Ok, so we couldnt wait to try this pizza that says is CHICAGO style. Well, i AM from Chicago and this tasted NOTHING like Chicago pizza. It was just OK, but thats all i can say about it. The sausage was so tiny and so very little of it, you couldnt even hardly see or taste it.

I love this place! It's not one bit fancy but it's fun, the staff is great, and I really like the food. Pizza is tasty with a crispy, bready crust. The spaghetti with meatballs is spicy and filling; good hot breadsticks with sauce, and the salad bar isn't fancy, but refilled with fresh ingredients constantly and very good. If you want a filling, well-prepared spaghetti supper that's low-priced, this is a good choice. Thumb's up, LJ's!

There are No appetizers on the menu..I was disappointed about that..I was hoping for some garlic knots. They do give you bread with spaghetti sauce which is pretty good. The pizza definitely reminds me of "real" pizza. My parents are from Illinois so I'm used to eating pizza there and it's totally different, but this is definitely the closest thing in Knoxville to it.

The only place I would send someone new to the area looking for a traditional thin-crust with tavern cut. The overall pizza in Knoxville is NY style and this place is a nice break and close reminder of the pizza I loved in the Midwest.

It's got a cool 1970's vibe but honestly the Pizza isn't that great. The pizza sauce is meh and the crust wasn't that great. If it wasn't for the fact that the place has been around for along time I'm not sure that it would make it as a new business.

I'm not a pizza snob, but I know good pizza. I grew up with the best of it. So when I decide I want a treat, or I get a random craving for it, I'll try a new pizza place. I'm always on the hunt for the best pizza in Knoxville. And I'm only looking for one thing when I eat pizza: NY/NJ style. Period. The end. Little Joes should get 3.5 stars. But Yelp still doesn't give us this option! :/ Crust: 3 of 5 stars. I think it's the water. Unless the water is imported straight from the Northeast, NYC in particular, there's only so much you can do with a Knoxville crust. Little Joe's makes it thin and crispy, but if you turn it over as you get towards the middle, you'll see what I always see when I eat pizza here. It gets progressively softer and lighter are you move inwards. Is there any way around this? Maybe a wood fired pizza would make it all brown. But I'm not looking for wood fired California style pizza. They use a lot of cheese and a little sauce. A plus. However the quality of the mozzarella could be better. They salt the pizza a tad too much. And I love salt. Full disclosure: I ordered half with pepperoni and half with mushrooms and black olives. So 2 of my 3 toppings were salty. Which is even more reason why they shouldn't add additional salt to the pizza itself. It was a bit too salty and that's what sticks in my head when I reminisce. They cut my medium pie into about 12-15 pieces. NO! I didn't ask for this. I wanted my NY/NJ style pizza cut into 8 triangular slices so I could fold it over, if I chose to. Nope. too late. They put the pepperoni under the cheese. I get this. It's not a bad idea per se, but I thought the pepperoni was missing at first and went back in to get some more. I like to see my toppings, period. So Little Joes--put some under the cheese if it makes you feel better. But please put some on top too so we don't think we got jacked.

Our waitress was friendly and brought waters quickly. The service was very slow, the salad bar was very unimpressive, the bread was cold and tasted stale, however we did receive a warm basket later and I think the crispness was intentional. When our pizza arrived after a long wait, I picked up a piece to serve it and all of the cheese and toppings slid off. The dough was raw and the toppings tasted soggy. We had to ask for enough plates and napkins. It was only ok, not worth the price or long time, this was a pit stop on a long road trip.

I love Little Joe's pizza...Gooey and cheesy just like it should be. The toppings are great (basic choices) and the crust is perfect (not too thick, not too thin). My son always gets the spaghetti and eats every bite. The spaghetti sauce is on the chunky side, which he really likes. They will start you out with breadsticks, and my husband always orders the cold pizza sauce for dipping. The sandwiches always sound delicious, but I just can't keep from ordering the pizza. It's just that good.

I love Little Joe's Pizza. Thin crust with the perfect amount of red sauce and the most flavorful sausage makes for a perfect Friday night pizza. The breadsticks are really good too but very salty.

My family has been coming here for the past 22 years, and it is simply amazing. I can't remember a visit to Little Joe's where I did not leave happy. They start you off with their breadsticks, which are warm, fresh, and amazing. We usually ask for more to take home because they are so good. It may be hard, but only eat a few. You're going to want room for that delicious pizza later. I always get a salad bar. It's pretty limited, but always fresh. And the pizza. Oh lord the pizza. The crust is thin, but that's how I like it. Their sauce is fresh, made in house every day. They pile on the cheese and the toppings, but not to the point that they overwhelm. The balance is perfect. Look, they may be a little pricier than the chains around town, but that price is completely worth it in my book because it is going to a local business owner, and because of the quality of the ingredients. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. It is that good.

Best pizza in Knoxville. I saw one review that complained about too many toppings on their pizza --- Really??? Place reminds me of an old-school pizza parlor from when I was a kid great food!!

I grew up in NY on some of the best pizza anywhere. The last place I expected to find good pizza was in Tennessee. Little Joe's makes a good pizza--especially their thin crust pizza. Must try when you are in Knoxville.

How has nobody reviewed this place yet?! This is the best pizza in east Tennessee. Period. Personally, it's my favorite ever. It is the epitome of a family run, no frills, local eatery. I'm sure the food on the menu is great, but in 26 years of eating here I've never gone beyond pizza. Be sure they are open before you go, and be sure to bring cash or the check book. As far as I know, there's no ATM on site so bring that cash. Also, order yourself up some spaghetti sauce with the breadsticks you get. They're good enough on their own, but the spaghetti sauce makes it allllll better :D Seriously. Best pizza place in East Tennessee. I don't care what Metro Pulse says when crap like Pizza Hut wins their little popularity contest.

I feel privileged to live within a 5 minute drive to this Farragut/Lenoir City/Greater Knoxville pizza joint. When you walk in the front door, you just know this place is going to be good. There are no frills to this place, the tables are old, and cracks in the vinyl boots are taped with black duct tape...but no one minds. They make up for it with unbelievable pizza. The pizza is amazing. The crust is similar to a cracker, not chewy and thick, but thin and crispy. The sauce is different than any other pizza place in town, and they are not afraid to add some cheese. The toppings are more limited that other pizza joints, but it doesn't matter. They make up for it in taste. While you are waiting, they will bring you hot, fresh breadsticks. Just remember to ask for the hot pizza sauce for dipping! It's a small extra charge, but totally worth it. The only downside is the measley salad bar, but who really wants a salad at this place? LJP - HIGHLY recommended.

My family loves Little Joe's!! It is a great dive pizza joint and has our favorite pizza. And we eat a lot of pizza!!! In fact we could not get my daughter to eat pizza - she would always spit it out. Then we took her to Little Joe's and now she loves it. Also LJ is one of the first places my wife and went on a date. So other than great pizza it has some cool memories for us as well.
