Run by a gracious proprietor, this is THE perfect overnight spot for your Dragon run. Delicious food, very nice new rooms and bathrooms, and only 22 miles from the Tree Of Shame. Thanks for taking care of us!

We happened upon this place on the way to the Dragon coming from Tellico Plans. It was early morning so after riding up and down a few times, we headed back for lunch, one of the best feeds of BBQ I've ever had. It's a simple joint, great food though, really enjoyed it. Didn't look into the rooms as we rent a place in Tellico Plains, but all I heard was good stuff.

We recently took a road trip through the tail down to Florida. We wanted to stay at this hotel and we called to make a reservation. We got into Robbinsville at 1030ish and we found the dragon! Unfortunately what we didn't realize is that there is no cell reception in the smoky mountains. Oops! We desperately tried to remember where the Dragon Pitt Inn was and couldn't bring up anything on our phones to make a phone call or anything! Dennis was super sweet on the phone and let us know he would turn down a bed earlier in the day when we had called. We stumbled on another hotel in the area and stopped for the night. The next morning after getting back on the road I had a missed call. Dennis had called us back to let us know he still has the bed open, figured we got lost and was just calling to let us know if we did need anything just to call. Thank-you for following up. Hospitality at it's finest. We will be seeing you the next trip we take to the Tail (shooting for this summer!) PS we chose to stay here in the first place from the great reviews!

Just got back to Daytona from a weekend trip to the Dragon. Great place to stay. Close to many great rides. Already planning our next trip. Owners are very hospitable. Made us pulled pork sandwiches well after closing time after we returned from a ride. I would recommend anyone and everyone stay here.

Visited on June 15, 2014 after spending several days in backcountry of GSMNP. Food was delicious. Guys in our party either had the Dragon Burger or the pulled pork, everyone raved. Owners were the definition of pleasantness and hospitality. Would have given 5 stars if fries serving had been more generous, but they were delicious fat crinkle cuts--mmmmm. Only wish they could have served cold beer with their delicious food. Will eat here again next time I'm in the area.

Maybe it was the 107 degree heat, or maybe it was my growling stomach, but this place hit the spot for me and I had one of the best simple tastiest pulled pork sandwiches ever. Very tasty sauce, and nicely toasted bun. I ate mine with a fork and used the top bun to slop up sauce with... so yummy. They had even shut down the kitchen minutes before we arrived but reopened just for us. That's service. Motorcycle parking. A must stop on the dragon route.

This served as our base camp for our Blue Ridge Parkway motorcycle adventure. We arrived, trailering our bikes from IL on a Saturday. Got in a good night of sleep, albeit alcohol induced. The owner was kind enough to allow us to leave our trailer and car in a secure spot so we could spend the next 5 days riding our hearts out. The location is only 11 miles away from the infamous tail of the dragon. We saved that adventure for our last day, I needed to warm up my gears, since riding on curving and banked roads is not a typical experience in flat land Illinois. The rooms are affordable and great for groups. There is also a restaurant adjacent to the property which has hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches and a mind blowing pulled pork sandwich. We stayed another night at the end of the trip as well. Even the other guests at the Inn were friendly and helpful. If you plan on slaying the dragon, you should at least reward your self with some mighty tasty pulled pork. Plus, everyone that stops by gets a free coaster that as a kickstand coaster. Good stuff!
