Ken’s Fast Foods

5 Stars just for the Milk Shakes alone -- they are SUPER OUTSTANDING ! Menu isn't extensive, but what they do offer, they do right. French fries are the thick cut variety, we really love the fries they serve at Ken's. Great prices too, and friendly & fast service.
Very average and typical quick order burger place. The burgers are on the smaller side and of average quality but taste fine. Nothing special. I had the slaw burger which was just a simple burger with a honey-mustard type cole slaw added. The fries are very large cut and ok. The service was very fast if impolite... It's definitely a local staple as it was very, very busy at noon on the Monday I visited.
Best fries ever. For those not of the area, a slaw burger is not made with cole slaw, but with pool room mustard slaw. The menu is short but everything is delicious. Fast service, very affordable, super friendly staff. Get a slush puppy! You can't go wrong here. There isn't a bad item on the menu. This place has thrived for years and it's because they keep a great staff and a perfect menu.

Best southern buffet in the area. Their parking lot is always full and people come from miles around just to eat here. They have a delicious variety of southern fixings but you MUST try their Butter Roll! It's to die for!!
Good southern food...the catfish was crispy and not greasy......good old fashioned collards, black eye peas, green beans and corn bread. The buffet items vary depending on what is coming out of the oven and the hot steam is enough to get your saliva glands going. It is a simple open seating arrangement and make sure you wear your stretchy pants before you go to this buffet. They could use a little more wait staff or less patrons, but I would say the extra wait staff would be preferential for Marvin's :-) Everyone there has a smile and a warm greeting for everyone !!
The place locals love to Pig Out at on a Friday or Saturday night in Fayetteville (Marvin's does get super-packed on the weekends). It's basically a typical Southern buffet, although it does offer frog legs. Ummm, do frog legs taste like chicken ? Well, sorta. Yeah, it's white meat like chicken, but it has a muscle-like texture and a fishy odor to it. My suggestion, if you want chicken just eat chicken, because fried chicken in the Deep South is excellent. Frog legs, not so much.

La Fuente Mexican Restaurant Llc

Reviews:
I had been in Fayetteville, TN for a little over a week taking care of some business. I wasn't in a situation where I could cook for myself and I was really getting tired of fast food. Someone recommended I try this little Mexican buffet that was alright but nothing special. It was nice however to have finally taken a break from fast food and to have an alternative from southern food. I am not a big fan of southern food with maybe the exception of barbecue. While driving to the recommended Mexican restaurant, I passed La Fuente and noticed that it was packed with cars. I decided to give them a try later and boy, was I happy that I did. I ended up visiting this restaurant about five times during my stay and was not disappointed once. The food was authentic and delicious. For the portions and quality the prices were very reasonable. I can not recommend this place more.
Went to La Fuente tonight, with friends, to celebrate my Birthday (which is next Friday, but why not have a party a bit early ?). Food was very good, I ordered the Camarones Vallarta, my fiancee went with a Shredded chicken Chimichanga dish. We both enjoyed our meals, I thought my shrimp was very tasty, and the grilled vegetables were very fresh. My fiancee also enjoyed her TWO large, frozen peach-flavored margaritas ! Everyone else at our table enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent also, the crew came out to sing Happy Birthday to me while I was forced to don a red Sombrero. A very enjoyable night.
The atmosphere of La Fuente is really enjoyable colorful, well decorated and clean, the unique jewelry store inside is a fun touch. Our waiter was prompt and friendly best of all we arrived within the last hour of operations but were not rushed in anyway as we enjoyed our meal and conversation. I would love to give a full 5 stars but I was a bit disappointed by the food. I believe everyone else in my party of six was satisfied yet I had ordered the taco salad and it had far too much cheese. Don't get me wrong I normally love cheese but this was a usual tortilla salad shell with a little meat, little lettuce and 4 cups of queso, it was overwhelming. I would go back again for sure but would not order that dish in the future.

Great breakfast, eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy and coffee. Even free wi fi! Love the double wide trailer and great waitresses and cooks. Couldn't have asked for better.
Not happy -- literally a 45 minute wait for pancakes, and to top it off, when the pancakes finally arrived they were lousy. Flavorless and rubbery, hideous. How do you screw up pancakes ?!?! Then another 10 minutes of my life wasted in line waiting to pay my bill. Needless to say, we won't be back. Ever. Awful experience, I very rarely give out 1 Star reviews, but that is what I experienced.
Great restaurant! Don't let the outside fool you... we had a rib plate and pork plate for lunch and we will be back. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly :-)

Honey’s Restaurant

Neat Diner. It is on the town square so parking will be tuff at lunch time. Not back on price and food was OK. if you are up for and adventure lunch or Dinner. then this is your place. Lots of local history on the wall.
One of the places we hit up when we're back in Fayetteville is Honey's. In fact, it's between them and only two or three other places EVERY time we're back in Fayetteville. The reason? POOLROOMS. Now, everyone "officially" calls them "slawburgers"...particularly in print...Fayetteville has even begun an Annual Slawburger Festival. But if you've been around they are, and always will be, poolrooms. Most of these places WERE poolrooms at one time. Even in the 90's and later, my aunt was embarrassed to eat there (but always did, anyway) because ladies did not hang out in pool halls. So what we have today is a long-time family restaurant. We prefer it to Bill's next door because of the camaraderie and blessed NO SMOKING atmosphere. The slaw is mustard based, a little sweet, but not cloyingly so. The salad bar is smallish and straightforward; great for a side dish, but if you're making a meal out of it, your patron saint must be Karen Carpenter. It's hard to contemplate why something as basic as a poolroom should be so attractive. It's ingrained, for one thing; my grandfather ran a hamburger joint by the NE corner of the square in the 1920's and HE sold mustard slaw on his burgers. Honey's has photos dating back to the 20's...my granduncle is in one of them and my uncle in another. I have no idea whether they ever worked here or were just customers in the picture but, either way, they ATE here. There are booths and counter service. The waitresses (you so see a couple of guys) seem to be from Lincoln County High or Motlow and are friendly even when they're busy. They are particularly attentive to my nephews, but that may be something else. If you want that small-town, homey Mayberry feel, take a little time and nab some poolrooms. I haven't tried the breakfast (though I'm sure it's good) because (a) we're never there that early and (b) we want poolrooms. That is all. They're closed on Sundays, BTW, and close EARLY on Saturdays. And appears to shut down early during "Host of Christmas Past," which just seems dumb.
Second visit here and as much as I loved my first visit, this meal was equally horrible and most likely my last here. The food i was served was not what I ordered and not one of the three young ladies who came to my table made any attempt to make it right. I left hungry. Service was terrible from beginning to end today. I won't be back

Raphael’s Italian Restaurant

405 Main Ave S
Fayetteville, 37334
Reviews:
RAPHAEL'S ITALIAN [405 Main Avenue South - yes, I too was surprised it's not "Main Street"; (931) 438-3337]. Here is another food option, settled in as it were on the grave of a former Dairy Queen. Now, we're not talking The Hill here, nor even any number of Little Italies scattered across the land like Captain McCluskey in the Luna Azure, but it's a pleasant place for a nice meal with the little ones or your pals or your club members, bearing or sans red chapeaus. Interestingly, there's a hint of the Arabic or Greek in the dishes - Chef Ink and I could swear we tasted that Grecian hint of cinnamon in the tomato sauce. The novelty and the hearty portions, which are the rule, are offered at a price that pleases pocketbooks and woos wallets. I ran into a ghost from my past, Harold Student, brother of the infamous Warden Bettinna, and he looked as satisfied as the rest of us did. No frills, but clean and cozy. Raphael's, not Harold.
Lots of items on the menu. I do not like the tomato sauce here. It tastes like they add nutmeg or something similar....I grew up in an Italian nbhd in NJ and know what real Italian food is supposed to taste like.
Went to Raphael's last night and dined in. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, it's what we usually get when we go to Raphael's. The pizza served here reminds me of "Greek-style" pizza that we use to consume back in CT. Somewhat doughy, a bit greasy, but very tasty. I'm sure some people wouldn't like this type of pizza, but we feel it's the best in Fayetteville (which isn't a great endorsement, the pizza competition is very limited, and not very good at all). We have ordered off the menu in the past -- chicken parmigiana to be exact. It was frozen chicken fingers with tomato sauce and cheese plopped on top. Awful. My suggestion is to stick with the pizza. Also, this place never seems busy, even on a Friday or Saturday night. Think they do more delivery service then dining in. So eating in the restaurant is a pleasant experience, nice & quiet, just the way I like it.

Cahoots Restaurant

Reviews:
I was in Fayetteville on business and looking for something that was not fast food. The options were limited, so we decided to try Cahoots. Atmosphere was average but the history of the building and the jail cells were very cool. The food was excellent. Had the prime rib and it was perfect along with the large baked potato. Our server was excellent and took good care of us. Prices were very reasonable. Would go back again when in the area.
Jail house food?,,, Not! Jail house experience?,,, Why not?!! ;D Cahoots, formerly an old jail house and fire station, now a restaurant which maintains a few jail cells in its original condition. It also sports a logo quite similar to Cheers. Remember that one?! 8) Anywhooo, the food here is alright, but it's the experience that draws most. Back in mid October, our group of 16+ photogs were seated in the reserved jail cells. There were two tables in each of the two jail cells with one table in between. Dark, tight quarters, but it was a fun dining experience. Customer service is super friendly and fast. While here, be sure to check out the photos on the walls as they capture its original essence. This is the place to visit if you like history and desire to dine in one of the jail cells. Don't worry. It won't be your last meal. ;D 4 stars for the historic jail cell ambiance and experience. 3 stars for the food. 4 stars for the customer service.
It's fun to eat in an old jailhouse and there is a full bar to distract you from the mediocre food. The food used to be alot better, they've changed some of the items and whoever is cooking now isn't very good at it. Not much parking and prices are kinda high.

Harken back to the 1980s, when LJS rivaled Captain D's. I did that and it was a mistake. Let me see if I can find the word... Greasy? Yeah, but that's not the word. Old? Yeah it was tough, stale and tastes like the grease is from the 1980s, but still not the word... DISGUSTING! That was the word. After two glasses of tea, the nasty greasy coating in my mouth remained and don't EVEN get me started on the greasy, nasty belches I was was experiencing hours later. If you are looking for a fast fish dinner, this isn't the place. I say no to groups and kids, because NO ONE should ever eat here.
