We needed somewhere within walking distance of our hotel. We decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. The wait staff was great and the food was very good. We all started off w a salad with the cucumber dressing. Wow! Don't ask for the recipe. They don't give it out. But our waitress did say she would sell us some so we could take it to a lab and get it analyzed! I ordered the steak an shrimp. It was an 8 oz sirloin cooked perfectly and 3 fried shrimp. The shrimp were frozen and nothing exciting but the steak was great! I had green beans that were also great and my husband had the sweet potato casserole. He said it was fantastic. The tea was good and my glass was refilled before it was empty. The prices were great. 2 steak dinners for less than $40. If we lived here we would be back!

I don't know why anyone would give this place a bad review. I travel all over the U.S. and have eaten at many many restaurants but old hickory steakhouse is one I look forward to stopping at every time I go through Tennessee. The food is always good and the restaurant is clean. I have had most everything on the menu and not one time was it bad. I would recommend trying the beef tips at least once!! If I had one complaint it would be that you don't get your food fast enough, but for me, it's worth the wait!! Stopped tonight for an overnight visit and when I return to Tennessee in jan I will definitely stop again.

Too many other steakhouses that do a better job. It wasn't crowded but prices are not bad.

I was nervous about trying this place because the only other review was 3 stars, but it was very good. Definitely above average dining. First, the house cucumber salad dressing was a very good light summer dressing. Delicious. I got the 10 oz ribeye for 14.99. I had the sweet potato casserole as well. The ribeye was cooked pretty close to what I requested. I would recommend this to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

I acctually ate here bc there were no reviews. ... This place I would compare to a Western sizzlin or ponderosa. ... taste good but the quality of the 14oz ribeyeye was just ok... waitress was ok.. 15% tip not 20% bc she took to long for a refill. . I would go again if it was midnight and I was drunk
