Good sandwiches - I was in Knoxville for a short time. The hush puppies are very tasty and the lady who serves them goes from table to table - she is an absolute darlin'. Great sides too - the potato salad was very well made too.

The food and service are excellent. The pulled chicken sandwich was tender and flavorful, the pulled pork sandwich was just right-smoky and delicious and the onion rings melt in your mouth. We eat here whenever we are in Knoxville.

Proof positive that some great things still aren't expensive. Buddy's is the best BBQ in town. Good baked beans and cole slaw round things out.

Dig the pig! That's their motto. It actually reminds me of a KFC, but pig instead of chicken. It's casual, you order at the front register, just like you do at a KFC. I was in the area today, attending a car show at the park across the street, and I thought it looked like a good place to stop. I checked the Yelp reviews before I decided though. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich dinner. It came with my choice of two sides and I chose potato salad and BBQ beans. The potato salad was the mustardy kind, not the white kind that I usually prefer. The beans weren't very barbecuey, they sort of tasted like they came straight from the can. The bun on the sandwich was huge, so I decided to just pick off the meat. I actually thought everything was tasty, especially for a fast food like place. Worth mentioning: my dad ordered the all you can eat BBQ ribs but he didn't care for them. The second batch, they offered to leave off the sauce and the lady who seemed to be a manager said "they would be better with Sweet Baby Ray's sauce". She was trying to be nice and she was. Dad said "see she works here and she doesn't even like the sauce". They only have two sauce options at the table, neither of which were great. But I liked my meal for the most part so I'll rate it based on that. Oh, and the prices are cheap... like KFC cheap.

Great food great prices. Tuesday deal is any meat two sides and drink unlimited hush puppies $5!! Can't beat it.

Good solid BBQ and sides for a very reasonable price, great hush puppies. We'll definitely stop by on our next trip through Knoxville.

The biggest positive here is that the staff is really friendly, which makes me wish I could eke out another star. However, in the end, I just can't. - The beef sandwich didn't taste very smokey, regardless of the fact that the entire place smells of hickory smoke. Also, the texture of the beef made it seem like it was sliced before being cooked. It makes me wonder if this was really smoked at all. - The pork sandwich was much better although a little light on the meat. A positive is that it wasn't overly sauced and the sauce was not too sweet. - The potato salad tasted like it was straight out of a container - Hush puppies were ok but I refuse to criticize any product that costs only 89 cents - Lemon pie. You know, I don't think this is made there, but I actually enjoyed my piece of icebox lemon pie. In fact, I sort of wish I had a slice right now. Overall, I say don't go here. If you want a pork sandwich, go to Dixson's.

I've never gotten a chance to actually eat inside a Buddy's on trips to Knoxville, but whenever my husband is on his way home from hiking trips with his buddies, he brings home a pound of Buddy's. It doesn't last long in our house! The sauce is good...not too sweet. Quality of meat isn't too bad. My next trip to Knoxville includes a wedding rehearsal dinner catered by Buddy's, so I'm excited. Enjoy your barbeque!

Friendly service. Quick. Beans & corn on cob taste good. Wish I could give more stars but it just was not warranted. I had the ribs & they were dry. It arrived slathered in sauce. I like sauce but I prefer to taste the meat too. Husband had the brisket & said it was tender with a strange taste.
