It was my first time going to Newks last year and now I find myself craving it all the time. This restaurant is full of soup, salad, sandwich, and pizza options. In addition to that they have some tasty looking cakes on display, but I have yet to try one. It's really good for combos like soup and salad or salad and sandwich. You can basically combine the things that you want in a smaller sized portion. All of the things that I've tried from there have been delicious. I recommend the vegetarian club sandwich, it's one of the best veggie sandwiches I've ever had. Lobster & crab bisque soup is also excellent! They have different soups on different days so your options change from day to day. If you haven't been here I recommend this place for lunch!

This is a great place to grab a bite of quality food when you don't have a lot of time. Definitely a step up, as I had a soup and sandwich combo that was a half Shrimp Po'Boy sandwich and a cup of Lobster Bisque. The cashier was bright and cheery and was great to see when walking up to order. The menu is easy to read and is right there on the wall. The only issue I saw was a shortage of busboys. A lot of tables needed to be cleared so we were very limited in our choice of seats. The cashier ended up clearning tables when she had a break from taking orders. Be forewarned, this place gets crazy busy on weekends when the shoppers are out in force at The Avenue!

If you're craving a sandwich, soup, salad, or a light pizza, Newks is the place to go. I've had a lot of different items on their menu and every single one has been delicious. My favorite thing to order is the sandwich soup combo. The Newks Q sandwich and the lobster bisque soup are two of my favorites.

The food here is really good and comes out quick. This is a vegetarian friendly place and the staff is always very nice. I suggest the pimento cheese sandwich.

*it's only getting four stars because it can be a little pricey depending on what you get* However, the food is always delicious and very consistent every time my boyfriend and I come here. Generally we always speak with a younger male who always seems to be working the register every time we've been. He's very nice and always is helpful with good recommendations. I always enjoy the Caesar salad or lobster bisque and the portions are worth what you pay.

Good solid lunch place. Generally very good sandwiches, the club being my favorite. Salads are another highlight, particularly Newk's favorite. Pizzas are terrible, IMO. Solid, but not spectacular.

Thank you for the ginormous cups that I can refill with Diet Coke!! The salads are always fresh and covered in the perfect amount of salad dressing. "Newks Favorite salad" is my favorite, as well! It's an easy place to take my kids. They love the pepperoni pizza!

Had the Newk's q with Mac and cheese for dinner last night. It was wonderful as always! The people that work there are always very friendly as well. There were abunch of kids in the restaurant though so it was a little noisy.

Yum! YUm! YUM! YUMMY! So dont be deceived a Large salad here is enough to feed you for two or three meals. There pizzas are good, they are unique and they are not your run of the mill pizzas. Ohh the Sausage pizza is to die for so get that one But I am a salad girl and there are delicious and filling. Plus they let you gup on all the cheese croutons and unhealthy things you like with their cute little bar that has breadsticks LOVE them. Ya Yum! I take kids here and they love it even though its a little more gourmet pizza

I'm pretty in love with this place. I'm a regular at this specific location. I have a usual as well. The chicken sandwich with potato soup. I have yet to receive a not so tasty meal, or not so friendly service. I'd recommend this place for a quite night out. It's very relaxing. My boyfriend love to mix up and try something new each time. He loves everything that he has tried so far.

What can I say! I'm a sandwich gal, and Newk's satisfies that craving! I personally always get the turkey sandwich and the toasted bread, honey Dijon mustard, and all the rest of the goods make this place a keeper to me! Other family members of mine have got the chicken pesto pizza, the Newk's Q, and the Caesar salad and all are scrumptious!

I'd recommend the greek salad with chicken. I'd avoid this place when it's busy. More solid than Panera bread, and the pizzas are good too.

One of my favorite lunch spots in the boro. It helps that I get an Avenue employee discount when I'm working but it's still fantastic either way. I love the Newk's Q and the chicken tortilla soup! My mom said their Cobb salad this past weekend was excellent and the service is always fast & friendly!

I can't wait to come back. You order, get a number and take a seat. They will bring you your food when it is ready. I ordered the toasted turkey sandwich with coleslaw. It was fresh and tasty. The coleslaw is probably the best I have ever had. They also serve soup, salads, pizzas and homemade cakes.

Decently priced. Has outdoor seating and serves wine and beer. Casual environment to just grab a meal in between shopping. The menu has a variety of options. Nothing I've had has been a bad choice. It's always crowded with families but that's expected given the environment and location

Very good dinner spot if you're looking for a great sandwich, soup or pizza. Normally when I go, being the creature of habit that I am, I order the Grilled Steak Sandwich (which is excellent), but tonight I decided to venture out of my comfort zone a bit and try the Pesto Chicken Sandwich. Wow! I may have found my new favorite sandwich. The chicken was grilled to perfection and was moist without making the bread soggy, the pesto just made the whole sandwich explode with flavor, and the goat cheese on the sandwich added just the right amount of tangy creaminess to round things out. My wife had the same sandwich, and my 7-year old really liked the kids' cheese pizza. We'll definitely be coming back!

Went here my first time with a friend and loved the atmosphere. Really awesome to go in a sandwich shop and have the option to get wine and a beer as well as various sides with a sandwich besides just chips. Their pasta salad is awesome. I got the club sandwich and pasta salad, which was incredible. Went back today and got the club again (I know, boring) and they now have newer sides, including a macaroni and cheese. I didn't know they had it because it just started today so I got the exact same thing, but I have to say with all of the sides and cakes they have, it's pretty darn awesome. They have salads, all sorts of things you can order, and a salad fixing station in the middle where you can add stuff. Really cool place to go with a friend or to get a to-go order and be ultimately satisfied.

This restaurant is a favorite of my family. If you are looking for a good bowl of soup on a cold day, this is the place for you. My 9 year old son and I have tried several varieties and have never been disappointed. Crab bisque is a favorite of both of us, with a mildly spicy flavor. But honestly, even the mushroom soup is better than I expected, with large pieces of mushroom and a hearty base. The salads are fresh and crisp. My younger son loves the kids pizza. It is really good pizza, fit for anyone, not dumbed down in the expectation that children refuse to eat truly decent food. The service has always been friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is casual and pleasant. I highly recommend Newk's.

I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal here. It's a great place if you're looking for something good, but simple. Soups, sandwiches, homemade pizzas, and awesome thin bread sticks. Price is a little on the high side for what you get. The atmosphere is comfortable, I especially like the covered patio. Service has always been great. Everyone is friendly and the food comes out promptly. It's not a local establishment, but it's a good spot for a quick lunch or casual dinner.

After eating sandwiches all week at BlueCross Spring Fling, I was skeptical about another sandwich place but fell in love with Newk's. The vegetarian options are delicious and I LOVE the coleslaw. Get the pimento cheese toasted then top with coleslaw- trust me on this one.

What I like about Newk's is the atmosphere and the free thin breadsticks! I always get the combo with either soup/salad or salad/sandwich. Make sure to ask for dressings on the side. The chicken chili was great. Very similar to a Jason's Deli. ANd you always get a great to-go cup with a drink, great way to stock up on reusable cups if you're on a budget, haha! Careful though, if you are on a diet, make sure to check out their nutritional menu as many items you think are "healthy" are definitely not. The pizzas are the worst for caloric intake. If you stick with the soups and salads you should be fine as long as dressing is on the side.

My favorite soup and sandwich place in Murfreesboro now! Try the Royal and the Chicken Salad. The tomato basil and chicken tortilla soups are excellent as well as the salads. Great place and worth the prices!!

This small chain has gained quite a following from the Murfreesboro lunch crowd. Great food, fair pricing, and quick service. I love the half sandwhich and soup combo. Prefer the shrimp po-boy and lobster bisque. On the warm weekends and evenings Newk's patio is a great place to stop and get a beer or wine while shopping at The Avenue. The only improvement I can think of is if they'd add an open wi-fi network so those of us without mi-fi could sit out on the patio and work while we enjoyed their food and beverage.
