This place is a restful break from the gridlock of Germantown Pky. Icy cold beer. Crispy hot fries. Crunchy crust pizza pie using many local ingredients. I was not too excited about this place based on the reviews, but at this location I can say the product is awesome. The beef is local (Fayette County) and is deliciously beefy since it is fresh and processed without adding the water and salt that is typical of restaurants that buy from a distributor such as Sysco...(yuck!!). The lunch menu is affordable and the rest of the menu is certainly not pricy. You can have a beer at the bar (which usually has locals seated side by side) and watch sports or the variety of table and booth seating offer other options. If you stop by, be sure to ask to thumb thru the Exline 40th anniversary book which highlights the 4 decades of service this company has provided to the area. A Memphis institution not to be missed! Melvin and Scott will keep things moving at night. Most employees are long term members of the team and the commitment shows in the service and the food. In addition, Walt and Vi Exline have been good to Memphians over the years with support for local sports, charities and community events. Please support these type endeavors not only because the owners are good at what they do with food and service.....but also because they are people who share their success with their city and their employees.

Worst pizza ever!! Girlfriend and I agree first and last time. The pizza was like cardboard, not fresh at all, on the level of a Tombstone frozen pizza , but worse. We ordered the Exline, and it was nasty. No exaggerations, there was a 1/4 inch layer of sausage patty over the entire pizza, really??? We had a coupon so we tried it, but wouldn't go again if free.

We've driven by this place so many times and never tried it, so I finally said we should go. Inside it reminds me a lot of a "north east" pizza joint, and in fact the pizza reminds me of that region as well. No, I don't mean New York style pizza, they don't do that. The pizza is a crustless (toppings edge to edge) style, and I'd venture the toppings are piled on a bit thicker than most are used to around here. As a result you can get away with a bit smaller of a pie. It's cut into small squares as well, because you're going to be eating it with a fork, not holding a slice. We also ordered the Spaghetti for a child, which was pretty average but the portion was huge. Enough for three adults! The 1/8th of it the little one ate met with rave reviews though. I'm not sure I'd say this is my favorite sort of pizza, but it's a style I haven't seen anywhere else in Memphis, and a little variety is good. Check it out.

Not great sums it up. The pizza was okay but for the price we paid I expect a lot better. Ambience was friendly. As for the pizza - Dough tastes store bought. Toppings are good but the sauce/cheese ratio is off. A combination pizza was teaming with sauce while a pepperoni pizza left us searching for sauce. I would suggest getting pizza somewhere else.

Do yourself a favor....don't. Picked up a large and medium to take home. $45.01!!!! I thought they made a mistake. Turns out I was the one who made a mistake. Shouldn't have darkened the door of this rip-off joint. Crusts were like cardboard and BURNED. I love salty food but the Exliner pizza was so salty I could barely choke it down. I hate to ruin all the positive reviews this place is getting but my advice is skip it until they figure out how to make a decent pizza. Yuk. Also it wasn't worth a third what was charged. CiCi's or Little Caesar's is marginally better pizza at a fourth of what these people charge.

OK at best. The place was clean and my pizza was fine but a little under cooked crust and very light on the sauce. Staff was nice. Very dark inside. Large menu for a PIZZA place. Just not my go to place for pizza in Memphis.

Had the 12" veggie. Enjoyed the crust and toppings, but was a tad bland due to almost no base sauce. Wife had the pimento & cheese sandwich. Sandwich was "ok". Chips were stale. Service was prompt and friendly.

I ordered the chicken wings - some of the best chicken wings I have eaten. They gave me a ton of food and it was so good.

Worst Crust in the Universe. The first time I ate it, I thought they forgot to remove the cardboad underneath it before serving it. I realized it was connected and had toppings on top of it so I scraped them off. The toppings are good but God bless the crust is horrific. We always eat the toppings off and leave the crust and not once have they asked if there was a problem with the crust. Um, hello, the entire crust is on the table untouched, obviously there is an issue. The spaghetti is really, really yummy though. But they should bring a chainsaw to the table with that pizza.

Ew! This was quite possibly the worst pizza I've ever had. And everyone else that ate it agrees with me. We had the Mexican pizza and the Veggie Pizza and for 2 larges it was over $50! Eek! The dough tasted like cardboard, the sauce was yucky and the whole thing was just disgusting. We all agreed we would have rather had Little Caesar's!
