"Underwhelming." From the chic understated decor, fabric-coated menu booklets, and "different" menu headings I anticipated a truly unique dining experience. You get that in the burger and sandwich menu (which are a lot of the offerings) but not so much in the entrees. Overall food was well prepared and tasty (our party's order consisted of two different burgers, the swordfish, two chicken entrees, and the $6 kid's chicken tenders) but we all left expecting more from the meal. Wait staff was good but rushed us as customers (asking if the bill was on one check before we were half-way through, offering to box food when four of us were still eating). Would probably go back but only for lunch.

Newer Restaurant in the Boro and with so much competition not sure they will make it long term. My mom said the Ruben Sandwich was excellent. The rest of our food was average. The service and cleanliness was fine. Nice building but overall they have much work to do.

I had the tilapia and I give it a 10 out of 10. Guest that came with me had the basic burger and she said it was 10 out of 10. They have Mexican coke which it awesome because I love the taste better :). Also you must try the chocolate mousse with a hint of Nutella when you come :). Very good rich dessert :). The service was first class :). Everyone made sure our dinning experience was wonderful.

Come on folks--Mexican bottled Coke is a gourmet treat. Maybe you're not an aficionado, but for those who are, we look forward to finding these bottles chilled and opened at the table. The red snapper was grilled to perfection (catch of the day), and the dinner salad with avocado vinaigrette was fantastic (with jicama!). We loved the Nutella chocolate mousse, and I'm looking forward to experiencing some of their mixed drinks next time. This is a new place, and it ain't Applebees. Give it a chance to grow!

Décor and food quality super .However. waite staff and servers are so uptight it intefers with the dinning experience. Management needs to chill out and let the servers relax. An uptight staff leads to uptight diners

PROS: First and foremost: THE SERVICE was absolutely exceptional. Everyone, not just our own server, had their eye out for dirty dishes, refills, etc. It was a luxury not common in Murfreesboro, and it was the main reason that we will go back again. LOVE THE DECOR. Really love the high windows, because there is zero chance of glare from sunlight on the windows of the cars in the parking lot where we were seated. We really enjoyed the stone wall with the barrels and fireplace. And the single gaslight we saw is a nice departure from other restaurants which overuse the gaslights, resulting in a heavy smell to the indoor air. Thought the MENU HAD LOTS OF INTERESTING CHOICES for us. I know some feel it is too limited but I found several things I would like to go back and try. ALMOST-CONS: I had the Asian Chicken Salad. The greens were very fresh and the dressings were delish. When I squeezed the wedge of lime on it, WOW! But the shredded chicken was VERY CHEWY and was REFRIGERATOR-COLD, which I would never have anticipated. When a manager stopped by to ask how the meal was, I wasn't able to answer for an awkward amount of time because it took so long to chew the bite I had in my mouth. She assured me she eats it often and it was supposed to be that way, which is why I wouldn't dream of ordering it again. As my husband tried to tell her his thoughts on his salad, she was apparently called away via the headphone she was wearing. To her credit, she offered to comp. my lunch, though we declined. My husband had the Blackened Salmon Salad. It was blackened-seasoned, not blackened as in seasoned and then cooked on an ultra-hot pan to sear the outside. Both dishes had a generous portion of meat in them, I have to say. CONS: Either they are using ultra-scented handsoap for the staff, or else (more likely) one of the servers donned his favorite cologne before reporting to work today -- a faux pas no professional in the food service industry should ever make. There was one server who kept passing our table and his scent overpowered the aroma of my meal each time he walked by. Wrapping up with ONE MORE PRO, because the service really was impeccable. I asked that cilantro be left off my salad where possible. The server stopped back at our table to let me know there was a little mixed into one of the salad ingredients. I was very impressed that she followed up with me when my request had been qualified with a "where possible." We found a couple of things on the menu to go back and try.

We had lunch there for our company Xmas party. The food was awesome. Big helpings! The staff was a little slow filling drinks. I will defiantly eat there again. Just might want to remind staff to remember the small details count.

One of the best restaurants in Murfreesboro. We dined 1/8/15. They have a unique menu, amazing food, and wonderful service. We loved the quirky atmosphere, but the food was the real highlight. We tried a variety; Ham and Cheese Ball sandwich, Caribbean swordfish, peanut butter bacon burger, and steak. The whole family was happy. We will definitely be back. Oh...and Matthew, the server...we couldn't have been better served!

Menu very limited compared to a typical steak house. Service is okay. Staff is friendly.

The place looks nice inside and out. The staff was very nice but still in training so no point off for them. But if the food does not get better this place is dead. Me and my wife ordered the fried pork-chop it was a over pounded thin chop. This caused the ends to over cook. Also it was kinda hard to find the meet since it was so thin. The cheese Quinoa was not very cheese aside from color. Lacked salt over spiced with what had to be jalapeño juice. Very boring. My 6yo's kids burger was not very kid friendly looked just like reg burger. She took one bite and said it tasted funny. Did not taste it myself but she did not eat it. My son got chicken tinders he did not eat them cuz they were kinda big. Looked more like a adult size tinder just to big for a little kid. On the bright side they were very tasty. O and you read all this then ill let you know a secret they dont tell you till it comes to your table after they open it and drop it off. The cokes are 1.25 each and come with a high ball glass. So odd, who does that? Anyway order tea or water you get refills. So dumb no refills, fast food places give you a drink with free refills for only $1. Really guys this was so very lame. And then to try and pass it off as some kind of MX coke.... Really? LoL what a joke. Its not fancy. Its just a coke.

Being generous with 2 stars. Hope they can turn it around. Food was very mediocre. Food is along the lines of food served at a hotel banquet, meh, why bother? Draft beers were slightly skunky. Bartender/waitress was fine. Nice enough atmosphere but food at that price point is a huge let down. We see no reason to drive past the Chop House to eat here.

The food was good, but the service was absolutely terrible. We were told it was a 30 minute wait. Ended up being an hour wait and even at that time we had to sit out side to be seated. They then offered 2 free appetizers for the wait only to wait another 40 minutes to order. Asked for a water and a napkin. Didn't get it. Had to ask the manager for it. Had to ask another waiter to take our order. He took our order. They said they would bring us a free dessert for the trouble only to see them take it to another table and never got the dessert. We were over it at that point and didn't want it. Then waited forever to get our check only to have the hostess get our check. Food decent. Service HORRIBLE! Worst I have ever had in the Boro...

My family has been a fan of Demos' for many years, so we were excited to try the newest offering by a well-known Murfreesboro restaurant family. However, we were mightily disappointed. I feel the need to walk you through our entire experience in order to fully explain why we were not impressed. Beginning with the front door situation. There is no clear direction as to which side the door is located, leading to some confusion. Then we were seated and the waiter, who was very friendly, brought us water glasses and a carafe with which to refill. Nice touch. But then it continues to go downhill. My husband ordered the sirloin. He said it tasted boiled. This is particularly disappointing because the owner of this restaurant also owns a restaurant that makes a delicious steak. I ordered the portebello chicken. It came to the table without the portebello cream sauce that sold it on the menu. They did bring it out after, but really? I made no alterations to this dish, it should have come out properly. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. My older son ordered the chicken tenders. Probably the best thing at the table. My younger son ordered the cheeseburger and it came to him without CHEESE! Again, it was listed as a cheeseburger on the menu, this was not an addition. It was also incredibly greasy. Even my 7 year old thought it was gross. Now for the decor. Honestly, it felt like all the current Pinterest clichés threw up a restaurant. Random whiskey barrels, check. Copper penny floor, check. Food served in mason jars, check. It doesn't feel authentic, it feels forced. Like the sign out front comparing the restaurant opening to Kim Kardashian's marriage. It reminds me of the particular brand of awkward that comes when your mom tried to look "hip" in front of your friends. Honestly, I hope this place finds it's groove and stops feeling like it's trying so hard.

It was the best steak I've eaten in Murfreesboro. Our server Tucker brought back to life to a disappointing service industry. He generally cared about his job you can tell. My wife had the salmon and it was amazing! Go check them out and ask for Tucker he will take great care of you.

It takes a lot for me to just bash a restaurant, so I am not going to go there. The service is way less than average. The food is way below what I expected. I am not even sure how someone messes up two very simple dishes. Chicken Quesadilla, and a Philly Steak sandwich. I figure if you can not get the basics right, then I am not sold. Also kind of gross seeing one of the cooks there chewing tobacco.

Had a very tasty hamburger with excellent sweet potato fries. Service was good and the atmosphere was dark, cozy and inviting. Can't wait to go back and try something else especially since the prices are not high. Excellent addition to the upcoming very popular area.

I really liked this place. The menu puts small twists on traditional foods. I had the Mediterranean Pork Loin and baked potato. The pork loin was cooked perfect. The potato was a little undercooked. I loved the decor and the waiter was very attentive. I would definitely go back.,

I happened upon Peter D's with some colleagues while in Murfreesboro for a week of training. This is one of the few bright spots to eat in the area (Medical Center Pkwy area). During the week we ate breakfast here once, lunch twice and dinner three... okay maybe four times (if you count the night we just went for drinks). ;) Even though we tried other nearby places - the pizza shop and a nearby Indian restaurant - we always returned to Peter D's. For an hour lunch break the servers were spot on. Lunch was out in a jiffy, was cooked well/temp, very tasty and the service was awesome! Let me try that last part again - The WAIT STAFF WAS AWESOME. They really worked together well, had positive attitudes and they kind of gave off a family vibe (kidding with each other, etc.) The wait staff treated patrons even better. They were friendly but didn't linger so long at your table that it became awkward. Hey, we have all had those experiences! All in all, by the end of the week my new colleagues had become new friends, and I can thank Peter D's for that! :) We felt like we tried just about every item on their menu and not one item was a let down. I know I'm forgetting several delish items but here's a few to name: Food Favs from the group: Sweet potato fries Soup Caprese salad Pork chops! Blackened salmon Dessert: Nutella mousse - pretty good Deconstructed bread pudding - ohmigosh this behemoth can be shared between at least 3 people.

By far the BEST meal I've had in awhile! I had the "D's Catch of the Day" which was the Asian Sea Bass - YUM O!!! To top off our meal, our server, Jessica, was AWESOME!!! I have to say, Peter D's knows customer service as well as delicious food! Overall, the ambiance, food, service is top notch! I would definitely recommend this place to people. Very reasonable on their prices, too.

Peter Ds is an interesting place to eat. The Rueben bites are really delivcious as appetizers. I can almost make a meal out of them. I have been there sevral times and I have not found anything I didn't like. I typically like to dine outside. They have outside seating for the bar but not for dining.

MUST MUST MUST try the Ruben balls. We have been several times, steaks are perfect, fish is excellent, bartenders are very knowledgeable and even pair up drinks with dinner. Staff is excellent.

My wife and I went there on a date. They have very good drinks and drink specials. Bourbon special on Sat. night make it worth it. The food was average maybe a little above. The service was ok. My wife went there for breakfast once. I heard the breakfast is the time to go there. I will have to try that some time and report back.

  • Brandon H.

This review is for the breakfast. I love the omelettes and the potatoes! This is one of the best breakfasts in Murfreesboro. The service here has got to be the best of any place Ive ever been. The entire staff waits on you, not just your particular server. This is an outstanding practice!

This place is actually pretty good. Kind of hard to find good restaurants outside of downtown Nashville, so I was waiting for this place to open. My boyfriend and I had tried to come here a couple times but the wait time was always crazy so we were never able to try it, until this past Saturday night. We got there around 8:30, which I think is why there was no wait time. But even that late in the evening, there were still quite a few people. Our waiter (terrible with names, but he had long hair and his wrist was wrapped up like it was sprained or something) was excellent! Very friendly, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive throughout the night. All day on Saturdays they have half off bottled beer and half off "brown" drinks (whiskey, bourbon, and something else I can't remember) which is a pretty good deal, considering a Jack and Coke was only like $3 after the discount. We opted for the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla for the appetizer, which was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but still good. For my entree I went with the Reuben since a lot of people had mentioned that it was one of the best things on the menu. I was pretty impressed. I've had quite a few Reubens in my time and the main problem is that the whole sandwich can become a little greasy and soggy. Definitely not the case with this one, which was great. Meat was tender, and the homemade Reuben sauce is excellent. Had sweet potato fries on the side, which were also good. My boyfriend got the Panko Crusted Blue Cheese Burger, which he really enjoyed and had a lot of good things to say about it. Overall, this place is pretty good and it's nice to have something a little closer to home rather than traveling to downtown. I'd like to try the brunch they have at some point, so I'm sure I'll be back here again.

The blue chees toast A+++ I'm from buffalo so I love blue cheese. I had a mushroom chicken is was good. The gravy that came with it was amazing. However the cheese grits were nothing to write home about. We had their summer dessert strawberry shortcake. I thought it was quite good but my mom thought the strawberries were funny.

This place is so great. I live in the Nashville area now, but I come to Murfreesboro just to eat at this place. I've probably visited Peter D's 10 + times, and everytime I do the food is wonderful, as is the service. All of the employees are well trained and super friendly, unlike The Goat restaurant across the street. The Ugly Chick sandwich here will blow your mind, I could eat only this everyday for the rest of my life. I really can't say enough about what a great establishment this is. Give it a go if you haven't done so.

This restaurant has some very creative items on the menu, and the decor is excellent. Be sure to look closely at the sandwich choices as there are tons of excellent options. The prices are reasonable, but not as cheap as some other options of similar quality. I recommend the burgers/sandwiches. I wasn't a fan of their ribs.

Huge menu, quality food. The Demos family sure noes the Resturant mark and they consistently starve for perfection.

This is our first visit to Peter D's, My wife and I. The atmosphere is upscale yet casual with rich wood accents and Old English lighting. It's a very inviting ambience, warm, social, similiar to an English tavern without the noise. Our server, Miriah, greeted us very promptly and was extremely knowledgeable, polite and did a fantastic job of guiding us to some of her favorite dishes. Miriah's attention to detail during service was impeccable and on par with a 5 star restaurant professional. We choose at Miriah's guiding the Ruben Omelet and the Cherry Cheese Blintz, with a side of 1 egg and bacon. The Ruben Omelet was outstanding. A wonderful mix of flavors that complimented each so well we are already planning on coming back a second time for the Ruben sandwich alone. The Ruben sauce is by far the absolute best we've tasted in the Nashville area. The Cherry Cheese Blintz was rich, delicate and absolutely delicious! The egg was cooked perfectly and the bacon was thin and perfectly crispy. This has been a very welcome surprise and our new favorite place for breakfast. So much so, we've already made plans to come back and try lunch and dinner. The prices are very reasonable, with the highest priced lunch at $10 and the most expensive dinner item is $27 for a Cowboy Cut Ribeye. Portion sizes are more than adequate, even a bit on the large side. We highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Miriah, she provided the best service experience in the Boro. A side note: a second server, Tucker came by to clear the table and educated us on the different drinking specials throughout the week. Needless to say, with 2 glasses of wine bought, buys the bottle, We plan to be here on Wed! Bon Apetit!

  • Allen M.

Excellent food, but a bit pricey. They have a very eclectic menu, and the quality that the Demos family is known for is definitely there. A lunch for three with no app or dessert came in at $75.00 before tip. It was a wonderful lunch and the service was great.

I was really looking forward to eating here and I found it to be mostly fairly good. We started with a nachos and salsa appetizer and were very pleases with that. The chips were hot and fresh and there were two types of salsa also very fresh. I ordered the ribeye and my wife the grilled chicken salad. I ordered it just under medium and it was closer to rare and kind of tough. An okay steak. The baked potato was small but good. My salad was just dropped off at the table while we were eating our appetizer. Wish they had waited. My wife said the salad was very good and the chicken was very good also. They have an okay wine and beer collection and a lengthy mixed drink menu. The service was excellent and very friendly. We didn't go during a busy time so had several workers stop by our table. Overall it was okay and most likely will try it again.

  • Jen O.

This place is decent but doesn't get a 5 due to their weird soft drink no refill policy. The peanut butter sandwich with cinnamon toast crunch was amazing but I feel like I need to try this place a few times (especially for brunch) before I come back and write a more detailed review. From going there one time, I will say I prefer Demos. Peter D's is definitely worth a try though. The atmosphere is pretty neat.

Service was soooooo bad at the goat my friend took us here instead. AWESOME, I can't remember what sandwich I had but it reminded me of Thanksgiving day. Turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce. I was pretty sauced up myself when we came in and the waitress was very patient, kind, and energetic toward me even though I probably gave her several reasons not to be. Haha. Good job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

    (5)
  • Jessee M.

I had an AMAZING burger here. The peanut butter bacon burger was perfect. Well cooked and just the right amount of Thai peanut sauce to add flavor. Loved it. Also, don't go there without trying the Reuben appetizer! It's like a fritter of heaven with some killer sauce. Service is also very attentive. I've never been offered beer refills so many times in my life.

  • Mindy J.

2 words: Reuben Fritters!!! One of the greatest sandwiches of all time, fried up in a little ball of deliciousness. This place is great. Nice little change to the monotony of chain restaurants in the Boro. AND it's owned by Peter Demos, so you know it's going to be good food at good prices. As for the unsatisfied reviewers, and the complaints on the way the serve their drinks,... Who cares. Drink water. It's different for a reason, and I've been several times and have never had a bad meal there. And as far as the reviews about the price,... It's actual quality food. Not the crap you find at Chili's or Logan's, or any other mundane chain restaurant. I feel like the reviewers that are leaving bad remarks would be those type of people that complain about everything, run their servers to death, and then leave without tipping.

  • Steve E.

So I just ate the best steak in Murfreesboro, the Cowboy Ribeye, followed closely by wife's NY strip. I dare you to find a better steak in Murfreesboro. Death by Quinoa cake is the best dessert in the Boro as well. If you need free refills of Sodas, go elsewhere. If you don't recognize the quality of Mexican cokes and why they have to charge for them, have fun at Logan's. If you have taste buds and aren't trying out for the Diabetes Olympics, this place is excellent!!

  • Jon F.

Dear Lord...this place is INCREDIBLE. The wait for service is ALWAYS long, but you won't regret sitting for an hour, because once meal time comes, the waitstaff see to it that you have the fastest, friendliest, and all around best service in Murfreesboro, no exaggerations here. I've had burgers and other sandwich fare from here before and every time my appetizers come out HOT with the drinks. Then 7 minutes later at the MAX, they have your food. Waiters are friendly, engage you, and keep you happy! Service means everything to me and this place does it best!

    (5)
  • Brendan M.

Local restaurant with amazing food. Won't get the same kind of food anywhere else. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. D's Reuben was the best Reuben I've ever had. My wife had the Ugly chic which was amazing. Don't skip over this place. We almost did and are very happy we stopped in!

Ordered the Panko Encrusted blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries. Burgers made in house come out with little pink to well done. I requested pink....came out well done. :\ however flavor of grilled burger was good. Could not find the POP of blue cheese at all in the 1 in thick panko brick of cheddar mozzarella. There is supposedly a blue cheese sauce in there somewhere...no hint of it. Burger was good but if looking for that GREAT STRONG blue cheese flavor don't expect it, did enjoy the spice dill pickles used on the burger. Sweet potato fries were not exceptional but when one had a healthy amount of their signature seasoning it was above par. Over all 4 stars for this meal...our server/bar tender Taylor was awesome very communicative and responsive to needs. Still like coming here favorite dish still is reuben fritters!

  • Jason B.

I really do not see how this new derivation of the same formula from Demos' can expect to charge the prices they do. It is definitely overpriced heavy and nothing really unique. I would have liked to look at the menu more but the mood lighting, or as I call it the poor lighting, made it difficult to read.

    (2)
  • Adam R.

Peter D's was a little hoity-toity for my taste. The service was decent, wait time decent, prices though left much to be desired. It's like they want to make top notch food, but it just ends up being small over-priced portions. The flavor is not bad, but not great/memorable either. You are much better off going to Demos'.

    (4)
  • Leigh M.

I love the fact that they serve the better tasting coke in glass bottles. It also cracks me up that idiots who don't read the menu complain about it. Stick to McDonalds if you need a gallon of soda with your meal :)

Excellent flavor! The Delmonico steak and Fruit tea were incredible. The Thai Chicken Quesadilla is a good and different than normal appetizer. I thought they do a good job with their catch of the day as well.

Delicious food at great prices! Spectacular service. Everyone here is so nice. They have a bit of an odd menu, but just try it. You won't be disappointed. Get the fried Reuben bites as an appetizer! I don't think that is exactly what they're called.. but it is something like that. Phenomenal.

I'm not sure why the place has such low ratings. The food was fresh and you can tell the ingredients are higher quality than other places. The drinks were a little pricey, but they were well-poured and tasty. Our server was attentive and personable. Give it a try - we like supporting local and this place is good!

Place just opened so if you come anytime soon be prepared to see some waiters being trained. I knew they would have some minor things to work on but other than that our experience was great. Atmosphere: They aimed to make it feel like an upscale atmosphere and they succeeded. Luckily the prices weren't matching an upscale restaurant so that's another plus. Service: the service was absolutely amazing. Out waiter had several shadows but he was outstanding. Our order was taken and our food came out quickly. Food: we had the buffalo chicken quesadillas as an appetizer but it could've easily fit as an entrée. (portion was big) My girlfriend got the ugly chick sandwich which she loves and I got the Mediterranean pork tenderloin which was cooked very well however it was somewhat greasy but nothing absurd. We ended it with the Nutella chocolate mousse which was absolutely fantastic. I'm not a fan of rich desserts but it is a definite must try. Overall: whether you're a fan of the sister restaurant Demo's or not this is a must try!

We arrived at 8pm and we're seated at 8:25pm. The cocktails were okay, but the menu asks patrons to "build your own." Our server wasn't helpful. The server spit out the menu so quickly that I couldn't follow. The swordfish was hard on the outside and nearly raw inside. My wife's steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. The salad was meh. I thoroughly enjoyed the blue cheese toast, which leads me to believe this place would be a great lunch spot. It's beautifully decorated! The execution unfortunately isn't there for a dinner spot. Honestly, I felt it was "high society" for people who don't know any better. The menu seems to fall short of classy and a step above trashy...and the bill at the end was about 3x what it was worth.

Lucas Reviewed - Highlight Date Night / Girls Night - This place has trendy written all over it. The first impression will capture you. Great service and attentiveness. Consistently good food and patio seating is comfortable. What else? The prices line up with the service, quality of food and the portions are exactly what I would expect. Professionalism is constant and the atmosphere will allow for a good conversation with your company. The Hmmm ??? Popular nights like Friday and Saturday bring a dense crowd and this place fills up. I would suggest sticking to the beginning and middle of the week. Trisha, You've obviously never worked in the service industry by your silly write up. And what do you expect when you have 11 people with separate checks.....dummy. Examples of "Cheddars, & Outback", really? Your credibility just went downhill quickly. Maybe McDonalds would be a better choice for you and your friends. Hopefully people can sniff out your obvious lack of experience in dining out.

Disappointed. So so disappointed. I came to Peter D's tonight with my boyfriend to try it out. We knew it just opened and have been wanting to try it every time we passed by the Avenue. We were so excited but sadly, that was short lived. When we got there, we were placed in the patio area and ordered drinks and nachos. They were pretty busy and told us that we would get our table once they slowed down. Ok, no big deal. However, they had one waitress on the patio which meant that the service was slow as snails. The nachos came out and were lackluster. Seriously, canned chili, cheddar cheese, some lettuce, some jalapenos, and sour cream. Nothing special and nothing to write home about. My boyfriend ate a jalapeno so we asked for water...well, we never got the water. Eventually, our cocktails came. I ordered a pineapple mojito (or something of that sort) and it tasted like straight up pineapple juice. Again, we asked for water. In the middle of the appetizer, our buzzer rang and it was time to go to our table. Our waitress offered to help us but she was so busy waiting other tables that she couldn't. So, I carried our cocktails and nachos to our table. Great. We got to our table and at that point, we still wanted our water...so we asked a third time for it. Lo and behold, it came about five minutes later and at that point, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. We were both pretty angry about the fact that I had to keep asking for WATER and the fact that the restaurant seemed to be extremely understaffed - oh and the food/drinks weren't good. The only reason I'm giving Peter D's one star is because the two waitresses we had were so sweet. They could tell that we weren't happy about our situation and tried their best - but they were just too busy. I'm not sure I'll be coming to Peter D's again but if I do, it'll be a while.

A group of us were searching for a relaxing place to have dinner with a nice atmosphere and great food. We stopped at Peter D's and hit the jackpot! Our food was great and the service by Mariah was fantastic. The menu is has lots of variety with some unique twists. Everything was awesome. I highly recommend Peter D's!!!

Well my initial check in was accurate the staff is under trained and to be honest a little strange, it took 10 minutes for the get little cups of ketchup instead of a bottle. Either way the food is really good and we will return.

Probably the best salmon I ever had in my life, must get it blackened. It's a must try!! Chessy potato soup was amazing as well. Place is very nice, staff was extremely friendly. I also had the "Village punch" to drink, very delicious and refreshing.. I will be back again!! .. Only down fall was the apple martini that my mother ordered but besides that we all had a great experience :)

I went here for the first time while on a girls night out with my mom and sister. First off I noticed the decor. It's definitely going for that prohibition 1920's contraband feel. It's very nice inside and has a great atmosphere! The service was good and the hostess was very helpful in letting us move from a table to a booth since we had a toddler with us. The food was very good! The highlights of the meal for me were the bacon creme sauce which can be requested for the steaks or for the pork chops, the lime glaze & black bean salsa topping on the swordfish steak, the mushroom grill appetiser (fantastic!) and the Nutella mousse dessert. Also, in keeping with the theme they have a great liquor list for this area. My husband would absolutely appreciate their list. I would absolutely go back and next time take my husband!

Until tonight, your NY Strip was the best in town. First time way under cooked. Sent it back and it was way over cooked. Manager cooked it the third time and not only was it cooked too much again but it did not have the flavor I had come to expect after having it many many times over the past year. Thank you for taking care of this. My server was great, however.

If I had to say anything bad about this place, I'd say that the non-refillable soda is ridiculous. For goodness sakes! This is the 21st century ... I have 2 words for you -- Fountain Drinks! I like the little retro bottles, but give refills. My teenage son doesn't like tea, coffee or water, and he feels crazy drinking lemonade.

I love this restaurant! They make reuben fritters that are freakin fantastic. Everything I've had is delicious. The Ugly Chicken, the Reuben, the peanut butter burger, all delicious. I've only been to dinner there once but I've been to lunch several times and have yet to try breakfast. It is a little pricey for what you get food wise but given the whole of the experience I think it is right on. I was skeptical about the new venture but Peter knocked it out. Same level of service as Demos' but the food and vibe are totally different and totally cool. Great job guys!!

New place, learned it's been open for just over a month or so. The deco and theme was really neat, sort of a farm house/distillery type feel. The menu is diverse enough to satisfy just about anyone, typical bar fare with a twist on most dishes. I had a what would normally be a "black and bleu burger". It was outstanding! Healthy burger patty, topped with a Panko crusted bleu and cheddar cheese patty, all topped off with some Cajun spiced bacon. Really a flavorful unique sandwich. Accompanied by shoe string fries that had a nice seasoning as well. Bar selection is pretty expansive as far as liquor, 5 beers on tap, one local, about the same in bottles. All in all a really great experience, I gave it 4/5 because I did witness the bartender make several errors that he apologized for with other people. One of the managers John came and chatted with me for a while which was a nice touch as well. Certainly would recommend, seems like they are still working out the wrinkles of a newer business.

The only "pro" I have is that our food came out in a timely manner. Otherwise, I'm going to bore everyone with the "cons." First, we were a party of two. They sat us in the middle of the room at a table that could seat 8. A little awkward and hated that we took up a table from a bigger family that was probably waiting. I was hugely disappointed with the glass bottles of coke. I enjoy going to a restaurant and having unlimited refills. We don't drink soda at home and really enjoy the "luxury" when we eat out. I'm not paying $1.25 for each coke that I want to drink with my meal. That's ridiculous. I had water. The food was average. I must admit, I was disappointed. I expected better menu choices. I don't understand the upscale atmosphere and decor when you only serve burgers and chicken tenders. We had to ask for ketchup three times because they only give you a small cup. I completely understand not wanting any waste....but, again - you serve French fries and chicken tenders! People don't want to ask for ketchup three times during their meal. I know this place just opened, so I'm hoping they will take note of their customer's reviews. It has potential, but we won't be returning any time soon.

I have been to Peter Ds twice. My first experience included their 3 pigs & a chicken sandwich. It was HUGE and good. I had to take most of it home. They have shoe string fries which I always prefer. The second time I went I had a sandwich called the PB Extreme. This was a peanut butter, banana, with bacon (yes I said bacon) with honey and cinnamon. It was delicious....and messy....but delicious.

After an amazing steak last night we went back tonight! Logan was our server and did an awesome job! Although my steak wasn't quite medium he handled it quickly and a new steak was out in only a few minutes. The patio is a great place to enjoy a steak and watch a game on 2 60" TVs. We will be back next year during our conference!

We won't be back. If you'd like to know why, read on... First I'll say that our waiter was pretty friendly and although slow, was far from the main thing that turned us all off to this place. Second, the food was "meh"... Okay enough, but nothing you can't get anywhere else just as good or better without all the hassle. Id rather go to Logan's, Cheddars, Outback, or even Red Robin (if I want a burger) before this place. We were there tonight for my sister-in-laws birthday, so there was a bunch of us. We got the long narrow table that sat between the waiting area and the bar. That was a bit uncomfortable simply because we were like the center of attention. All the other diners were much more privately located! Although there were 11 of us, 3 chairs weren't in use. Just after we sat down, a couple came over and tried to sit at the end of our table. My sister-in-law was trying to be polite and kind of said alright, but it was not a "community" table and we had our stuff (Bday gifts and the thick bulky menus, extra glasses etc) sitting there. I was nice but made it clear the answer was no. About half way through our meal, the waiter asked again if it was okay if someone sat there... Again I was the bad guy and said no. We were there celebrating and wanted at least a little bit of privacy. The extra people would have been a definite intrusion and I thought it was extremely inappropriate to even ask. Trust me, they weren't that busy! The drinks... They tried to explain that in order to give us "quality" drinks, they choose to serve them in bottles at "low" prices with no free refills. Each tiny bottle (half the size of a regular bottle of soda) came with a near shot glass sized glass filled with ice. They charged $1 a bottle. I can get a two liter of Dr Pepper at Kroger for a $1.50. They need a soda machine! It's not quality service to serve a tiny bottle of soda and give us a tiny glass to drink it out of, it's cheap and obviously trying to rake out every last penny they can. If I ever had any intension of going back, Id order water and bring my own tiny bottles of soda in my purse! Not only is it inappropriate and rude to serve drinks that way, the little bottles take up a lot of room on the very narrow table they had us at! We had glasses and soda bottles everywhere! The ones who didn't want to pay a $1 for an 8oz soda got water. Same tiny glasses but they were empty! Then they bring out these tall delicate very narrow water "pitchers" of room temp water. They would fill about a glass and a half of a normal sized glass. The waiter said they weren't allowed to bring out ice or put ice in the pitcher. But we insisted, so he brought everyone one more tiny empty glass, but added ice. Since everyone had already poured water in the glasses with no ice, everyone then had two glasses each, plus the people who had a glass and a bottle. It was soda bottles and glasses and glass pitcher chaos! So very unprofessional! The food, as I said, was "okay", but nothing to rave about. With all the hassle of getting condiments which took forever, refills that had to be asked for over and over again, all the extra glasses and soda bottles, and half the steaks people ordered extremely undercooked, it wasn't worth the little bit of good food there was. I would much rather go eat somewhere that has better food, cooked right, with no hassle and have a normal drink. And - without the oh so obvious undercutting to make a profit. When the place makes it "slap in the face" obvious they are serving you less for more money and yet telling you it's for better quality, it's pretty presumptuous and again, rude. The bills! Half our bills were correct, half were wrong! I don't mean a little bit off... I mean wrong! After we were done with our meals and had plates removed and ate a birthday cake we brought ourselves, we still waited nearly 15 mins just to get our wrong bills. Then another 10 mins to get the corrected ones. The bills should be made out before the end of the meal. We certainly shouldn't have had to wait that long, especially when we gave them extra time by not having to wait on us while we did the birthday thing! The place looks somewhat high end, but it's not! The layout sucks, the service is questionable, the bills were wrong, the food was average, there was a bug in the salt shaker, the way they serve drinks is rude (let's put it this way... The have very upscale menus and disposable napkins with their name printed on them in the bathroom, but they can't afford a soda machine and ice for the water? They need better priorities!), and no, not a single one of the 11 of us will ever be back. This is my review because I don't think anyone else in my party is on yelp. But consider this 11 reviews in 1. This place won't be open much longer. If you want to spend $50 on a meal for two where the service is good and the food outstanding, go to Cheddar's - or really - anywhere else.

Wow! Didn't know people could be so picky looking at the reviews. Had to write a review because this place is awesome. It could be called awesome just off the pork sandwich alone. Only dropping it by one start due to the restaurant only takes parties of six or smaller. Peter D's has it all. Great variety, clean and relaxed atmosphere, and the service is hands down the best in Murfreesboro. Our party of four all had different entrees and all four of us were beyond pleased with the meal.

Great food and great a service!! Excellent atmosphere too. We had a large party and they accommodated us quickly. Loved it! From the appetizer to the dessert it was delicious. The Delmonico steaks are amazing.

Tried Peter Ds tonight for the first time. Overall it was an average experience, good atmosphere/decor, average service, average food, and not a very impressive menu selection. The first impression was really good, but it slowly went downhill from there. I really liked the decor, the use of stone as well as the Jack Daniels barrels, nice hardwood floors, and unique lighting hanging above each table. Service started strong but by the end of the meal we were searching for our waiter. My wife was asked if she would like some ketchup for her fries, they offered before she ever asked, but then took two different people over 10 minutes before she actually got any (then she got two). Menu was a little disappointing, nice design, but menu selections were less than what I was expecting. Not sure how to explain it but there seemed to be a lack of good menu selections to match the type if atmosphere around you. My wife is a steak eater, but there was no filet available which is usually what she prefers. I am a seafood or poultry person usually, was not impressed with the seafood selections (salmon, tilapia, but no tuna, shrimp/scallops, sea bass, or similar selections I would expect from an upscale type of restaurant) but selected the portobello chicken per the waiters recommendation. It was good, juicy, not dry like a lot of chicken is served these days. As a side I selected coleslaw and was quite disappointed, way too creamy not light a refreshing like slaw is usually. Overall, not bad, not great, and it will probably be a while before I go back.

Went to Peter D's and sat at the bar. Jenn, the bartender, was outgoing and attentive. The food was really outstanding! This was my first visit but I will definitely be coming back. The smoked pork chop is worth the 5 hour drive to Murfreesboro

Great service. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. Paid 9 dollars for an over worked chicken sandwich with fries at lunch. For me, the prices are too high and the food is over thought or over worked. Simplifying and cutting prices could improve the profit margins in my opinion and make it more accessible to customers.

Well, there's been a lot of hype about Peter D's opening here in the Boro, and while it's a perfectly acceptable restaurant, it didn't really live up to expectations. For being a new restaurant with a big build up to opening seating was actually fairly quick. Appetizers and cocktails were on the pricey side. While the entrees seemed reasonably priced the sandwiches also were a bit on the high side, though, to be fair, they are pretty decent sized sandwiches. The Tilapia with Thai sesame chili sauce was good, though didn't really stand out from other offerings of tilapia in town. My wife had The Ugly Chick, a chicken sandwich with goat cheese and bacon, which should be pretty good, but wound up being nothing to write home about. And really, that sums up the entire experience; it was ok, but nothing to write home about.

My wife and I just had breakfast here. All I can say is amazing! Our waitress, Emily, was great, as was the rest of the staff (making sure all empty glasses and old dishes were refilled and picked up quickly.) The food was awesome. We both had omelets, which is most of their breakfast menu. They had about every different kind you could think of. I had the reuben! Excellent! It's not the cheapest, but well worth the money.

Took the family here last night to try it out. FYI they are closed on Sundays! anyways.... son ordered the sirloin, daughter ordered the buffalo chicken enchiladas, hubby had the chili burger, and I had the regular burger. We also ordered the nachos for an app. Nachos were YUMMY. Food was good nothing to hoop and holler about but it was good. The way the drinks were served was a bit odd....order a coke you get a small class of ice with a small bottle of coke ($1 per bottle, no free refills on cokes) Water comes with a empty small glass and a tall skinny pitcher of water. No ice, although the water comes cold it doesn't take long for the water to become room temp. The atmosphere is laid back but nice. We will probably be back but probably wont be any time soon, just didn't wow us which isn't good for their location considering they have a ton of restaurants around them that we would much rather dine at.

Not a fan. We were told the wait was 25-30 mins....more like an hour. Once sat we ordered our food...nearly 30 mins later our waitress invited the manager over to offer us a free appetizer due to long wait. We declined because our food showed up as the manager walked up. I had the Dirty Chicken sandwich IMO was awful. I ate fries. The waitress offered to get me something else but after all the problems, I wanted to go home and make a sandwich.

Went in with a few business friends. We were sat at a dirty booth. This business does not have fountain soda, almost airplane style bottles. We ordered the buffalo chicken nachos as recommended by the server. Chips were stale, cheese wasn't melted. Poor ingredients, and bad execution. If I hadn't been on business, I would have sent it back. We opted to not order dinner, after being rushed by our server to order. Won't be back.

Sad attempt at a High End resteraunt with mediocre food at best. Pricey as well, rather go to Chophouse or something along those lines. Service is slow, drinks are TINY, and it generally wasnt worth the time. Wanted to try it over one of my favorites Bar Loui near it, wish I had stayed with a proven mainstay.

This place has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in the Boro. I was a little reluctant to try. It look really pricey and when I learned it's related to Demos' I was sure I wouldn't like it. Demos' is an ok restaurant - bland service, cheap food. Peter D's is the opposite. We've been several times now and every thing tastes wonderful! Service is great, atmosphere is refreshingly elegant without being stuffy, and perfectly priced. Im surprised this restaurant is in the Demos' family because Peter D's gets it right every time. We look forward to going back! Oh! You MUST try the ruben fritters!!

I went here with my family the other night and it was superb! The drink menu has many intriguing options and I could hardly decide on just one. I finally decided on a bourbon cocktail that was out of this world (I can't remember the name...)! For appetizers we ordered the Reuben Fritters (OMG THIS IS HEAVEN) and the Blue Cheese Toast. Obviously the blue cheese toast is exactly what it sounds like, but somehow they made it not greasy and better than expected. Now for the Reuben Fritters. These things are addictive and one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. I dont understand why it is as good as it is, but man, you must go there and have 2 orders of these babies right now!! For my entreeI had the salmon. I actually looked at my boyfriend and said "this is the most perfectly cooked salmon I have ever seen" and I meant it. It was delicious, perfect, etc. Everyone else at the table reported enjoying their dishes immensely, but I couldnt look away from my salmon long enough to remember what they got. As for the people throwing a hissy fit because they dont have free refills. I personally think this is GREAT. None of us need free refills on soda. It is really bad for you. Buy a 2 liter and drink it at home if you are that dedicated, but giving a bad review to a great restaurant that is trying to save you from type 2 diabetes is unfair in my book. We had a blast and are going for lunch tomorrow!

Last night was the best yet, and I've enjoyed every visit to date. Had the Ugly Chick. One of the best things I've ever eaten...period. It had a wonderful combination of flavors. The staff was superb. Atmosphere is unlike anything in Murfreesboro. I'm a fan.

Peter D's service was great and the look of the place was fun and a bit upscale. The food was a little disappointing. I appreciate Peter Demos's whimsical take on the menu - but for me, it just didn't mesh. I tried the Ugly Chick sandwich with fries and didn't care for the sandwich. My cohort had the three pigs and a chicken sandwich, which consisted of a fried pork chop, bacon, ham and an egg on top. The portion was massive, hung over the plate and was beyond ridiculous. I love Demos's and I wish Peter and his venture much success. For me personally, I think the menu will be need to be tweaked a little before I have a desire to go back any time soon.

I'm giving this three stars because I'm still unsure of how I feel about this place. I went this past weekend with a couple of friends. My one friend picked it out because he goes to Murfreesboro a lot and I guess always passes it and wanted to try, and I like trying new places, so I didn't mind. The decor of this place is awesome. You can tell it's sort of trying to get the vibe of the prohibition era and/or a speakeasy, in a sense. I loved the darker, wooden atmosphere. The bar was really cool looking and all of the decorations on the wall. The only thing I didn't care for was that there was a waiting area right in the middle of the first room and you sit so close to people having their meals. It definitely feels weird. Friends and I got our table and we ordered water, which is so weird because they bring you out water in this skinny glass for the table to share and they give you smaller glasses to drink out of, also no ice. It was just so weird and not enough water. We probably went through like six of them. It also wasn't chilled water, either. That was very weird to me, but again, I was assuming they were trying to get a 1920s feel where they didn't use ice, etc. We ordered an appetizer, and had the waiter surprise us with one because we thought he'd give us the best recommendation. We had the Buffalo Nachos. I wasn't a fan. EXTREMELY salty and I could've made it at home. I definitely would never order those again. I wish he had given us the Reuben Fritters, which sounded better. OH! And their soda was so weird. They give you small glass bottles of coke that are $1.25 and you have to pay for each one, so basically, no refills. Although, the waiter was going to let my friend switch to sweet tea or something with no charge, which was nice. The service and people were really nice, too, which was a good thing. We order our food. I got the Mediterranean Pork Tenderloin, my friends got the Blackened Salmon Salad, and the Chicken Finger Platter. What threw me off is that the menu was so eclectic. I couldn't tell you what sort of cuisine it is because it was a mixture of everything and there was no real organization to the type of food they serve. But the food was brought out in a relatively decent time and it all looked good. My friends and I enjoyed our meal and I was definitely full by the end. I couldn't even finish mine. The baked potato I got with my meal was HUGE and they loaded it up with no extra cost. My friend's said his salmon cooked to perfection. And my other friend said that the chicken tenders were pretty good and he loved the coleslaw that came with it it. So all, in all, the main food was pretty good! However, I just felt like all of the food was extremely salty. The prices of this place were also very up and down. I was confused by them. Some prices were really good for what you were getting and other prices were ridiculous. I think that it definitely needs re-evaluated. For the food I got, I paid $11 for and that was worth it. But I know the dishes my friends got weren't worth their price. I think that this place is trying really hard to be something but they just missed the mark because they're unsure of what they want to be. I think if they had a better set up with the menu that matched the decor or vice versa, it would be better to understand and enjoy. I would go back and try something else, just to see if I still like it. I'm just definitely on the fence and would need another go-around.

I cant say anything about the food but high end without free refills on sodas??? My husband enjoys a coke during his meals. But not just one. He wants as much as he can have. We were seated at our table and as the server took our drink order we learned they serve sodas in bottles for $1.59. We did not expect that at all. Too bad because we had really been anxious to try it out...

Very impressed! Great burgers and chicken tenders! Decor is very modern with an upscale feel, and the wait staff is very courteous and prompt. Prices are very reasonable and the menu options are varied with a twist on the traditional offerings. Definitely a good addition to the Boro.

This place is as pretentious as the menu portrays. It's nice, visually. The service was good, but all the extra recommendations are not my thing. I usually don't need to know the servers favorite everything, but that's probably how they're trained, and he was a good server. Nice kid. There was only 2 other tables at 10pm on a Friday night, which should have been a deterrent. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Quesdilla, which, while being the best thing of the meal, was hardly "buffalo." The husband got the BBQ burger, it was good, and the cole slaw was a good compliment. The fries were okay, but shoestring isn't really high-end. I had the chicken fingers and they were really good, very peppery, but good. I ordered buffalo sauce at first, but I had to send it back as it was DISGUSTING. He brought me BBQ and it was also DISGUSTING. They're trying too hard in all the wrong places, it seems. Wasn't impressed, and probably won't be back. We will stick to Demo's.

Was really looking forward to this place opening... Was quiet disappointed. No refills on soda is a bummer. For upscale dining, the food quality isn't quite there. We'll give it another try when they've had time to perfect their systems.

Cozy and clean, warm welcome, fast seating. Do not offer fountain drinks, only by the bottle. No ice water. Salads did not come with the entrée which all seemed all over priced. I had the ribs which were of a nice portion but dry, bland, and membrane was left on. Fries were great. Wife had the pork tenderloin which was good. Probably will not return due to value. Need a pasta dish.

  • Sharon H.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch for the first time. He had the chicken fingers and slaw. The chicken fingers were real chicken tenders and delicious. The slaw was good and slightly different than the norm. I had a wedge salad. The lettuce was fresh, the blue cheese dressing was perfect. The ambiance was nice, the place want overly loud or echoey. The restrooms were very clean (always a plus in my book). The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I'll be back for sure.
