Love the food, and it seems they always have a coupon available in the paper, or on their sign for you to take advantage. The service has always been very courteous and helpful.

My grandmother and I came here to the other day for lunch. We got here a little past 2:30 still in time for the lunch specials. The place was pretty dead, and our server was about the same..... Mummer (my grandmother) ordered the steak fajita special which turned out to be a lot of food! One plate with rice, fried rice, lettuce and sour cream, then a second plate of the steak fajitas with bell peppers, onions and a side of tortillas. She ate all of it! A lot of food for an 82 year old. She consumed all of it without a flinch. I ordered a steak quesadilla with fried rice and refried beans plus a margarita. All good hence why this is 3 stars. Now the reason why this is not a high rating -- service was awful. We waited 20 minutes to have a refill, and another 15 minutes after that before we receieved our food. Turns out our server decided to go on break without letting us know nor did he take the time to let another server know to come take care of us. What the heck!? I was furious and complaining to my grandmother about it, but she was just letting it roll off her back. She is a wise woman and doesn't sweat the small stuff.... I haven't gained that wisdom yet. Bottom line -- crappy service, cheap reasonably decent food. Think about it.
Best salsa! Thursday is mariachi band night. Best Mexican restaurant ever. Never disappointed here
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Jackson. They offer a nice size variety on the menu and the food is always good. One of my fav dishes is the Botana Grande. It's nachos, taquitos & and quesadilla. I have never had a bad experience here and I'm sure I've been over 20 times.

This place is one of the best in West Tennessee. Great menu with plenty to choose from. The cost is very affordable and there is always a special. There are great milkshakes and desserts. The burgers are great and deserve to be eaten immediately. There is a covered patio if you choose to eat outside of your automobile. This business is diversity friendly and has plenty of unorthodox parking. If you are lucky, you can catch a good garage sale next to the railroad tracks. This is a Jackson, Tn classic!
Great burger and shakes. Old school order at the window and eat on a picnic table under the patio.
By far the best burgers in Jackson. All for under $5. Local owned. Can't beat it. Almost never crowded.

Good food, good service.....only one thing needs improvement. I like to stir my coffee with a spoon in order to taste it to see if I have it just right. The silverware packet they put on the table has no spoon. Please include a spoon with your eating utensils.
Cracked Barrel is one of my favorites. I was raised on it. Each time we go to this location, there is usually a small issue like wrong food, slow service, or busy waiter, but overall, the restaurant follows the timeless traditions of a family-friendly atmosphere, good home cooking, and a plethora of nostalgic knickknacks for decor. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for delicious dining or belly-filling breakfast.
Who doesn't love Cracker Barrel? Southern, fried, fattening, and oh so good. It takes me to my happy place. We had excellent service from Sharnice. She is the type of server who brings you what you want before you know you want it. Great job!

Burrito Meal

Reviews:
I'm obsessed with the vegetarian wet burrito. This place has delicious, quick, cheap food. The portions are very generous for the price. It's basically everything I want in a restaurant and everything you could hope for in a place called "Burrito Meal." It does, indeed, offer burritos that are a stellar meal.
I'm from Missouri, but every time I come to Jackson this place is on my list for food. I have had 2 items off the menu - the Burgito and the Wet Burrito - and you can't go wrong with either. Great food, fast, and great prices. The lunch specials are great. Make sure you get the Burrito with fajita peppers added!
The wife and I have eaten here numerous times and it just seems to keep getting better. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean, the staff is friendly and above everything, the food is fresh, unique-especially to Jackson and very good. It's definitely not your usual chain restaurant. My favorite is their bacon wrapped, shrimp burrito served wet. It's stuffed full of a moist and flavorful rice, beans, perfectly sautéed onions and green peppers and succulent, fresh shrimp and then wrapped in everyone's favorite-BACON! They then top with with a killer honey chipotle, queso and salsa. Gets it once and I guarantee you'll be back. Support local restaurants and try Burrito Meal please. You won't regret it.

Can't say enough about this place! The staff is friendly! The food is amazing! You'll want to try the ribeye or the pork chop! Great atmosphere!
This is a great place to eat. Dinner has always been good every time we come here. We highly recommend Charlie Bulldogs to anyone is looking for a good meal. Dustin was a good server. This is a pleasant, local restaurant. Check it out!
My hamburger was good. I asked for no onion and got onion. Husband had grilled cheese which is made with bacon and your choice of cheese, they did not ask what cheese he wanted. They were skimpy on bacon just one slice. Grilled cheese was good, nice and buttery. I had home made chips which were good but not hot, maybe by design. Not s bad place, but nothing unique or extra good.

Reviews:
This place is clean inside and looks nice. Don't let the old exterior fool you. The food was decently priced and their beans were awesome. Most Mexican food places have watery runny beans that are used just to cover your plate to make it look full. The cheese dip is phenomenal and they kept the chips coming. They could work a little in hostess customer service by means of when we were sat, they just laid the menus down and kept in walking. Didn't ask of table was fine and we almost followed her into the kitchen before we realized our menus were on a table behind us. The bathrooms are gross but who uses public restrooms anyway? Just don't go in there. They get a four star for not redoing the bathrooms. Otherwise it would be spot on.
I grew up in Jackson and used to love going to "Los" to eat. This is definitely the best and most popular place in Jackson to have Mexican food! The family who owns it has been so successful that there are now 4 in the small city of Jackson. The cheese dip is the best! Their monster margaritas are awesome and well priced for the size.
I remembered eating Los years ago. i noew live in the heart of the Southwest in Phoenix. I wass expecting to have excellent mexican food in Az..but Los blows Az mexican restaurants away!! My frineds from Phx didnt believe me and recently accompanied me ona trip to Jackson. They were amazed by Los and agreed it was way better than any mexican food they had received in Phx..

Brooksie’s Barn

Reviews:
This is a sentimental favorite for me, but it's still very good. The pulled pork is literally as good as any you'll find in Jackson. The vegetables are prepared the way they should be. I don't think Brooksie's is overly expensive; a person wouldn't eat here every day so it's a bit of a treat.
First time to Brooksie's. In town visiting family and took us over tonight. Buffet is $13.95 and is 100% worth the price! Have all the country vegetables you could ever want plus a nice salad bar. Vegetables ARE NOT cooked in butter and all were very tasty. Greens, black eyed peas, Lima beans, baked beans, etc. all terrific! Pulled pork is some of the best I've ever had. Fried catfish was fresh and good also. Also had ribs, fried shrimp, chicken. For dessert had banana pudding, peach cobbler, and a little soft serve ice cream. Would HIGHLY recommend if you like southern cooking and are hungry!! Also very clean facility with nice view of the lake.
Yummy Southern food. Recommended by my family who lives in Jackson. Fried okra, greens, black-eyed peas, roast & potatoes, fried catfish..... you name it, they had it. All of the Southern comfort food you could imagine. I loved the hush puppies. A little overcooked, but absolutely lovely.

My favorite so far is the burrito bowl. You choose your meat and toppings(which are very fresh) so it really is your way. The salsa bar is very small, but excellent choices. The pineapple cucumber is Awesome and I really like the smoky habenero.
Welcome to Moe's! Typical Moe's experience. Not my favorite burrito in the world (I still don't think rice belongs in a burrito) but hey, at least it's something. Clean, good counter service, cold beer and a salsa bar; it'll do, yes it will do. (Even though it is next to a pet store. . ."is that Chicken? Uh, yeah.. . .chicken") I seem to recall they had a pretty cool Coke machine at this location as well. The one really weird thing at Moe's we recently noticed, the super-sad celebrity lookalike (Moe's customers) posters. Wow, just wow. Worth a visit just for that! My usual, the homewrecker burrito with black beans. . .oh my gut.
Wow did I wake up on a different planet? This ol reliable Moe's was awful. Orders wrong, and not just our table, overcharged, cold food and argumentative staff. Don't know what happened but looks like business is down so it isn't just us. Where'd ya go Moe?

Old Hickory Steakhouse

We needed somewhere within walking distance of our hotel. We decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. The wait staff was great and the food was very good. We all started off w a salad with the cucumber dressing. Wow! Don't ask for the recipe. They don't give it out. But our waitress did say she would sell us some so we could take it to a lab and get it analyzed! I ordered the steak an shrimp. It was an 8 oz sirloin cooked perfectly and 3 fried shrimp. The shrimp were frozen and nothing exciting but the steak was great! I had green beans that were also great and my husband had the sweet potato casserole. He said it was fantastic. The tea was good and my glass was refilled before it was empty. The prices were great. 2 steak dinners for less than $40. If we lived here we would be back!
I don't know why anyone would give this place a bad review. I travel all over the U.S. and have eaten at many many restaurants but old hickory steakhouse is one I look forward to stopping at every time I go through Tennessee. The food is always good and the restaurant is clean. I have had most everything on the menu and not one time was it bad. I would recommend trying the beef tips at least once!! If I had one complaint it would be that you don't get your food fast enough, but for me, it's worth the wait!! Stopped tonight for an overnight visit and when I return to Tennessee in jan I will definitely stop again.
Too many other steakhouses that do a better job. It wasn't crowded but prices are not bad.
