Wow such a great sub. Snuck one of these delicious subs into the movie theater next door. While the movie was mediocre, the sub was ON FLEEK. It made my movie going experience so much better. Highly recommend eating there and also smuggling subs into movies that aren't that great to enhance your overall experience. Overall 9/10 - Would eat Lenny's Sub Shop again.

There was a time where I was a regular at Lenny's. Several things have dropped their stock with me, culminating in my last visit possibly being my last visit. When they went to computer ordering, I think that was the first straw. It used to be nice having a personal connection to the crew as they took your order. They'd get to know what you ate if you were a regular, and it inspired friendly conversation. Now, they just punch in the order, and it shows up on the other end of the line. No personal interaction to speak of. The crew isn't what it used to be, due to the lack of face to face interaction, they didn't have to hire the charismatic personalities that they once did. Now, if you can barely read, you can work at Lenny's. And that seems to be the caliber of people working behind the counter today. Not a lot of personality. The computer screen was acting up, and while one employee was trying to see if she could fix it, another employee chewed her out for trying to fix it. Like I said, not a lot of personality, and professionalism was at its minimum. And lastly, there's the food. I ordered it in, but when it came, it was packaged to go. I guess they didn't want me there, and when I unwrapped my sandwich, I could see why. It was a sloppy sandwich that you'd expect from some crappy drive thru, and honestly, if that's how they're going to serve their food, I'll find a better sandwich somewhere else. The bacon on my sandwich felt like I was chewing shards of glass, rather than what bacon is supposed to taste/feel like. What the hell are they doing to their bacon. At any rate, so long old friend. Much better service today! Go during the lunch time as long as you don't mind waiting in a long line. The service is more speedy and accurate.

The neon sign outside this joint was like a beacon calling us in. You can smell the grilled onions wafting through the air while you wait for your freshly prepared subs. The electronic soda fountain with endless soda options diverted our attention from how long it took us to get our subs. Once our subs arrived, it was well worth the wait. The hot Italian was spicy with a punch of flavor. They forgot my hot pepper relish and I wish they gave me more meat. The music was a little too hard rock for my taste when I was trying to enjoy my sub. Lenny needs to stop being stingy with the amount of meat and get subs out quicker.

Lenny's is a decent sub shop. It's miles ahead of Subway, but lacking compared to Steamboat over in Market Square. They have basic cold cuts that aren't anything amazing compared to anywhere else. Steamboat kicks their ass compared to cold sandwiches, but the thing that makes Lenny's for me are the Phillys. Walking into this place and grabbing a steak or chicken Philly makes all my cares go away. They make them fresh to order. Plus, the addition of a Coke Freestyle machine doesn't hurt. Mmmmmmm....vanilla root beer.

Best classic sandwich I have had in awhile! tuna salad sandwich = delicious! hot pepper relish = YUM! coke free style machine = awesome! service = sweettttttt price = not to shabby, THANKS LENNY'S!! Everyone that I went with really enjoyed their sandwich too. Stop by for a quick lunch next time you're on Gay Street!

A great addition to downtown. I hate the 3 star option because it stands for a-ok which this place is. No reason not to go here. A good sandwich shop all around.
