High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. Absolutely terrible experience. My family and I come here quite often as we live very close by, but this experience was by far the worst. First, we sat down and ordered drinks, my husband ordered a draft beer. The beer was brought out to us and was completely warm, we let the waitress know that the beer was warm and she said she thought they may have been a problem with the tap and would check on it for us. (totally fine, I was a bartender crap happens). She comes back and lets us know that it's not working but she can get him a bottled beer, he originally ordered a TALL draft beer that was $3.75 and he said oh ok will the bottle be at the same price? Her response was a casual "umm yea, I think so, yea". So he obliged. She brought the bottled beer out and it was cold so we appreciated that. We ordered our food and it took about 30 minutes to come out to us, which we weren't upset about but once it got out the food looked as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp for 15 minutes. We ordered alot of appetizers and the meatballs were completely hard on top and squishy on the bottom, it almost seemed as if they had cooked them once, and they had gotten cold so they microwaved them again before sending them out. I had some spinach dip and every single chip was completely stale. We are sad as we had hoped that Applebee's was turning around. Once we received our bill we were charged $3.99 for the bottled beer which was only 12 oz. as opposed to the $3.75 for the 24 ounce tall draft. I completely understand they are different and cost different prices but we were under the assumption that it was the same according the waitress. She just slid it on the bill without even saying anything to us about it. The manager did come around a couple of times and ask if everything was ok, but to be honest we already felt uncomfortable after letting the waitress know about the beer, so we didn't want to be the complaining table as it seemed to really annoy her. I would not recommend this to anyone and we will not be back.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Never again... We actually were tempted to stand outside after our experience and warn people not to waste their time or money as our civic duty, but I digress. This place was terrible. I know it's Applebees and they aren't known for the best food, but even for Applebees, this place was the pits. Poorly run, poorly managed, and a wait staff that seems to be used to dealing with it all. The order was all wrong. We ordered 2 side salads and only one made it to the table before the entrees. I personally ordered the big Fiesta Chicken Salad as my entree and when it came, it was smaller than the side salads. My wife ordered a baked potato which was stone cold all on one side, only to be replaced with another that was also cold on one side as well. And I mean really, really, the inedible type of cold... They did replace my salad and got that wrong. I ordered it no onion. The first one was sent back and the second came out loaded with onion. I just kept quiet, suffered through and ate around the onion. My son ordered the fish and chips and it came with a side of cole slaw. And by "side" I mean maybe a teaspoon of cole slaw in a plastic cup. During our experience the wait staff was constantly mumbling to each other in-passing, laughing about having to return plates to the kitchen, like it was a game or something. "Number 3 for me tonight, how about you?" "I'm on number six or seven myself!" To top it off, our poor waitress who had to deal with all of our complaints and insistence that they get it right, came back to the table and I quote, "So... Y'all want some money off the check or some brownie bites?" Much in the tone of "business as usual." I actually was going to write this review at the table, show it to the manager, but THEIR WIRELESS NETWORK WAS BLOCKING ACCESS TO YELP! So, I had to wait until I got home. We will never darken the door here or any other Applebees, ever because of this evening.

Inconsistent experience. Service is usually decent but food is boring and not of good quality. Salad mix is awful and now I can't even order normal chicken wings? Rarely see a manager and it's obvious the place is subpar as they typically have 4-5 tables seated.

Amazing happy hour. I don't believe there is a better Sweet and Spicy Boneless wing in the world. If you like the sweet and spicy sauce, you need to try it on the ribs. OMG they are the best.

We like to sit at the bar. This is a problem when the bar tender disappears for long stretches at a time. No idea where they go but it has happened the last few times we have visited. Empty drinks and waiting on the tab. We aren't demanding. Just take our order and be present. They can't handle the basics. Food is about what one would expect Applebee's. I've never seen a bar go unattended like this one does.

Our waiter felt he didn't need to write anything down. Big mistake. I ordered a martini with olives before the meal. He brought me a watery martini with a slice of lime. I have never seen a martini with a slice of lime. The drink was terrible, even after I got my olives. I ordered unsweetened ice tea with my meal. The entree was fish and chips, and I asked for malt vinegar with the fish. The fish was unremarkable and undercooked, and came with no malt vinegar. The slaw seemed to have been previously frozen, and just barely defrosted. I managed to flag down another waiter and get some malt vinegar. About half way through the meal, my the waiter asked if I was ready for "that iced tea." He brought me sweetened tea instead of unsweetened. I don't see any further visits to Applebee's in my future.

We have eaten here twice before and it was ok. After tonight never again. They must boil the potatoes then refrigerate them. When one is ordered it is microwaved. Mine was served cold.... Not the cold like it wasn't right out of the oven but cold like right out of the refrigerator cold. And two times not once.

Try the new Roma Pepper Steak or Tango Tequila Chicken & Shrimp dishes. They were both out of this world. The restaurant was extremely clean and friendly service staff. The managers were constantly walking around ensuring we had a great time.

Everything was terrible. Service was good, but the food sucked. It tasted like everything was from a can and then microwave was used to cook it. Very disappointed.

I haven't had a bad experience yet, however it does seem like they've scaled back the portions.

Cold, stale, chewy chips. $6 for a Samuel Adams beer.... Food tastes like it was microwaved. I hadn't been to an Applebee's in a while so if this is par for all Applebee's then they are in a downward spiral. I definitely won't be coming back to this location and will probably just swear off Applebee's all together. Waste of money.
