Did a little research for a good BBQ place in TN. This popped up and we decided to go for it. So glad we did. Good was awesome! The staff is friendly. Ribs were on point! Brisket was good. Sweet potato casserole was delish and I don't normally like it. Highly recommend this place and will return if we are ever close by

We went here to meet family and overall, the atmosphere and servers were great. I was craving some ribs and they were really good. The fried corn had a batter on it and it was different. I'm used to fried corn without a batter. The Pineapple Coleslaw was average. Couldn't really taste the pineapple and it was bland. My husband said his pulled pork was really salty. His beans were good, but agreed that the pineapple coleslaw was bland. Maybe they meant to salt the coleslaw and double salted the pulled pork? Other people had a huge chicken salad and pork sandwich. They didn't complain or rave about their meals. The restaurant was clean and it had a cute little store in the front. I probably won't visit here again, since we try various restaurants when we are in the area.

I was really excited to see that they served "Texas Brisket." Nice try, but this isn't close to Texas brisket. Overcooked and no smoke ring to be found. Very heavy on the rub and would have no flavor without it and the BBQ sauce, which was pretty good. My daughter had the pork and said it was good. Guess I made the wrong choice.

So we found this place by accident driving to Cordell Hull. Finally had a chance to stop in and try out the food. Our server Misty, provided us with the best service we've ever experienced. She knew exactly when to ask if we needed something and when to just pick up our stuff and keep on going. The bbq was everything we hoped it would be. The brisket, pork and rib platter was absolutely the best I've had in the area. The sauces were just as good. I really don't care for mustard style sauce and I ended up taking some home. Misty spaced out the meal perfectly. We neither waited too long nor felt rushed. I've been searching for a place like this for years and will certainly be coming back on a regular basis. comfy, casual atmosphere with the best BBQ around!

My husband and I were driving from Nashville to Knoxville for a football game and were searching for a good place to stop for a bite. Somehow we found the Timberloft and I am so happy we did. We are both from Missouri and are used to the Kansas City BBQ style. This is definitely a different style BBQ but it is absolutely delicious! It has an incredible smokey flavor that doesn't even need a sauce. We were hungry and wanted to try a sample of the meat so we ordered some sort of combo that had ribs, pulled pork, and brisket with some sides and cornbread. Everything on the plate was amazing. The pulled pork had a smokey flavor I've never had before and it was so juicy. The ribs fell off the bone. I am not normally a big dessert person, but the waitress told us about a chocolate cheesecake that I could not resist. So worth it! The service was fast and very friendly. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Homemade desserts, slow smoked BBQ, and friendly service. Overall definitely 5 stars.

Loved it! Got the lumberjack sandwich with pulled pork and jalapeños with cheese. On the side timberloft homemade fries. Yummy! Perfect temperature and great smoky bbq flavors. Lots of bbq sauces to choose from - vinegar based, Memphis style, and hot. The only downside was the wait for the food was a little longer than we would have liked. It was during lunch on a Friday my boyfriend and I went while we were on a road trip.

We found them by accident while looking at RV parks. The best and biggest fresh Gulf shrimp I ever ate. The breading was crisp and light, while the shrimp were tender and sweet. Their take on curly fries was right on. Good iced tea is rare in the restaurant business these days. Their tea tasted like homemade sun tea. The BBQ looked and smelled great also. I can't wait to go back when we are up that way.

We love a good BBQ meal. We moved to Nashville three years ago and love to explore the surrounding counties. This place is a gem! We came here on the suggestion of a coworker who lives in the area. It looks very country on the outside. The building is a little run down but don't let that fool you! We ordered the campfire nachos for the table to share. The plate was empty in minutes! I ordered the BBQ mac and cheese and it was amazing. It was a very large portion. Two other people I was with ordered the same type of sandwich (I can't remember but they got the same one) but they ate the entire plate. My friend ordered the BBQ loaded baked potato. It was the only picture I took because it was HUGE! It was delicious and she wished she could finish the whole thing! The waitstaff was very customer oriented and polite. Our waiter was attentive and our drinks were never emptied. Everyone was friendly and we had a great overall experience. We left all talking about what we would order the next time we visited! We will definitely be back. This place is worth the drive!

Yes, if you have never experienced a quality BBQ experience (AKA never lived the South), this probably is heaven on earth for you and you can die happy. HOWEVER - if you are from the South, this place is good... but nothing to write home about. Yes - they have BBQ and all the different major style of BBQ sauces... and their BBQ meet product is rather moist and has a great smokey flavor. HOWEVER - their drinks are rather weak (and not so well made) - Their steaks are meh at best...

Traveling through and happened to find this place on yelp. What an amazing find! The portions are enormous & delicious! We stopped for lunch around 1pm so it was not busy and the food came quickly. We had the pork nachos, brisket sandwich, and chicken tenders for the kids. The staff was friendly as well.

We were in Gordonsville, TN for a funeral and saw this place on Yelp, so we decided to give it a go. I am glad we did. We had about 10-12 people and were seated right away. The service and food was all amazing! I will definitely stop here sometime again when I'm traveling 40 E.

Just want everyone to know this is a great place. To be stuck in the middle of nowhere, it's a big surprise. That being said, I am a BBQ snob. I live in Memphis, travel over all 50 states, and know what it's supposed to be. Their pork is 4 stars. Same for the ribs. I had the brisket tonight, and you guessed it 3 stars. The hot sauce is also 4 stars. The brisket just had no flavor without the sauce. Really a disappointment. The beans and slaw were good. I don't eat desserts, but they looked great

My family and Relatives are on a road trip and decided to try this place. It was sooo delicious, we tried the pulled pork sandwiches, nachos, and chicken salad... Oh and the Absolute stress, Long Island Ice Tea and the Hap & Harry's drinks. I would recommend pulling over and trying this smoke house. Enjoy!!!!!

The Timberloft catered a country wedding we had outdoors under a pavilion and they did a fantastic job. Not only was it beautiful, professional and very elegant, but I can't say enough about the food they serve. My guests couldn't quit raving about it. We had the smoked brisket and turkey which just melts in your mouth. The flavor was perfect without any sauce. All of the sides were delicious. We especially enjoyed the broccoli casserole and the sweet potato casserole. The pineapple coleslaw is the best. Their presentation was very elegant and added to the ambiance of our event. They brought a serving staff who were very friendly and professional. They kept the tables cleared and served the bar. I will definitely be calling them again for our next catered event!
