Pleasantly surprised by my first taste of the Hot n Sour soup. I usually can tell quality of a place by this tip off. Best Hot n Sour that I can remember. Then a simple egg roll has a better taste. I had to ask...and yes indeed everything is homemade here. No frozen rolls or canned soup. It makes a noticeable difference. In addition the portions sizes are quite ample so no need for the buffet. Better quality food and ample portions. Everything at lunch menu is just $5.50

Finally, some good CHINESE in the Chattanooga area! My wife and I split the Almond Fried Chicken, wonton soup, and each had an egg roll. The egg rolls are the best I've had in years! They are definitely made from scratch, and you can really taste the freshness in the cabbage. (Frozen egg rolls tend to yield soggy cabbage). The Almond Fried Chicken was tasty, but the chicken could have been cut a little smaller. The fried rice on the side complemented it well, but would be a little bland on it's own. My only disappointment was in the wonton soup. These were just loose wontons, not stuffed with a pork mixture as I've had at most Chinese restaurants. The broth was too thin - it needed to be concentrated more, or maybe just add some bullion. I may try another soup next time, but I know from experience that the broth was just too watered down. Still, overall a very good restaurant. I did take out, but they have a nice dine in area also. Chattanooga has lots of nice Japanese restaurants, and usually when I ask people for a good Chinese restaurant, they name a Japanese (or sometimes pan-Asian) place. But Panda is straight Chinese all the way.

Best Chinese in chattanooga! This place is my new favorite. Friendly, quick service, really good food. A little pricy but not outrageous. I recommend it!

I've only eaten here once so far, but I was very impressed with their hot and sour soup.Their egg rolls are very good as well, and everything we had tasted like it was made fresh to order. I would recommend the hot pepper chicken, if you're into spicy food; It had a nice sauce. Their kung pao sauce was a little spicy, but bland. The service was polite and attentive. If you're in the Chattanooga area crazing Chinese food, I would recommend this place. The lunch prices looked good, and dinner prices were about average.

Consistently good food. My favorite place to order food to take home and eat while watching a movie with my family.

If you aren't ordering from the lunch menu, dinner is pretty pricey. We ordered orange chicken and it was way to sweet to eat. Not my favorite!

The hot and sour soup was tolerable and the fried rice had too much ginger. It was okay, but nothing to write home about.

My favorite eat in/take out Chinese in Chattanooga! The price is right, they always greet me with a smile and excellent service, and our starters are fired when we walk in the door! The hot and sour soup is great, and any entree with brown sauce will be a hit!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
