make your decisions. The only thing I didn't like were the onion rings. They were too crispy and the onion texture was gone. We have been back 4 times since originally going. If you are in for a food adventure on top of a dog, this is the place!

Cori's on West End is everything I could want from a Cori's Doghouse. Its got more space, is closer to me, and has all the great dogs I've come to expect from Cori's in Mt. Juliet. If you haven't tried a Cori's Hot dog, you are missing out. From the absurdly sized Texas Toast Bun to the endless variety of dogs on the "Cori's Tour of the US" AND Deep Fried Twinkies! If you are a Hot Dog lover you owe it to yourself to check it out!

Cori's DogHouse has suddenly become one of my favorite guilty pleasure lunch spots in town. I know these hotdogs, with their Texas toast buns and rich toppings, are probably the equivalent of a caloric cluster bomb, but they are so good. The hotdogs are quite the handful. The franks are pretty big to begin with, but Cori's takes it to the next level by using what is essentially a split piece of buttered Texas toast in lieu of a traditional bun. I attribute this just as much to necessity as indulgence, since the hotdogs are loaded with toppings and extras. I don't think a Wonder Bread bun would have a chance of holding up to them . Even the mighty Texas Toast sometimes wilts under the pressure. Cori's has almost as many topping choices as the Flying Saucer has draughts, each named after a particular city or state of influence. I've been gravitating toward their Tennessee Dog, which is loaded with both chili and Cori's homemade slaw (an excellent side on its own), with a thin line of yellow mustard to boot. The L.A. Dog is also an excellent choice, with bacon bits, cheddar cheese shred and caramelized onions literally falling off the sides. Cori's even offers options s on the type of hotdogs you can get - all-beef and turkey, to name a few. I usually go with the turkey dog in the [mostly futile?] attempt to feel like I'm making a healthier choice on the many times I seem to grab lunch here. These hotdogs are big, messy, a little greasy, and probably the best I've found in Nashville. Sure, I could probably use a fork and knife for a cleaner eating experience, but where's the fun in that?

Cori's DogHouse was found back in '09 by Sean "Sully" Sullivan, where his dogs are served up on a New England style bun. He named the restaurant after his daughter, Cori, which I thought was quite sweet. They serve 38 different varieties, featuring from certain regions ("The East," The Midwest/Central"), and serves New York style, Rhode Island Style, and even Chicago Style. I like the fact that they serve different types of dogs, but I actually expected them to offer their own unique versions, rather than offering specific regions. I don't think I was too keen on trying out the Chicago as I've had Chicago dogs before and didn't want to be disappointed :P Besides the dogs, Cori's also serves up sausages, sandwiches, and desserts. My sister and I found the 'Fried Twinkie,' and was very intrigued - it's literally a deep-fried Twinkie, dusted with powdered sugar and a drizzle of either chocolate, raspberry, caramel or vanilla sauce (we opted for the raspberry). I liked how the Twinkie actually bloated up from being deep-fried (there wasn't any batter; just literally the Twinkie being dropped into the deep fryer) - it tasted like a funnel cake! It wasn't overly sweet, but it was an interesting dessert. Staff were friendly, and I enjoyed looking at the 'Wall of Fame' in the back, where it features framed pictures of individuals who tackled all 38 dogs (no time/day limit), states how many hours/days it took them to try all the dogs on the menu, their most favorite out of them all, and they also win the restaurant's shirt as well as their picture recognition. I thought that was cool (I saw a guy who did it all in 5 days) - HA! :D +'Fried Twinkie'

Not knowing how large the dogs were, my fat a$$ ordered a corn dog, the Tennessee dog and some onion rings. The breading on the corn dog was fantastic and the Tennessee dog could be the best hot dog ever! I have never had relish so fresh and the chili was spot on! The "bun" is a warm toasty buttery crispy slam-tastic piece of heavan. Onion rings were slightly over cooked but this isn't Cori's onion ring house either so 5stars it is! If you are looking for quick, laidback place to grab a quick bite, this is the place!

As someone who loves hot dogs and brought a fellow hot dog fanatic, we were pleasantly surprised. Highlights- Texas toast and fried pickles. Downside- As we had read in other reviews- the chili wasn't seasoned right. We ordered the Memphis dog and the Boston 'hottie' dog.

If I may??? OMG! Corn dogs are phenomenal, andouille sausage was fantastic, hot dogs are amazazing....Cole slaw according to JW - best ever! Service is good and prices are reasonable - definitely a must try...and you will be back! We tried Cincinnati, Los Angeles and E Texas dogs - all outstanding. To quote a wise man..."you could put a flip flop on that bread and it would be good"!

I came, I saw, I ate an awesome hotdog and fried bologna sandwich. Fast service, clean, and fun. Prices reasonable and portions large. 2 dogs and fries is more than enough for a big guy. On Friday night the place was pretty quiet, but not dead - 4-5 other tables filled while we were there.

Really fun and delicious place. I went for lunch and found plenty of seating and quick service. The girl taking our order seemed irritated that we were even there, but other than that, it was a great time.

  • Bob G.

More of a casual dining / bar and grille kind of atmosphere, but still "fast casual" order at the counter mode of service. Serves beer. Lots of TV's ("..the game is on!!!") The dogs are BIG (order only one) but the buns are even bigger. Top-split, with a lot of bread under to soak up the toppings... this ends up being a knife and fork job. The bun is delicious, think of the top split buttered buns that Howard Johnson used ages ago, double the size, and there you go. Dog is also delicious. But the total is less than the sum of its parts - too big to pick up, not a meal without a side. Net, it's not a hot dog stand. It's a restaurant that serves a type of hot dog.

Great Customer Service & Menu. Fresh cut potatoes flash fried makes wonderful FF's ! I also like that they have Malt Vinegar out as a condiment. The Tennessee Dog was served on Texas Toast and had mustard, relish, chili & slaw on top, I asked for jalapeno peppers on the side and this was no problem at Cori's There is a nice patio outside, the restaurant was clean, service was quick and it was pretty busy at lunchtime.

I don't like hot dogs. Yeah, yeah, I know. Why did I go to a place that is known for hot dogs? I hear ya. You know how you have to try things you don't like every now and then to see if you've changed your mind? Am I the only one that does that? Anyway. My husband had been itching to try this place, so during our last weekend of being Nashville residents (very sad about it, btw) we decided to give this place a try. Our problem in the past has been wanting to eat after 9pm (when it closes), so we made sure we got there in time. I think it was about an hour before closing. People in the restaurant business tend to get testy when it gets close to closing time and people keep coming in (I know because I used to be one of them), but if it bothered them, it didn't show. Everyone was really friendly. It has been a minute since we've been here. I've been trying to tackle my draft list, but Organic Chemistry keeps taking up all of my free time. I believe I ordered the New York #1, but I don't remember what my husband ordered. Shame on me. I know that he wanted to order four or five and I had to talk him down to two. One of them had chili on it, and it wasn't that good. If I was judging this place on the buns alone, it would get 5 stars. The bun is not your standard hot dog bun and is delicious. However, the bun had other things on it, so I can't. The New York #1 has sauerkraut on it, which I got for that reason. I've had better sauerkraut. I've definitely had better chili than what was on one of my husband's hot dogs. Our sides (fried pickles and fries) were all right. Nothing was bad, but I won't go out of my way to suggest this place when we are argu-trying to decide where to eat. Btw, I still don't like hot dogs.

Absolute favorite hot dog place! Even as a vegetarian. We bring all of our visiting family's and friends here. The buns are homemade and so delicious and buttery crisp. We've since moved to Los Angeles now and none of the hot dog places here are this good. This place will be calling us back to visit Nashville one day.

Cori's is one of those undiscovered treasures on West End. Yes, it's a chain, but it had a local, casual, sports bar feel. Moreso important is that the food is delicious. And from a huge menu! They're indeed about hot dogs (in a near overwhelming number of options), but kudos for sure for the bratwurst and the Andouille sausage. And the bread-- it's New England style buns. Buttered. I want to see Cori's succeed. But I kinda selfishly also like it being a secret. That said, check it out when you can!

I'm kind of mad I didn't go here sooner. I've lived in Nashville for 7 years and just tried it a couple weeks ago. All those years of un-fulfilled hot dog outings! Oh well, I will be making up for it now whenever I feel like a hot dog. The only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is because I can see that some may not like the New England style bun. Being a New England girl myself originally, this is all kinds of amazing. (If only Cori's could add a lobster roll to their menu on the New England style bun :)) I've been twice now and service was good, price is right, large menu to choose from, hot dogs were delicious as were the fries. Also had the fried mushrooms which were yummy. If you're in the mood for a hot dog, just go. That's all. Oh also if you're a Vandy employee/student they have a 10% discount!

This place was awesome!!! Was in Nashville for a hockey tournament and this place was right hear the rink. Had my two boys with me and came here because after looking at their menu online, I knew I would be able to find something for everyone. Their are so many options that it was a little overwhelming. Not only could I get all these different things on the dogs, but in addition to just a regular hotdog, there were brats, hot links, sausages etc. I wound up with a Montreal (Deli mustard, Relish, Cole Slaw, Onions), my one boy chose the Boston Hottie (Chili, Pepper Jack Cheese, Sour Cream) while my other one just had a regular corn dog and fries. The fries are made their and were pretty good, not too oily. The place serves alcohol, though we did not partake. Nice atmmosphere for a hot dog place, appears it is in an old auto garage. Would definetely come back here to try more flavors next time we're in Nashville.

Sorry, Cori, but I'm going to have to drop a star. Customer service is still on point and friendly as always, but your chili is disgusting, which cancels out me getting several types of hot dogs and chili cheese fries. I've tasted canned chili that tasted better. Definitely not homemade. While there the other day, I got a Cincinnati and my husband ordered a Tennessee. When I took my first bite, I decided not to say anything because I already had to talk my husband into coming here and raved about how good they were...I didn't want to look like a fool so early in the game. Upon his first bite he gave me this really odd look, kind of like this o.O then started complaining about the chili. I finally admitted mine wasn't that great either. We ordered a to-go dog for my daughter at home and he ordered a chili cheese dog! I asked why in the world he did that since we both didn't like it and he said he drew a blank and knew she liked chili and cheese. Fast forward to her eating it...she gave me the same face as my husband and asked if she could scrape it off. It's that bad. Cori, please, please, please change what you're using for chili! When you do, I promise to give you back your star that I took away. I'll even add that 5th star if you can make your fries and onion rings less greasy!

Just moved here from Chicago. Had to find a place with Chicago style hotdogs and found Cori's. They do have Chicago style hot dogs, defined by topped with mustard, nuclear green relish, onions, pickles, tomatoes, hot peppers, and the clincher NO KETCHUP. Ketchup on a hot dog is against the law in Chicago. That's where the similarity ends. The bun is good, but not a Chicago steamed bun. It's not a Chicago style Vienna type hot dog. It was good but if you're looking for authentic Chicago dogs, e.g. Superdawg, Gene & Jude's or Hot Doug's (RIP), keep looking. They do have a really cool selection of hot dog styles from all around the U.S. And a good beer selection too.

Call me Kobayashi cause every time I come here, I down the hot dogs quick. I've been to a couple of the other places in town but Cori's is my fav. Their buns are buttery goodness and not your typical hot dog bun. It's awesome but expect to have greasy hands and a greasy mouth after a hot dog. There are a ton to choose from but I always end up getting the West Texas dog. I love the onion rings on it. You can't go wrong with any of the side items so try them all. The service is fast and friendly and there are TVs all around if you're wanting to watch a game. Definitely recommend this place for a cheat meal!

Really fun menu with lots of choices. I love the east Texas hot dog! Hand cut fries that are delicious, plus they have a super friendly staff. They also have a patio that allows dogs which is a huge plus for us. Cori's is one of our favorite lunch spots in Nashville.

This place was pretty good. I got the Chicago dog. I was expecting the typical poppy seed bun, this their dogs come on a piece of sliced and buttered texas toast (think lobster roll, but toasted). Different, but still good. It had a good frank on it, with plenty of toppings. When I saw other people's plates, that seems to be the norm. The dogs come loaded. The onion rings were good, if maybe a little thin. Free refills on soda, and plenty of room to sit and park. Would definitely come back here.

Vegetarian Hot Dog was great !! Great texture and taste. The fries were not something I would come back for . The service is STELLAR!!!! There are two TV's one on sports one on news the news is silent the sports loud and clear. Very clean place!

Quite possibly the worst hot dogs I have ever tried. The hot dog is all fat and very low quality, the fried taste like they're cooked in dirty old grease and the atmosphere is as appealing as used chewing gum you find on the sidewalk. This place is a "definite stay away from"

  • Justin B.

She's pretty rude and condescending if you ask questions.

i had high expectations for this place based off yelp. when i found out that they have house made fries i got turned on. however whats weird was that the fries were just ok. i can't pointpoint was it was. maybe it needed to be crispier?? im not sure but i was really baffled by this the entire time. the bun is NOT your traditional hot dog bun. this is the type id expect the four seasons to use if they ever served hot dogs at their hotels. you can tell a lot of thought when into this bun. its more like a short thick slice of bread sliced in half. its really good bread but for me in terms of bread to hot dog ration - way too much bread. graet service and tons of eating space id go back. also the hot dog i got with cole slaw was superb. i wouldn't change the cole slaw at all. JEANS: OK by far ORDER: at counter

Had to stop in Nashville on my way to Florida from Louisville just to have some Cori's in my life. The Chicago style veggie hotdog is still amazing, and those onion rings! I'm glad this place 3 hours away!
