The wife and I looked online to plan our vacation from Memphis and we had a gift card to Bass Pro. The online menu had everything from venison apps to filets and many other upscale dishes. It claimed there was a working brewery in it and called itself a steakhouse. We get here and get seated in a near empty restaurant and the menu fits on 2 sides of a 5x7 card with burgers and basic sandwiches and 2 salad options. Everything else is fried fish. After talking to the waitress she says the menu was changed a full year ago. They've had far too long to change it and qualifies for deliberate false advertising. Loose 2 stars. We debated but didn't leave because of the gift card and the starving child. Onto the food. My Wife got the chicken with veggies and fries. She liked the chicken and fries. The steamed broccoli was doused in malt vinegar and is repulsive. I got the BBQ and coming from Memphis it is hard to impress me but it's hard to mess it up. They oven baked pork, shredded it then mixed it like a casserole with BBQ sauce that was ok. There was a lot of it and the flavor was strong but not necessarily good. Plus there was a thumb size piece of cartilage in it. Kid got fried fish, always makes her happy. It was an acceptable experience but we won't be back.

We stopped in here after being disappointed that this Bass World did not have an Islamorada. The staff were friendly and attentive. They did seem to be having some type of reunion up front with a former employee, or someone off duty visiting, which was a little loud with two little kids running around. After a bit, they moved it to a separate room, which was much better. I don't believe there was more than 1 other dining couple in the restaurant the entire time we were there. My husband had a salad, which he said was good. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and onion rings. This is one of those places that mixes the meat and sauce in the back. OMGosh....the amount of sauce, which was a very sweet, tangy version, made the sandwich virtually inedible. I left more than half there. The onion rings were crispy and not greasy, but they were bland to me. My husband said they were just "normal", so maybe it was the overwhelming sauce flavor that killed my taste buds. They also serve a bit of macaroni salad, which also seemed tasteless. I would not stop here again.

First impression, nice sandwich place located inside Outdoor World. Clean, roomy, comfortable. Is an outdoor / fishing rustic themed decor, with lots of fish versions on the walls along with pictures of old day fisherman, very comfortable. Staff was friendly and inviting. The menu was simple, yet complete from burger options to fish sandwiches, to chicken options. I had the mushroom / swiss burger, with kettle chips. The wife had chicken strips and fries, which had a spice kick to them. Good taste for adults but possibly a little too much bite for young mouths. Total bill less than $30 including food, drink, and tip. While I live 2+ hours from the location, and won't have opportunity to visit anytime soon, should I find myself inside Outdoor World again, eating at Uncle Bucks Grill will be on my "To Do List".

I must have been here on a good day compared to the other reviewers! It wasn't great but not terrible either. I had the chilli that comes in a tiny kettle. I thought it was okay but not spicy enough. All in all if you are already shopping in bass pro shop it's not a bad choice.

Stopped here on a rainy July day based on Yelp reviews. They were understaffed in the front, but our waitress was friendly and attentive. My wife and I split a Caesar Salad, a half rotisserie chicken, and an order of onion rings. The salad was large... and delicious. The chicken was hickory smoked. Very smoky in the flavor, so some wouldn't like it, but the BBQ sauce they served with it was a great compliment to the flavor of the chicken. Delicious! And the onion rings were pretty good, too. More than enough to fill us up. Very good food. I would love to return.

Pretty neat spot, located inside a Bass Pro Shop which is weird. Menu is limited and mostly fried, but the gator bites were good and the beer was cold. Only 4 taps but plenty of bottles, full liquor selection also. The service was prompted and attentive but business was pretty slow (Tuesday night). I would have liked to see more TVs with games but they didn't say they're a sports bar. If you craving bar food, give them a try, my 3 star rating is only because I expected more food options.

We decided to eat here after being told the Chop House had a 60 minute wait. This place had NO wait. That should have been our first clue. We got the Catfish dinner, fish & chips and the fish and alligator combo. The food was actually very good, and catfish/fish & chips were ok portions, but the fish and alligator portions were tiny for the prices. I was unhappy with that. The manager told us that portions are weighed out and they couldn't change it. She gave us a discount and 2 free deserts, but I won't go back. Like I said, the food was actually pretty good and portions for the Fish and chips and Catfish dinners were moderately generous. Just don't get the Fish and Alligator dinner (with tiny portions).

Mediocre food. My hamburger was cooked just like I'd asked for it to be, but when it got to the table, it was cold. The top bun was hard, the bottom one soggy. My wife's catfish sandwich was not any better. The french fries were disgusting; we had one that was raw (how does that happen?)! The waitress was friendly and on top of things.

My family came here for our last meal together on Vacation and I had the beef sandwich with onions and cheese. Wow! This sandwich was loaded and I mean loaded with beef. Awesome! This place has great food and ambiance for the guys. I mean how can you beat Bass Pro Shop with a awesome restaurant inside. Will definitely be going back when in town.

Uncle Bucks 7/10/13 1:33PM Check no. 40007 Mikayla server Jessica - attending manager TERRIBLE. Served bad/moldy mint leaves in a Mojito, server did not return to inquire, I had to take the drink back to the bar where the bartender was busy texting and talking to other servers with their feet up on the adjacent bar stools. Bartender clearly made the drink and appeared to find my request for a new drink and my pointing out that the mint leaves were bad - like it was some surprise to her. Felt taken advantage of. This was simply the beginning. Server didn't know the menu and her excuse was, "you are my first table of the day". So what, I thought...I don't work here and you do. Things continued down hill from there. Food was served with fries - "oh sorry, we don't have seasoned fries anymore", "oh, okay - what do you have?" "Just plain fries" - What gets served, soggy seasoned fries that had been sitting under the lamp for 10 minutes! My roasted chicken was tasty but served cold. Server did not return to ask about drinks, never returned with water when asked, simply brought the bill and slipped away. Then as I left the restaurant, I noticed a person at the hostess station who wore a name tag, "Jessica - Manager" - I asked if she was the manager - mind you, the restaurant did not have 10 guests in it, and she did not even take the time to say, "thank you", "how was your food?" - nothing; so after she confirmed she was the manager, I indicated my displeasure with our experience, she invited me tell her what happened, I declined and indicated that I would complete the online review...she commented that was fine, but she didn't get to see the comments directly. We have eaten at this restaurant before, maybe three times over the past five years. We have eaten at Bass Pro in Springfield, Islamorada, etc - we drive 10 hours to stop at this Bass Pro Shops and have lunch before we check into our vacation cabin for 3-5 days. This was always a fun stop for us. We would be hard pressed to stop again based on the lack of service, quality and presentation of the food, and cavalier behavior and attitude of the staff - these concerns contributed to a terrible experience at Bass Pro Shops - I don't know how many restaurant choices there are in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg but we dined at several during our visit and enjoyed everyone except at Uncle Bucks. What would you do?

I agree with previous reviews to skip this place. We only came here because there was a long wait at the Chop House next door. If we hadn't just spent 10 hours on the road we would have waited. The server came to our table promptly and took our orders for ice tea which also came promptly. I ordered the fish and chips and wife ordered the fried shrimp. Both orders arrived rather quickly. But oh boy, the grease on both items was unbelievable. The fish was soggy from the grease and the breaking was thick and soaked with grease. The shrimp had a panko breading which was probably a quarter of an inch thick. We both ordered the home made chips which were equally as greasy. While the service was good the food was barely edible. Also, while the service was good would would it have hurt the waitress to at least smile and offer to refill our ice tea.

Great service by our waitress but only mediocre food. Decently priced, cool decor, & a good location since we're staying @ Fairfield Inn next door. Fried catfish was good as were the onion rings & salad. Chili tasted canned & panini turkey sandwich was ok, nothing special. Only 3 desserts on the menu; we ordered a slice of key lime pie & were told several mins later they were out (at 6:30 on a Tuesday;seems underprepared to me). Probably wouldn't try this place again despite our server, Amber, being top notch. She made an otherwise forgettable meal tolerable.
