I'm obsessed with the vegetarian wet burrito. This place has delicious, quick, cheap food. The portions are very generous for the price. It's basically everything I want in a restaurant and everything you could hope for in a place called "Burrito Meal." It does, indeed, offer burritos that are a stellar meal.

I'm from Missouri, but every time I come to Jackson this place is on my list for food. I have had 2 items off the menu - the Burgito and the Wet Burrito - and you can't go wrong with either. Great food, fast, and great prices. The lunch specials are great. Make sure you get the Burrito with fajita peppers added!

The wife and I have eaten here numerous times and it just seems to keep getting better. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean, the staff is friendly and above everything, the food is fresh, unique-especially to Jackson and very good. It's definitely not your usual chain restaurant. My favorite is their bacon wrapped, shrimp burrito served wet. It's stuffed full of a moist and flavorful rice, beans, perfectly sautéed onions and green peppers and succulent, fresh shrimp and then wrapped in everyone's favorite-BACON! They then top with with a killer honey chipotle, queso and salsa. Gets it once and I guarantee you'll be back. Support local restaurants and try Burrito Meal please. You won't regret it.

This is a local spot in Jackson, Its actually pretty good they have different kinds of pizza and all of their meats are delicious. I got the smothered burrito and it was fantastic. It's not too expensive and the service there is awesome. The only thing is it takes a little while to make, but they make everything fresh and that is what makes this place so good. Definitely a place every local needs to check out. I also wish they stayed open longer and were open on Sundays.

We were looking forward to this based on the reviews but we found it to be very basic and not that good. You order at a counter then seat yourself which was fine but the chips/salsa servings were small and the food was just ok. Nothing awful, just not what we were hoping.

I've lived in Jackson for over ten years and never ate here before a week ago. Now I can't get enough. The portions are great and the prices are fair. It is not your every day run of the mill Mexican restaurant. I had the wet burrito last time and it was great. I hear the Ron is good. It does have character.

I was so excited to eat here after reading the reviews. This site reflected it was open...as did the sign on the front door, but it was closed.:(

Talk about an unusual place for Am-Mexican tasty food. Burrito Meal has the flavor of good Gringo-Mexican blends. And for an added treat, they have concocted a Mexican flair to every menu item on their list. Makes this Southern Californian feel at home when I have something to enjoy from this restaurant. Don't forget to visit there when you come visit Beautiful Jackson, TN.

Very disappointed...whatever sauce they use inside their wet burrito is disgusting and makes it inedible. I took 2 bites and couldn't stand to eat anymore. It tastes like its soured and bad...Never coming back.

Visiting from California. My burrito had a mix flavor of authentic Mexican with a twist of American. Prices were decent and staff was very friendly and even gave us a coupon for our next visit. Would eat here again

Thank you fellow yelpers in Jackson! Because of your awesome reviews I found Burrito Meal while staying at HoJo on my trip back to VA. I was looking for a delivery place, and after reading about this Mom and Pop local joint with roots from Southern Cali, this CA girl turned east coaster knew it was ment to be. I called and it was refreshing to hear that they were having dinner, and that after they were finished they would get right on making my pizza, I love that it was family local biz! They asked for my number to actually call me when they were close so I could come and get my pizza in the lobby. Right on time I got a call from Seth, really nice guy who actually struck up a conversation upon delivery. I ordered a sweet tea, tasted fresh and homemade, score! I also got a large Chicken Mexican Alfredo pizza with bacon, omg one of the best pizzas I have every had. Homemade hand tossed crust, not to thin not to thick, creamy Mexican Alfredo, marinated chicken, fresh salsa, and crispy bacon...amazing! I ate half by myself, I had not ate since Oklahoma so I was hungry. I saved the rest and put it on ice to eat for dinner the next night, and saved two slices for my hubby. He agreed it was one of the best pizzas he had ever had. I'm so happy to have gotten to experience the almighty Burrito Meal but so sad it's 13 hours away :( I'm convinced the pizza gave me the energy I needed for my long drive home, thank you burrito meal for your hot fresh epic pizza of deliciousness...I hope we meet again!

Oddly named & with a modest-bordering-on-rustic dining area, Burrito Meal could easily be overlooked by even adventurous diners. But that would be a mistake. Their food is filling, interesting and very reasonably priced ($5 burritos). In addition to burritos, they have queso, quesadillas, nachos, salads & most recently added, pizza. (Try a BLT or Mexican pizza!) The signature sauce is sweetish & worth trying.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
