Stopped in, no reservations, for dinner following a business meeting nearby. It was a bit early, so there was no wait. Accordingly, service was prompt and attentive. Server (sadly I can't recall his name) was fantastic - explained options, specials, a bit of history (red peppers and pickles in salt water brine on every table). The meal was great - filet was as ordered and very flavorful. I had the 9 oz, but it was very thick. Smashed potatoes were very good, as was the large glazed carrot (I'm not usually a fan of carrots but this was great - tender but firm and sweet). Did not try any of the drinks. Good location, good ambiance.

Had dinner for our 20th anniversary last night. Everything was great! Friendly and attentive staff, fabulous food and atmosphere! Love the potatoes with gravy and the brownie with ice cream and chocolate coating is to die for.

Excellent Steak and Service!... Don't forget the Pickles! Located off the lobby of the Omni hotel in downtown Nashville, Bob's Steak House is melt in your mouth good. The steaks are cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Each table has a jar of pickled veggies that are serve yourself and outstanding. They also serve a large crusty bread round which is delicious. The steaks run from about $28-89. There also a variety of a la carte salads, soups and appetizers. The service was expert, professional and friendly.I highly recommend Bob's and think it should be a key stop when in downtown Nashville. The only caveats and the reasons it is not 5 stars: 1) It is very loud inside which takes away from the upscale steakhouse experience, 2) the steaks come with a sugar coated carrot instead of a vegetable option. The carrot is so sugar glazed you can taste the crystals. Its $5 if you want to switch to a green vegetable instead of the the carrot "dessert." and 3) the potato that is supposed to also come with the steak never arrived which was strange and never mentioned - Kind of odd for such otherwise great service. None of those issues take away from the fantastic quality and flavor of the steak. Enjoy!

Located on the first floor of the Omni and steps away from Smashville, Bob's gets my vote for the best steakhouse in Nashville. Don't come to Bob's looking for anything other than steak. This isn't some hipster, world-fusion pea foam ganache serving place where you're going to see Andre from The League. You're getting a steak, and it's a going to be a damn good one. Start off with a drink -- they have an excellent selection of scotch, bourbon, and Tennessee whiskeys, including the Macallan 25 if you're up to splurge. Wear a jacket or sport coat and nice shoes. You don't have to wear I tie -- I try to avoid them after work. The decor is old school, Don Draper era class. Almost makes you want to break out a cigar once your belly is full after an exquisite meal with incredible service. Tip your waiter well - you will agree that he more than deserves it.

This place was amazing. We went for our one year wedding anniversary. We made our reservation on open table and mentioned that it was a special day. They made a special menu just for us with our names on it! Very special! Also, our waitress was very attentive, but no too much so. She was very helpful and really knew the menu. As far as the food goes, all I can say is YUM. We got started with the tomato and mozz and the friend calamary. Both were very good. We shared the 220z rib-eye steak with lobster Mac. OMG heavenly. The steak was perfect, and so was the pasta. A very good choice on our special night. Thank you!

The rack of lamb was delicious; the service at the bar was horrible. Very unfriendly bartenders and there were about four of them. They didn't greet us or say good bye, we heard them talking to their customers with a very defensive attitude. We would not go back to the bar they never asked how the food was or if we wanted another drink.

We have visited Bob's on several occasions, and we have enjoyed it very much. Though I cannot claim to be a steak expert, it gets my vote for best steakhouse in Nashville. Here's the deal at Bob's: they have steaks. Don't go expecting adventures in molecular gastronomy; don't look for chef-driven innovations. They have steaks and they do them right. You have a wide variety to choose from. You will get delicious crusty bread, and your steak will come with both a giant glazed carrot and your choice of potato-based side (pro tip: get the "smashed" potatoes). You can get appetizers and desserts, which are terrific, but the main event is the steak. So here are my tips. Come hungry. Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine; both lists are terrific. If they're running a surf and turf special (often a small filet mignon and a lobster tail), get it and don't ask questions. Bob's is a splurge in terms of price, but for quality and total experience, you can't argue with it. It is not merely a steakhouse in a fancy hotel; it is the steakhouse our downtown deserves.

This is the best steakhouse in Nashville! I started with a wedge salad, which was the epitome of what a wedge should be. My wife had a filet and baked potato, and both were perfect as well. I opted for the Tomahawk Rib Eye. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Creamed corn was delicious. The glazed carrot was great, and I don't really like cooked carrots. The skillet potatoes with the gravy and onions are a must try. We were staying in the hotel, and decided to have our chocolate cake packed to go. It was my bday, so they packed it with forks, plates and two glasses of champagne to take to the room. All on the house. Class act. Can't wait to go back and try the bone in filet, and the fried lobster tail.

Excellent service, excellent food. You can't go wrong with this choice. Pricey but well worth it. Not a wine person but the waiter paired the wine perfectly with my steak, which was cooked perfectly medium pink. Veggies and salad were delicious. Roasted lobster was very good. Highly recommend.

Food was loaded with salt and mediocre at best. When paying top dollar for a meal, mediocrity is absolutely unacceptable. Our server was rude, condescending and completely inattentive. The restaurant was empty, yet he did not come over once to offer us a drink even when we had empty glasses in front of us. He provided absolutely no guidance regarding portion size which caused us to over order. He continously made errors, and when told so he would blame it on the customer. For instance, a steak comes with a carrot and choice of potato. When I ordered my steak he did not ask me how I wanted my potato prepared, and then served me a plate without a potato. When I politely asked why I was the only person without a potato, he got very rude and told me I never told him I wanted a potato. Seriously? The icing on the cake was that he handed us the check and while walking away he said "by the way, gratuity is not included." Unacceptable. I would appreciate a prompt response from management.

While this place was certainly pricey, it did not disappoint. I was here with 14 others for the Beachbody Summit 2015, and at the last minute on a Friday night, we decided we wanted to eat out at a nice restaurant. I called other places that were unable or unwilling to accommodate us, but when I called here, they were able to situate us in a private room within an hour and a half. Several people looked at the steak prices and were hesitant, but about 6-7 of us went for it and got the filet mignon or rib eye. A few others got salads and the lobster mac & cheese and good lord was that delicious! If you see that on the menu and want something comforting and fabulous, get that!! I got a glass of wine and the 9 oz filet mignon, and though we had a wait due to a few people ordering their steaks well done (what??), none of us were disappointed in the least! The smashed potatoes were flavorful and creamy, while my steak was well-seasoned and a perfectly cooked medium-rare. The large carrot, although delicious, threw some off, but I ate all of mine. The bread was even quite good, but we were all also starving and ready to eat a small animal, but I'm sure I would think that way nonetheless! I will be back next year and hopefully with a pre-made reservation!!! Wonderful!!!! We all left happy and talking about it the next day!!

Excellent salmon patties, creme brûlée to die for. Creme corn was amazing also. Date had I believe the 9 0z steak , said it was good as well. Onion rings appetizers are great too. Laura our server was very attentive without being overbearing. Meal for two with generous tip came to 200.

Great place. You'll be presented with table bread and a jar of pickles and red peppers - yum... Appetizer? Well of course you'll enjoy it! All of their appetizers are excellent, and been there enough times to be able to say that. Any of the beef you select is top notch, personally find it far better than ANY and I mean any other well known steak place. Seafood menu is done well also. Salads are good, caprese salad a bit different, as it is chopped, but still enjoyable. Great selection of wine, bar selection is additionally good and drinks are consistently poured well. Were you wondering about dessert,I did. Carrot cake? Even if you weren't a fan you'd love this. Try any of the desserts you won't be disappointed. Make sure you have a reservation. If you don't, remember, good things come to those that wait.

Bob's, located inside the Omni, is outstanding. Nashville offers many steak houses, this one is worth the visit. Bob's Offers plenty of Ambience, comfortable seats and an elegant atmosphere. The lamb entree and bone-in steak choices are sure to please. The Bar drinks were well prepared. 07/11/2015 was My third time in and it will not be my last.

As a foodie, I'm always excited to try new places. Bob's did not disappoint!!! Our experience was AMAZING!!! Laura took great care of us and the food was superb. We enjoyed the bacon and smoked salmon as our appetizers. The smoked salmon was so buttery and not too salty. My brother and father raved about how wonderful the bacon was. We also really enjoyed the pickled peppers on the table. Now the main courses were outstanding! We had the veal, lamb chops, crab cakes, and the surf and turf. Have I mentioned how AMAZING our meal was! To top it off, we enjoyed the best chocolate brownie and cake I've ever tasted. If you've finished this review, it goes without saying, try Bob's! We will be back soon!!!

I've been here a couple times now and it's disappointed me over all. I think perhaps one more try is possible next time I'm in Nashville. The whole meal is very heavy. Good flavor and nuance is lost when you're handed five pounds of food covered in sauces. The cuts of meat are a good quality.

Went to Bob's on a Friday night. We called in around 6:30pm for a table of 10, and they said they could accommodate us at 8pm... sweet! Appetizers and soups came out pretty quick..... but then, everything went downhill. Waited 1.5hrs for dinner to come out after repeated assurances from wait staff that "we were next. just a few tables needed to be plated before us". When you have a table of 3 kids and a pregnant lady, 1.5hrs is an eternity. Granted, they were able to accommodate our large group last minute, but this is a hotel - you should be able to do that and handle volume, no? We got our dinners after 10pm. At that point, no one was hungry anymore, kids were cranky, and we just wanted to get out of there. I should have kept my reservations at The Palm.

  • Sam L.

I wish the food was better. The lobster appetizers didn't have enough flavor or acidity to it. The wait staff was also too intrusive and had 4 different people helping us which got confusing and orders didn't come out right. The fish of day (halibut) was overcooked and dry. The cream spinach was too salty and brussels sprouts had too much char on them. The cream corn was very good and tasted fresh and just the right amount of seasoning. The steak (prime rib) was way too fatty and not a great cut of protein for the price.

  • Doojin K.

Great service. The steak was on the salty side. I got the wedge potatoes with gravy on top and those were so salty to be almost inedible.

Bob's is a classic steak house that will not disappoint but also will not necessarily surprise or amaze you. Being a steakhouse, the offerings are pretty straight forward, and the portions are HUGE. Steaks come with a roasted carrot the size of an infant's leg. Potatoes are the size of that same kid's head. An order of onion rings looks like a replica of the Berlin wall. Because we were there with a group, they showed their appreciation by giving us a free brownie sundae dessert that could have served half of a 2nd grade class. Enough with the size puns - the food is good and if you're a steak fan, you won't be disappointed. The decor is classic steakhouse, though very dark - not the place to go if you want to review documents during your work meal or if you have someone who has trouble seeing in the dark.

We had the pleasure of visiting this place for the first time last night and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was perfect. The wait staff gets 5 stars! Our waiter, which had the nicknamed "Hoodick" was the best. Very attentive to our needs and explained everything up and above. The bone in rib-eye was amazing!!! The filet on the bone that my wife had was unbelievable. So good, you actually will pick it up off your plate and eat the meat off the bone! Crazy!!! Also, get the chocolate cake when you finish!! Love this place!

The ambience is wonderful! Intimate and relaxing yet still fun. The service was a little slow the night we went, but our server was awesome and accommodating. The food was delicious, but I do agree with the other reviews I've read: a bit too pricey for what you get. It didn't blow my socks off, but it was good. A nice little icing on the cake was when our waiter brought free desserts for our 1 year anniversary. His treatment is what takes it from 3 stars to 4.

During a recent business trip to downtown Nashville I had one of the best filets of my life at Bob's. I am (unfortunately!) a carnivorous type and I love a good steak, filet being my favorite. Two gents and I had dinner at Bob's at my urging (it looks beautiful and enticing with its airy but alluringly dim seating and cracking fireplaces, as seen from across the road at the new music convention center). We didn't have reservations so we weren't able to sit in the fireplace-lit room (granted, we are talking the dead of a southern summer here), but we were luckily seated immediately in the bar area. The menu is your typical higher-price point steakhouse: steaks, potatoes, a la carte sides for sharing, salads, seafoods. We split an appetizer of the calamari, and while it was nothing profound (Bob's MIGHT have been a little more imaginative with the dipping option, a straight up marinara), it was tender and tasty and we three polished off the plate. (And I think Bob's serves bread, gratis, but we didn't get any - no biggie however). I wanted a bone-in filet, which isn't a regular menu offering but it was being offered as a special that night. Our server, a friendly and quick gal, noted it was a hefty one-pounder, so I opted for the slightly more conservative boneless 9-oz. filet, med-rare. The two guys also ordered steaks, which all came with perfectly cooked and bursting with fluffiness baked potatoes. And a carrot. We each got a huge, peeled, cooked carrot, tops lopped off, basted in brown-sugary butteriness. It was very pointedly phallic. I don't love cooked carrots or pointedly phallic objects, so I asked both of my dinner fellows if they'd like mine, one who deadpanned, "no thanks, I have 10 inches of my own." I plopped the offending root onto the butter plate (really some people may love it, both of the guys did, I just really hate cooked carrots), and enjoyed my filet and spud. My filet was literally cooked to fork-tender perfection, hot juicy red interior with a perfectly seasoned, slightly charred exterior. Absolutely delicious and I shamelessly devoured the entire thick, densely-rich portion. The entire tab before tip was about $137, for 4 beers+3 steak entrees+calamari appetizer. Very worth it and not a bad price for tourist-driven downtown Nashville. I would definitely do a victory lap the next time I'm in Nashville.

I put a week between our first visit to Bob's before reviewing. Also had to ask hubby what rating he would give. My hesitation was due to the feeling that I must have missed something. But no, it was a solid 3 star evening. We were a party of four and we had a great time entertaining each other; so the evening was a great time. The food, however, was not exceptional. Three of our four had steak and I had salmon. We've all eaten at many a high end steak house; nothing stood out. The sides were all fine. The carrots served with my salmon ( I asked for double veg/hold the starch) and the carrots were huge and pretty tough. I love carrots and ate about two bites. The salmon was fine. Everyone else said their meal was "good". The desserts were eaten. I didn't have a dessert but nobody at the table said anything like "OMG, you have to taste this!" either. Service was fine...not great, but nothing bad happened. I don't have much more to say...it was just ok. Nice to get the parking validated. Our dining companions were staying at The Omni and remarked that they paid $30 to park on the same evening that my husband and I had our parking comped. Overall I was not taken aback by the bill at all. A bit under $400 for the 4 of us, including tip. I've paid more than that at many Nashville restaurants. I've got nothing else....

I had the porterhouse, and my girlfriend had the filet. Both were cooked to perfection and the porterhouse was easily the best steak I ever ate! Excellent!

We started with a salad and lobster bisque. The soup was good but almost no lobster. I requested piping hot but it was just warm. The bread was excellent, crunchy on the outside and soft on the middle. We had their lobster appetizer but it was very salty and did not taste like lobster. .I had their rib eye charged but it was burnt, I should have sent it back but I was starving. Service was very good and was seated immediately

Ate here with a group of four. Bar is fantastic. Great cocktails and comfy stools. Moved to dining room to eat and the steaks were extremely good. The carrot was shockingly good, perfectly glazed with a brown sugar honey or something. The only reason for the one-star reduction was the mac-n-cheese was mediocre, as was the bread pudding dessert. The service was perfect. Expensive place but that was expected at The Omni.

Initially impressed by this restaurant, soon to be disappointed by the subtle up selling. Server was attentive and pleasant, however the constant reference to what was deemed to be favorite started to aggravate me. Then came the wine shocker. I ordered a moderately priced Pinot Noir only to be bought a wine from the same vineyard at double the price. Having caught on before it was opened, I declined it and chose again. The steak was perfect, however my guest chose the fried lobster which is really no way to serve such a delicately flavored creature. My opinion, a little to pricey for Nashville.

I was here for a business meeting. We had the private room. The service was excellent. John described the special offerings and helped with suggestions. The steaks were tender and tasty. Save room for the Pecan Pie.

  • Mary A.

My husband and I went there for our birthdays and the food was mediocre. The steaks were pricey for what we got, there was a very limited selection of side dishes and salads, which were also very ordinary. I'm not sure about about the pickles and peppers, that's not something I want at a steak house. We did have a very attentive waitress, and the atmosphere was nice, but I can't say that I would return here. Overpriced!

Arrived early evening to ensure concert arrival and we were seated promptly. Explained to Sam our expedited needs and he was more than successful in fulfilling our request. Crab cake was a hit, filet was excellent and smashed potatoes were a success. Wife and I both enjoyed the lobster mac and the serving size is quite large. Sam was superb and informative and the food top notch. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone.

A five star if it is on someone else's tab, as my experience was. A 3 if not..I had the best steak of my life, a bone in Wagyu ribeye called the Tomahawk. It was ridiculous in every sense, and just....astounding. Service was impeccable. Side dishes....first, who needs them? But if you just...the carrot...very meh, aside from the comedy the size provides. I had smashed potatoes, and they were fine. Only other thing I tasted was the corn, and it was banging. Since it was a business gathering, I brought the wife chocolate cake home. Enough to give on-the-spot diabetes to 4 people, it was just ok.

Bob's always seems to be that steak house that you can never find anything really wrong with but will never impress you with anything amazing. Very classic dishes, cooked properly, but with no real soul and zero innovation. There are better steak house options for less money. "Impressive" prices should be complimented with impressive dishes. Unfortunately, not the case with Bob's. Bread is great. Fillet was cooked nicely but somehow bland and boring. A real waste of a great cut, IMO. Smashed potatoes were flavorless. Carrot was good... but just good. Lobster appetizer special was a real let-down because the breading was so overwhelming that it killed the flavor of the lobster meat.

  • Michael B.

I cannot say enough about the service at Bob's. It's what you should expect at every restaurant of this caliber. They were friendly and helpful, not overbearing, and attentive in consideration of the price you pay for the meal. You cannot go wrong with the breaded lobster tail for an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We also tried the calamari, which was average in flavor but well prepared. My filet was perfectly cooked and adequately seasoned. All food presentation was pleasing, and the wine list was sufficient for all budgets.

We really enjoyed Bob's! My husband and I went with another couple the night after Valentines. Food: We had the calamari for an appetizer. It was pretty standard. My husband and the other man ordered the bone in Waygu steak. It was not on the menu that night, but our serve was fantastic and hooked them up. I had the special which was scallops and the other lady ordered the filet mignon -- All our food was fabulous. You must get the creamed spinach! It's too die for. The giant carrot on all the plates is kind of strange -- but whatever. We also had the creme brulee which was nothing special. We had a birthday in our party, so they brought a complimentary brownie sundae which was pretty good. Drinks: My husband is a beer guy -- he found their beer list to be adequate, but not expansive. The wine list on the other hand is out of this world! They also have a nice cocktail menu and all our drinks were very good. Service/Atmosphere: Our server was excellent. We never had an empty drink. He made sure that my husband got the steak he wanted -- he really took care of us. The atmosphere was good. It was dark and could be very romantic. We will definitely be returning to Bob's during our next trip to Nashville. I highly recommend.

Went to Bob's this weekend and left totally unimpressed for the $$. Our bill was right at $300 (including tip) and for this we got a salad, a bowl of soup, 2 steaks, 2 baked potatoes and a bottle of wine. Now, granted, our wine was ~$80 of that but that is still very pricey. We would have been fine with this if the food had been outstanding, but it just didn't wow us. I ordered a filet, medium done, and it came out overdone. My husband said his filet was also just "oK" and not really seasoned in any special way. The ambiance is severely lacking here. The acoustics in this place are terrible. Even though the restaurant was only about three-quarters full, it was really noisy. We could hear the conversations of a large group at a table 45 feet from us. My husband and I had a hard time carrying on a conversation due to the noise. It also didn't help that the table they sat us at was about 4 feet long so we were literally shouting across the table. Not really romantic... I gave this place 2 stars because the service was good and both the server and the hostess were incredibly accommodating. However, we will not be coming back. For $300, we can get a way more outstanding meal at Kayne Prime in a nicer more intimate atmosphere. I bet this place will stay in business due to the tourist traffic. But native Nashvillians know there are far better steak house options in the downtown area.

The bone in rib eye was the best steak I've ever had. Scott T was out server and was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and very real. The food was fantastic. Drinks were wonderful. Dessert was over the top. Two of us with appetizer, entrees, sides, drinks and dessert was $150, and worth every penny. On travel from California and in town for my girlfriends birthday dinner, this was a perfect stop. Well done and hats off to Scott.

Rude, Rude! We were trying to celebrate a huge milestone in my husbands career and I called to ask if they would still serve us right at closing... Instead I got a ear full of rudeness! It could have been a simple polite yes or no! I will NEVER go to any Bob's.

OMG! I stayed in the Omni hotel and went to this amazing restaurant located downstairs. Great customer service. The best food I have ever tasted in my life. The mash potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, lobster bisque, creme brulee, chocolate cake, steak, cheesecake, peacan pie were to die for. The glazed carrot was unlike anything I've ever tasted(amazing). I know I know..sounds like I ate them under the table. Long story short is that everyone at my table was pleased(A table of 9 people). It is a little pricey, but this is a place that everyone should experience.

Was in town for a convention. Went to Bob's more for being in the Omni than anything else. Girlfriend and I wanted to split a steak so we ordered a 22 ounce bone in ribeye with loaded baked potato and a bowl of french onion soup. She liked the soup. The potato came plain with condiments on a turn style. The bartender said he had to apply the condiments. Don't know why they just didn't do it in the kitchen. Our steak was properly prepared but was 12 - 16 ounce and definitely no bone! Potato was good and while steak was good, was not impressive for $48. The wait for food was 25 minutes plus. They do not serve bread unless you ask for it. We had to ask twice. She had wine which was good and I had a coke. Never got asked if we wanted more of either. We did sit at the bar as we had no reservation and they were booked for the night. When I'm told that, I really expect the place to be packed the entire time I'm there. The bar was busy and there were empty tables the entire time we were there. Wasn't treated badly, wasn't treated exceptionally. That coupled with the wrong food ( it was taken off our bill), I can't recommend bob's as a nice high end restaurant.

Steaks are 5star. Everything else was 3-4 star. The steaks were large portions, excellent cut and quality. Excellent flavor and tenderness. We had bone in ribeye and mid size filet. Shrimp platter app was solid but not outstanding. Salads were fair. Sides left a little to be desired. Cream brûlée was ok but had a grainy texture. Overall good experience.

Everything was fantastic, from the crab cakes and champagne to the peanutbutter brownie sundae. I got the Kansas strip. The flavor and tenderness was great. The smashed potatoes and lobster mac n cheese was delicious and the honey glazed carrot was a nice suprise. Loved everything!

Dined there last night with friends from Austin. Last minute choice. Friends staying at the Omni. Everything else in Nashville slammed. Friends ate at other hotel restaurant the night before and raved about it (kitchen something). So we decided to give it a shot. Mistake. Pros- good service sorta. We actually had bad service and then some guy who never told us who he was, came by, apologized for the poor service, and told us he was reducing our bill by $125. We received our salads after our entrees. Cons- LOUD music! we couldn't converse in a small room with four tables. They did turn it down after we asked. The food is not good. The calamari was bland and the accompanying sauce was so tart it was nearly inedible. Ditto with my wedge salad which somehow was boring, bland and also very very tart. The meat (I ordered a 22oz KC strip and split it with my cousin) was fine. A tad overcooked for medium rare but ok. Husbands entree was ok. Nothing great. Sides are just plain bad or weird. Huge soft sweet carrot. I like carrots. But this one looked like it had been put thru that machine on a bugs bunny cartoon and super sized into a weird killer carrot. Um can you say genetically modified ? Skillet potatoes were awful. We decided to cut our losses before dessert .... With all the places to eat in Nashville (finally!!) I would not eat here.

Went here for 25th anniversary celebration. Excellent service and excellent food. Be sure to try the fried lobster appetizer. Negatives were that it was a little dark for my liking - but the eyes adjust. Also the price makes this place for special times only. A cut above the other top tier steakhouses in my opinion. Special touch - they prepared a special menu for us with our names and the 25th anniversary language. Very nice - and something for the scrap book! We will return!!

I agree with the other 3 star voters. There was nothing impressive about Bob's. My husband and I went with another couple for a double date. We rarely get the chance to go out all together without kids so we decided to go a little fancier. We chose the wrong place to give over $100 each for dinner. Food: Don't bother with a salad. The portion is disappointing given the $8 - $15 price tag. My husband and I split the tossed salad and we each had about 7 pieces of lettuce on our plates with a few cucumbers and tomatoes. Our friends got the blue cheese salad and the same small portion/unimpressive. I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye cooked medium. It was more medium well with one side very crisp. It was dry and tough. My friend ordered the 9 oz Filet cooked Medium. The filet was, no kidding, three inches tall and the therefore, the middle was rare. She had to send it back to the kitchen. Like others, we cut our losses and skipped dessert. I hate to say it, but I've had better steaks/meals at Outback.

Since Bob's had only been open a few wks when we dined there,I feel badly giving such a poor review. We had a great corner booth for six. Liked the energetic atmosphere. We were really excited to tour the beautiful new OMNI and try Bob's. Our waiter was ok....seemed a bit inexperienced....but did the best he could and was very courteous. The cocktail menu was lacking a proper variety. Tried to order an off the menu drink, but they didn't have one of the ingredients which was fairly basic. Settled for their peartini which was good, but too sweet for me. Wine list was very weak in my opinion. First bottle we chose they didn't even have. The basic salad was unbelievably boring & uninspiring. Might as well have been from a bag of salad.....maybe it was! Hard to believe a restaurant like this would even consider serving this salad. Delivery and presentation of food was very outdated and more like something in a much less expensive steak place. Unbelievable that the server must come to table with a condiment serving dish and ask which items to put on your potato. My husband and i split a potato....our halves each arrived on the plates upside down. I had to flip it over, score it, so that server could then dress the potato from the condiment serving dish. Reminds me of something from the 70's. Very annoying. All 6 of us were put off by this. Filet was ok...not extraordinary. It should have been extraordinary for the price. (we dined this weekend at an out of town Flemings, and the filet was fabulous! No comparison.) Also, Bob's includes with the steak a huge whole carrot. You heard right....what an odd choice. Just too weird. It tasted fine, but again, just a ridiculous presentation. Not planning a return trip to Bob's. Too many other excellent choices. Hope things do quickly turn around so that Bob's can be successful.

Good service but horrible food and too expensive for the quality. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The Best Filet ever! Everything was great but the steak was the best. I understand they recently opened here in Nashville, but they are running like they've been established for some time. We will be back.

We got the bone in ribeye, onion rings skillet potatoes and blonde brownie. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, nice crust. Two things I didn't like about the steak was the cresent was very small and it had a little gristle on it. But overall I would give it a 8 out of 10. The onion rings could feed a army. They where very large and you get a lot of them. But they where lacking flavor. The batter was lacking flavor and tasted like it was cooked in the same oil as some sea food. Would not recommend them. The skillet potatoes I got with the gravy on the side, potatoes well done. I also ask for garlic to be added. They where the best skillet potatoes I've ever had at a restaurant. The bread that they bring you is very very messy and hard to cut without annihilating the loaf. It was average bread. The pickles and bell peppers they put at every table were ok. The blonde brownie was amazing. Two brownies with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and a scoop of peanut butter ice cream. Then it had nuts and whip cream and a cherry. They gave it to us for free because it was are anniversary. Scott was are server, he did a great job. He explained the menu very well to us and told us what was popular. I like to talk and he was open talk to us. The atmosphere was very nice. The lights where dim but not to much where you can't see well. It's a very nice place for a special event or a business meeting.

What ca. I say. As a fashion new style steak house. One of the best I have been in. The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. The carrot a nice hint, and the baked potato amazing. Love the table side service with the condiments for your potato. Staff was very busy but great service. Our waitress was a pro, she had short hair and looked like a sexy Molly Ringwald. She was so good handling a big group. The appetizers salads and soups were very good . Lobster bisque was awesome. The atmosphere awesome, nice bar area too. The whole experience was top notch right down to the decor and the entrance in the driveway straight to the restaurant. Very trendy.

After having a few meals at the Bob's in Dallas, we were thrilled to learn that there was one that just opened in Nashville. We sat up at the bar and had the best service and met some fun guys that shared the love of the food they ordered. The steak was cooked to perfection, the bread is always fresh, the potatoes, salad (we order the spinach w egg and the honey something dressing) and corn are to die for.

New Year's dinner last night was excellent and service was also pretty good. Great location and easy access to Music City nightlife. Will be back in the future.
