Pros: Sorta fast Good portions Tasty BBQ Outdoor seating Unlimited napkins Cons: Not the friendliest folks Outdoor seating Bathroom that wants to lock you in More details: I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich, my partner had the brisket sandwich and we shared a 2 rib plate. The ribs were okay, not the best but not bad either. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich was good, tasty and well portioned for a "small." Ringing a cow bell gets you refills but I found friendly service was lacking here. Both when I placed my order and then again when I needed a refill.

I loved everything about this place and it is great for kids, the pulled pork was perfect before any sauce, the sauce was sweet with some tang, the little sliders and beer soaked brat covered in pulled pork was delicious, the hawg dawg. Pull up a folder chair and kill some time watching the bug screen tv, play some corn hole and bring your own booze, they don't sell alcohol but you can bring whatever.

I've wanted to try this place for awhile now and I finally made my way to Maryville to give it a shot. Overall I really enjoyed it. We had the BBQ Nachos and they were great! It came with queso, sauce, pork or chicken, jalapeños, onions and tomatoes. I also had the 'Hawg Dawg' which was a hot dog with pulled pork and slaw. FANTASTIC! I'm a southern boy, so slaw dogs are kinda in my DNA. The pork certainly didn't hurt it! We also sampled the brisket sandwich and it was excellent, served on white bread with sweet pickles.....I don't know about the pickles. I know everyone has strict BBQ rules and I just can't jive with that. We also had their famous sweet tea and LORD! I like sweet tea but I was not prepared! I needed a lemon to cut the sweetness, to which my group considered heresy but....... All in all, I will definitely be back to try more menu items. This is a great little stop when you're headed toward Maryville or to Townsend. Give it a try!!!

I'm starting to think that it's all about the sauce that goes into making bbq really great. Though some would say it's about the cooking to do if that's the case I have to say I was not super impressed. I was not unhappy with my meal but I was not born away. The sauce was pretty good but without it the meat was dry and left you needing more sweet tea to was it all down.

The best BBQ in Maryville!! Great price and huge servings. You mouth starts to water when you get close. There pulled pork and ribs are the best. They have several sauces which are all delicious. My kids love the Mac and cheese. And a bonus they are military friendly!!

Catered an event I attended, wasn't bad - but was nothing amazing either. Good, solid BBQ... Their Mac n cheese was the best thing I had, and I preferred the chicken over their pork. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

First great bbq I've had since coming to Eastern Tennessee. Had the pulled pork sandwich. Meat was very tasty. Baked beans were pretty good. Mac and cheese I could take or leave. Wife had the pecan pie and like it. They have a lot of fun games like corn hole and checkers to play while you hang out, which was fun for the little one.

Stopped to get gas before going back to the airport and happened upon this gem. It is by far the best tri tip sandwich I have ever had. Perfect smoke and melts in your mouth. Potato salad was about average nothing special but the meat was unbelievable. If I'm back around these parts again I will be back.

Just tried the new one on Cedar Ln/Merchants Dr off I-75 in Knoxville. No doubt the meat is great but make dang sure you order enough sides if you're into that. The individual sides are kiddie size on the high side so get the larger sides. Sauce seems suspiciously like KC Materpiece. Decent meal but marginal Q. WAY overpriced with tiny sides in mind.

    (3)
  • Bryson S.

They got the ribs dialled in for sure. Good smoke but better timing. The bone has no attachment to the meat and the fat basically turns into liquid sugar moistening the meat. No bbq sauce needed. Owners running a bbq clinic here. Hell of a good job.

  • Heloise E.

Just amazing ribs! And the coleslaw is good and fresh, and the mac and cheese tasty. Awesome side road truck. The gas place next to it sells beer, but hush.

  • Kerry M.

Really proud of their sandwich. At $6, it is a joke. Sides are very small. There must not be any competition nearby....

I'm from the international BBQ capital of the world (Owensboro, KY), and Fullservice BBQ is the real deal. The brisket has a nice smoke ring, is sliced thick and is incredibly tender. The baked beans are delicious as well. I love that it's a repurposed gas station too! If I had to list any negative, it would be that all seating is outdoors (which is to be expected give it's an old gas station, but it limits the time of year I can eat my meal there). Other than that, it's delicious.

    (5)
  • Kevin C.

Get the sample platter if there are two of you. The brisket was solid and the chicken was fantastic. Mac and cheese is the soggy noodle type so be warned if you're not into that.

    (4)
  • Jennye P.

Awesome BBQ and very pet friendly! As soon as we got here they gave our dogs "pup cups" piled high with pulled pork!! If you can't make up your mind what you want get the Big Boy box!! You won't be disappointed!!

I travel extensively for work and have been lurking yelp for a few years to find great food experiences, but have never partaken in the reviewing myself (selfish, right?). But the ribs here are seriously good. Good enough to force me to write my first review. Sweet, spicy, Smokey, juicy, tender. Like others have said the barbecue sauce on the side might as well not even be there, but you don't need any sauce to devour a rack or two.

I'm a big Oklahoma Joe's fan & frequent the KC bbq on a regular basis. I also get to travel and sample bbq all over the U.S. That's my background I found this place on Yelp and I'm glad I did. It is literally an old gas station, tables outside- excellent BBQ I got the brisket- excellent in fact everything we ate was good. Want something different it's worth the try

  • Kimberley H.

Loved this unique BBQ experience. Located in a repurposed gas station location, the experience was fun and the BBQ tangy and delicious. We played a game of corn hole during the short wait for our sandwiches. The Sweet Tea was perfect ....sweet enough without being too sweet.

Amazing! Stopped on our way to Florida. Nifty idea outside but covered old gas station to shield from weather. Everything we expected & wanted from Tennessee pork BBQ. Ribs were excellent as well as the nachos. You don't need the BBQ sauce for anything but that was delicious too. Staff was friendly & sweetly accommodating to our dog too. Highly recommend! Nothing fancy but quaint & delicious!

The good: Great tasting BBQ,everything was moist and delicious. The food came out super fast once we ordered. Friendly counter service and they take credit cards. Good environment if you are looking for just a quick outdoor lunch (picnic tables, they have TVs too). Good music! The bad: The prices were semi-high, for the amount of food you got. I left satisfied, but the portion could've been a tad bigger. Also, more food options would've been nice. Overall: A great local BBQ joint for a casual meal. Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Food: 8/10

The best BBQ in Blount County! Pulled pork, brisket and chicken are all outstanding. They now have burnt ends too and though I haven't tried them yet they will be next on my list.

First time in Tennessee and we happened to pass this BBQ spot with Smoker still going and the smell was amazing. We came back the next day and it seemed to be popular and we now know why. Amazing BBQ with a simple atmosphere. We ordered the Big Boy Box with a variety of meat and it did not disappoint. As we finished up, we believe the owner came by our table and asked how everything was, so we gave him our praises. Next time we are in Marysville from Ontario, Canada we will make a point of stopping in for more.

  • Greg G.

Ate there this afternoon. We had the brisket and pulled pork. Both had a great smoked flavor and not dry, smoked flavor was through the meat. The BBQ sauce was very flavorful and seemed homemade. I would recommend this to anyone looking for some good traditional smoked BBQ.

  • Mechele H.

The food is amazing. It's an outdoor seating area and they have a "drive thru" which is nice. I had the nachos and they were amazing!!

I wrote this place off for a long time until finally giving in and trying it. It was actually phenomenal. Please give the "Hawg Dawg" a try

I like the vibe of this place. It's not the best pulled pork or ribs I've ever had, but it's still tasty. Sometimes they have live music playing on weekends. It's an old gas station that got converted to a BBQ joint. They have picnic tables outside if you want to eat there, if not there is also a drive-thru. Last time I went, I got cole-slaw, potato salad, and Mac and cheese for my side's. The cole-slaw was perfect on my pulled pork sandwich. I probably wouldn't get the potato salad again, way too heavy, perhaps they use too much mayo. And the Mac and cheese was just okay, it's always a comfort to have Mac and cheese and unlike other places, they didn't overcook the mac. I ordered a number one combo meal for $25, came with 5 buns, pulled pork, 3 sides, and 5 cookies. They are very generous with their portion sizes. The pork was a little dry, but had lots of flavor.

This place was absolutely outstanding. A local relative recommended that we stop here for the "best BBQ in the area." Boy were they RIGHT! Amazing food. Try the nachos! So good!!

  • Brad C.

My wife and I stopped here on the way to the Smokeys. It is a simple outdoor BBQ with a wood smoker and picnic tables. The chicken and pulled pork was moist and served quickly . Coming from Chicago I loved having a lunch with the friendly locals !

Large bbq pork was unbelieveably good and seriously large. I live in knoxville and finally had a chance to stop by this place as I drove thru maryville. What I learned was that this place is worth a trip to maryville itself. Drive thru, or sit down outside and watch the game on the flatscreen.

    (5)
  • Audrey P.

Everything I have tried here has been very good but a little expensive. Don't let the appearance discourage you from trying it. There is only outdoor seating (picnic benches) and drive-thru. They have cornhole set up too.

I'm all about this place being a local. When every friends or family come to visit its also on the list to go to. Great BBQ and try the nachos so tasty

Awesome bbq, the bbq nachos and the ribs are my favorite. Sweet P's on Old Maryville Pike is the only other place that Is on par with full service.

Disclaimer: I'm a food snob and, in particular, a bit of a BBQ freak. I'm not a fan of baby back ribs nor fancy schmancy trimmings; I want good meat with a good smoke that's tender, juicy, and tasty. This place did not disappoint. Since relocating to Knoxville area of TN I've been on a search for good ribs. I've tried EVERYWHERE (I'll review those places at some point) around town and have been sorely disappointed. OMG what these folks here in Knoxville take as BBQ just makes me sad. Full Service: I was driving through Maryville last summer and smelled this place. Didn't have time to stop then but never forgot about it. Last weekend myself and my counterpart of the Dynamic Duo went for a drive, we were hungry and ready to explore. We wanted BBQ and each of us had a place in mind but neither of us knew the name, all I could tell my partner was the place reminded me of an old gas station; he smiled and said he was thinking of the same place (my twin). We OK Googled and out of the list this name jumped out, sounds like a gas station right? We found it, ordered 1 of EVERYTHING (he had the platter that includes all meats and I had a WHOLE rack of ribs). The RIBS were the best I've found in this area, they were smoked to perfection, juicy, tender, meaty, and I sucked the bones clean. The ONLY negative is the sauce; it tastes like store bought sauce, it was thick and way too sweet for my palate; thankfully, they serve it on the side and while I don't drench my ribs in sauce, on occasion I like to take a dip. My partner liked all the meats except the sausage, he said it tasted like the kind you buy in the large packs at the grocery store. In short, the ribs are great, bring your own sauce if you're a sauce fan. BTW seating is outside at picnic tables; we sat outside and devoured our food on a windy cold yet sunny day. I'm looking forward to summer when I can dine al fresco in some warmth. This place will save me my hour plus drive to Chattanooga for Sugar's; yes the ribs are comparable to Sugar's, not as perfect but near close.

Best BBQ in town. They have different specials every now and then. One of my favotites was the Ribwich. A hefty serving of boneless ribs placed on a sandwich with their signature bbq sauce. Hungry yet?

I've been hearing a lot about this place, and now I understand why. This is really excellent BBQ! I kept hearing about the ribs and the pulled pork/chicken sandwiches, so I got both--pulled chicken and a two-bone of ribs. I dug into the ribs first and instantly regretted not getting a half rack. They were excellent. Fall off the bone tender and served with a great smoky flavor BBQ sauce. I felt sure the pulled chicken sandwich was going to disappoint by comparison, but that was excellent as well. FYI, it's served with pickles and onions on it. The pickles completely change the flavor, but in my opinion, not for the better. I recommend pulling them off the sandwich. But it was a great sandwich with lots of meat on it. I got the meal deal, which added a side and drink, and here's where I ended up a little disappointed. The green beans are the wide, flat kind, which I do not prefer. And they're kind of ordinary tasting. And the sweet tea tastes odd, like it either has a little too much sugar or not enough. I couldn't figure out which. But overall, this is a great BBQ joint (and that's saying something, because I'm not even a huge BBQ fan!). FYI, all outside seating.

Stopped here when visiting town thanks to fellow Yelpers. Soooo good! I had the small pulled pork sandwich and two ribs on the side. Pulled pork sandwich: excellent. Moist pork, flavor on the smoky side, large portion for being a small! Pickles and single scant onion on the side but I wasn't saving room for them, after all. Both ribs: fell right off the bone, meaty and smoky. Service was friendly and super fast. A+++

Had pork and brisket, it was amazing, outdoor atmosphere with the grills burning are pretty awesome. Coleslaw was some of the best I have had. Worth the stop!

Skeptical of gas station look, but saw previous reviews and decided to give it a try. Very good BBQ. Tasty sides and a friendly staff to take our order. Actually a very nice looking place when you get up close. 3+ flatscreen TV's and outdoor dining make for a nice atmosphere.

I'm trying my best to figure out why this place has so many good reviews, but I just can't quite wrap my head around it. I ordered the brisket sandwich. I received it on soggy, non-toasted Texas toast. While I didn't expect it to be pulled brisket, I certainly didn't expect it to be SO dry. The meat was extra dry and the seasoning mediocre at best. The portion size was decent for what I paid, so I guess that's acceptable. I also got a side of macaroni and cheese. It was nothing short of a joke. The noodles were extremely over-cooked and deteriorated in my mouth as soon as it hit my tongue. They served the side in a 3 oz container, but I had maybe 1.5 ounces of mac n' cheese in mine. Extremely disappointing because, hey, it's mac n' cheese. We won't be returning and I would encourage others to steer away from the brisket unless you like your meat dry and tough.

I moved to Maryville a little over two years ago and being a HUGE barbecue fan I immediately got addicted to this stuff. Now, I usually don't give good reviews (I know, it's sad) but I feel like more often than not I am taken advantage of and then ignored as a consumer. Today on my lunch visit I was actually treated like a human being by a business!! (This might be a first). The owner of this place clearly has a genuine vision of what good, simple barbecue should be, and he intends to make it a reality. Simply put, this place has AMAZING barbecue, and the sides and sauces are exactly what you want and expect from real comfort food - no frills and weird gimmicks. I brought my friend from North Carolina here once, and now, whenever he visits me in Knoxville, he demands that we take the pup (it's outdoors and dog friendly!) to Maryville so that he can have some Full Service brisket. I love the pulled chicken, baked beans, and coleslaw, and Wilson the dog loves EVERYTHING (duh). Fantastic food, that's all there is to it!

Five years in eastern TN and we finally found BBQ! Pulled pork sandwich was killer (though with pickles & onion was one pickle and one lonesome strand of an onion, guess ya have to ask for more). Slaw, baked beans and green beans we're tough to beat! All in all I'm headed back to try more! Friendly dudes in the kitchen!!! Bring em!

  • Stina S.

The Pulled Pork w/their delicious BBQ sauce is the best I've ever had! From Oregon & not traditionally a fan of Southern BBQ, but theirs is amazing! Was not fond of the brisket. Ribs were delicious with zero sauce! (I am a sauce person). Will be heading back for sure.

  • David A.

This will be a sadly poor review. I was so excited to try this place. I was told it was amazing and I was missing a lot by not eating here. I sat down and bought a hot dog a pulled pork sandwich and a few of there sides. I don't know if it was a bad day, but the sauce tasted BURNT. I couldn't stomach any of it. I tried the sides, they were decent, but honestly I could walk down to the market for the same price I paid and had a wonderful Luigi sandwich and a side of chips followed by a beer. Personal opinion, but I won't be eating there again.

Best banana pudding, and the brisket is tender. With outdoor seating only, it's a fun spot for a beautiful day.

Recommended by a Co-worker, outstanding bbq sandwiches, and the nachos were actually good. I'm from out of town, and now I understand why they call it "full service", lol. You'll see.

  • Tara S.

This was very, very good BBQ. We had pulled pork & pulled chicken sandwiches. I only had a bite of chicken but it was super tender and tasty. The pork...was like butter melting in my mouth. The sauce had the perfect amount of spice. Sides - mac and cheese was fine if not pretty good, potato salad good, slaw had no taste. The owner offered us a sample of brisket, which isn't usually my thing, and it was incredible. Definitely worth stopping in especially if you use the route through Maryville & Townsend to get to the National Park.

Nothing goes better with long, hot Tennessee days than a good pulled pork sammich and some baked beans. This little joint is the South at its finest: plastic utensils, outdoor-only seating, drive-up service and authentic, homemade barbecue sauce (since you'll be sweating anyway, might as well try the sweet heat: it's delish). The small sandwich is honestly the size of a normal hamburger bun; the large about 1.5 times as big. My husband and I both got pulled pork. It was smoky and tender, and each of our sauces complimented the flavor of the meat. We shared sides. His mac 'n cheese was creamy; my baked beans spicy and rich. We also shared a piece of pecan pie, which boasted a great flavor without being too over-the-top sweet. Oh, and they deliver. Heck. Yes. Pros: Amazing flavor, fair price, great atmosphere Caveats: Outdoor seating only, can get busy at lunch time,

It was cold and dark, with bits of crunchy snow still on the ground- one of those forgotten nights in the twilight of the year. Making our way back south after a week long trip to the mountains, my family and I were passing through Maryville and looking for dinner. Driving through the middle of town, we saw a few of the standard fast food places, quickly came to the other end of town and turned around. Only on the way back through did we see this place. It was an old service station turned restaurant, the gas pumps replaced with wooden picnic tables. My family wasn't as excited as me about trying it out, so I dropped them off to get subs nearby and returned. Service is drive through (or walk up) only. I pulled around the back of what used to be the attendant's counter, and a friendly girl brought me a menu. I chose a pork sandwich combo which she quickly prepared and brought out. The pulled pork was topped with a few onion slices and one slice of sweet pickle, plus a squirt of their sweet and spicy sauce. The meat had good flavor by itself but I would have liked more of it. I actually liked the added onion. Don't know about the pickle-one slice didn't make much difference anyway. The potato salad was good too, if not very original. Not a bad meal for a cold winter night.

  • Michael S.

Amazing pulled pork sandwich, probably the best I've ever had to be honest. The sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy and the fact that this entire place is just an old gas station somehow adds to the ambiance.

This place would get a score slightly above 4, maybe 4.25. I stopped by this place, thinking I can sit down and get some BBQ. What I didn't realize (I should have read Laura B's review more carefully), was that it works very similar to a full service gas station. In the winter time, there's only one table out there to eat at if you care to eat in the cold. So you pull up to the place as if you're filling up your gas tank. Someone comes by and takes your order, preps it where the station attendant would be, and brings it out to your car. There's a shed area in the back where they store their food with a smoker adjacent to it. It was truly a unique experience. As for the food, I had the BBQ nachos with Mac and Cheese. The nachos were very flavorful, but a little on the cold side. Then again, I'm not sure how long they were sitting in the container before I ate it. As for the mac and cheese, the quality was very good and it stayed very warm for a while. I wouldn't dare compare this to some of the soul food places in the country, but it's a heck of a lot better than what you'd get in the Kraft box. And did I mention that these two items with a soft drink runs you $6 plus tax? Overall, I think it's a joint worth visiting again. The owner was gloating about their beef brisket, so my experience today along with this information definitely gives me a reason to go back and enjoy some more food from this place.

Saw this place as I was on my way to the Smokey Mountains and it was too cute not to stop. It is in an old gas station lot where the pumps have been removed and the cashier stand has been taken over as the main part of the restaurant. They have their smoker setup out back of the hut. You can drive up to where the pumps used to be and get take out or walk up and eat at the picnic tables. The pulled pork sandwich was really tasty as was the mac and cheese. They have a great lunch special (11-2 everyday) for only $5 that includes a small pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich, your choice of side and a sample of southern slaw. I really liked the food and absolutely loved the concept. I'll definitely be headed back if I'm ever back down in Knoxville.

Best BBQ I've had in years! Only a 4 star due to no indoor seating. Really, Really, Really Good food at really low prices! The side of the road gas station situation has it's own charm:) Definitely worth stopping in when you're nearby - did I mention the food is Really Good? And don't get me started on the Nana Puddin;)

I dont know where folks get "cheap" and "huge portions" from ? Two ribs with nothing except a small dinner roll costs $5.50. To "upgrade" for $3.00 adds one side and one drink. So a modest lunch combo will cost $8.50. The ribs did fall off the bone. That was the good part. The bad is they were tiny baby backs. Good for like a couple of bites. Despite claim on the service window about being "the best in TN" the BBQ sause was nothing special: too sweet and lacked tangieness. The mac cheese side came on a tiny beveled cup so there wasnt much of it. And it was too creamy for my taste. I like real baked mac cheese not runny overcooked elbows. JAMACAN SUNRISE on Old Knoxville HWY has killer real baked mac cheese to die for. This is not to say the food was bad. But you have to balance what you get for the price and it underwhelms. Keep the price if you want but justify that with bigger portions. One more thing, we were seating outdoor in a converted gas station. There were no decoration of any kind. I would like the ownership to spice it up a little. I don't mind those frilly streamers they run like on used car lots. That is better than bare canopy over an empty gas island. To sum it up - passable food but small portions with high prices in a strange environment.

Amazing! Sauce is a little sweet for my taste, but the pork shines through. The beans are awesome, and the portions are generous. Loved that we could play cornhole at lunch.

Once you get over you're outside at an old gas station, the food is really good. The owner was super friendly to us folks from Illinois. They are doing it right. The sweet & spicy sauce was on point. Thanks Mr Glock

I can't say enough about how great these guys are. They catered a wedding for us with 50 to 60 folks. We had a couple of guys from Chicago, and they confessed it was the best they had ever had. Great service, great sides, great chicken, ribs, basket, pulled pork.

I adore this BBQ. The whiskey sauce (the main one, although they do have a more carolina vinegary version) is savory with a hint of sweet and incredible. The meat itself is very tender and delicious. The only downside to this place (and the reason it's 4 stars instead of 5) is that you have to either get it to go or eat in the parking lot at one of the picnic tables. (It's in a tiny converted gas station, so the picnic area is covered, but it's only good for nice weather.) Good pricing, great banana pudding dessert, and the baked beans are wonderful. Best BBQ I've found yet near Knoxville.

Ordered 2 "family packs" for a graduation party I hosted...pulled pork, pulled chicken, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. Buns, bbq sauce and chocolate chip cookies came with it all too. IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE PARTY. Everyone loved it....kids, teenagers, and adults alike. I can't choose only one item to discuss because it was all amazing. Food was well packaged and easy to transport; the service was extremely friendly and helpful. I will be ordering from them again for work events and personal parties. You should too! Oh, and I was able to serve 50 people (with leftovers) at $6 per person! Cookies were large and soft, barbecue sauce has just the right amount of tang to satisfy A variety of tastes, barbecue chicken and pork is just splendid with the perfect amount and type of seasoning. The coleslaw is not too creamy or soupy. The baked beans are amazing and have some pork in them as well, and the mac and cheese...well I should've ordered twice as much because everyone went back for more. You won't go wrong with their "family pack" option!

    1. Best brisket in East TN. 2. Pulled pork is also very good and comes without sauce which I LOVE. 3. Pulled chicken had excellent flavor. 4. Ribs were extremely tender, some might say slightly overlooked, but the flavor was outstanding. For sides I only tried the potato salad and cole slaw. The potato salad is normal and fresh. The cole slaw had a "whang" and personally I didn't like it one bit. But there are many side choices so next time I'll try another. All in all I'm thrilled with the whole experience and will be making the 30 minute drive again soon!!!

Best brisket in East Tennessee by FAR. Also love the setup of the converted gas station, and the music selections are always good. If anything could use improvement it's the sides, but I don't need to love them when the meat is this good.

My continuing quest for BBQ brought me to here. Since I like to try as much of the as possible to discover what they are really about. Seating outside. Meats are smoked out front. I'd agree with the comment about not the friendliest of folks. Girl in the "trailer" taking the orders was not very helpful. I'll start with the ribs. As you can see from the picture they were way over-cooked. So over cooked they didn't fall off the bones, they were kind of burnt into the bones. It was late so maybe that is a good excuse. The pork was pretty good, but a bit dry and needed the sauce. The Chicken, about the same comments as the pork. The brisket, I read a review that said "best brisket in East Tennessee by FAR". Girl you need to get our more. Again I'd rate pretty good and considering how tough brisket can be to cook surprised it had not ended up like the ribs. Now to one of my favorite meats, the sausage. Bland... without question needed the sauce. I'm a banana pudding guy so my expectations are always high. I was a bit let down. Too sweet, not enough wafers, the whip cream on top was a downer and it all tasted like some kind of sweetener was added.

There's something about gas station barbeque. Now don't get me wrong, there are some things that I really like about this place, but there are also things I did not care for. The ribs are really quite good here. The pulled chicken and the Mac and cheese are also noticeably above average. I like that not only do they give you pickles with you meal, but some jalepenos and onion as well. The service was chatty and friendly and the prices were pretty good. Now for the things I didn't love. I found the brisket to be a tad on the dry side for my liking. Also, they don't really have much in the way of sauce selection. You get a side of generic bbq sauce with your meal and that's it. Put some sauces on the tables guys! Lastly, sides should be included with the meats. All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives. It's a decent bbq option if you are in the area.

I ordered the Big Boy Box which was a sampling of all the meats plus two sides. It was really good, for never having been there this was probably the best way to get an idea of what they offer. I am always looking for good brisket and theirs was pretty good. The chicken was moist, (usually it's dry.) The little sausages were awesome, the ribs were perfect, pulled pork was just as good. The sides could have been a large portion. The sauce was kind of vinagery and peppery, I like mine on the sweet side, but it did come on the side. This was at their new location on merchants drive in north Knoxville. I'll be going back.

Some of the best BBQ I've ever had! Had The Big Boy which includes all the meats they have! Ribs were falling off the bone good! The best part is the meat didn't have that overwhelming smokey flavor, just enough!

Fun setting with picnic tables outside at an old gas station. Pulled pork on par or better than most in greater Knoxville. Brisket was tender, flavorful and not fatty. I've had better brisket but that was far far away from East TN! Corn hole, giant checkers and people watching to entertain young and old alike.

Just amazing ribs! And the coleslaw is good and fresh, and the mac and cheese tasty. Awesome side road truck. The gas place next to it sells beer, but hush.

Loved this unique BBQ experience. Located in a repurposed gas station location, the experience was fun and the BBQ tangy and delicious. We played a game of corn hole during the short wait for our sandwiches. The Sweet Tea was perfect ....sweet enough without being too sweet.

Everything I have tried here has been very good but a little expensive. Don't let the appearance discourage you from trying it. There is only outdoor seating (picnic benches) and drive-thru. They have cornhole set up too.

Bring em!

Ate there this afternoon. We had the brisket and pulled pork. Both had a great smoked flavor and not dry, smoked flavor was through the meat. The BBQ sauce was very flavorful and seemed homemade. I would recommend this to anyone looking for some good traditional smoked BBQ.

The food is amazing. It's an outdoor seating area and they have a "drive thru" which is nice. I had the nachos and they were amazing!!

I wrote this place off for a long time until finally giving in and trying it. It was actually phenomenal. Please give the "Hawg Dawg" a try
