I ate the Cranberry Salad for lunch while dining with a group of 16. Had to be on of the best salads I have ever ordered in a restaurant anywhere and I always have salad for lunch. The service was excellent, especially for the large group.

Pretty consistent food and service, atmosphere is simple: not much flair & can be a bit dull. Good beer selection, value for $ is about right, overall Avg. Place, good bartenders.

When I arrived, there was live music outside on the patio and the ambience was fun and lively . Inside, it was just as busy. Our server was great and very attentive. My dad loves to crack jokes and luckily the server had a great sense of humor and went along with him. The food was surprisingly good. My group ordered a bottle of wine, some beer, steaks and fried fish plates. The fish was a tad salty but crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The steak was also cooked perfectly to order and seasoned well. There were zero leftovers. I will definitely be back.

We were passing through Knoxville and luckily found this excellent restaurant. It is a little off the beaten path, but worth tracking down if you are in the area. I seldom give a 4 star to a place we find just off I75 , but this is a worthy exception. My wife got the seafood special ----grilled shrimp with a starter of the" soup of the moment"----creamy chicken/mushroom----she said it was exceptional.(I tasted the shrimp and it was exceptional). I ordered the peanut encrusted catfish with a Caesar salad and a side of parmesan spinach. All were great. The Caesar was a little short on anchovies, but the parmesan spinach was one of the best sides I have ever had .The catfish was perfect. The Cortenova pinot grigio was tasty and reasonably priced. As I said , if in the area , find this place.

I still love Aubrey's but some recent changes at their restaurants have left me feeling a little less in love. For one, their service has been in the range of lousy to just OK. One night we came on a very busy night and the hostess didn't seem to have all the tables in order because multiple groups that came after us were seated before us. If you can believe it, we waited a whopping 1.5 hours, though we were told it would be a much shorter wait. Then, our service was terrible, though polite. Every step of the way we had a longer-than-expected wait. Items were forgotten. My boyfriend's drink was often empty. The cooking of the food is often inconsistent, especially for take out. The food preparers often leave out sides or condiments. We were regulars of take out for a while, but we stopped going because the food was just not worth the premium price. It might be an overcooked burger or a sandwich that was once a few dollars less that is also a little less delicious than it once was. I still love Aubrey's and it's a place I often recommended to out of towners, but I have to say I wish I could send them to the Aubrey's of a few years back.

Visited last night with a co-worker. Pretty good atmosphere here. Nice restaurant/sports bar nestled within business complex and hotels. It's not easy to find to some degree. Off the beaten path and no street signs. Which might be a good thing. Food was pretty good and reasonably priced. I'm not one that tries different places often. But, was pleased that I did last night. I will probably return and bring the wife. Parking is kind of limited. But, I took it that it was cool to park in business complexes nearby. So, no worries there. I'd suggest this place as a good place for a meal for the whole family.

Quick stop in today at Aubrey's for an afternoon snack and something to wet the whistle. The sweetie and I were surprised to find the bar pretty darn busy for 3 o'clock, in between lunch and dinner times, so we quickly grabbed one of the remaining open bar tables. We were given menus and and server greeted us quickly. Though we had originally planned on having a few brewskis, we changed our minds when we saw that bottles of wine were 1/2 off on Saturdays! One bottle of Malbec, please! We were a bit disappointed that there weren't more small plates/appetizers on the menu to choose from, but decided on their Two Bowls-- a pimento cheese and black eyed pea hummus plate served with crackers and tortilla chips. The food was great. Admittedly, we did just have one dish, but it really was good! Even the sweetie (a black eyed pea hater) liked the hummus and we concluded it was more like a more flavorful, upscale Mexican bean dip. My only real complaint about our experience is that once our server realized that we weren't ordering more than snacks it was pretty obvious that we weren't that important to him any more. I mean, he did even do a proper wine presentation when bringing the bottle or return once to refill our glasses. Yes it is my first time at this restaurant, but I'm just guessing that they teach their employees better than this. I'm looking forward to anther trip here for a real meal so I can really see what they can do!

I can't remember what I ate exactly but I know it was a pasta dish and absolutely delicious! Just don't go during lunch time it is busy and loud.

We have eaten here twice recently and loved it both times. The food is good, the portions are generous without being overwhelming, and in that rarity for mid-prices restaurants, you can actually have a conversation without having to compete with "mood music". It's a bit hard to find, which is great because then there would be crowds and waiting. As it is we have not yet had to wait, though there are always plenty of customers.

Had a great meeting at Aubrey's! They have suck a great atmosphere including a great selection of music that entertaining customers is a no brainer! Didn't eat this time but what a great selection of taps for anything that might tickle your fancy as a few of my friends might say! Ha! I will inevitably be back sooner than later due to the convince of the location of this great watering hole

Stopped on the way out of town for some smashed potatoes and gravey. They are delicious! Best decision of my day.

The only reason I'm giving this review 2 stars, is because the waitress was very friendly. However, the food there was less than expected. I had ordered a sandwich that was to contain bacon, and it did, but the one piece was about 2 inches in length. Trying to keep slightly healthy, I was told they could lightly sauté some spinach when I asked for a healthy option. The spinach came with a huge helping of salt, butter, and garlic. It was so horrible, I asked them to take it away. This was not a good experience here at all!

Always enjoy the staff & atmosphere. Very good food. Easy to get in for food. We love this hideaway restaurant.

Been coming here three or four times a year over the last eight or nine years. Always enjoy it and its been great to see more of these pop up all around Knoxville. I'd put in the same category as your O'Charlies, Chili's, Fridays, Applebee's, etc...but it outclasses those places in so many ways. I'd say it's closer to Calhoun's or Parkside Grill than the chains above. The food feels real. The recipes taste like they were created by a chef in the back, and not mashed up by a franchise staff of experts until its a gimmick, overly generic, or bland to appease the widest demographic possible. I mean it's not crazy outside the box, but you can taste the fresh ingredients, the flavors are good, and the preparation is excellent. I can always go here for a solid meal that I want to enjoy and i've never been let down. Granny smith steak salad, rooster grill, ragin' cajun, roasted turkey and havarti, patty melt, thunder road, prime cheddar burger, pulled bbq pork, buttermilk fried chicken, boston scrod, lemon-lime chicken, steak on a stick, hawaiian ribeye, haystack, and rattlesnake pasta. I've ordered all of this (and miss the ahi tuna and fish sandwich) and would order all of them again. The service is clean, pretty quiet, and...well, i'd say pleasant. That's a good word. Everyone has been courteous and treats you how'd you'd expect a service staff to treat you. Never too busy, they clear your table pretty quickly, refill drinks, get bread, and check in just enough.

The food is great.and great prices for the portions too.the Mac n cheese is great.the chicken fried chicken was enough to feed 2.and the ragin Cajun was good, would have gone better on Alfredo or a salad.service was good too.

I am loving this lively bar area to eat dinner! It reminds me of a high end steakhouse like St. Elmo's Steakhouse in Indianapolis or Sullivan's. The bar attracts a middle age crowd watching the various games. However it appears to be family friendly also. The drink menu is really practical and cool. They have great drafts.

Aubrey's is a locally owned restaurant. Since I'm a fan of supporting locally owned businesses, Aubrey's is one of our favorite go-to spots. It is a casual dining restaurant, meaning it's okay to wear jeans and a t-shirt, but the food is a cut above most casual dining places. They have a nice size menu with something for every taste. We are hooked on the Hawaiian ribeye and the peanut crusted catfish. I have had lots of other things off of their menu, too, and I have never been disappointed. They also have a well stocked bar with good beer and wine choices, too. We've always received great service. Seriously, if you haven't eaten at Aubrey's you need to pay them a visit very soon.

Consistently my worst restaurant in town. Used to be good and still riding on that. These days advertise as homemade and open a can.

Saturday night half-price bottles of wine :) The Hawaiian Rib-Eye and Ragin Cajun chicken sandwich are my go to meals.

The food was absolutely delicious today. It is a great place to come for Valentine's dinner if you do not have reservations made. The calamari appetizer special was very good and the thick cut potato chips hit the spot. The apple walnut dessert is one of my favorites from anywhere.

Aubrey's has been a go to place for us for many many years, but after last night I won't be going back for a while. You know what they say about Monday's, when the chef has the night off, everything is off. The patio area is really nice at Aubrey's so we sat their, and the but the area atmosphere is very pleasant too. I decided to try something different than the rattlesnake pasta I typically order. The waitress told me the hamburgers were made from prime steaks! So with great excitement I ordered their $10 prime hamburger, medium rare. When it arrived I took a great big bite, but what I saw was like seeing a half eaten worm, made me want to spit it all out! The hamburger was almost raw! I felt the gelatinous red center and it was cold! I called the waitress over and pointed, she said what's the problem? That's what medium rare is supposed to look like! Seems like the waitress was as poorly trained as their cook! I sent it back. I had to fight to keep my French fries(which were very average. When it came back half of my hamburger was overcooked and the other half was still red and cold in the middle. :-(. The hamburger flavor of the part I thought fit to eat SURE didn't taste like prime hamburger steak! Given a choice, I'd have traded for a McDonald's hamburger any day! And I don't like Mickey D's! Burger was poorly seasoned on top of that... I was really hungry and on a schedule, yet I still I regret not asking for my money back. Aubrey's is typically a pretty good restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend going there on a Monday, and what ever you do don't order their prime hamburger! Yuk!

Great food!! Amazing service!! Makes me proud as culinarian to see places like this. I only Wish the manager wouldn't have sworn so much.

We really like Aubrey's; the food is generally very good. The salads are consistently excellent. I love the spinach queso appetizer as well as the tomato basil soup. My husband always enjoys the BBQ nachos. The wine and beer lists are pretty good-- generally a wide variety with several high quality options. Sometimes the servers at this location are less attentive than they should be, but I don't believe the owner/management would want anyone walking away disappointed with service, so if you're not getting enough attention, let your server know he/she needs to check in more often, and if if doesn't help, let the manager know.

The outdoor patio at Papermill in landmark center is a hidden jewel in Knoxville. We stopped for appetizers and their great selection of draft beer. The warm afternoon sun in February and the cold beer were a combination that would be hard to beat.

Aubrey's is good at being good. The food is consistent, service is usually good, and it is not very expensive. This place stays busy for lunch and dinner and always has a crowd at the bar. This Aubrey's location has the best bar because it is connected to the patio and on warm days they have these huge windows they just slide open for the feel of an open-air bar. They have a large variety of beer. They have one of the best house salads in town because the ingredients are fresh. The potato chips are slices of potatoes but they are like french fries they rock! I usually ask them to double dip them, meaning fry them twice so they are extra crispy. I enjoy Aubrey's for what it is. I think you will too! Check it out!

Great food and service. It was a bit noisy, so if you are looking for a quiet dinner, go when they are not that busy. We were there during UT Knoxville Freshman Move-In Weekend, so every place was just about at capacity, and Aubrey's was no exception. Presentation was nonexistent in most things, but the quality of everything we had was excellent.

Very hard to find. Signage--what? Once you finally get there you'll enjoy the warm and inviting ambiance. Try the buffalo chicken appetizer with blue cheese dip. The buffalo sauce is not too spicy, and the breading on the chicken is thick. The blue cheese has real chunks of blue cheese. Music can be a little loud, along with the loud chitter chatter during happy hour in the bar area. Also, they don't have food and drink specials at the bar, which would be nice to offer.

I have had consistently good experiences here over the years. I've had a few more than lackluster times here, yet no great ones. The food has always been good, if not a little boring sometimes, and the service had always been decent to very good. They have a great selection of beers nicely priced, especially if you go on Tuesday for $2 drafts. There seem to constantly be coupons in the metro pulse and other area advertisements.

Aubrey's is our go-to restaurant here in Knoxville. It may not be the most upscale option, but there is definitely something to be said for it's consistency. My husband and I have eaten there over a dozen times now and we have NEVER had a bad meal. The steaks are always well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sides are delicious, and the service is always good. My favorite meal is the Hawaiian Ribeye, while my husband likes the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, or the conventional Ribeye. It's a can't miss.

I went to Aubrey's with a large group (+12) during a very busy Friday night. The place had a very lively atmsphere, especially in the bar area. Luckily, we had a reservation and we're seated right away. We had one waitress and she was very attentive, got everyone's order correct, and was relatively quick with the food. I had the cajun steak, which was very tasty. I'm looking forward to trying their other steaks. This place is nice, but not GREAT, thus 4/5 stars.

Lived in Knoxville for 6 years and dined at this establishment several times, not by choice. It rarely can cook a steak correctly, always goes back. Management does not know how to respond to incidents like, sending a meal back to the kitchen. No "sorry for the mishap", no "we'll take care of this", just inept responses, as if it doesn't matter. Menu has not changed much, though the burgers are good value and when cooked correctly offer good flavor. A must miss.

First thing I noticed was the long wall of beer taps - yum! Too bad I was there for a business lunch and didn't take advantage of it. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and cinnamon apples. I'd like to think of it as a balanced meal (the pork came on toast). Toast was soggy, but the pulled pork was soft and delicious. I guess being Tennessee would be the reason it lacked the Texas sauciness I like, but it was just a touch dry. The sides were just o-k, but if I'm in Knoxville again I saw some other good looking things on the menu. =D

Great place to enjoy a fine dinner and your favorite beverage. I love the freshly cooked potato chips and dip as an appetizer. I have had numerous meals all of which I enjoyed - not have had a bad experience yet. Service has been exceptional as well. They do a trivia contest on Sundays that my wife and kids enjoy participating in. Highly recommend eating here you won't regret it!

As far as Aubrey's goes, the menu and the food are lackluster at best. We have eaten at Aubrey's on two occasions (the ones on Papermill and Concond Rd). The portions are not stingy, but not generous. The food also lacked any distinctive flair or flavor. It okay if you are out for lunch and just need to a quick bite, but forget it if you are looking for a real dinner occasion. Even they decor is just kinda blahh. I am giving two stars instead of three because the time we ate at the Papermill location the service SUCKED. We were there in that period between lunch and dinner and the place was near empty. There was an army of goofing off wait staff that was more interested in socializing that doing their job. If the server is really busy that is one thing, but lazy and distracted is another. Go somewhere else to eat.

This local chain serves up southern tasty goodness while being pretty affordable. It's always busy, at least this location and the one at Middlebrook. The patios are nice, but sometimes smokers take over if that's an issue. One of the best deals is the veggie/sides platter where you can taste several of the sides. Also the fried chicken is good, but the BBQ is better elsewhere.
