Stopped in to have lunch with an old friend I hadn't seen in ages! I think we both forgot how good the food can be. As our server greeted us in less than 30 seconds and had sweet teas out to us in les than 2 minutes, we we're salivating at the plates of food walking by us to near tables - could have been those honey drizzled croissants!!! I don't think I have eaten a chicken salad so fast in my life. And did I mention the honey croissants?!!! It's worth eating the whole basket of those! Service was good, food was good.

Consistent, fresh and uniformly good service are the hallmarks of this restaurant. My wife and I have been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed the food and I've never had any problems with the service.

Luke warm feelings about this place, the food is bordering on mediocre and the service wow, customer service went the way of the dinosaur with this restaurant. Get a snack here not really a place for something special

Food is pretty basic but fairly good. They use the grill nicely and I had the mahi mahi, which I truly believe was fresh. I ordered the grilled asparagus with it and it was the perfect compliment but that was it. No suggestion of bread or additional side. Service was sub par on a week night where it wasn't overly busy but seemingly well staffed. They never offered water and it took me two requests for a second beer which finally showed up after I finished my meal.

I always get the Jackson Hole filet. It is one of the best filets I have ever eaten. Normally I put nothing on a filet, but they have this Cajun butter that is perfect on it. I have tried other items and everything is good. They have awesome fried mushrooms as well.

Rafferty's smokehouse burger is the best burger on the planet....period. When I visit home (Knoxville). I come to Rafferty's at least once and get the same meal every time. I sit in the room with the TV wall, I get the Smokehouse burger with a baked sweet potato, a side caesar salad and a tall brewsky. Can't wait to come back!

Travelling through TN and were staying in Knoxville overnight...so glad we found Rafferty's...try the potato soup.. we both had the prime rib..yum

Stopped in here with my wife and two daughters to have a nice supper after a day of Christmas shopping. We had a great waiter who started right away and didn't feel overly pushy. I ordered the prime rib w/mashed potatoes and the house salad. I loved the prime (with au jus and grated fresh horseradish) and it was very, very good. The potatoes, while tasty were lukewarm, so I can't say much for that. The salad was awesome and that homemade honey mustard/bacon dressing is superb. All in all, we had a very good experience and when in Knoxville, I recommend you stop in.

With my family of five we had a very good dinner, high-level of service drinks refilled and the food quality was very good. I would recommend the prime rib over the rib eye and the Hawaiian Chicken dish was fabulous.

I am out of town and have ate at multiple locations since the beginning of February. My experience at Rafferty's was the most disappointing to date. First, the hostess more less "required" that I eat around the bar area if I wanted a booth. I suppose those are reserved for single patrons? Then I ordered the infamous smokehouse burger which was somewhat pathetic. First, it's a dry patty, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, bun and a half a gallon of bbq sauce. The flavor wasn't that bad but by no means a great burger, especially after your hands are dripping with sticky sauce. Then there was the fries. Ever been to the bottom of a chip bag? Well, these fries were from the bottom of the fries bag, 98% of them was an inch long. I asked the waitress if this was normal and she said "sometimes they're like that, do you want me to have them fix more?" Since I am not interested in the special "treats" that cooks provide to complainers, I said "no" assuming she would take them off of my bill after she took them away or at least ask. Not. Oh well, I wont be back anytime soon, too many places to eat at in Knoxville to put up with a less than par $11 burger fries and water.

Poor food and poor service. Evidently the burgers are good, but don't get the fish! I had the bourbon salmon, expecting it to be glazed, but it was completely doused in sauce. Completely ruined the fish. The server was rude. Will never go there again.

Very under rated place. They have great ribs. The center of the place is very open and many TV's. Great for a UT game.

Thought about eating here a lot, finally got around to it. Liked the ambiance and atmosphere. Good drink specials. Ordered mozz sticks appetizer, it came out hot and crispy. We both got sandwiches, I got the pulled pork which was nothing to write home about, but was good. Good fries. Would love to try again.
