This place was voted best ice cream in Knoxville, and I'd have to agree with that. Their ice cream is sweeter than other ice cream places and waiting in line outside you can smell the delicious sugar. It's packed outside most nights with long lines, but is totally worth it. There are tons of flavors of ice cream plus specialty things like desserts with brownies, ice cream cakes, banana splits, etc. My favorite flavors are pumpkin in the fall, and blueberry cheesecake, though usually when I go, I just get whatever natural disaster name they use for vanilla with stuff mixed in - blizzard, flurry, tornado, whatever. My boyfriend always gets the mint chocolate chip milkshake. Sometimes parking can be limited, but hey, they're popular! There are also picnic tables out back if you enjoy being surrounded by screaming children. Definitely recommended!

We went to try a new place for ice cream and wasn't impressed at all. It was quite warm outside even at 6 p.m. and you stand outside waiting to order. We waited quite a while for the three orders in front of us. It seemed that the people inside were taking their time and going slow. It took quite a while to order and then it took quite a while for her to fill our order, which was a chocolate chip milkshake and M & M blast. Not difficult. When I got the milkshake, it tasted like milk with Chocolate Chips. No ice cream flavor, except it was the consistency of ice cream. I threw 1/2 mine away. My husband said his wasn't any better and was the first to suggest throwing them away. I will definitely not be going back.

If you want to pig out on real ice cream, do it right and avoid any of the cookie-cutter, frozen yogurt places that are everywhere. Bruster's ice cream hits the spot on a hot day, and is a hit with the kids...if only they had more seating.

Best place in town to get ice cream! We have been coming here since it has opened. There are several flavors to chose from. Along with sundaes, shakes, pies, cakes, banana splits and slushes. They have waffle cones, sugar cones, and cake cones. Of course you can get your ice cream in a dish. During the cold months they offer an awesome apple dumpling! They have free small kids cones and you can chose any flavor. A few other neat treats for the kiddos. Also doggy cones for the pups. Seating has expanded and yes its all outdoor! Its pretty obvious there is no indoor seating when you order. However, dont read the negative comment about this because I promise you will not be disappointed! I noticed today they had benches in the parking lot area on the side. So this summer go and enjoy some of their wonderful ice cream or sweet treat!

I love Brusters. Their ice cream flavors change all the time. You can always call to request a particular flavor. So far my favorite flavors are mint oreo, white chocolate oreo and graham central station! Their oreos are perfect consistency and vary in chunks which I like. There's no other flavor like graham central station, it's just so good. This location has it's own parking lot so it's easily accessible. It's outdoor seating only on a couple of picnic like tables. The only complaint I will say is their scoops have gotten smaller over time.

This is our go-to ice cream shop. I haven't been to all the ice cream parlors in town so I wouldn't call it the best, but I've also never felt the need to try another ice cream parlor. The constantly changing menu means there is always something great to try, but don't worry because they always have the old favorites (chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla) on hand. I love having the email alerts for when my favorite flavors are available. The prices are a little high, about $5 per waffle cone (after tax), but they don't skimp on the ice cream! You definitely get your money's worth. And it's way better than what you'd get in a carton at the grocery store. There employees are always kind and patient, willing to let you sample until you find the perfect flavor. If I had the disposable income and calories, I would stop by Brusters daily.

No way is this the best ice cream in town. My biggest gripe is the melty runny goop they serve. This cannot be ice cream because it's already melting into liquid when you serve it to me. I mean I literally have soup right now and I just picked up my spoon to eat it. Ice cream should be firm on the spoon then creamy and smooth as it melts in your mouth. The texture of frozen yogurt and custard holds better than this. Humph. And the charge for toppings is a joke. It's like a tablespoon of crumbs for a premium candy topping. For $5 this ice cream is not worth it. I can deal with long lines here but I cannot deal with the product. After giving this place two honest tries with epic fails I will not be coming back.
